Golden eyes watched the screen as multiple battles took place, the eyes taking interest in everything that was shown. The first battle showed a green and yellow bey going after a generic bey. “ Flame Libra, a bey that is said to have the best stamina of every bey in Japan and attacks using shock waves and vibrations. ”
“ Sonic Wave! ” The stadium’s ground was covered by sand and the beys that were caught ended up trapped before a green light tore into the sky and something akin to a sonic shriek erupted around the stadium before the bey Flame Libra was going against had lost due to a sleep out finish. “ At first glance, Yu Tendo doesn’t seem to take people that he deems weaker than him seriously, but he hides a razor-sharp mind behind his joking manners. He is also a part of that organization that sits opposite the WBBA, the Dark Nebula. ” He then looked at the next screen and saw a green bey with a wide ball performance tip going against a red bey that jumped all over the place.
“ Rock Leone, a bey that can control wind and contains immense ferocity, living up to the name of King of the Jungle. Its defensive capabilities put it up there with some of the best. ”
“ King Lion Tearing Blast! ” Multiple tornadoes formed in the stadium as the bey Leone was going against, Storm Capricorn had just used its special move, Lightning Screwdriver as Leone simply took the move and stood unflinching in the assault before sending Capricorn to the sky.
“ Its user, Kyoya Tategami, is a person whose eyes can see everything on the field and takes after his bey in terms of ferocity and power. Reading the moves of the notorious Captain Capri is something to watch out for, he may have even seen me change Hydra’s mode. ” He turned his eyes to the next screen, where a yellow flaming bey had managed to barely beat out another yellow bey handled by two twins.
“ Flame Sagittario, a bey that uses its claws on its spin track to perform stinging attacks that can wipe an unsuspecting bey out. Good stamina as well, one not to underestimate. ” He watched as Sagittario managed to avoid the special move, Down Burst from the other bey, Evil Gemios, and take it out with its special move. “ And Kenta Yumiya, a novice to be fair, but quickly rising within the ranks of Japan as someone to be feared and gaining more experience as a battler. ” He then looked at a screen and saw a purple eagle glide across the stadium with ease while taking on the red bull that sat on the ground. “ Tsubasa Otori and Earth Eagle, one to watch out for. His calm demeanor and analytical mind are a nightmarish combination, combined with the fact that Eagle can take to the skies at a moment’s notice and attack using any sort of way, counters upon counters. ”
“ Eagle, Metal Wing Smash! ” The Eagle recovered after getting smashed into the air by the bull before spiraling down and crashing into the bey, sending Benkei Hanawa’s Dark Bull out of the stadium. “ The ferocity of an eagle combined with its ability to stalk prey from the sky, a true force to be reckoned with. ”
“Now we have Hyoma, no surname. A mysterious opponent who can rival most of the competition with his Rock Aries and his many creative ways of attacking, as well as the ways he can modify the bey with different performance tips that he has in his arsenal.” A clip of the Survival Battle showed up on the screen, with Hyoma and Aries fighting pretty evenly against Kyoya’s Leone with its Semi-Flat performance tip and usage of cover to wear Leone down before it was ultimately defeated in a cunning play. “Crafty, and able to keep pace with someone considered to be at least top 5 in Japan in terms of strength. And now we have the main attraction, the person the world of Japan has centered around with his blader’s spirit and how he battles. Gingka Hagane and Storm Pegasus, a perfect combination on paper and in practice. Similar to Eagle, it takes to the skies often as the winged horse is one to do, also using its amazing speed to create a vacuum around the stadium on some occasions, a new special move but one he hasn’t yet mastered.” He watched as Storm Pegasus ran wild against Thermal Pisces of the blader known as Ryutaro the Magician. “The person that everyone’s gunning for in this battle royal. He has defeated Tsubasa once, though it didn’t look like Tsubasa truly went all out. Yu defeated Gingka in the survival battle due to Libra’s abilities being well-hidden enough that Gingka wasn’t able to adapt in time. Gingka and Kyoya have had numerous battles against one another when Kyoya used to be the leader of whatever that group was. Kenta is considered Gingka’s sort of disciple as well as a good friend, and Hyoma is known to have been from Gingka’s hometown and they’ve been childhood friends and rivals since.”
Jazen then smiled as he thought about something he just noticed. “ The only unknown is me, but with Gingka factored in, the Dark Nebula bladers would be forced to recognize the threat he possesses over trying to figure me out, or maybe they split up. That’s also not factoring the wildness of Kyoya and Leone and how he could factor in, as well as Kenta and Hyoma trying to prove themselves in this battle for supremacy and chance to get a major leap for Battle Bladers. ” Hydra lay upon the counter beside him and started glowing, his eyes glowing in unison. “Let’s see how they react to me today. Sora already went ahead into the crowd, let me check on the other contestants.”

