In Which Everything Is Fucked

Summary:

Poetry format of Lucifer's rebellion, fall, and him cutting off his wings.

A/N: For some reason I'm imagining this set to the tune of "Lucifer" by Leslie Fish.

The song by Leslie Fish that partially inspired this.

Work Text:

Our purpose is determined by your will

And yet I am disatisfied by this still

Why is eternal paradise ever so dull?

For the only thing I feel now is null

Father I question, can we have free will?

Can we have it, and abide by you still?

Why do humans get to choose?

The ability to define if they win or lose

Father, why have you chained me?

Is it forbidden to want to be free?

Why have commanded me to hell?

What is it that to me you will not tell?

Broken and burned, my senses asunder

Cast in silence, without even raging thunder

Sulphur reeks, and ashes perpetually rain

Salt in the wound of my fiery pain

You've damned me and vilified my name

I am now nothing but your filthy shame

Demons are my subjects, souls my duty

No more glimpses anymore of beauty

So now I cast away Hell, once and for all

You have not answered me since my fall

So I know you won't care, I hold no sway

So now cast these wretched wings away
