Work Text:
Sunoo is no stranger to the attention he receives on a daily basis.
Since he was little, even strangers on the streets would randomly approach his parents and gush about what a beautiful baby he was, how he and his sister look so much alike. With a fan of long, dark eyelashes, skin that’s soft and poreless, and a shade of brown in his eyes that was uncommon, Sunoo’s gotten used to all the questions and comments about his appearance. Even with his acorn hair, he was still considered one of the most beautiful babies.
That hasn’t changed, even now that he’s an adult and in his 20’s. If anything, it seems like strangers have gotten even bolder with their compliments.
He’s sitting at the bar in Mystic for Heeseung's birthday, one of those nightclubs that fills their VIP lounge with a smoke machine and feeds strings of led lights along the walls, and as his treat for their favorite hyung’s birthday, he’s ordered a round of shots for everyone. He’s also ordered a drink for himself while he waits. It’s a packed night, bodies pushing against each other as frantic pop music pulses through the walls and even the floor; he can feel the vibration in his feet.
With the heat of the club settling in from the crowd, Sunoo is thankful he decided on wearing a crop top. It’s just a simple one, a black and white striped ringer crop top with the brand sewn in over the left side of his chest, and loose jeans with combat boots. Jungwon had told him that it was casual since they were meeting with friends so he went with a simple makeup as well, just a bit of black kohl along his eyes and some highlighter on his cheeks.
His outfit is probably the exact reason as to why someone is sliding into the empty seat beside him even though there are several seats that are unoccupied.
“Wow, I hope you know cpr because you just took my breath away! What’s your name, angel?”
He’s heard that one before.
Jungwon always tells him that his face gives him away so Sunoo tries to manage a polite smile instead of the eye roll that’s just dying to throw towards this guy. “Sunoo,” he answers.
“Pretty name for such a pretty boy. I’m Danny. Are you alone?”
Danny’s Korean is a bit stuttered so Sunoo can tell he’s not from around here. He must be Korean-American with that name. Danny’s eyes trail from his waist up to his face and then back down again. Self-conscious and so aware of the meaning behind Danny’s wandering eyes, Sunoo sits up straighter and pulls his shirt down, not that it helps much being a crop top. “No, I’m here with my boyfriend actually and he’s waiting for me so I better–”
“Mmm, you look exactly like my ideal type, Sunoo,” Danny says, obviously ignoring the fact that Sunoo had blatantly told him he had a boyfriend. He drags his eyes down Sunoo’s midsection again.
Sunoo’s so thankful for an escape when Hyunjin, one of his other friends and the bartender, comes over with a tray full of shots and his cocktail. “Here you go, Sunoo! Sorry about the wait.”
“It’s okay, Hyunjinnie! I owe you one!” He shouts over the music as he grabs the tray and gets ready to make a quick run for it.
“Wait, where are you going? I wanted to–”
He must have done something good recently to receive all this good karma because when he turns to head back to the group, Sunghoon is approaching him, looking like perfection itself with his light hair and dark eyes curious as they look over to him. Sunghoon’s legs look extra long in those tight black jeans and his biceps are practically bulging in his sleeveless rock band t-shirt.
“Baby, do you need help carrying that?”
“Sunghoonie!” Sunoo calls, half in relief and half pure joy in being with his boyfriend again. He hands the tray over to him and holds onto his arm. “Meet Danny, he kept me company while I was waiting for the drinks. He said I was pretty.”
Sunghoon glances over at the guy who’s still sitting in the seat that is next Sunoo’s, a drink in his hand while he also gives Sunghoon a once-over, his lip pulling up at the corner like he’s smelling something rotting. “Oh, uh-hi, how are you? I’m fine, thank you!” Sunghoon blurts out in a string of English. He turns back to Sunoo, his eyes softening. “You do look pretty.”
Sunoo blinks.
That… isn’t the reaction he’s expecting.
“I’m outta here,” Danny mumbles. He’s not going to deal with a boyfriend right now. Chugging down the rest of his beer, Danny gives Sunoo a wave and then disappears into the crowd.
Finally
“Huh, interesting, I didn't think there'd be so many foreigners here,” Sunghoon comments lightly once they’re alone. He shrugs, turning to face Sunoo with a dimple in his smile. “Ready to head back? I think Wonnie is about ready to call search and rescue for you.”
“Hoon. Danny was hitting on me. He was looking at my body like he wanted to eat me.”
Sunghoon's eyebrows go into his hair. “Oh. Do you know him?”
“No, and I told him I had a boyfriend too.”
“Well, I’m happy he complimented you, sunshine, because you look amazing tonight.” Sunghoon reaches out and brushes a strand of hair back from Sunoo’s eyes, wrapping the arm that’s not holding onto the tray around Sunoo’s narrow waist. The crowd closes in around them as the music begins to reach its crescendo. “Let’s go sing happy birthday to Heeseungie.”
Sunoo pouts at him and then just nods before he’s weaving through the crowd back to their friends, not saying anything else. Sunghoon isn’t sure what’s going on with the look Sunoo gives him but after a moment, he follows behind.
.
By the time they leave, Sunoo’s stifling a yawn behind his hand and Sunghoon swears that he can see the sun peeking up over the skyline on the horizon. The streets are still alive with the late, late night crowd who are out to start their weekend. There’s no way any of them are going to be joining that. Jungwon looks like he’s about to pass out against the wall and Sunoo just wants to fall into bed, Jay is too busy trying to help Heeseung walk straight and Jake and Riki are side by side, singing to a Michael Jackson song.
It’s probably best to call it a night (or morning?)
