Work Text:
Seokjin had been Yoongi's caregiver for a little over two years when Yoongi decided he was ready to tell the rest of the members he was a little.
They couldn't have been more supportive, after all, they loved Yoongi with their whole heart and after hearing from Seokjin how cute the boy was when little, it was clear they wanted to become Yoongi's caregivers.
It took some time, but the little was finally warming up to the members and didn't feel so shy around them anymore.
Except with Namjoon.
Whenever Namjoon would try to interact with Yoongi when he was in little space, the boy would run away, hide under a blanket and even hide under the bed and wouldn't come out until Seokjin or another one of his caregivers assured him Namjoon wasn't in the room anymore.
It broke Namjoon's heart to see one of the people he loved the most be so uncomfortable around him, and it also hurt the other member's to watch it happen without knowing how to help.
Seokjin eventually decided that, as Yoongi's main caregiver, he couldn't just sit back and watch both Yoongi and Namjoon being so uneasy around each other. He waited for a day Yoongi woke up big and they weren't busy to try to talk to him.
He knocked on Yoongi's bedroom door and, after receiving the okay, came into the room.
"Hey, Yoongi, I wanted to talk to you about something," he said, sounding slightly nervous.
Yoongi noticed it and turned off his phone.
"Okay, what's going on?"
"It's about your little space," said Seokjin.
Yoongi hated talking about his regression when he was big and tried not to as much and he could. He knew Seokijn knew that, so he figured it was really important.
"Hyung, you're freaking me out," he whispered.
"It's about Namjoon. I've noticed- well, we've all noticed that you..." he stopped for a second to try to find the right words, always with a calm expression to hopefully make Yoongi not so nervous. "You tend to be very shy around him. Like, /really/ shy. The other night, when I was giving you your night bottle and he came into the room, you spat the nipple of the bottle out and hid in my neck until you were sure he had left. There have also been multiple times where you were playing nicely on the living room mat, and when Namjoon would come in, even if he didn't say anything to you, you would run away and go play in your room."
Yoongi listened to Seokjin talk looking deep in thought. Seokjin knew that Yoongi didn't remember a lot about what happened when he was little so he must have been trying to remember it all.
"I'm not judging you, I'm sure you have a reason you feel so edgy around him, and I'm here to help you figure it out so we can help you loosen up when you're with him, okay?" Seokjin concluded.
"I- I think I know what's going on," Yoongi said after a few minutes of thinking. He took a deep breath and started talking, a bit nervous but knowing his hyung wouldn't judge him. "When we told everyone I was a little, I honestly didn't really care about what the youngers would think, and I knew Hobi would be supportive. What I was- /am/ most worried about is what Namjoon thinks. He sees me like the guy he should go to when he wants an opinion on how hard his rap goes, not the guy he should babysit and give bottles and give baths. Plus, he's the leader. It makes me so nervous to think about what he thinks when he sees one of the members of his band acting like a baby. In my head, I imagine him thinking about all the ways my headspace could ruin the things we've worked so hard to achieve."
Seokjin waited a bit to make sure Yoongi was done talking.
"I get what you're saying and I understand why you feel that way. But Yoongs, Namjooon loves you so much. Both big you and little you. Whenever you reject him when you're in little space, his face drops, and i swear to God, I once saw him tear up when you sat in everyone's lap but refused to sit on his. He wants to be your caregiver Yoongi. So bad. It's not fair to him to not let him have that when you both want it so much just because of your intrusive thoughts." Seokjin stated seriously, but gave him a teeny smile to let him know everything would be ok. "Will you talk to him about it, or do you want me to?"
"You, please," Yoongi whispered looking down.
"Okay. But you know you're gonna have to talk to him eventually, right?"
"Yeah. I know." Yoongi mumbled.
-
Seokjin and Namjoon had a long discussion about what Yoongi had confessed to Seokjin, most of it consisting in Namjoon saying he would never think those things about Yoongi, and how much he supported his little space. Seokjin told him that he knew all of that, and he should be saying those things to Yoongi himself.
So, here Namjoon was, in his room after having said everything he needed to to Yoongi. Yoongi had told him he was sorry for neglecting him when he was little, and that he would try his best to remember Namjoon /wanted/ to take care of him. It was a very meaningful conversation, and hopefully it would make things better between them. There was only one way to know for sure.
He was laying in his bed when he had the idea. All the members had a full schedule tomorrow, except Seokjin and Yoongi, so Yoongi was bound to wake up in his headspace. He knew it was a lot to ask, since none of the members had been alone with Yoongi for a full day, but he really wanted to indulge in his caregiver job, and he could never do it fully when Seokjin was around.