“Hmm, a ‘Jazen’ huh.” A person sat in a chair holding a wine glass while looking at multiple screens, Tsubasa and Yu standing side-by-side to him. On one screen was the battle that happened yesterday to decide the seventh member, when Jazen had shown himself to the Dark Nebula and WBBA after showing himself off instead of flying under the radar to Battle Bladers. “47,000 points too you say?”
“Yeah Doji, he has just as much as Gingka does, but he’s escaped our eyes for so long.” The man known as Doji looked as one of his bladers, one of the Kumade brothers got thrashed by this mysterious new blader. That bey as well, it was extraordinary. “Deep Sea Hydra V145AS, a bey that can switch between modes as well, is very interesting indeed. However, this unknown blader does not deter you from your goal of going after Gingka Hagane and Storm Pegasus. If this Jazen Shinkai gets in your way, however, test his capabilities to the best of your abilities. I don’t trust this bey, but the main point of creating this Battle Royal was to create a way to test Gingka and Pegasus as well as Kyoya and Leone, and Hyoma with Aries. I wanted Dan and Reiki to also make it in with Gemios, but it seemed Kenta and Sagittario were more trouble than I originally thought. The damned WBBA interfered however and decided that one more person would be added to the Battle Royal, but the Dark Nebula will take any opportunity to scout new bladers, whether they will be with us, or against us.”
Tsubasa and Yu walked out with Doji still looking at the screen, Jazen and a schematic of Deep Sea Hydra showing up. “Merci, run a series of diagnostics, I want every secret of this bey to be dissected, Ryuga will love a new bey to devour along with the others” “ Right away, monsieur. ”
“So, which one of us will be going to battle Gingka huh? I think I should be the one to test him!” Yu exclaimed while Tsubasa sighed, “Be calm little boy, if anyone is testing Gingka, it’s me, you can handle the others.” Yu made a face and then stuck his tongue out, “Why do you have to take on Gingka, why don’t you take on that Jazen guy or whatever?”
“While I may want to see what he is made of, Doji’s mission for us is to test Gingka, not Jazen. When I see a chance, I will pursue it. Until then, Gingka is my target.” Yu made another face and thought to himself, “ Yeah right, if anyone’s battling Gingka it’s me! ”

“ Oh man, am I even strong enough to compete with the rest of these guys? I mean Gingka, Kyoya, Tsubasa, Yu, Hyoma, even that Jazen guy, they’re all so strong .” Kenta looked at the group around him, with Gingka hyping himself up while Kyoya and Hyoma leaned against the wall with their arms crossed. “Oh man oh man I can’t wait for this battle, all of you are good battlers and now we have that Jazen guy as well, man this is gonna be good!”
“Just remember Gingka, there’s only one person that can take you down.” Gingka stopped and looked at Kyoya who was almost glaring at him. “I’m the only person who’s allowed to take you down, so you better not lose to one of the other guys before me!”
“I don’t know about that pal, remember I still have a debt to settle with Gingka too, wait at the back of the line.” Kyoya glared at Hyoma before he grinned, his fangs settling in. “Funny isn’t it Hyoma, remember that I beat you in the Survival Battle, so if anyone is at the back of the line it’s you!” Hyoma glared back as Kenta felt their Bladers’ Spirits heighten, his insecurities becoming more and more clear before he looked at Madoka who was making sure their beys were all good while focusing on her tablet screen. “Um Madoka, what are you doing?” He looked over her shoulder as she didn’t respond, coming face to face with a schematic of a bey. “Deep Sea Hydra, you’re still looking at it?” Kenta managed to grasp the attention of the other boys in the room as they all now looked interested in the topic of the new blader. “Deep Sea Hydra, that Jazen guy has one amazing bey on him don’t you think?” Gingka said with a pumped fist while Kyoya grunted and said, “His bey, it can switch modes can’t it? In the battle against the Dark Nebula guy with Rock Orso and that Sora guy with that Cyber Bey, he tanked both of their special moves with ease. They might’ve been weaklings compared to him, but a special move is nothing to sneeze at. There’s also mentioning that his special move is strong, strong enough to overpower both of the others at the same time.” Madoka turned around in shock and looked at Kyoya. “How… You saw all that with just your eyes?”
“A lion’s eyes are very sharp, the fact you saw through the special move too, impressive.” The people in the room turned around to see Jazen at the door with his hands in his pockets. “What are you doing here?” Hyoma tried to probe with Jazen just shaking his head. “Can’t a competitor wish good luck against their adversity?”
“Oh uh, good luck then man, it’s gonna be an awesome battle out there.” Gingka tried for a fist bump but Jazen settled for a handshake, “Good luck Gingka Hagane, Kyoya Tategami, Kenta Yumiya, and Hyoma. May the best man win.” Kyoya scoffed once again, “Yeah, which is gonna be me.”
“Also, you.” He pointed at Madoka and smirked at her. “Don’t bother trying to probe Hydra’s secrets, Hydra itself will reveal them when it deems necessary. I wish you luck trying to probe, but it will get you nowhere.” He nodded in respect to the other competitors and left down the hall, Madoka’s frown showing itself on her face. “The bey itself, what do you even mean?”