With a couple quick and sleepy goodbyes with the rest of the group, Sunoo and Sunghoon head in the direction of the apartment, Sunghoon immediately curling Sunoo into his side to keep him warm from the chill. He’s most likely freezing in that crop top but is too stubborn to say anything.
“I don’t even know if I can take a shower once we get home but I smell like beer.” Sunoo scrunches his nose. He thinks he remembers a girl spilling her drink on him sometime during the night.
Sunghoon smiles, pressing a kiss to the top of Sunoo’s head. “By the time we get home, you’ll be sober enough.” Sunoo hums, mumbling something sleepily to him as he laces their fingers together. “Hey, you okay? You got really quiet in there.”
“Hmm? I’m just tired, I guess, and a bit drunk,” Sunoo giggles. “Is my makeup still good?”
“Of course it is, you always look perfect. Are you sure? Did I do something?”
“Babe, no, you didn’t, okay? It’s nothing. I just want to go home and sleep now.”
“Doesn’t sound like nothing…,” Sunghoon mumbles. “Is this about that guy earlier? Daniel?”
Sunoo sighs tiredly. “Danny. So you remember now?”
“Of course I do.”
“But you’re not bothered by it?”
“Bothered by it? Why would I be? I already told you how pretty you look tonight too. He wasn’t lying about that.”
“Yeah, but, Hoonie, he said that because he was interested in me, like he wanted to ask me out and I’m sure he would have if you hadn’t come in time and that doesn’t bother you? Doesn’t make you jealous?”
Sunghoon blinks. He’s not really sure what Sunoo is asking. It doesn’t really bother him because he trusts Sunoo. They’ve been together since their high school days, officially dating for 4 years now, and he figured they have already gotten way past that point in their relationship where insecurities and jealousy no longer threaten to break them apart.
Sunoo sighs again, a headache starting to pound behind his eyes. “Nevermind, let’s just drop it.”
Sunoo stays silent the rest of the walk back but to Sunghoon, his thoughts are as loud as can be.
Sunoo acts like nothing happened the next morning. He leaves for his classes with a sweet kiss to Sunghoon’s cheek and quick goodbye that he’ll see him later. Something doesn’t sit right with Sunghoon though, so he does what every good boyfriend does and decides he needs to see his friends on what to do because if it continues to drag on, Sunoo won't forget about it. He'll hold a grudge and then everyone around him will suffer. Sunghoon's been on the receiving end multiple times since they've started dating, having to face Sunoo's mood swings, even if his pouts are adorable. His grudges, however, are not fun.
He meets Jake at the restaurant where Heeseung and Jay are already starting their shift. The restaurant is fancy, the kind where the water is expensive and served in champagne glasses. Off to the side is a long bar where the restaurant's impressive display of fine wines and exotic alcohol tempts its customers. That's where he sits with Jake.
“Where’s the kids?” Heeseung asks, rolling the sleeves of his black button down up to his elbows.
“Jungwon and Riki have class too,” Jays as he starts to wipe one down one of the nearby tables. He has his apron tied across his waist and his hair slicked back.
“So what’s this crisis you’re worried about?” Jake asks, ever the concerned sweetheart.
Sunghoon fidgets with his fork, stabbing it absently into his salad. He could barely manage to take a few bites without guilt crawling into his stomach about Sunoo. “I think Sun’s mad at me.”
Heeseung looks sympathetic, his eyebrows pulling together in the middle of his forehead. “What’d you do?”
“It’s more like… what I didn’t do.”
Jay joins them now, standing across from Sunghoon and Jake behind the counter with Heeseung. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sunoo mad. You must have really fucked up then.”
Sunghoon glares at him, Jay just grinning back. “Thanks. Anyway, yesterday at the club, he told me some guy was hitting on him.”
“No! Are you serious?” Jake’s eyebrows fly up into his hair. “What did you do?”
“Uh, nothing, really,” Sunghoon says, glancing between his three friends. “But I-”
“Wait, wait.” Jay holds his hand out. “Some guy was hitting on your boyfriend and you didn’t do anything about it?”
“Well, he called Sun pretty and he’s not wrong, so I couldn’t say anything.”
“Whoa, Sunghoon-ah, if someone was hitting on Jaeyunnie like that, you know I would have punched the fucker out.” Heeseung says, his expression so serious, Sunghoon knows he means it. Then his gaze softens when he turns to Jaeyun to press a kiss to his cheek. “Right?”
Jaeyun playfully pushes him away, but he’s flushed prettily and smiling. “You’re crazy. Violence is never the answer, you know.”
Sunghoon’s mind is reeling at this point. Did Sunoo want him to get into a fight then? He doesn’t understand why. That would have started a whole scene and they would have been kicked out, on Heeseung's birthday, possibly never being able to come back. “I don’t think I’ve ever punched someone before.”
Heeseung shrugs, grinning. “It’s never too late to start, Hoon.”
Jaeyun scoffs, trying to get Heeseung to get back to work with folding the rest of the silverware into the cloth napkins. “Don’t listen to him, he’s just trying to sound meaner than he really is.”
“I’m not the only one, believe me. Ask Jay what he would do.”
“Oh, I’d totally beat the hell out of anyone who tried to flirt with Jungwonnie. No one is allowed to do that but me.”
Heeseung pats Jay on the back, like a sort of proud father. “Exactly. Hoon, we know how incredibly sweet you are to Sunoo and how much you love him but sometimes, maybe, I don’t know, you could be more…”
“Rough?” Jay offers.
“Right, you could be more rough, like show him how manly you can be, how you would fight for him like his knight in shining armor!”