Which is why he texted Seokjin and asked him to replace him at work tomorrow and let him stay at home and babysit Yoongi. Seokjin agreed, but not after typing for almost forty minutes a list of how to take care of the little. Namjoon smiled and read and reread the list and even navigated throughout little space websites to make sure he was prepared to be the best caregiver possible for the little boy.
-
Yoongi sat up in his bed and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He faintly remembered his daddy slipping a paci between his lips, putting him in a nappy, kissing his forehead and telling him he would be gone for the day, but he would not be alone because one of his other caregivers would stay with him and take care of him. The baby would have protested had he not been so sleepy, and after his daddy left he couldn't help but fall back asleep.
Now that he had woken up again, he started feeling sad after remembering his daddy wasn't here. He also had a diaper that needed to be changed, and he was feeling really hungry. The little boy started crying in hopes someone would fix everything that felt so uncomfortable.
Namjoon quickly walked into the room and got close to Yoongi, though not close enough to make him feel anxious.
"Hey little sweetheart! Good morning," he asked in the sweetest, gentlest voice he could muster. He sat on Yoongi's bed by his feet. "How'd you sleep?"
Yoongi was now whimpering but he had stopped crying, because he felt a bit better now knowing he wasn't alone. Plus, Namjoon was being nice to him, so he began to feel comfortable.
That was, until Namjoon picked him up for a diaper change.
When the little was put down on the changing mat and realized what was about to happen, the dam broke again and he began wailing extremely loudly.
Namjoon wasn't expecting such a meltdown, at least not so early in the morning when the boy was still so sleepy. He tried to calm Yoongi down in all the ways he could think of (which weren't many, he was panicking and couldn't think very well), but the poor baby was still kicking around, holding his oversized t-shirt as far as it would go to prevent Namjoon from undressing him. He was just so embarrassed! He hated being changed by anyone that wasn't his daddy, and his daddy had once told him he would always be there to change him, so why wasn't he here?
Namjoon noticed Yoongi wasn't going to stop crying anytime soon and, after beating himself up for having to resort to this so early on the day, texted Seokjin.
*Namjoon* : Jin Hyung
*Namjoon* : He won't let me change him
*Namjoon* : He's crying so much
*Namjoon* : What should I do?????
*Namjoon* : ??????
*Seokjin* : Does he have his binky?
*Namjoon* : Yes
*Seokjin* : He's upset because I'm alaways there when he has a change, even in the few times I'm not the one changing him
*Seokjin* : You have to distract him
*Seokjin* : Give him his plushie
*Seokjin* : The elephant one
*Seokjin* : It's probably under his bed
After reading the last texts, Namjoon immediately dropped his phone and grabbed the pink elephant plushie that had it's ears looking like they had been chewed on in the past. He figured it was Yoongi's confort item and prayed it would help the boy calm down.
"Hey lovebug! Look who's here!" Namjoon said, showing the baby the stuffy.
Yoongi abruptly stopped crying when he saw his favorite stuffy being waved in front of his face.
"Ellie!" he exclaimed with teary eyes and blotchy cheeks, but breakdown long forgotten.
"Yeah, Yoonie, that's Ellie right?"
The baby kicked his feet (excitedly this time) and giggled, and it sounded like the prettiest sound Namjoon had ever heard.
Even though Yoongi was so very happy to be with his favorite stuffy, he didn't miss how Namjoon started lifting his shirt up and was about to undo the tapes of his diaper. He whined loudly, suddenly back to feeling self conscious and embarrassed by having Namjoon out of all people change him. What if he got grossed out? What if he started hating Yoongi? What if he left Yoongi there, all alone?
Namjoon realized Yoongi was about to start crying all over again and quickly started to soothe the boy.
"Oh honey, there's no need to cry. Joonie is here to take care of you, it's my job as your caregiver, and I love my job!"
"Daddy? Can dada change?" Yoongi asked in a hopeful but oh so tiny voice.
"Daddy is coming back later today, but for now, Joonie is going to take care of you, okay?" Namjoon remembered. He knew there was a pretty big change Yoongi wasn't really understanding what he was saying fully, since his headspace was so young, but it was still worth a shot.
Yoongi thought for a bit and decided he was going to try to be a good boy for daddy, but also for Joonie. Joonie was being so nice with him, and even though he felt self conscious, he couldn't help but feel safe. He nodded.
