Chapter Text
Orchid was still getting used to the fact that this base was his home now. However he managed to find his way through the base with only a couple of wrong turns. Orchid was also worried about what was going to happen to him after his outburst. It was a stealth mission, and what he did was certainly not very stealthy.
Orchid finally walked into the briefing room and to both his relief and displeasure, both Elisa and Agent were there. Elisa didn't exactly look happy, though Orchid had no idea if that was because of his outburst or something else. Agent seemed to be neutral like always.
“I see you have arrived. Did you complete your objective?” Agent asked, Orchid was certain she already knew the answer.
“Yes, I got everything that you wanted me to get.” Orchid responded.
“Very well. The rest of your time today can be used for whatever you wish.” Agent stated, Elisa was eerily silent next to her. “Are all briefings gonna be that short?” Orchid asked himself silently.
Orchid turned to leave, however before he could get far Agent added. “Oh! Should we discuss your outburst you had near the end of your mission?”
Orchid locked up. He slowly turned his head to look back at the duo. Their expressions didn't seem to change, however Agent’s tone was much harsher than usual.
“No. I won’t waste our time with lessons you have learned. Just remember that something like that can’t happen again.” Agent declared, regaining her kinder tone. “You are dismissed.”
As Orchid was walking out of the briefing room Agent decided to add one more thing. “It’s also recommended that you meet with the other ringleader here, Architect got sent to another base, and she transferred in.”
Orchid would keep an eye out for them, but first, a shower. He was very tired from his mission.

Orchid would admit that he was a bit embarrassed that he wore smaller versions of Agent’s uniform as his clothing. But it was incredibly soft so he had no problems wearing it. It was soft enough to use as pajamas as well. Which was what he was currently using them for.
He was currently wandering around the base, looking around for whoever this Ringleader would be. It seems however that they found him first.
“Oh, so you're the person I've heard about.” Orchid made an attempt to turn around, however the Ringleader's hands gripped his shoulders keeping him in place.
Orchid knew that he had little reason to fear the Ringleader, Elisa wouldn't allow anything to happen to him, However he still felt very intimidated by the intense presence of the Ringleader behind him.
“Hm, a lot younger than I thought you would be.” The Ringleader stated. “You need to relax those shoulders as well boy.” with a swift movement the Ringleader spun Orchid around to look at her.
The ringleader had long white hair that despite their length, seemed to be no problem to the Ringleader. She had a yellow eye, her other one covered behind an eyepatch. She was also very tall, Orchid barely reached her chest in height.
“Name’s Alchemist, what's yours?”
“Or-Orchid”
“Hmm, didn't expect a name like that. Then again you're wearing Agent’s uniform so I don’t know what I was expecting. At least you got a unique name.” Alchemist muttered. “You're lucky we’re on the same side, you don’t look like you’ll last long being interrogated.” Alchemist added.
Alchemist took another look at Orchid, “Your shoulders are still stiff.” After a second of contemplation a slight smirk appeared on her face. “Sit down over there.” Alchemist said as she pointed to a table.
Not wanting to know what she would do to him if he didn't listen, Orchid headed over to the table that Alchemist pointed to and sat down. He hoped that smirk of her’s wasn’t planning anything bad.
Alchemist slowly walked up behind him, almost like a predator playing with its food. Finally Alchemist stopped behind Orchid.
“So what are you- Oh!” Orchid began to ask before Alchemist put her hands back on Orchid’s shoulders. His shoulders tensed up at her touch.
It took Orchid a second to realize what was happening as Alchemist’s hands softly rubbed his shoulders, his shoulders almost immediately relaxing at her touch.
“I-I didn’t know you practiced massages.” Orchid muttered to Alchemist.
“I don’t. You’re just starved of physical affection.”
“Huh?”
“It’s one of those things human’s need. Human adults are either too stubborn to admit it or immune to it. But human children aren't. Why do you think those Griffin rats go crazy over those “head pats”? You’re not like us Sangvis Dolls.”
“I’ve been fine without it…”
Orchid could feel the giant smirk on Alchemist’s face “Well If you're so sure.” Alchemist teased as she slowly lifted her hands off of Orchid’s shoulders.
It wasn’t even ten seconds before Orchid reluctantly pushed his back against Alchemist’s hands. Alchemist’s teasing wasn’t over however.
“Hmm? What do you want me to do?” Alchemist teasingly asked, she couldn't hide her giant smirk any longer.
“P-please continue” Orchid quietly muttered as a light tint of pink spread across his cheeks.
“Continue what?” Alchemist asked, clearly enjoying what she was doing to Orchid.
“P-please continue to m-massage me.” Orchid managed to croak out as his face went red.
“Very well.” Alchemist replied as her hands went back onto his shoulders.
Orchid wondered if it was possible to die from embarrassment.

