He sat down at the bar and ordered a whiskey. And then another. It wasn't until after his third shot that he swiveled on the bar stool and looked around, and his eyes sought out all the men.
All the men.
His palms felt sweaty.
And he hated that his heart rate sped up for all the wrong reasons.
There wasn't even anything to see.
So, some men were kissing on the dance floor. Some were whispering to each other in dark corners or in the booths. Some were scoping out other men and looking to pull…
He avoided their eyes.
He swallowed.
He hurried to his feet and ran out.
It was the longest he'd lasted.
He shook his head as he pulled out his phone to call a taxi. He'd accomplished nothing.
And yet another crap day was over.