"Okay, I'll take your diaper off now, alright?" Namjoon asked.
The baby nodded again, this time holding his plushie in front of his face. Maybe if he couldn't see Joonie, Joonie couldn't see him either.
The change went smoothly after that, and soon Yoongi took his stuffy out of his face and gave Namjoon a tiny smile.
"Aish, you're so cute!" Namjoon exclaimed, making funny faces at the baby who started giggling.
He soon realized that he had gotten so caught up in calming the boy down, he forgot he had asked Seokjin for help. He grabbed his phone again and, sure enough, there were 23 unread messages from Seokjin, freaking out and asking if Yoongi was okay, if he was still sad, and even wondering if he needed to go back to the house. Namjoon decided to answer to all the texts with a video of the happy and giggly baby.
He tickled Yoongi a whole bunch, and sent a video of it to Seokjin.
*Seokjin* : Could have texted me back a little faster, couldn't you? I was on my way to the car already
*Seokjin* : So cute.
*Seokjin* : Glad you're having fun
*Seokjin* : But Joon?
Seokjin wasn't sure if he was right but he knew the tendencies of his little and decided to warn Namjoon.
*Seokjin* : He probably peed again
Namjoon checked the freshly put diaper and, accurately said, the baby had peed a little bit from laughing too hard at Namjoon's tickling.
"Hey baby? Do you have to go some more?" Namjoon asked, hoping Yoongi would understand.
He didn't. Yoongi tilted his head and started sucking on his paci nervously at being asked something and not understanding it. In that moment, he missed his daddy so much, because even though his daddy asked him questions when he was little, he never expected an answer and always seemed to know how Yoongi was feeling and what he needed.
"Here, why don't you go like this," Namjoon suggested. He taped the boy's diaper once again and grunted, making a face hoping Yoongi would understand he was asking him to push a little bit.
The little did, and when he pushed, he started peeing a lot. Namjoon waited patiently for him to finish, and when Yoongi confirmed he was done, he changed him once again, this time with a lot less trouble then the first time.
"Alright, who's hungry?" Namjoon asked.
-
Yoongi was feeling very anxious.
Namjoon had sat him down in a chair at the kitchen table and turned his back to him to make him breakfast. But Namjoon forgot to give the little something to play with, so, with nothing to distract himself with, Yoongi's mind started thinking some not so fun thoughts.
He had just thrown a huge tantrum and made Joonie change him twice. What if he had felt grossed out? What if he didn't want to babysit Yoongi anymore? What if he left? What if he didn't come back ever again and it was all Yoongi's fault and all the members would be upset at him and they would yell at him and they would-
"Shh bubba, it's alright! Everything is okay.. shh," Namjoon picked the baby up after hearing whimpers coming from behind his purple pacifier and was now rocking him side to side very slowly to calm him down. It seemed to work. He made a mental note to thank Seokjin for the huge list he wrote about how to deal with specific situations.
"Do you want to tell Joonie why you're upset? Hm?" Namjoon asked already knowing the chances of that happening were pretty low. Although he could probably guess what was going on. Yoongi had always been so so shy around him, and even though the talk they had when Yoongi was big seemed to work wonders (after all, they had been alone together for at least an hour and Yoongi hadn't tried to run away), it was obvious the little wouldn't lose his shyness overnight.
As expected, Yoongi shook his head no. "That's fine, sweetheart," Namjoon reassured him. The truth was, the day wasn't being hard only on Yoongi. Namjoon kept mentally slapping himself for making Yoongi upset. Some logical part of his brain knew that it wasn't his fault, that he was still new to this and that he was trying his very best. But the rest of his brain was making him feel like an idiot for forgetting things that are so obvious, like the fact that he shouldn't leave Yoongi with nothing to play with otherwise he'll grow upset. He wondered if the other members also felt this way. Like they wanted to give Yoongi the world and whenever they messed even the slightest thing up, it made them feel like a failure. He pulled himself together though, and remembered Seokjin had said Yoongi's ring stack did wonders to distract him and he could play with the toy for hours. "Joonie is almost done with breakfast, how about you wait playing with your ring stack? Would you like that?"
The baby nodded. He liked his ring stack a lot. It had rings of all his favorite colors, and it reminded him of his daddy because he would always praise Yoongi a whole lot when he stacked the rings in the correct order (and also when he stacked it completely wrong... he was whipped for his baby).
Namjoon carried Yoongi to the living room and settled him on the soft mat, tummy down. He brought the ring stack over to the boy and watched his face light up at the sight of his toy. After he made sure Yoongi would be okay, he went back to the kitchen to finish breakfast.
