3rd person pov
"Are you dating anybody?" Gray asked and Zach smacked him "Gray!" she giggled and shook her head "No, i'm not, but i do like someone, or two someones actually" Gray nodded "COol, what's your favorite color?" Gene smiled holding a branch so Gray and Zach could walk through "Lime green, black, any shade of brown, what's yours?" she asked and Gray rattled off various shades of blues and yellows even saying that Zach's were black and navy blue, she told them to stay put while she checked out a strange noise, the boys followed her anyways, it was a four-wheeler, whoever was riding it had been killed, she figured the indominus was near, she spotted an abandon building and led the boys to it "come on, this way, we'll be safer inside" She slowly opened the door, wincing as it squeaked, she nodded to Zach and Gray who ran into the building, only once she thought they were safe did she drop her guard and realized where they were "Boys, welcome, to the original Jurassic Park visitor center, which means we should be able to find supplies" Zach nodded picking up a banner "Gray, you still got those matches?" the younger boy nodded "Yeah, here" Gene looked over at Gray "Hey kid, what else do you have in there?" Gray opened his fanny pack "i have a few snack packs, some sunscreen and a small map to the-" Keeler barked before padding away and Zach and Gene both stared at him "How long have you had that?" Zach asked annoyed, Gray handed Gene the map and she looked it over before handing it back, Keeler barked and the trio following his bark until they reached a garage, with two gas jeeps in it "Hey boys, have any knowledge of cars?" Zach nodded "We helped our grandpa fix up his old malibu" Gene nodded popping the hood "help me out here then!".
"why did you cry earlier?" Owen asked and Claire looked down, She sighed "It's nothing" Owen gently nudged her "It's not nothing" Claire sighed "it's just, i like her ok? i have been in love with Gene for a while and when you said she died i think a part of me died, but now you say that she might be alive and i don't know how to feel because i like you, a lot, but i also like her!" Owen paused looking at her "If it makes you feel any better, i like her too, i think i started liking her the moment i met her, same as the moment i met you" Claire blushed and smiled "What do you like about her?" He asked and She smiled "Her eyes, like twinkling embers" Owen nodded "Yeah, i like her smile" the two laughed and walked together almost forgetting why they were out there until the spotting the old visitor center.
"Alright we are back in business!" She went back in the building grabbing an old backpack and a new flashlight, for this building being over twenty years old everything inside seemed to be in good working condition, the trio heard something and Gene decided it was time to go "Ok, Keeler, load up, lets go boys" Zach climbed in the diver's seat, she found an old tranquilizer gun that somehow still worked "i thought you failed your driving test?" she loaded the gun looking at the boys, a little concerned "only the driving part!" he said shifting the car into gear and they took off "How comforting" she mumbled.
Claire and Owen watched in horror as Mr. Masrani went down crashing into the pterosaur habitat, said pterosaurs flew into the air, the ran into the forest trying to avoid getting eaten, Claire got a call from Zara saying she found the boys and a woman with a gun and she about cried, Gene was alive and Zach and Gray were ok.
They made it through the gate just as the pterosaurs started attacking and a British woman Gene quickly recognized as Zara, Claire's assistant grabbed the boys "Zach- Gray- Thank god! come with me, we have to get you to your Aunt- who are yo- Gene? Claire told me you died!" Zara quickly enveloped her in a big hug before smiling "I hoped it wasn't true" Gene nodded smiling at her friend "You are right, Zar, we gotta find Claire and Owen" they ran through the crowds until they reached main street where Zara was picked up and lifted into the sky by a pterosaur, Gene shot the Pterosaur and it dropped Zara who was pretty winded "H-hey, you're alright, i got you let's go" She gently scooped Zara up and had her lean on Gene "Zach, lead the way and keep Gray close" people ran by them and Gene helped Zara walk until she got better "Zar, i got the kids, you go get safe, i'll find Claire and Owen" Zara nodded and quickly ran off to a building with thick doors, she and the boys were weaving through the crowd until she spotted Claire "Cla-" she started but got distracted by the giant pterosaur taken down by a security guard, she grabbed Gray and shielded his body feeling the slight pinprick of it's beak in her back, somewhere near her kidney, she winced but quickly got up "Look, there's Claire!" she saw Owen getting attacked by a smaller pterosaur and she grabbed her gun, running up to him, knocking the dinosaur with the butt of her gun and Claire shot it with Owen's gun, Owen looked up at her, seemingly trying to figure out if it was really her "Miss me, Grady?" Keeler barked and Owen stood up quickly, he looked at her before pulling her into a kiss, when they broke apart Claire pulled her in giving her a kiss as well, Gene was a blushing mess "H-heh- i missed you guys" Claire smiled looking at her "We thought we lost you" Owen said happily and Gene bit her lip trying to find words "Nah, i'm too slippery" He smiled and god did she miss that smile, then Keeler barked again and the three of them looked at Gray and Zach, both boys stared at them, clearly trying to figure out what to say, Claire ran to both boys and pulled them into a big bear hug "Who's this?" Gene grinned "This is the raptor trainer i told you about! he taught me everything i know about training dinos" Gray grinned ear to ear "Cool!" Owen blushed before looking around "We gotta go" he said and Gene nodded.
as they walked Claire called a man named Larry at control and Gene and Owen overheard her say something about "What do you mean use the raptors to hunt the indominus?" Gene and Owen turned to the woman walking in-between them speaking at the same time "sonofabitch-" Zach laughed at them speaking simultaneously "You shouldn't say bitch-" Gray said quietly as the gate broke, Gene led them to a security van, Owen jumped in the front seat with Claire in the passenger seat, she jumped in the back with Zach, Gray and Keeler "Can we stay with you?" Claire was winded and spoke softly "I am never leaving you again" both boys turned and pointed at Owen and Gene before saying "No no them, definitely them" Gene chuckled but underneath the chuckle was pure rage, how dare Hoskins use the raptors for this, she looked at Owen and nodded.