“Oh, god,” Jaeyun sighs, looking like he’s just so done with this conversation. "You know Sunoo has a black belt, right? If anything, he’d be the one able to protect Sunghoonie."
“I… I would do anything he asked,” Sunghoon says, his eyes round like an owl’s as he slowly starts to understand what Heeseung and Jay are telling him. He should fight for Sunoo’s honor, he would fight for Sunoo’s honor, and whatever else he asks of him, to protect him from those strangers to hit on him because of his beauty and make him feel uncomfortable. He wants to be Sunoo’s knight in shining armor.
Fuck, why is he such an idiot?
No wonder Sunoo was mad at him. He has to do everything he can now to get Sunoo’s mood to be better. Before Sunoo gets home, he’ll buy a slice of Sunoo’s favorite cake and a small package of macarons too. There’s a bakery they always go to that makes the best peach cake and it’s something he always gets for Sunoo as a special treat since Sunoo loves sweets so much.
With that in mind, Sunghoon is able to finish the rest of his lunch.
Sunoo sits across from Jungwon and Niki, scribbling furiously into his notebook. He’s trying to concentrate. He has a couple exams coming up and a group project that’s due that’s worth a good chunk of his grade and he’d rather not fail that, thanks. It’s just hard to focus when he’s feeling like such a piece of shit.
“Okay, what’s wrong?”
It’s no surprise that Jungwon is the one who can tell there’s something off about him. Before moving in with Sunghoon, he had been roommates with Jungwon and considers him his best friend.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re not as… energetic today. Right?” Jungwon says as he gives Riki a nudge.
Riki looks up from his textbook, eyes sweeping over Sunoo, before looking back at Jungwon. “Right. Usually, you’d be talking our ears off.”
“Says the extrovert himself,” Sunoo teases.
“And you haven’t written anything down.”
There’s no hiding the fact that instead of notes and highlighting, he’s only managed to make scribbles and doodles in the margins of his notebook. So much for “studying”. He’s just too distracted, his thoughts filled with how bad he feels being such a shitty boyfriend.
“Did something happen between you and Sunghoonie?”
Sunoo sighs, nodding. He might as well come out with it. “I was acting like a brat. Yesterday, some guy was hitting on me at the bar and I gave Hoon a hard time about it because he wasn’t jealous. God, I sounded so spoiled. You should have seen the way he looked at me. He probably hates me right now and–”
“Whoa, I don’t think Sunghoon could ever hate you,” Jungwon says, trying to calm his best friend down. “He’s so disgustingly in love with you.”
Sunoo whines, flopping his head down onto the table with a thunk. “That makes me feel worse,” he mumbles. “I didn’t mean it, I was just–,” Sunoo lifts his head back up to face Jungwon and Riki. “I guess, it’s just nice to feel wanted, you know? Like I wanted him to be jealous that there was someone else that was interested in me because, I don’t know… it’s–,”
“Hmm, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting that,” Riki starts off thoughtfully. “Because it makes you feel like you’re cared about and that Sunghoonie still has those butterflies for you even though you’ve been together for so long.”
Jungwon blinks, his eyebrows shooting up into his hair. “That’s really good. Since when did you become an expert on relationships?”
Riki snorts, turning the page in his textbook to take down more notes. “I just never say anything unless I’m asked.”
“Aww, our baby is growing up!” Jungwon reaches over to playfully fuss with Riki’s hair and poke his cheek.
Riki swats him away but there’s a noticeable flush to his cheeks. “I’m not a baby,” he grumbles half-heartedly. “I think it’s also, Sunghoonie tends to be pretty quiet around strangers, right, so it’s hard for him to say anything in the heat of the moment.”
“He probably just froze up and blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.”
(To protect his boyfriend’s image, Sunoo doesn’t reply to that because he most definitely remembers Sunghoon going off in a string of English)
However, they do have a point. Sunoo will always remember how they met, with Gaeul slipping free from her leash one afternoon and Sunghoon chasing after her, only to find out that she had found her way into Sunoo’s arms safely, even though Sunoo is deathly afraid of dogs, no matter the size or breed. Sunghoon was intimidating, practically towering over him and looking at him with his dark, intense eyes.
Needless to say, Park Sunghoon is anything but that.
An introvert to his very core, Sunghoon doesn’t get close to people easily. It had taken Sunoo a lot of effort and a lot of cuteness to break down that wall Sunghoon held up but Sunghoon’s his rock, the one who has been with him through every heartache he’s had, every smile he’s had.
That’s why he feels so fucking bad for acting the way he did the night before.
He knows how much Sunghoon loves him and he doesn’t need Sunghoon to prove it to him like that. There are other ways, like how Sunghoon always some type of candy with him because he knows how much he loves sweets or the way Sunghoon stays up taking care of him when he's sick, even though Sunghoon also has classes and works nights or how he's always being able to handle his mood swings without complaint.
“It’s hard for Hoon to show you affection around other people, right?”
Sunoo hums, nodding. “He’s gotten better but I think with everything that happened, he still hesitates about it.”
“What happened?” Riki asks.
“When he was skating, it was hard to make friends because everyone he met was his competition so even if he got close with someone, they’d eventually have to compete and well, someone would have to lose. So, Hoon, he still struggles with that and being able to put down his wall to get close to people."
“Then he met you.” Jungwon smiles, putting his chin in his palm.
“It wasn’t easy though.”
Sunghoon just understands him and gives him all the attention he could possibly want.
Sunoo sighs. He really fucked up and he has to fix it.
.