-
When Namjoon walked into the living room to get Yoongi, he found the boy on the verge of tears yet again. This time, he didn't need to ask what was wrong, as the whines Yoongi was letting out were enough answer.
"Daddy..." he sniffled repeatedly.
Namjoon sat down beside him and patted his back. "Do you miss your daddy, baby?" he asked feelingly. Yoongi nodded looking down.
"Was playin' 'nd called daddy 'nd daddy no come! Wan' daddy," he confessed sadly.
"Oh Yoongs, your daddy is at work right now, that's why he didn't come," Namjoon knew Yoongi wasn't used to being without his main caregiver and, based on how the boy was crying and all the things he'd read about little space, that was one of the hardest things for a little.
"I have an idea, how about we call daddy, hm? Then you can talk to him for a little, okay?"
"'Kay. Call daddy." Yoongi replied, nodding as hard as he could and looking much calmer now that he knew he was about to hear his daddy's voice. His favorite sound in the whole world.
Namjoon calls Seokjin.
"Joon?"
Seokjin can't help but feel a little nervous about what the subject of the call might be, if something happened to his little. The day was also going very difficult for him, knowing Yoongi was feeling little without him, his daddy, to watch over him. However, all his nervousness disappeared when he heard the lovely voice of his boy.
"Daddy!" he squeals. "Daddy hi!"
"Hi, my little love," Seokjin cooed. "How's your day going? Daddy misses you so much"
"Miss daddy too," he pauses. "Lots and lots"
And as they start talking to each other, mostly Yoongi babbling excitedly about his pacis, his plushies and his other toys, Namjoon moves over to the kitchen and grabs the food and the bottle he'd made for Yoongi. He starts feeding him while him and Seokjin talk and Yoongi doesn't even seem to notice there's someone feeding him because he's so enthusiastic about talking to his daddy.
Yoongi finishes all his food (he didn't want to, but his daddy encouraged him to eat /all/ the food Joonie was feeding him, and so he did it because he's a good boy and listens to his daddy) and keeps talking to his daddy on the phone. And that's how most of the morning is spent, until Yoongi falls asleep and Namjoon hangs up the phone (not without thanking Seokjin for helping him calm Yoongi down and make him eat his breakfast). He covers the boy with a blanket that was draped over the couch and can't resist going for a nap too.
-
Namjoon wakes up and the first thing he notices is that Yoongi is laying down tummy down on the mat, playing with a plastic set of keys. He figures the boy must be feeling pretty young to find that entertaining, and he feels his heart warm at the realization.
He checks the time on his phone and notices he slept for a lot longer then he planned, and hopes Yoongi hasn't been up and alone for too long.
He sits down beside Yoongi and sits him on his lap. The boy startles and seems ready to start full on crying until he notices Namjoon was the one who picked him up. He relaxes in Namjoon's arms and presses his face to the leader's chest and the Namjoon has to fight back a smile -and maybe even some happy tears- at the act, knowing Yoongi doesn't fear him so much anymore and is actually beginning to trust him really makes an impact on him.
He thinks about asking the boy if he's been up for long but he knows he wouldn't get an answer so he decides against it.
"What are you playing with, Yoonie? Can you tell Joonie?" he asks instead.
"It's keys," Yoongi's answer comes out muffled behind his pacifier. "'ddy got me red an' owange an' yellow an' gween an' blue keys." he says proudly and shakes the plastic keys in Namjoon's face.
"Wow baby, you're so smart! You know so many colors!" Namjoon praised. He picks up a cute purple stuffed cat that was sitting next to the couch (it became pretty common to have random toys and pacifiers scattered all over the house after Yoongi came out as a little). "What color is this Yoongi?"
"Puwple! Puwple kitty! Kookie gave to Yoonie!" Namjoon had gotten Yoongi a cloth book (Seokjin had mentioned the baby liked those) when he came out as a little, just to try to be supportive like all the other members, but he made a mental note to buy a million more toys and baby items and spoil him rotten now that he would actually be able to see Yoongi enjoy them.
"Oh wow that's awesome. I think that's not the only kitty in the room though..." Namjoon acted as if he was deep in thought and Yoongi looked at him confusingly. "I think you're a kitty too!" Namjoon suddenly said and starting kissing Yoongi's face all over when the boy burst out in laughter.
They played nicely for some time, until Yoongi sneezed and his binky fell to the floor.
