Chapter Text
Ororo munroe also know by as her people the weather witch but to the Xmen storm, she loved the name being able to manipulate the weather was useful and her first day at the institute was a rocky one she was first National Geographic had an article on her back than women were topless in her tribe but here it is frowned on. Jean gave her a top which was odd.
The first week Charles would show her around and like all things she was very adaptive. Charles eventually offered her a job with the younger students and she happily accepted. Though it was perhaps a way to break the ice since she was very use to her abilities and jean noticed her calm and loving heart when it came to the children.
When the german mutant kurt Wagner was to join Charles explained kurt’s ordea behind the circus and it angered her. He appeared a bit thin and stand-off but Storm took the first step “Hello Kurt I’m Ororo” he looked down then up at her he took her hand and placed it on his forehead and then kissed the back of her hand “The pleasure is all mine” this of course made her blush and then Scott summers walked in “Kurt I’m Scott I’ll be taking you to your room where are your things?” Ororo noticed his confusion “I’ll take care if you wish?” Scott stared “alright” kurt smiled as both walked beside each other. Kurt stared “you have an accent that is familiar to me where are you from?”
Storm smiled, well in the beginning, I am the descendant of an ancient line of African priestesses, all of whom have white hair, blue eyes, and the potential to wield magic. I am named Born Ororo Munroe, my mother, N'Daré, was the princess of a tribe in Kenya, who married the American photojournalist, David Munroe, and moved with him to Manhattan, where I was originally born, however When I was six months old, myself and my parents moved to Cairo, Egypt and, at the age of five, a plane crash destroyed their home. My parents were killed, but I survived, buried under rubble near my mother's body. This traumatizing effect left me with the severe claustrophobia that still afflicts me today. But I managed to escape the rubble of my shattered home with nothing but the tattered clothes on my back and my mother's ancestral ruby. Homeless and orphaned, I was found by a gang of street urchins who took me to their master, Achmed El Gibár. Achmed trained me in the arts of thievery and I soon became his prize pupil, excelling in picking both pockets and locks. During my time in Cairo, I picked the pocket of an American tourist. The man proved no easy mark, however, as he was Charles Xavier, a powerful mutant telepath who used his abilities to stop the theft. At that moment, Xavier was psionically attacked by another mutant, Amahl Farouk (absolute ruler of Cairo’s thieves), and I used the opportunity to escape. Xavier, who acknowledged I was a mutant from brainwaves, declined to contact me at this point, not wanting to shock the already terrified me with the true nature of of powers. Itching to prove myself skills as a thief, I once stole a rare ruby-colored gem, the so-called “Heart of Eternal Darkness.” I did so against Achmed El Gibár’s direct orders. Only later, it would be discovered that the stone contained the essence of the immortal mutant Chandra. Years later, when I was about twelve, I felt a strong urge to wander south and left Cairo. During my travels, I naively accepted a ride from a complete stranger and was almost raped by him. Forced to defend myself , I killed the man, and, from that moment, I swore never to take another human life. I wandered for thousands of miles, almost dying during my trek across the Sahara Desert. My mutant ability to psionically control the weather emerged soon after,
Kurt’s tail whipped, a habit storm would pick up to understand emotions he was feeling, Kurt stared “I’m glad you fought hard, I was unfortunately um” he looks around ashamed and whispered it to her, Ororo stared unconsciously wrapping her arm around him. “If I was there I would have freed you without hesitation” she watched his smile return. “Here we are mister Wagner “ she joked opening his door “this is your room I am two doors down if you need anything”
The fourth day everyone had movie night and the student wanted to watch the greatest showman,Kurt watched it a bit the music was beautiful until Logan snarled about the actor not looking like him, one stared “Kurt were you considered apart of the freakshow?” Do you know the breaded lady?” Kurt stared “y.yes I was part of that act no singing though only beatings were received..I don’t like talking about it” he stared “why?” Ororo spoke “you must respect a person when they tell you they wish to not say it’s out of respect”
Than later that night Ororo woke to the sound of whipping and Kurt’s screams “NEIN! BITTE! ES TUT WEH! Fass mich da nicht an!” The sound of sobbing as Scott stared “he won’t open the door” Ororo stared “turn the sound off now whoever did this will be dealt with kitty please phase through and unlock please” she did “everyone back to bed”
Ororo sat hugging him “it’s okay I’m here” she felt him shaking violently as if he is uncontrollable she stared you know music helps and a song once just came on while I was cleaning. And it’s called fear it is liar, the artist singing it speaks the truth and I want you to let your fear into the fire, and cast your fear into it, because Kurt you look so much better when you smile” friends are there to catch you when you fall. My shoulder is always here to lean on” she pulled Kurt to his up and hugged him tightly she felt his tail wrap around her like always he was calm again, taking his hand “maybe one more talk with the professor will help”
Kitty was still outside “are you okay mister Wagner? I could not sleep” storm smiled nodding kitty’s face light up “like I’m really glad” kitty hugged Kurt before running off back to bed. Storm walking Kurt to his room she sat down as Kurt curled up with storm stroking his hair humming as he yawn she somehow slept soundly.