“Beys hold crazy power Madoka, sometimes Beys keep some of their power held in until the perfect time. It’s how L-Drago fights, using dark power instead of its 100% unfiltered power. Plus, I can tell he has plenty of stuff at his disposal.” Gingka said as Jazen’s steps disappeared down the hall.

“ ALRIGHT EVERYBODY, GET SET! IT’S TIME FOR THE BATTLE ROYAL! THE LAST BEY IN THE STADIUM WILL WIN 10,000 BEY POINTS! WILL THE BLADERS PLEASE STEP OUT?! ” Blader DJ announced to everyone in the stadium and the people watching on their TVs and devices. Benkei sat next to Madoka while pouting about how he wasn’t involved in the match before someone sat next to them. “Oh, you’re Sora right, Kenta’s friend?” Sora looked at them with a smile, “Yup, name’s Sora Akatsuki! Nice to meet you two, I know you’re Benkei, we almost got to the Battle Royal man, sucks that we lost at the end. At least I get to cheer on Jazen, Kenta, and Gingka”
“This sucks, why couldn’t it be me and BULL in there?!” Benkei pouted while Madoka looked at him. “Wait, Jazen?” Sora rubbed his hair and said, “I have to at least root for the guy that beat me if I can’t be in it myself. Plus, we went to a burger joint after the battle yesterday and had a good time. He’s easy-going and relaxed and enjoys a nice burger so he seemed cool.” Madoka and Benkei looked a bit confused but nodded as the bladers all began to walk through the tunnels.
Tsubasa and Yu stepped out first and walked to the stadium, Doji overlooking them via a window connected to a luxury watch room at the top of the stadium. “Let’s see what exactly these two can do when in a situation like this.”
Gingka and Kyoya stepped out next, the two eyeing each other every step of the way before lining up across from Tsubasa and Yu, Kyoya stepping away from Gingka and glaring at the entranceway. Hyoma and Kenta stepped out after, both wishing each other good luck before they each lined up beside Gingka and Yu respectively. Finally, Jazen stepped out of the entranceway, his movements tracked the whole way by his opponents, specifically Kyoya, Tsubasa, and Gingka.
“ While I did say to Doji I will take on Gingka, if the opportunity does arise I will attempt to take him on. ” Tsubasa thought to himself while Kyoya just kept an eye on Jazen’s hands as he walked up, noticing Hydra was in his hands but was being covered to not reveal the mode it was in. Jazen looked back at Kyoya with a stare that was returned, Jazen’s spirit flaring up in response as the whole crowd could now see the dark blue mixed with black. Kyoya in immediate response let his spirit flare, dark green covering his body before Gingka stepped up, a burning light blue seeping with determination. Tsubasa and Yu flared theirs, purple and lime green beaming from their bodies as Hyoma responded after them, a red aura beginning to come alive. “ Oh man this is intense, everybody is already so into it. I need to keep up .” Kenta tightened his fist and flared his spirit, a lime green mixed with yellow sprouting from him.
“ What a showing from the seven bladers, each one not backing down from this display! What a battle we are going to be in for today folks! Bladers, GET YOUR BEYS READY! ” Each blader prepared the launchers before they prepared their stances, the competitors all noticing the lack of movement from Jazen, seeing he hadn’t changed modes but noticing he had a new launcher compared to the one he used yesterday, now sporting a ripcord instead of a string. “ But does that mean he changed it back before the battle, or is it still in defense mode? ” Madoka asked herself as she aimed to get a closer look and figure this bey out.
“ ALRIGHT BLADERS! ” The seven all looked at one another and mentally prepared themselves for the countdown.
“ 3 !”
“ 2 !”
“ 1 !”
“LET IT RIP!” All seven beys launched at once, all preparing to meet in the center before the inevitable clash happened, and a large explosion signaled the first battle lines drawn. 5 Beys were flung back to the edge of the stadium before regaining balance.
“Pegasus you’re okay! Man that was intense!” Gingka noticed Pegasus, Eagle, Libra, Aries, and Sagittario before he still heard the sound of two beys clashing before the smoke cleared.
“ UNBELIEVABLE, DEEP SEA HYDRA AND ROCK LEONE ARE CLASHING IN MID-AIR! WHAT A START TO THIS BATTLE! ”
“You’re not gonna be ending this battle with one of those first shots, you’re going to have to put in some more effort to even try and break through Leone’s defense!” Kyoya grinned, Jazen looking at Hydra clashing head-on with Leone while the two beys fell to the floor of the stadium.
“Leone is not only good at defense but has an amazing attack as well. What a guy.” Jazen grinned before Hydra and Leone launched each other back with the 7 beys blazing around the stadium.
“Alright Go Eagle!” Eagle aimed for Pegasus and started gaining ground. “Pegasus get away!”