Yoongi whined sadly, his lower lip beginning to tremble and tears pouring out of his eyes.
"No no sweetheart it's okay!" Namjoon picked the pacifier up and slid it between Yoongi's lips. "It's all good, you have your paci back now!"
Yoongi kept crying though, and Namjoon noticed he had started squirming and was tugging on the waistband of his pants.
"You need a change, don't you?" at that, Yoongi started crying even harder and Namjoon knew he was right. He got up with the boy still in his lap and carried him to the bedroom. He started setting up all the materials he would need for the change but stopped abruptly when he heard the tiny voice of the little.
"'m sowwy..." said Yoongi.
"What are you sorry for, honey?"
"Been bad...keep cwying..."
"Oh Yoonie you don't have to be sad about crying! It's natural for babies to cry, and you're just a baby aren't you?"
Yoongi nods. "Daddy says that too."
"It's 'cause it's true." Namjoon smiles down at him and begins changing him.
-
After Yoongi was strapped in a new nappy, Namjoon gave him some food for a -very- late lunch and it went smoothly (Yoongi whined a little bit when Namjoon said that no, he couldn't have only a bottle for lunch, but calmed down when the leader told him that Seokjin would be home soon and he would make Yoongi a bottle).
Following lunch, the little asked Namjoon if they could color. Namjoon obviously agreed and grabbed some crayons and some drawings from Yoongi's coloring book.
He had been done with his page for a few minutes when Yoongi declared he was finished. It looked... exotic. Yoongi used some weird colors for the trees and little ducks that were on his page, and he couldn't really color inside the lines, but Namjoon thought it looked adorable nonetheless (only because Yoongi was the one who colored it).
"Oh wow Yoongi that looks so pretty!"
Yoongi looked down shyly. "Um... Joonie?"
"Yes, pumpkin?"
"Can... can Joonie write on dwawing for Yoonie?"
"Of course, what to you want me to write?"
"Um... write like this... um..." he thought for a bit about what he wanted Namjoon to write. "From Yoonie to daddy. Daddy, Yoonie love daddy 'nd misses daddy lots and lots 'nd maked this dwawing all for daddy," then, after a few moments, he realized he wasn't done. "Oh! An' an' write like this: 'love daddy'."
Namjoon didn't point out that he had already said that and instead found it was so precious how much Yoongi loved Seokjin, something he had always noticed when Yoongi was big and now when he was little too. He wrote everything Yoongi said, verbatim, and just when he gave the colored page back to the little, he heard keys opening the front door.
Seokjin and Jimin walked inside the house and as soon as Yoongi turned around and saw his daddy, he immediately-
Started crying?
Seokjin came running and after inspecting if his baby was hurt, picked him up and started rocking Yoongi while walking around in the living room.
"What's wrong little love? Can you tell daddy? Daddy doesn't like seeing you sad, kitten." he said, wiping the boy's tears with his thumb.
"'m not sad, 'ddy," Yoongi sniffed. "'s happy tears. Happy 'cause missed daddy 'nd now daddy here." he buried his face in his caregiver's neck and started giving it kisses and sucking it a little bit.
"Oh little angel, daddy missed you too," he motioned for Namjoon, who had been watching the interaction confusingly at first but now fondly, to give him Yoongi's pacifier. When he did, he slid the soother in his baby's mouth. Yoongi looked at him as if he had hung the moon and the stars. The boy pressed his palm to his daddy's cheek and leaned forward to give him a little kiss on the lips. There wasn't anything sexual about that, just an act to demonstrate the pure and intimate feeling that can only be shared between a little and his caregiver. Jimin cooed from where he had been standing ever since Yoongi started crying.
"I'll take him for a bath, can you make him a bottle Jimin? I'm sure Joon is very tired," he looked at Namjoon, who shook his head with a tiny smile. Seokjin smiled back and said he would talk to Namjoon later. After all, he had a baby to take care of, a very needy baby.
Jimin nodded and left to the kitchen, but came back and said to Namjoon -very threateningly- that he wanted to hear every single detail of today.
-
Seokjin was now undressing his little bundle of joy for his bath and couldn't help but kiss his tummy all over to make him laugh. He missed Yoongi so much today. He knew that now Yoongi had 5 other caregivers, but even though he knew it was wrong, he felt a little bit jealous knowing other people were spending time with his baby without him.
He put Yoongi in the bathtub and asked him if he wanted his bath toys, though that was just for the habit because he knew the answer would be yes.
Except... it wasn't?
"Why not, baby boy?"