At the end of his classes for the day, he says goodbye to Jungwon and Riki. Jungwon still has one more class and Riki is heading over to the dance studio to get a practice in so Sunoo heads towards the exit of the campus with plans on heading home and just melting into his bed. His thoughts are filled with Sunghoon, so distracted, that he doesn’t even see the tall, light-haired boy waiting for him around the corner, the same tall, light-haired boy who he goes home to every night and gets to call his, the boy who’s smiling at him so warmly, that triggers the guilt in his gut again. He manages a smile when Sunghoon waves him over.
“Hey,” Sunghoon greets. “How was your day?” Sunoo is instantly in Sunghoon’s arms, wrapping his arms around him, and pressing his face into his chest. Sunghoon coos softly, brushing Sunoo’s hair back. “That bad?”
“I’m sorry I was such a brat yesterday,” Sunoo confesses, his voice muffled with how he’s still keeping his face hidden into Sunghoon’s hoodie.
“What, no. Baby, you weren’t, okay? I’m sorry I wasn’t understanding.” Sunghoon lifts Sunoo’s face, pinching his cheek until he gets a soft laugh from Sunoo. Then he leans in, letting their mouths meet together in a sweet, little kiss. “You hungry?” He asks once he pulls back, his thumb stroking one of Sunoo’s round cheeks. “I thought we could go somewhere for dinner.”
“Like a date?” Sunoo asks. “But I don’t look cute right now.” He’s dressed in a loose pair of sweatpants (which he totally did not steal from Sunghoon) and a hoodie, not his definition of a date outfit.
Sunghoon can’t help but press another kiss to Sunoo’s pink pout. “Like a date, but you look cute anyway, I just want to put you in my pocket,” he says, laughing when Sunoo elbows him in his side.
Sunghoon starts to lead them towards the restaurant nearby, Sunoo pressed closely to his side as he chats about how his day went and which assignments he has coming up. It’s nice to just hear Sunoo talk so animatedly. His hair bounces every time he moves and his eyes curl pretty like half moons every time Sunoo looks at him. Sunghoon just kinda wants to smother him in kisses.
He has to remember what his friends said though. He should be more rough with Sunoo, be his knight in shining armor.
The restaurant is busy with the dinner crowd when they arrive, but they’re seated quickly at a table near the corner, Sunoo bouncing happily at the thought of having some good food with his favorite person. Sunghoon just smiles at him and looks over the menu to see what he’s in the mood for. Maybe a stew? It's cold enough outside or maybe even some black bean noodles. It doesn’t take long for them to eventually decide on noodles and stew to share between them so Sunoo calls the server over with a wave to put in their order.
The server smiles as she heads over. “What can I get for you guys?”
While Sunoo tells the server what they want, Sunghoon notices how the girl’s eyes are practically glued to Sunoo and it’s not hard to see how her smile never disappears from her face while he’s talking to her.
Sunghoon’s stomach feels unsettled and he hasn’t even eaten yet.
“How much would it be if we got extra rice with it?” Sunoo asks.
“Oh, you don’t have to worry about that! I can give it to you free of charge.”
“Really?” Sunoo turns to Sunghoon, his eyes going into his hair. “Do you want extra rice?” He asks.
Sunghoon hums, resting his chin on his palm. “Whatever you want, sweetheart. I'm taking you out, remember? It's been a while since we've gone on a date."
There’s a strange feeling that fills Sunghoon when the smile abruptly drops from the girl’s face. Sunoo doesn’t notice it because he’s gone back to looking over the menu for anything else they might want to order but Sunghoon notices. Oh, he definitely does. Her eyes dart over to Sunoo and then over to him and then back to Sunoo. The realization is slow but it’s definitely there.
It’s… satisfying.
He doesn’t know how to explain it, he just feels good knowing that she knows Sunoo is unavailable, that Sunoo is his, and that her flirting will get nowhere with him. It feels even better when he remembers that Sunoo's interest in the female population is at an absolute negative zero. There was one time when they were watching a movie and a nude scene came on. Sunoo grabbed a pillow and covered his eyes like it was a horror movie when the actress took her top off and her boobs jiggled everywhere.
“I think that’s all we’ll have then, thanks!” Sunoo says, smiling.
The girl sighs, suddenly looking irritated. Sunghoon just smiles at her and she leaves without another word.
So, maybe Heeseung and Jay are right. Nobody can flirt with Sunoo but him.
And once they finish dinner and are in the warmth of their apartment with Sunoo’s bouquet of hibiscus flowers and cake slices, the smile and adorable squeal Sunoo lets out before he jumps into his arms for a hug just shows Sunghoon that, yeah, no one else will have the chance to do this. He’s going to make sure of that.
The next time they go out, Sunoo has the chance to dress cutely and wear the skirt Sunghoon had gotten for him for his birthday. It’s a bit more chilly so he decides to wear it with some thigh-high socks and one of Sunghoon’s oversized sweaters. Sunghoon had even suggested he put some barrettes in his hair to complete the look so Sunoo clips a couple flower shaped ones in his fringe, pouting his lips to take a selfie.
“Why are you pouting?” Sunghoon asks, chuckling.
They’re sitting in a new dessert cafe that Sunghoon has been wanting to take him to and from what he’s seen on social media, it completely fits his favorite aesthetic with its pastel walls, hanging flowers, and of course, his favorite cakes and pastries.
“I don’t like how my hair looks,” Sunoo fusses.
Sunghoon reaches over and brushes Sunoo’s bangs from his eyes. “You probably need a haircut, your hair is getting long.” Sunoo nuzzles into the touch, reminding Sunghoon so much like a pleased kitten. Sunoo would probably be purring if they were to continue.
“Maybe I’ll go back to pink sometime.”