Orchid wondered if this was a good idea, he looked at the UNO box in his hand. They can just say no if they don’t want to play, right? After a couple of seconds of contemplation he knocks on the briefing room door.
After a couple of seconds a voice answers “Come in.”
Orchid quietly walks in, He sees both Agent and Elisa seeming talking to each other before he came in. Well here goes nothing. “Hey are you guys busy?”
“What do you need?” Agent asks.
“Well, if you guys aren't busy. I wanted to play UNO with you.” Orchid said, revealing the box of UNO cards behind his back.
Agent goes to say something but Elisa stops her with a wave of her hand. “How long will this UNO game last?”
“Usually 5-10 minutes”
“Very well. We can play this UNO game until 10 minutes have passed.” Elisa states, before I can pull the cards out of the box a voice interrupts me.
“Forgetting about someone?” A voice says behind Orchid. He turns around to see Alchemist behind him as she walks over to a table and sits down. “So how do you play this game anyways?”
<<<>>>
“I swear Agent, you're cheating.” Alchemist grumbles as she draws another 4 cards.
“I have no idea what you could be talking about.” Agent replies as she plays a card down on the pile.
“I’m the only one here who hasn’t gotten a draw 4 or wild. And whenever someone plays a draw 4 they almost always go to me!” Alchemist exclaims.
“It’s just a coincidence.” Agent states.
“This is a game of chance,” Elisa adds as Alchemist grumbles to herself.
“Hey Alchemist.”
“Yes Orchid?” Alchemist looks over to Orchid who looks both sorry and very amused. Wait.
“Draw 4” Orchid states as he puts a card down on the pile.
“Nope,” Alchemist says as she puts all her cards down on the table, then walks out of the room.
A small grin is visible on Elisa’s face, Agent’s face is neutral as always but Orchid was sure he could sense some amusement from her.
“Well, our time was running out anyways” Agent said as Orchid started collecting the cards and putting them back in the box.
Elisa turns towards Orchid “Orchid. Your assignment is to study those two books you have, as well as learn some basic warfare tactics. Make sure to update us frequently, at least once a day. If you have any insights or questions make sure to inform us as well.” Elisa states as Orchid gathers everyone else's cards into the UNO box. “You are dismissed.” Elisa adds.

“If you know your enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles”
Orchid was more focused on reading about 16Lab and their T-Dolls than the Art Of War, however he would never underestimate its wisdom. He flipped to another page on the book he was reading about 16Lab and started reading the next page.
“This is Persicaria. She is the director here at 16Lab She is a woman with a very relaxed personality. She has developed some of the most advanced technology used by modern T-Dolls today. She’s spent years indoors while working in her personal lab. Despite how she may look at times, she’s very friendly and caring.”
Orchid had heard about Persicaria before, when you talked about the science behind T-Dolls her name was unavoidable. Orchid wasn’t sure how she really acted, but he doubted the caring part. Orchid knows that Persicaria was part of 90WISH, and the word ethics becomes non-existent the moment you join. Orchid would prefer if they used the words cunning and cruel to describe anyone from 90WISH, but you can’t have everything. Orchid decided to keep reading before he got too lost in thought.
“Formerly a member of 90Wish, it is believed she left because she did not appreciate her co-workers; she went on the form 16Lab later on in her life.”
Of course the next sentence he read took the wind out of his sails. Orchid knew this book could be lying to him, but if it was true that she left because she didn't like the people at 90WISH then maybe she had some good in her after all. However you don’t necessarily need to be good to not like 90WISH.
Her looks don’t seem to scream “bad guy” however, she just looks tired. She has long pink hair with pink-reddish eyes. She wears a long white coat with a plain brown shirt to top it all off and has an extremely short black skirt. She doesn't seem to wear any shoes as well. Orchid can’t tell if that's a normal thing or something that just happened to show up in the picture. Oh! And who can’t forget the weird cat ears she wears that Orchid was weirdly jealous of.
Orchid decided to flip a couple pages in his book wanting to see what else this book had to say.
The dummy network is a command network protocol enabling a human command to be received by one doll, who would analyze and relay the command to the rest of its group. A team of dummied dolls functions about 37% more efficiently than a team of regular T-Dolls relying on other methods.
The page continued but Orchid would read it later, it was full of techno babble that Orchid would need to prepare to read to get his mind around it. With a sigh he flipped a couple more pages.
The Fire Control Core (FCC) contains all combat-related software in a physically removable module, making it easy to take away a T-Doll's combat capabilities. The FCC has a number of interface ports to make it fully compatible with any modification of Imprint software. Did the Sangvis Ferri have some type of FFC? Probably not considering they were made before this was made. Orchid guesses that they took it out once a T-Doll retired. But even if they retired wouldn't they remember how they fought and just do it again?
Orchid flipped over to the Imprint technology page.
Imprint Technology, officially called ASST for Advance Statistic Session Tool, is a software relying on compiled code to improve the proficiency of a T-Doll with specific tools and weapons, providing them an instinctual feel of how to best employ it.
Did Sagvis Ferri also use this technology? Sangvis Ferri units also had their own personal weapon. But this was made after they were created.
Orchid flipped back a couple pages to look at Persica again. His mind started to wander. Does she wander around barefoot? Is all her wardrobe the same? Does she ever sleep? Do her cat ears actually work or are they just accessories?
And In the midst of all these thoughts, Orchid had an idea.