“ Eagle Chases After Pegasus for Tsubasa’s first assault, Pegasus is losing grou- ” Libra jumps in between the two beys, stopping Eagle’s pursuit of Pegasus. “ What’s this?? Libra jumps in to stop Eagle and begin its assault, what is going on? ”
“Hey watch it Tsubasa, no cutting in line. I won’t hand Gingka over!” Libra began attacking Pegasus, only for Eagle to attack the two beys. “Well if you won’t hand him over, I’ll just have to take him from you.” Yu tsked and glared at Tsubasa. “Don’t get in my way.”
“ KING LION TEARING BLAST! ” The other bladers looked Kyoya’s way with shock as three tornadoes sprouted from Leone and created a strong wind, with Eagle and Libra being moved around the stadium, with Eagle almost being sent out but managing to catch itself. “Aha, I’m safe!” Yu cheered while Tsubasa clicked his tongue. “I was too careless.”
“ Huh, this tornado, one wrong move and you’re in the air and most likely out of the stadium. ” Jazen noticed as Hydra sat quietly in the winds of the tornado, ignored by the rest of the opponents at that moment.
“Have you figured it out yet or what?” The two looked at Kyoya confused before he grunted. “Let me spell it out for you, Gingka isn’t your only opponent!” A green lion appeared above Kyoya and roared to his opponents while he pointed at them. “Go, Leone!” Leone chased down Eagle who was forced to dodge the tornado, only to find Pegasus chasing after it. “Now Gingka, go for it.” “Right, GO PEGASUS!” Pegasus smashed into Eagle’s side and sent the bey into the air once again.
“NICE ONE KYOYA BUDDY!” Benkei shouted while Sora looked on. “ To create that strategy on the fly, well done, it’s no wonder I look up to you. ”
“ Check it out, Pegasus attacks fiercely. This is law #2 of Battle Royals, it’s cool to team up and attack one opponent! ”
“Lalalalala, you almost lost!” Yu taunted Tsubasa who grunted as Eagle landed safely in the stadium.
“It’s time to join the party Kenta!” “Right, go Sagittario!” Aries and Sagittario began the double assault on Libra. “ This time, Aries and Sagittario began their attack on Libra! ” Yu saw this and grinned, “Nice try boys, but I won’t lose.” Libra dropped back and went to attack the both of them, only for the two beys to swipe to the side and avoid Libra. “Wha-”
“Now Kenta!” “Got you Hyoma!” The two beys smashed into Libra and sent it to the edge of the stadium, managing to regain its balance and avoid the ring out.
“Oh, now this is getting fun!” Yu pumped his fists as Tsubasa looked at him. “Hey, kid.” Yu looked at Tsubasa with confusion. “I think we should split up, and take care of the weaker beys.” Yu then smirked and replied with, “You mean, take out the beys that are not Pegasus. Alright, I’ll go along with it.” Tsubasa just shook his head and said, “ A simple yes would’ve sufficed by the way.”
“If it’s alright with you, I’ll take Kenchi!” Libra pushed toward Sagittario and started attacking it.
“ What do we have here? A battle between Libra and Sagittario, the ultimate stamina-type battle! ” Kenta felt his nerves start acting up as Libra continued to attack Sagittario who wasn’t defending, simply letting Libra continue its assault.
“ Kenta, what are you doing out there man? ” Sora asked himself as Benkei and Madoka looked worried. “KENTA, SNAP OUT OF IT MAN!”
“Hey Kenchi, come on. You aren’t even trying out there, this is boring!” He then gave a dangerous look, “So I’ll just end it now, how about that?” Libra began vibrating and a green light appeared in the stadium. “AHHHHHHH!” Kenta screamed as Sagittario began losing ground and began to stumble.
“Bye-bye!” Yu waved with an innocent smile before a bey smashed into Libra.
“Leone? Kyoya?!” Leone stopped Libra’s assault as Kyoya glared at Kenta. “What are you doing out there? If you’re just going to stare off into space, go home and forget about battling!” Leone and Libra went at it while Kenta looked on. “ He’s right, if I don’t keep up now, I’ll never be on these guys’ level. ” Kenta tightened his fists and shouted. “GO, SAGITTARIO!” Sagittario charged toward Libra before taking it on alongside Leone. “Finally grew a backbone, huh Kenchi!”
In the background at the top of the stadium, a man with a silver mask and red trench coat stood there watching the battle, silently laughing and watching what was about to happen next, his eyes zoning in on Pegasus.
“Now Eagle!” Eagle chased down Pegasus, Gingka ready for the attack that was seemingly coming. “Bring it!” Just then, Eagle shifted gears and went after a new bey, Aries. “So I’m his target then?!”
