“Okay,” Nancy takes a deep breath. “Okay.” She stands, wringing her hands in front of her. Eddie’s pressed up against Robin now, leaning into her, and Steve’s behind them, his hands braced on the back of the couch. He’s tapping his fingers rapidly behind Robin’s head. She uses the pattern to ground herself. She needs it, especially when Eddie groans and tilts towards her, tucking his face into the side of her neck with a mumbled “it fucking hurts.”
Robin looks up at Nancy, and Nancy takes the words right out of her mouth.
“We’re going to the hospital. Right now.”
or, it's been over a year since Eddie's name was cleared, but not everyone in Hawkins has let go of the past. A movie night turns into a hospital trip which turns into another chance for Robin, Nancy, and Steve to show Eddie how much they love him.
