Chapter Text
Wilbur was finally going to see Phil and Kristen!
He had been pushing back his regression for awhile, but Wilbur thought it would be fine. He could be big for a few hours to have a chill day with mum and dad Phil and Kristen. That quite frankly, did not work out in the long run.
When Wilbur got there, he could already feel the tell-tale pull of littlespace. But he would be fine, he reassured himself. It's just Phil's house. He had been there before, what would be so different this time?
When he stepped in, Phil walked up to greet him. "Ayup mate! How was the drive here?" Phil questioned. "It was good!" Wilbur says. He starts to tap his foot, to get out some of the excitement he was feeling. Kristen walks out from the kitchen, the smell of chocolate chip cookies coming with her. "Hi Wilbur! Glad to see you could make it!" Kristen says with a smile. "Hi K'isten!" Wilbur says. Phil and Kristen share the 'look', only a look experienced parents knew how to translate.
"Hey bud, d'ya wanna come out to the living room and watch some TV for a while? Kristen is making some chocolate chip cookies, your favorite!" Phil says, testing the waters. "Mkay!" Wilbur says, clearly not a care in the world.
Phil and Wilbur curl up on the couch together, Phil slowly combing through Wilbur's hair as he hands Wilbur the remote to pick something to watch on the TV. Wilbur just stares at the remote, seemingly confused. "Buddy, do you want me to help you with that?" Phil asks, and Wilbur is quick to respond. "No!!! I cans do by myself." Wilbur says, grabbing the remote, trying to make sense of what the buttons said.
"Mate, can I see the remote, please?" Phil asks. Wilbur sighs, and hands over the remote to Phil. "Thank you mate." Phil says as Wilbur mutters under his breath. "What's up mate?" Phil asks. "No fair!" Wilbur says under his breath. "What do you mean not fair Wilbur? What's not fair?" "Can't 'ead da buttons on da wemo'." Wilbur cries, slipping further into his already little headspace.
"Awwww mate, it's gonna be okay." Phil coos. "How old are you right now mate?" Phil asks. And that was what broke open the floodgates, as Wilbur sobbed into Phil's shirt, clinging to him like at any second he'd disappear.