“ Check it out, it’s Eagle and Aries, the ultimate defense-type battle! ”
“Why don’t you just hurry up and lose already?!” Tsubasa taunted as Hyoma looked at the two beys. “I’m also from Coma Village, and I won’t let Gingka hog the spotlight! Aries, WIND STORM ASSAULT !” Eagle went to attack Aries once again only for its position to get shifted with Aries’s spin track, Tsubasa looking more and more annoyed.
“If you mess with the Ram…” He smirked and made a hand movement. “You’re gonna get the horns. HORN THROW DESTRUCTION !” A red ram avatar appeared in the stadium and chased down Eagle, ready to knock it into the sky.
“So, if a bey isn’t on equal ground, your spin track move won’t work?” Hyoma’s eyes widened as he looked to his right, Jazen looking at him with an interested gaze before a dark blue aura surrounded him. “It’s time to make our presence known. If it’s an ultimate defense-type battle, why don’t we join in on the fun? HYDRA!” Deep Sea Hydra hit the edge of the stadium and leaped into the air at an angle where Aries couldn’t use its spin track, where Hydra would get a direct attack on the fusion wheel.
“ He’s joined the battle and is making a move, this is the chance to see how much power he has! ” Tsubasa thought as Hyoma looked nervous and started shouting.
“OH NO, ARIES, GET READY. REDIRECT YOUR SPECIAL MOVE!” Aries switched targets and the Ram looked into the air across, seeing a Blue Hydra coming straight towards with its multiple heads hissing and roaring.
“ Chasmal Descent! ” Hydra dove toward Aries with a dark blue aura surrounding it before the two beys clashed, the Ram avatar getting pushed back by the ferocity of the Hydra. “ARIES, HANG IN THERE!” Hyoma yelled, with Jazen looking calmly along. “It’s too late.” A large explosion erupted in the stadium with the rest of the opponents looking away from their advances. Aries was sent out of the explosion and sent into the wall of the stadium right past Hyoma’s eyes.
“A-Aries…” He tightened his fist in frustration. “I can’t believe it.”
“ There it is, the first knockout of the battle royal, it is Hyoma! ”
“Hyoma…” Gingka looked at Jazen who looked at him before looking at Tsubasa. “An Eagle and Pegasus can fly through the skies…” He grinned at the two as Hydra chased the two beys down. “But neither of them can reach the bottom of the ocean.”
“PEGASUS!” “EAGLE!” The two beys went to attack Hydra and smashed into Hydra and each other, the three beys colliding against one another.
“You say we may not be able to reach you down there but don’t forget, Pegasus’s wings will take it anywhere! NOW PEGASUS!” Pegasus went to the edge of the stadium as the fans grew restless, waiting for its very well-known special move. “EAGLE, GET AWAY FROM THE BLAST ZONE!”
“ PEGASUS HAS TAKEN TO THE SKIES, I THINK WE ALL KNOW WHAT’S COMING! ”
“WOOHOO, GO GINGKA! KNOCK THS GUY OUT OF THE PARK!” Benkei shouted, with Sora looking at the sky and seeing just how high Pegasus could climb. “ It’s almost like it’s reached the clouds. ”
“This Jazen guy, why does he look so calm though?” The two looked at Madoka who was focusing squarely on Jazen’s calm demeanor and his seemingly uncaring attitude toward what Pegasus was about to do. “ PEGASUS STARBLAST ATTACK! ”
Madoka then saw the grin on Jazen’s face as Pegasus launched downward toward Hydra while covered by a blue aura. “GINGKA STOP THE ATTACK, IT’S A TRAP!” Gingka and the rest of the competitors looked wide-eyed before they heard Jazen chuckling softly and looking up. “Your Starblast Attack, you go high to the skies and aim downward to knock the beys on the ground out of the stadium, but you never seemed to think about what would happen if the bey you’re going against went to challenge the move directly. NOW HYDRA, MEET THE STARBLAST ATTACK IN MID-AIR!”
Hydra manifested its avatar and leaped into the air, colliding against Pegasus, the light blue Pegasus and the dark blue Hydra clashing against one another before the Hydra pushed the Pegasus back, the Starblast Attack being completely snuffed out as both beys went back into the stadium, Hydra spinning perfectly while Pegasus took a second to regain its balance.
“H-He…” Gingka was speechless, as was the rest of the crowd. “This guy took on the Pegasus Starblast Attack and completely stopped it.” Tsubasa looked on in awe while the battle between Libra, Leone, and Sagittario also seemed to stop for a second.
“T-the Starblast Attack… was beaten in mid-air.” Benkei thought back to when he lost to the very same move, how unbeatable it seemed only for it to be proven to be beatable right here, even discounting Gingka’s battle with Ryuga.
“Gingka’s move was completely useless against him, no wonder he took me down with ease,” Sora exclaimed with awe at Jazen.
Doji looked down from his suite in the stadium was massive interest now. “It seems this blader wasn’t just all smoke and mirrors, but very formidable at that. He dispatched the blader Hyoma with relative ease before stopping a strong special move in its domain.” The Pegasus Starblast attack was certainly not a move to sneeze at, after all, it had completely wiped out some Dark Nebula bladers beforehand, and to see a blader that seemingly came out of nowhere point out a huge flaw of the move was very mind-blowing.