Ever since Sunoo had his little tantrum, he likes to call it, he’s been trying to show Sunghoon that he appreciates what he does for him, not that he didn’t before, but he feels like he should be less demanding of Sunghoon. The guilt from the night of Heeseung’s birthday still makes his stomach hurt with anxiety when he thinks about it. He doesn’t want to make Sunghoon feel bad like that again.
“My little peach,” Sunghoon teases, reaching over to squeeze Sunoo’s small hand affectionately.
Sunoo makes a face at him but laces their fingers together with a soft smile.
Just a few minutes later, the pager beeps and Sunoo heads up to wait in the short queue, giving Sunghoon a quick peck on the cheek. The cafe isn’t too busy at this time. There’s only two other people waiting, a young girl and a guy, who Sunoo notices keeps looking over at him. He tries to avoid making eye contact, because apparently, that’s a sign for someone to make conversation and he doesn't want that right now.
But the guy keeps staring at him and then smiles.
“I like your outfit,” the guy says. “You pull it off well.”
“Thanks,” Sunoo mumbles, though a giggle manages to make its way through.
The guy smiles. His gaze drops down to Sunoo’s legs before he’s back to looking at Sunoo’s face and the barrettes in his hair. “Actually, I don’t want to sound too forward but I’m quite new to this area. Are there any places you like to eat at?”
“Well, actually, there’s a spot just a couple blocks over that has the best kimchi jjigae!” Sunoo takes out his phone, pulling up the directions of the restaurant. It’s a place he and Sunghoon always go to because it’s one of their favorites. The woman there is always so kind to them and even gives them extra servings sometimes.
“Kimchi jjigae, my favorite,” the guy comments with a crooked smile.
Too busy with scrolling through his phone for another restaurant, Sunoo doesn’t notice how the guy’s eyes trail down his legs, hungry and eager. “If you like–”
“Sunoo. What are you doing?”
There’s a couple things that Sunoo learns that day.
One, he’s never heard Sunghoon say his name before. It’s very rare. Unless it’s something serious, they stick to nicknames or some sweet endearment that makes their friends gag. Baby, sweetheart, those are the usual. Sunghoon will call him pretty or gorgeous often too.
So Sunghoon must be dead serious right now.
And two, he’s never heard Sunghoon say his name in that tone. Sunghoon’s deep voice reaches all the way into the pit of his stomach. Goosebumps prickle along his arms. Sunoo blinks, breaking out of his sudden daydream of a dominating Sunghoon in the bedroom, with Sunghoon’s dark eyes staring at him. “Hoon?”
“I said, what are you doing?”
“I was just… waiting for our order.”
Sunghoon is suddenly in front of him, blocking his view with his tall body. Almost a head taller than him, Sunoo has to peer over Sunghoon’s shoulder at the stranger, who is now also watching him, a frown on his face.
Sunghoon dares to press a kiss to the top of Sunoo’s head. “Head back to the table. I can get it.”
Sunoo leans into the touch. It’s rare for them to do anything like that in public. While Sunghoon is the one who initiates, it’s still a bit unnerving to fully be affectionate, especially in such a crowded space where more than glances are thrown their way. “But—,”
“Sunoo, go.”
Sunoo’s stomach clenches and he rubs his thighs together. Now is not the time for certain thoughts that are already fighting to get to the front of his head. Sunghoon has never spoken to him like that before either. He sounds pissed and annoyed at the same time and it’s totally affecting him, making him feel like he’s flushed and hot all over. He rolls his lip under his teeth. “Y-yes, okay,” he says eventually. There’s no room for arguing.
Sunghoon watches as Sunoo scurries back to their table, holding the back of his skirt so that it doesn’t fly up and his ass doesn’t flash the entire cafe. Once Sunoo is sitting down, Sunghoon turns back to the stranger. He feels like he’s just finished running a marathon with how hard his heart is beating and how not his face is. Something just came over him, to the point where it felt like he was about to punch the guy in his face if he hadn’t remembered that they were in public. Sunoo is just too friendly and sweet to tell the guy to fuck off.
He grabs their tray of treats and walks back to where Sunoo is waiting for him. So this is jealousy.
Sunghoon gets another opportunity just a few weeks later. It's Jaeyun's birthday now and of course, Heeseung is throwing him a party at the nightclub. Jay has given Jaeyun a paper crown as a gag gift so Jaeyun is currently draping himself over Heeseung, alcohol flowing pleasantly through his veins, the crown sitting crooked on the top of his head.
It’s packed, as usual, but they’re here for Jaeyun so the crowd is easily forgotten.
Off on the main floor, Sunghoon has his arm around Sunoo’s waist, his nose pressed by Sunoo’s neck to take in the intoxicating scent of his cologne. Sunghoon kinda wants to just press him into the bar and kiss along the exposed skin of Sunoo’s tummy.
“You’re like a dog right now,” Sunoo jokes. He wouldn't be surprised if Sunghoon starting humping his leg any second now. Sunoo leans his head back, letting Sunghoon nose along the column of his neck. It’s ticklish but his moan is muted by the music that’s playing in the club. Sunoo reaches up, wrapping his arms around Sunghoon for a kiss.
“Mm, I have–need to take a piss,” Sunghoon says once they break apart, playfully nipping at Sunoo’s lip.
Sunoo chases after Sunghoon, leaning up to lick across his mouth. “Hurry back, you owe me a dance, Hoonie.”
Sunghoon chuckles, reaching up to brush Sunoo’s fringe from his eyes. “I promise.”
