Chapter Text
It's been quite a while since that game show ended. I don't think it was ever named, so I refer to it as just... the game show. If I had to approximate a length of time, it would be... about six months? Frankly, I don't think anyone's really kept the date of when Koe gave us those weird devices that let us freely go between dimensions. Since the finale, some developments have occurred throughout us former contestants. Most is stuff I don't know or is none of my business, though there is the obvious thing that is my relationship with Muffet. It's been thriving as great as ever, especially without the looming threat of getting eliminated and turned into pie or frozen. The other members of our interdimensional group have been quite the supporters, even those who in the past didn't have a particularly good opinion of me. Love does really overcome all, doesn't it?
Well, except Ixol, because he's still an asshole. I don't think he'll ever change, and honestly I don't care at this point. At least him and Arch-Illager have their brutish duels away from us, so it's not as much as a bother as it was back when the competition was running. I guess Koe is someone I should bring up in this piece of writing... He hasn't appeared since the finale. I should probably ask around in regards to his radio silence at some point, but it's nothing of major concern for the time being. I trust him enough to not be doing something stupid, either, since I assure he's learnt things since he hosted the second half of the competition.
...I do sometimes question what would've happened if Ixol had never escaped. Would the old host have turned us all to pie? Would we have been tormented as if we were her puppets? It's... a scary thought, admittedly. Not something I'd love to admit to, but I can't help but think of what could have been. As much as I don't like Ixol, I have to hand that to him. He singlehandedly saved everyone from being stuck in that dimension for all of eternity. I only wish he wasn't as much of an insufferable idiot as he is, as I would appreciate his actions more if so.
...Back on the topic of Koe, it has occurred to me that perhaps his disappearance has to do with when he vanished randomly during the competition's run time. According to Muffet and the other members of the final four, Koe was gone under mysterious circumstances for a portion of time after a challenge, starting from an unidentified time in the contest's duration to midnight. Perhaps he had an altercation with some other force, and it took revenge once we all left? But I don't have any concrete evidence, so if I wish to further research this, I'll need to actually ask others rather than write conspiracie
"Ay! Meta Knight!"
Meta Knight rose up from his desk upon hearing the sound. It was an unmistakable voice - that of a certain hammer-wielding penguin.
"What is it, King Dedede?"
Meta Knight left his desk to arrive at King Dedede's side. The avian laughed.
"Glad you asked! I've finally found a way to clobbah Kirby!", he said, proud of himself.
The shorter figure wasn't too keen on the success rate of Dedede's supposed plan. They all failed one way or another.
"Well, what is it this time around?", Meta Knight asked, skepticism laced in his voice.
King Dedede chuckled. "I can tell you're not too trustworthy of this plan, Meta Knight. But I am certain this will work! The plan is-"
And suddenly... Dedede was no longer there. He had vanished into thin air. Meta Knight stared at the spot he had been standing just seconds prior. He was completely baffled by the sudden event.
"...What?!"