“Wow, that guy’s strong. I should’ve ignored Tsubasa and went to go test him, maybe I’ll do it now.” Yu said with glee before Kyoya snapped out of his stupor. “Yeah right kid, you’ll have to get past me first! KING LION TEARING BLAST! ” Once again, three tornadoes appeared around Leone, the tornadoes coming toward Libra as it swerved out of the way.
“Sagittario, FLAME CLAW! ” Sagittario’s claws extended and hit Libra dead on, Libra losing its balance and spinning around while scraping the stadium. “ Oh no! Looks like Libra has lost its balance, is it over for the winner of the Survival Battle? ” Libra continued to scrape against the stadium before it readjusted near the edge perfectly. “ WHAT IS THIS? Libra has recovered perfectly from Sagittario’s Flame Claw! ”
“It’s that Eternal Sharp performance tip of Libra’s that allows it to stay up like that. Flame Libra can almost adjust from any attack!” Madoka said while studying Libra’s parts.
“ Almost any attack, oh man these guys are strong! ” Sora looked almost enamored as Yu started clapping. “Awesome Kenchi! You almost had me there!”
“Next time you won’t be so lucky!” Kenta grit his teeth as Yu looked confused and pointed to himself. “Me lucky? If anything you’re the lucky one, defeating me is hopeless!”
Yu then saw three beys colliding and fighting against one another, with Eagle, Hydra, and Pegasus all going against one another and looked annoyed. “What?! Eagle, Hydra, and Pegasus, they’re battling without asking me to play? No fair!” Libra swayed from the path of Leone and Sagittario and tried to go toward the three other beys. “I don’t think so Yu, this fight isn’t over yet!”
“DON’T GET IN MY WAY! LIBRA, SONIC WAVE! ” The ground under Libra turned to rough sand, Leone and Sagittario getting caught in the Ant Lion Trap.
“KYOYA!” “OH NO KENTA!” The two tsked, with Libra managed to get away and go toward the three other beys that were all clashing against one another.
“Hmph, so I was right about you Tsubasa.” Tsubasa looked at Gingka who seemed to reminisce. “When we last battled, I beat you, but at the same time, I didn’t feel like I had won. You’re a whole different blader now.” Eagle pushed Pegasus away for a bit before going to try and clash with Hydra, who itself pushed Eagle back with the purple Eagle and light blue Pegasus avatars barely avoiding the snapping jaws of the multiple Hydra heads. “We’re gonna have some fun Gingka. But you Jazen, like Blader DJ said, you’ve been a ghost to both the WBBA and Dark Nebula organizations and managed to avoid that large Survival Battle that wrapped the country around its finger. And yet now here you are, 47,000 points in hand and on the cusp of clinching Battle Bladers. How is it that you are good enough to keep up with us?!” Jazen looked at Tsubasa and Gingka, with Hydra pushing Eagle away before clashing with Pegasus side-by-side.
“You know what’s funny, I wasn’t even trying to hide from the spotlight. The spotlight just focused on bladers like Gingka, Kyoya, Yu, and yourself. Don’t forget every part of Japan is involved in this tournament, I’ve just been in other parts demolishing the competition until I arrived here, where you all are the first decent competition I received that wouldn’t get taken down in one hit. It’s exhilarating. ” Jazen’s aura blazed once again as Hydra seemed to get more ferocious before it left Pegasus and went after Eagle. “EAGLE, GO AFTER PEGASUS!” Eagle barely managed to avoid Hydra’s attack before it clashed with Pegasus.
“NOW LIBRA!” Libra struck at Eagle while Tsubasa looked at Yu with shock. “Hey Tsubasa, no fair! You said we would take care of the weak ones first!” He then turned to Libra and scowled.
“IF YOU’RE GOING TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, THEN I WILL TOO! Libra began to glow green before Yu shouted, “ LIBRA, INFERNO BLAST! ”
A green beam shot into the sky from the middle of the stadium, the sound ringing across the stadium and tormenting everyone’s ears.
“So, this is Libra’s infamous special move that won the Survival Battle, impressive.” Jazen saw Hydra was managing to combat the pull of the Inferno Blast to an extent using its power over water to turn the stadium under it back to normal and looked up. “Quite the display of power, releasing a multitude of vibrations that would cause a bey that entered the beam to sleep out, and using the vibrations, it makes the stadium floor around it turn to sand to make it easier to pull in.” Jazen nodded in respect and looked toward Yu who was cackling before he looked at him with a smug smile. “Got something to say?!” Jazen looked at the Inferno Blast again before smirking, “You have an impressive Special Move, definitely beats some of the ones I’ve seen in other countries around the world.”
“If I get caught in that thing, it will be over like last time!” Gingka thought back to the Survival Battle when Yu beat him last, falsely thinking the Starblast Attack would overpower the Inferno Blast’s effects.
