Summary
Ignatz was not one to drown his sorrows with alcohol, he always preferred to look at the bright side of things. Annette too, for that matter. But seeing those javelins of light turn Fort Merceus into a mere pile of rubble had left them all in such a state of shock, none of their usual coping mechanisms were up to the task.
Ignatz sketches a portrait of a tipsy Annette to help them forget about the horrors of war for a short while, but when they decide to take a break, Ignatz realizes that they're alone, in his room, on his bed... and that she's so very beautiful.