Sunoo watches Sunghoon weave his way through the crowd towards the darker corridor of the nightclub where the restrooms are separated from the main floor by maroon-colored velvet curtains. Back at their table, Riki hops on the seat and starts popping and locking. Jungwon joins him a second later. Sunoo catches the alarmed look on Jay’s face, probably trying and failing to get Jungwon off the leather sofas, and thinks it might be time for him to rescue their second oldest. Heeseung and Jaeyun are nowhere to be found.
It’s probably better that way. Their Heeseung is quite the flirt when he drinks and Sunoo’s seen Jaeyun’s flushed face numerous times as a result. As Sunoo starts to make his way over, a hand wraps around his wrist.
“Babe, I think–”
The smile on Sunoo’s face drops when it’s Danny, not Sunghoon, that has a hold of him.
“Sunoo! Fancy meeting you here again.”
Unfortunately, this is one of the only gay and lesbian nightclubs around, of course Sunoo would run into this Danny guy again. He sighs, loosening Danny’s grip on his wrist by pulling his arm back. “I’m waiting for my boyfriend.”
“How come you’re always alone when I see you then? Doesn’t seem like he cares for you very much.”
It’s obvious what Danny is trying to do. He’s not going to fall for it.
“He’s just in the restroom,” Sunoo tells him.
“Whatever, enough about him. Just one dance, okay? And I’ll leave you alone but I doubt you’ll want just one dance with me.”
Sunoo really wishes he could throw a drink in this guy’s face or something. If not a drink, maybe he can throw a punch or two. Not serious enough to injure him, just enough so he can be left alone and can go back to his friends and Sunghoon. Danny steps towards him, brushing his fingers against his hip and dangerously close to the zipper of his pants.
“Come on, Sunoo. Have some fun, yeah? I won’t tell if you don’t.”
“Look, I already said that–,”
“He has a boyfriend.”
It’s that same tone of voice that has Sunoo shuddering again and it all happens so fast, Sunoo only catches glimpses; Sunghoon’s arm reaching around him, Sunghoon grabbing at Danny’s wrist, Sunoo freeing his arm and Sunghoon holding onto him by his side, using his height to block him. Out of the corner of his eye, Sunoo sees their friends looking their way, no doubt at the commotion that’s starting between the three of them. Jay looks worried and Heeseung and Jaeyun are back at the table, both of their expressions shocked like they’ve seen a ghost.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Sunghoon continues, not giving Danny a chance to explain himself. Not that he deserves one anyway after touching Sunoo like that without his consent.
Danny steps back, holding his hands out in front of him. “Hey, man, relax. I just wanted a dance and besides, he didn’t exactly say no.” His eyes glance over to Sunoo and he has the guts to smirk.
Sunghoon scoffs, his eyebrows pulled tight together in the middle of his forehead. “That doesn’t mean yes, either, asshole. He’s just too sweet to say so. So. I’ll say it for him. No, he doesn’t want to dance with you and no, he doesn’t want to go out with you either. Understand?”
Sunoo’s jaw hits the floor.
Sunghoon looks like he’s ready to tear Danny’s face off. His tall stance and broad shoulders look more like a cement wall. His eyes are so dark, they’re deep, obsidian pools and there’s a hard clench to his jaw. Sunoo presses his hand on Sunghoon’s lower back. “Hey, Hoon, it’s okay,” he tries in comfort. “I’m fine.”
Sunghoon doesn’t even hear him.
Danny runs his fingers through his hair, sighing. Even from where he’s standing, Sunoo can smell the alcohol on his breath. That explains it all. “Alright, fine,” Danny says. “I’ll leave him alone.” He squares his shoulders up, fixing the collar of his shirt. “You’re a lucky guy.”
It isn’t until Danny is out of their sight, pushing his way through the crowd, that Sunghoon relaxes.
Sunoo can feel how Sunghoon’s body just melts under his touch, and Sunoo lets out a breath, so fucking relieved. Not a second later, their group of friends is back and over, tackling Sunghoon, wrapping their arms around him and excitedly messing with his hair.
“Yo! Park Sunghoon, what was that?! I’ve never seen you like that before!” Heeseung reaches over and pats Sunghoon hard on the back. “That’s our boy!”
“We were afraid we’d have to jump in or something,” Jay says. He cracks his knuckles for good measure, craning his neck over the crowd to try to catch one last glimpse of Danny to make sure he’s actually gone.
Jaeyun nods, running a hand through his hair. “Especially when that fucker touched Sun.”
Sunghoon lets out a breath, smoothing down his hair. “I-I don’t know, it’s like I saw red.”
“I thought you were gonna punch that dude out, baka,” Riki adds. A bit of his Japanese always slips in whenever he’s excited.
“Are you okay?” Jungwon asks Sunoo.
“I’m fine,” Sunoo says, politely letting Jungwon and Riki fuss over him. “Sunghoonie came to my rescue.”
Sunghoon turns to face Sunoo, his features soft and pretty again. He smiles a small smile, reaching over to cup the side of Sunoo’s face. “That was good, right? I didn’t want to hurt him or anything but I didn’t like that he did that to you.”
Sunoo gnaws on his bottom lip. “I—,”
He pulls Sunghoon into him, leading him into a deep kiss that’s all teeth and bites and nibbles. Through the rush in his ears, he can tell their friends have moved back to their table, their excited chatter about Sunghoon still loud and proud, but Sunoo’s grateful for being alone because he’s rubbing his thighs together again and feeling the heat crawl into the pit of his stomach.
Sunghoon bends forward to wrap his arms around Sunoo’s waist, breaking apart with lips pink and swollen. Sunoo doesn’t give him a chance to talk. “I think, I think we need to go home,” Sunoo says, his breathing coming out in deep pants.
Sunghoon’s worried, his eyebrows pulling together. "What's wrong?”