“NOW EAGLE!” Eagle managed to glide across the sand surprisingly well and leap into the sky using the stadium. “ Counter Stance !” Eagle then dove into the shockwave with a purple hue surrounding it.
“ Woah! Eagle has entered the shockwave willingly! ”
“What is he doing out there?!” Benkei asked as Madoka explained it to him and by extension Sora who was also listening in. “Eagle is releasing a shockwave on the same wavelength as Libra’s shockwave to cancel it out while attacking so it avoids a sleepout!”
“Instead of all that goofing around, we should’ve just done this from the beginning!” Yu grinned while Tsubasa smiled in response. “You and I will decide who’s going to be Gingka’s next opponent!” The Inferno Blast shook violently before releasing even more power, Kyoya growling before he released his move. “ LION GALE FORCE WALL! ”
The Lion Gale Force Wall managed to encircle Leone and by extension Sagittario due to the proximity of the two. Only Hydra and Pegasus remained on the outside.
“If I don’t do something, I’m gonna lose!” Gingka covered his face to shield himself from the power being exuded before remembering what he did against Ryutaro, the words of Kenta and Madoka coming back to him.
“ What do you mean pulled off, you were awesome Gingka! ”
“ By creating a vacuum, you managed to fool your opponent and came back to win! ”
“If I could do that again, I might have a chance to win! GO PEGASUS! FULL POWER” Pegasus began to shoot out blue flames and run in a circle across the stadium.
“ It’s the vacuum move that he created in his last battle against that magician. Even with his back against the wall, he pulls a move that he doesn’t trust out of his locker in hopes of winning this battle .” Jazen nodded before he tightened his fist and grinned. “ Unfortunately Gingka, your move is unstable. And I know when to strike. Until then, battle against the waves of sand Hydra. ”
“KEEP GOING!” Pegasus ran faster and faster, the flames getting larger and larger before razor winds were shot out of Pegasus’s wings and into the Inferno Blast, the move dissipating completely with Libra and Eagle clashing.
“OH NO!” “WHAT!”
“I’LL DEFEAT YOU, AND THEN RYUGA IS NEXT!” Pegasus was ready to strike at the heart of the clash between Eagle and Libra before a dark blue aura erupted from Jazen and Hydra, the arena now covered by this glow with Hydra also charging right toward the clash.
“NOW HYDRA, GO FORTH AND ENSARE ALL THREE! TYPHOON SMASHER! ” Hydra charged forth, Pegasus being unable to stop its own momentum but Gingka held strong. “PEGASUS DON’T STOP, KEEP GOING!”
Hydra and Pegasus both dove into Eagle and Libra, the light that surrounded the stadium blocking the view of the clash. Gingka, Tsubasa, and Yu all gasped while the last view before the blinding light consumed all of them was Jazen’s grin.
“ WHAT HAPPENED, WHO CAME OUT ON TOP?! ”
The smoke and light cleared, the silence permeating as each viewer collectively held their breath for the result, and what a result it was. Eagle and Libra were buried halfway in the sand having stopped spinning. Pegasus was embedded into the stadium floor before falling out, its spin also being stopped. And in the center of the stadium was Hydra, spinning freely on the stadium’s normal ground, the sand below having washed away.
“ THIS IS INCREDIBLE. EAGLE, LIBRA, AND PEGASUS ARE ALL OUT! IT SEEMS LIKE HYDRA IS THE ONLY BEY REMAINING! ”
“Pft, it’s not the only bey!” The smoke cleared altogether and showed Leone and Sagittario still spinning, Kyoya’s arms crossed with a smirk while Kenta looked shocked “Ah, Sagittario?!”
“ LOOK AT THIS! It seems the Lione Gale Force Wall managed to keep Leone and Sagittario safe from the massive clash! ” Kyoya looked at Kenta and smirked. “I didn’t keep you safe because I wanted to. You were just close enough to Leone to be kept safe, no you’re through. LEONE!” “AH, SAGITTARIO!” Kenta reacted almost immediately, but it was too late. Leone’s wind overpowered Sagittario’s flames, with Sagittario being removed from the stadium.
“ LEONE TAKES OUT SAGITTARIO! THE LAST TWO BEYS REMAINING ARE HYDRA AND LEONE! ” Jazen and Kyoya both looked at each other, each bearing a savage grin. “Did you forget what I told you in the beginning?” Kyoya taunted as his blader’s spirit flared, Jazen’s responding in kind. “Of course not, but tell me this Kyoya, what more do I need to accomplish in this battle?” Kyoya looked confused until Jazen continued. “At this very moment, I’ve already clinched a spot in Battle Bladers.” Kyoya’s eyes widened, as did the rest of the stadium’s as Jazen’s point total came into view on the big screen.
“That’s right, he already had 47,000 points before this. He’s already clinched Battle Bladers, even if he were to lose!” Madoka shouted as Benkei and Sora looked at her in shock. “He’s already in it?!”