Yoongi suddenly looked shy. "Wan' watch you, dada." he said pointing timidly at his caregiver.
Seokjin chuckled and began bathing his boy with the most caring and loving touch. Yoongi babbled about his day the whole time, even though today he had already spent over an hour talking to Seokjin on the phone.
Watching his daddy bathe him like a hawk, Yoongi is completely relaxed. The energy in the room is completely calm, and he feels safe.
When Seokjin is almost done washing Yoongi is when he notices the boy might have relaxed a little bit too much.
"Oh baby..." he gently grabs Yoongi's arms to lift him up and, sure enough, the boy is peeing.
"Daddy, 'm sowwy! Didn't notice," he says with his signature pout, seeming genuinely sad for having an accident in the bathtub, something he used to do a lot before but not anymore because his daddy had began telling him that if he needed to go potty when he wasn't wearing a nappy, he absolutely /needed/ to tell daddy, otherwise he would be punished. "Yoonie sowwy dada" he sniffles.
But today, Seokjin doesn't have it in him to punish his boy. The little has been through so much already, he's probably so overwhelmed. He waits for Yoongi to finish up, drains the bathtub and quickly rinses the boy in the shower. He wraps him a fluffy pink towel and takes him to the bedroom.
Seokjin dries him and spreads some strawberry scented lotion all over him, enjoying Yoongi's giggles when he massages his ticklish parts. "My little baby, smelling so nice!"
Yoongi makes grabby hands for his daddy when he goes to grab a diaper.
"I'm right here, angel."
Said angel smiles and enjoys the view that is his daddy. He loves him so much, he wishes he could think of more ways to show it.
He suddenly remembers the drawing he colored for Seokjin and the letter he asked Namjoon to write. He sits up with wide eyes just as his daddy is finishing taping up his diaper.
"Woah sweetheart, what's wrong?"
"Dada! Hafta' go, dada!"
"Go where, honey?"
"Living room, dada! Hafta' go!" he emphasized.
Seokjin dressed Yoongi in one of his own t-shirts (but not pants because Yoongi seemed to be in a hurry), picked him up and took the boy back to the living room. He found Jimin and Namjoon talking, probably about Yoongi, if Namjoon's bright smile and Jimin's jealous face were anything to go by. Yoongi squirmed to be put down and Seokjin did so.
The little immediately ran to the coffee table and picked up a colored page. He gave it to his caregiver and looked down, nervous if his daddy was going to like it or not (he also felt a little uncomfortable by Joonie and Minnie watching him so intensively).
Seokjn looked at the coloring and smiled so big it reached his ears. His eyes then moved to the few words written at the top. He felt as if he was over the moon, and his heart hurt with so much love for his little. He knew Yoongi wasn't the one who officially wrote it, because his headspace was so young, but he knew that those were his words.
"Yoonie, daddy loves it so much," He hugs Yoongi and wraps the boy's legs around his waist. He buries his face in Yoongi's neck and kisses it lots. "Thank you, sweetheart. I love you, too."
-
Seokjin reaches over to wipe a dribble of dried milk that was on Yoongi's cheek. They're laying down on their side, face to face, and nothing but the sound of Yoongi sucking his pacifier as background noise.
Seokjin had just finished giving Yoongi his bottle, and now he was waiting for the boy to fall asleep for his nap, but he seemed much more interested in watching his caregiver instead.
"You missed me that much, huh?" of course he was just messing around, because he missed Yoongi just as much if not more.
Yoongi nods slowly and reaches out to trace his finger all over his daddy's face.
"'ddy?" he calls behind his soother.
"Hm?"
"'m sowwy for doing pee pee in the bath..."
"It's okay honey, it happens."
Yoongi seems content with the answer.
"Daddy?"
"What's up, sweetheart?"
The boy takes a while to answer, but Seokjin doesn't press him. He never does.
"Had lotsa' fun with Joonie," Yoongi says. "Cried lots but just 'cause missed daddy. Love Joonie."
"I'm glad, kitten."
The room is quiet for a few minutes, and Yoongi's finger is still tracing every part of Seokjin's face.
"Dada? Sing to Yoonie pwease?"
Seokjin smiles and begins singing the song he knows it's Yoongi's favorite for bedtime.
The boy is asleep before the song is even finished.
-
Seokjin walks into Namjoon's room after knocking to talk to him about how the day went, even though he already knows everything he needs to know by Yoongi's words before he went to sleep.
They both smile at each other knowing they have one new thing in common: The unconditional love for little Yoongi.