“Home, Sunghoonie. Take me home.”
A look at Sunoo’s flushed cheeks and glazed over eyes tells Sunghoon everything he needs to know. He fires a quick text message to Jaeyun, wishing him a happy birthday, and that he’s taking Sunoo home. Once that’s done, Sunghoon takes Sunoo’s hand, taking him through the crowd and back to the entrance doors. The air outside cools the heat on his skin and he grabs Sunoo’s hand tighter, Sunoo letting himself get dragged down the streets towards their apartment.
.
There’s no beating around the bush.
The bedroom door slams open and Sunoo is quickly thrown onto their bed, barely having a chance to catch his breath before Sunghoon is taking him by the ankles and dragging him to the foot of the bed. He yelps when his leather pants are practically ripped off his legs and thrown off to the side somewhere. Sunoo leans up and drags Sunghoon’s shirt off for him, spreading his legs so that Sunghoon settles in between. He falls back onto the bed, taking Sunghoon with him.
“You were so hot back there, Hoonie,” Sunoo tells him in between Sunghoon’s bites and sucks to his neck.
Sunghoon flushes a pretty pink, chuckling as he works his way down to Sunoo’s belly. “You loved it, huh?” He pushes Sunoo’s shirt up to his nipples, circling them with his thumbs while he kisses along Sunoo’s midsection. “Bet you loved all the attention from that asshole too.”
Sunoo shakes his, eyes fogging over and soft black hair fanning on the pillow. “Only you.”
Sunghoon hums, pausing to lean back up to look into Sunoo’s eyes. “So you’re just a cockslut for me.”
“I-” Sunoo breaks off in a moan when Sunghoon sucks a hickey onto his thigh. His cock is already leaking at this point, has been since seeing this new and welcome side to his usually sweet and caring boyfriend. It’s ridiculous how easily he gets wound up with Sunghoon. “Sungie, you stood up for me.”
Sunghoon feels his chest swell hot. He pauses, taking a moment to catch his breath. Sunoo looks so beautiful like this with his soft hair and pink pout, chest heaving as marks blossom on his skin. Leaning down, he brings Sunoo into a soft kiss, one that has Sunoo mewling cutely and his toes curling.
“I’ll always stand up for you, sweetheart,” he says, his thumb stroking one of Sunoo’s round cheeks. “Because only I can flirt with you and touch you like this.”
Sunoo smiles a teary smile and pulls Sunghoon down for a kiss. God, he’s leaking so much, he can feel it drip onto his thigh. “Sunghoonie, please.”
“Please what? Tell me what you want, Sunoo.”
There it is, his name again. He never realized just how much he likes it when Sunghoon calls him by his name, all gravelly and deep. “Just touch me,” Sunoo pleads, not caring if he sounds whiny. He’s too horny out of his mind.
“Hmm, do you mean here? Or right here? Maybe even right there?” Sunghoon’s fingers brush along his sides. Groaning, Sunoo pushes Sunghoon so that his mouth is back on him, back to his cock that’s straining underneath his briefs.
“Oh, this is what you want?” Sunghoon mouths at Sunoo’s cock.
The cotton fabric grows damp and Sunoo moans at the pressure and heat on the head of his dick. Sunghoon’s so close yet so far away. “God, Hoonie, please, please.”
Once his briefs are tugged down his legs, Sunghoon takes him down in one go, his big hands cupping his buttcheeks and squeezing them at the same time.
It’s amazing, Sunoo wants to cry. Sunghoon wraps his lips around him perfectly, tongue rolling over the sensitive spot just underneath the head. He shudders, biting down on his hand as he moans because he needs something in his mouth or else their neighors are going to be knocking on their door all night with complaints for peace and quiet.
“Don’t do that. Let me hear you, Sunoo.”
Sunghoon pulls off with puffy, pink lips and Sunoo can’t help but pull him in for a kiss. Tasting himself is something he knows Sunghoon loves. When Sunghoon slips him back into his mouth, deep throating him, Sunoo threads his fingers through Sunghoon’s hair, urging him on. He already feels like he’s on cloud 9, his mind high and hazy the more Sunghoon works his mouth on him. He dangles his legs over Sunghoon’s shoulders, stretching out on their bed as his limbs feel lighter and lighter like he's floating.
Sunghoon sucks at the precome leaking onto his tongue. Sunoo’s always been so sensitive, always has the best reactions whenever they’re like this and even now, years after being with him, Sunghoon still can’t get enough of it. He gives Sunoo’s butt another squeeze, Sunoo moaning his name through his pants.
But tonight, he isn’t going to be soft on Sunoo.
If the last few weeks have shown him anything, he needs to be more dominant, needs to take more control. As much as he would love to just spoil Sunoo right now, he needs to remember what started all this in the first place.
So he pulls off, wiping the corner of his mouth with his hand.
Sunoo looks up at Sunghoon, eyes big and dazed. “Hoon?” He questions and Sunoo’s voice is so small and unsure, he almost gathers him into his arms to kiss his teary eyes away and to abandon his whole plan.
Almost.
“Did you think I was going to let you come like that?” Sunoo’s so blissed out already, he only manages to blink up at him a few times. “I barely touched you and you’re dumb with pleasure.” Sunghoon chuckles darkly, running a hand through his hair. “I’m sorry, sweetheart, you’re not going to come yet, not until l do. Got it?”
He doesn’t give Sunoo a chance to answer anyway. Knocking Sunoo's knees apart, he reaches over to grab the bottle of lube from the bedside table to coat himself generously. Sunoo takes that moment to touch himself, wrapping his hand around his cock and stroking with long, slow pumps.