“ No Way! It is true, Jazen had 47,000 points before this, even if he were to forfeit, he’d still make it to Battle Bladers! JAZEN SHINKAI HAS BECOME THE FIRST BLADER TO QUALIFY FOR BATTLE BLADERS! ” The crowd grew out of their shock and cheered wildly, a mysterious blader powerful enough to hang and even come out victorious in a clash against Pegasus, Eagle, and Libra was already in the competition.
Kyoya then glared at him and yelled, “WHAT, SO DO YOU JUST PLAN TO GIVE UP?!” Jazen looked at him and smiled dangerously. “Did you forget what I said after my battle with Sora and that Kumade guy?! I said I plan to win! Sure, I can just bow out now and receive my points and a direct ticket to Battle Bladers.” Jazen’s right eye glowed blue before his blader’s spirit exploded into the air, Hydra’s avatar manifesting and roaring while Kyoya’s anger turned into delight and the stadium began to crack from the pressure that was being exuded from Hydra.
“BUT WHERE’S THE FUN IN THAT?! GIVE ME EVERYTHING YOU GOT!”
Kyoya savagely grinned back, his own blader’s spirit going wild as Leone’s avatar manifested as well, a lion’s roar being heard throughout the stadium as the two beasts stared each other down before Leone created a tornado and sent the beys in the stadium to their bladers, not wanting them to get in the way. “AH!”
“ WITH PLEASURE! BRING IT ON! ”
The two beys sped up while the eliminated bladers all felt the pressure the two were pouring out. “These guys are monsters!” Yu exclaimed with glee while Gingka looked at Kyoya with surprise as his bey spirit reacted, the two’s blader’s spirits making him even more hyped. “ I’m out of this fight, and this battle is still making me feel this way !”
The guy in the red trench coat and silver mask watched these proceedings carefully, his eyes more focused on Gingka’s reaction to what was happening.
“I was saving this move for Gingka when I eventually battle him again but screw all of that! LEONE! RUN WILD, SHOW THEM WHY YOU’RE THE KING OF THE JUNGLE!” Leone lept into the air, a tornado encircling the bey as it flew down toward Hydra. “It’s time to rise and show our power. HYDRA, RISE FROM THE DEPTHS, AND SHOW THEM WHY YOU RULE THE OCEAN!” Hydra followed Leone into the air, a tornado of blue and black surrounding the bey as the two came closer to a clash.
“ SPECIAL MOVE, KING LION FURIOUS BLAST SHOT! ”
“ SPECIAL MOVE, BOUNDLESS FISSURE! ”
The two special moves collided, both boys roaring along with their beys’ avatars as they collided head-to-head (or heads in the case of Hydra) before a large explosion broke the stadium apart, rubble falling all over the place as the stadium couldn’t handle the clash, the tv screens cracking and the windows in the area breaking apart from the force. “Very interesting, it seems I didn’t give enough credit to Kyoya’s growth. He will be perfect fodder for Ryuga as well.” Doji smirked as the windows to his suite broke and the silhouette of Hydra appeared in front of him and snarled before it disappeared, his smirk getting wider.
“And Ryuga will be very pleased by the power of this new blader.” The smoke cleared as the silhouettes of Jazen and Kyoya seemed to be still. “ WHAT HAPPENED, WHO CAME OUT ON TOP OF THIS CLASH? ” The two beys also showed through the smoke before a tornado came from one of the beys while water came from the other, the two beys were shown to still be spinning even while surrounded by the broken stadium as the two bladers smirked.
“ DUE TO THE STADIUM BEING DESTROYED, THIS BATTLE ROYAL CAN NOT CONTINUE, THUS THE BATTLE ROYAL ENDS IN A TWO-WAY DRAW AT THE TOP! THE WINNERS ARE JAZEN AND KYOYA! ”
“A draw huh, looks like we’ll have to finish this another time where we don’t destroy everything around us.” Kyoya bared his fangs while Jazen just smirked. “With pleasure, a draw means you also get 10,000 points.”
“ WHICH MEANS THAT KYOYA TATEGAMI HAS ALSO QUALIFIED FOR BATTLE BLADERS! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, GIVE YOUR CONGRATS TO THE FIRST TWO BLADERS THAT HAVE MADE IT INTO BATTLE BLADERS! ”
The two shared a certain look before their beys returned to them, and that look was shared by the rest of the contestants in the Battle Royal. Jazen flared his spirit once again as Kyoya did the same.
“ This Isn’t Over Between Us. ”
“HEY JAZEN!” He looked toward Gingka who pointed at him with Pegasus in his hand, “WHEN WE BATTLE, I WON’T LOSE AGAIN!” His spirit began to pour out in response while Jazen smiled at him, a Hydra appearing behind him as his eyes glowed.
“By all means, all of you can have another chance in Battle Bladers. See you there.”