“Nuh-uh, none of that.”
Sunoo whines, pulling his hand back to grab at the sheets. “Sunghoonie…,”
“What is it?” Sunghoon sighs, playing up his annoyance.
“I’m sorry, just fuck me, please. Please.”
“Hm, I’m thinking about it, only if you’re a good boy for me.” Sunghoon runs his fingers along Sunoo’s inner thighs, loving the way he feels him shiver. Sunoo leaks precome onto the mattress. “Tsk, such a messy boy too, aren’t you?” Stretching his body forward, he licks a stripe, hot and wet, along Sunoo’s belly. Sunghoon circles the head of his cock around Sunoo’s hole but he doesn’t let himself press in any further, not yet. Sunoo whimpers and Sunghoon sees his small fingers gripping onto the pillow, his pretty eyelashes wet and clumped together with tears. He just wants to ruin Sunoo, to have him finally shed those tears, to scream out his name, to reach out for him.
“You better keep your legs open for me, Sunoo. I won’t say it again.”
Sunoo nods enthusiastically. He will do whatever Sunghoon asks of him right now. He’s desperate for it because he wants, needs, absolutely everything Sunghoon is going to give him. So he stretches back out on the bed and lifts his hips.
Pushing Sunoo’s legs back towards his chest, Sunghoon doesn’t waste anymore time and sinks into him, bottoming out until they’re pressed hip to hip. He moans, heartbeat pounding in his chest. Fuck, it feels so good, Sunghoon know he’s not going to last. Sunoo tightens around his cock, impatient, testing him, and he wants nothing more than to just fuck Sunoo until all Sunoo knows is his name and that Sunoo is his.
So he does.
It doesn’t take long at all to have Sunoo moaning and writhing under him.
Sunoo digs his fingers into Sunghoon’s back as Sunghoon fucks into him with long, precise rolls of his hips, his cock pressing exactly into the spot that has him crying and leaking all over his thighs and onto the sheets.
“You love this, don’t you? Being treated like the cockslut you are.” He teases through his harsh sound of thighs slapping together. Seeing his cock stretching out Sunoo’s small body each time was pushing him closer and faster to the edge than he wanted. His own hips are aching with how hard he’s fucking into Sunoo, balls slapping against Sunoo’s ass, and Sunoo’s breathy moans are going straight to his cock. He’s leaking so much precome inside of Sunoo, he doesn’t even think he needs to add anymore lube.
“Sunghoonie,” Sunoo cries out. Every fuck into him has his head brushing against the headboard. Sunghoon grips his hips, fucks him like he’s moving on autopilot with no thoughts in his head other than coming.
“You need to come, baby?” Sunghoon coos at him.
Sunoo’s cheeks explode with heat. He’s so aroused, cock leaking, his legs shaking and all he can do is hold onto Sunghoon and let Sunghoon fuck him until he comes, because he knows Sunghoon isn’t going to allow him to do anything else.
“I need it, ngh, I need it so bad,” Sunoo cries. “C-can I?"
“I don’t know,” Sunghoon starts. He fucks forward into Sunoo, knowing exactly how to shift his hips so that it has Sunoo making all those pretty sounds for him again. Sighing, Sunghoon wraps his fingers around Sunoo’s cock. “I guess it’s okay, you’ve been a good boy, taking me so well and making me feel good. You can come, sweetheart.”
Sunoo doesn’t stand a chance.
It takes just a couple strokes from Sunghoo and then he’s engulfed by absolute blinding pleasure, coming in thick bursts, hot and slick all over his belly, fingers digging into Sunghoon’s broad back.
Sunghoon groans. It’s the most beautiful thing when Sunoo comes. Sunoo’s entire body tenses up. His eyes grow shiny and wet with tears, and the tightening around his cock is that’s what pushes Sunghoon into his own orgasm, fucking one last thrust into Sunoo. Then heat, heat and wetness, and mess. He comes so hard, he slips out of Sunoo, smearing cum onto Sunoo's thigh and buttcheek. Colors dance behind his eyes, his vision cutting out for what feels like hours before he’s back. Sunghoon manages to lean forward, aiming a kiss on Sunoo’s lips, when it actually lands on his chin. Sunoo giggles, moving his head so that they can actually kiss. Sunghoon brushes his hair back. “Are you okay?” He asks, wiping at the tear tracks on Sunoo’s cheeks.
Sunoo’s panting softly as he comes down. It's like Sunghoon has gone and fucked every bit and sense and thought of him. He runs his hands up and down Sunghoon’s back. “Please tell me you’ll be like that again.”
Sunghoon feels his cheeks burn. “If you want me to,” he mumbles, not really able to hold Sunoo’s steady gaze for long. “I wasn’t too rough, was I?”
Smiling, Sunoo takes Sunghoon’s pretty face between his hands. “I loved it, Park Sunghoon.”
Sunghoon bites his lip, before he’s smiling again and pressing a soft kiss to Sunoo’s awaiting mouth. “Okay. Let’s get cleaned up, huh? I don't want you sleeping when you're sticky."
Sunoo nods, stretching out his legs, as Sunghoon pulls him up to sit by his hands. He reaches out for him, pouting his lips, until Sunghoon laughs and indulges him with another kiss. Honestly, he doesn’t even mind much falling asleep like this but it’s just one more reason to let Sunghoon dote on him a bit more and he’s not going to say no to that. Sunghoon piggybacks him to their bathroom to get washed up with a nice, steamy bath, even adding in a fizzy bath bomb for the both of them to enjoy.
And if Sunghoon is already thinking about the next time, well, he doesn’t say it out loud.
