Chapter Text
It takes a while for the Pizzaplex to be rebuilt. It’s fast as far as rebuilding goes but ultimately even the Fazbear company has limits.
Luckily construction also meant that certain ideas could be implemented without too much extra effort.
Just like you had expected, management relented and let you have your promotion and job title.
One of the first things you asked about was what happened to Foxy. He was the last mystery of the Pizzaplex.
As it turned out, he was being used in a movie series that they wanted to keep top secret. Roxy didn’t really replace him, people just sort of assumed.
You got management to allow everyone to have a video call together so that they could see Foxy was safe. They were all extremely happy to see him and Foxy was really surprised to hear about what happened to Bonnie.
He’d be back once filming was done.
What was hard to do was convincing the higher ups that Moon could be trusted around kids again though.
You had to prove it multiple times by being in complete darkness with him. Then they had to test it with people that weren’t you.
It was fair in all honesty, and so so worth it.
Because if he was clear for daycare duty, he and Sun were also clear to perform again.
They allowed this idea mainly because the comedy STAFF bot wasn’t really as popular as they hoped.
Sun was all too happy to help with the revamp.
The benches were way too boring for a fun place technically in the daycare. So was the stage. So now half of the benches were painted with Sun’s colors and the other half were painted with Moon’s.
The base of the stage was covered in glow in the dark space stickers. The red curtains were replaced with light blue ones with cloud patterns.
It was agreed upon that there would be special “field trip” days where the daycare kids would watch Sun and Moon perform as well as certain days where the daycare would close so they could focus on performances. This could be anything from a slapstick comedy routine to a puppet show to a full on play.
Speaking of plays, DJ music man was the perfect animatronic to help Sun and Moon out with musical numbers that helped kids, and teenagers, with important life lessons.
When the fire happened DJ music man was luckily able to avoid the worst of it using the different holes in his area. Since he couldn’t exactly leave the whole arcade though, Sun and Moon were both now officially allowed to leave the daycare to come and see him at night.
Bonnie Bowl was another project. Mainly you were tasked with his comeback. As they rebuilt the Pizzaplex they also rebuilt him. There was some debate about removing Monty now that Bonnie was back but you weren’t having any of it.
So, Bonnie was on drums. It wasn’t too hard for the techs to code his A.I to do so. In the testing stage, it sounded amazing. Bonnie definitely had rhythm.
Since Bonnie didn’t have a room anymore, Freddy’s room was turned into 2 for 1 situation. They’d be roommates.
Neither of them had any problems with this and management thought it would be good marketing since people would have to buy passes for both of them.
Monty made them some room warming presents of portraits that now hung up in the room alongside the one he made Freddy before.
Unfortunately, the raceway was a total loss. It just wasn’t safe to build on anymore, or in the first place really. They ignored tons of safety concerns to do it. You were almost glad they removed it. You never wanted to see that blob again. If you were lucky, it got destroyed and burnt with everything else.
You suggested completely replacing Chica’s Cupcake Factory to give Roxy a place again. Since nobody ever went to it anymore and it was infested with roaches they didn’t fight you on that either.
Her new area would be called Roxy’s Runway. It included the styling part of the salon from her raceway where kids could dress up in any clothes they wanted, including job based ones. Another part of the area had some attractions where kids could race around like a race car driver or take a photo shoot in a fake plane.
This allowed Roxy to interact with the kids more and still let her do some racing.
Once these projects were done, it was time for the grand reopening. Kids flooded the Pizzaplex like they were trying to make up for lost time.
There was one specific kid you were looking for, though.
“Y/N!”
You turn around and see Gregory sprinting towards you. You quickly kneel down and he throws himself into your arms. You both hug each other as tightly as possible. Vanessa smiles as she walks over.
Of course you had been doing what you could to talk to Gregory ever since he got placed in a home but it was difficult since you weren’t the one adopting him. Vanessa did her best too but it was so different to this moment.
“Gregory. I’m so happy you’re here.”
“I missed you. A lot.”
He hides his face in your arm.
“You won’t have to anymore. You’re going to have the best day ever so no tears, okay?”
Gregory lifts his face and nods.
You let go of him and stand up. He immediately grabs your hand.
You look at Vanessa.
“I’m ready when you are, Y/N.”
She smiles.
You smile back.
The first place you bring them to was Bonnie Bowl. It was Bonnie’s first day officially back and kids were surrounding him like a hoard, asking where he went, why he left, how he came back, all sorts of things.
Bonnie handled it like a champ. He said he had to go visit his cousin the Easter bunny for a while and help him out. Now he was back and not going anywhere.
That caused a lot more excitement but he seemed to enjoy it. When he was being rebuilt he talked nonstop about seeing the kids again. He was even slightly worried that too much time had passed and that they wouldn’t like him as much.
Clearly, he really had nothing to worry about.
He then notices you, Gregory and Vanessa and tells the kids that he needs to talk to an extra special friend.
He gets through the crowd and over to the three of you.
“Gregory! Welcome back, it’s so great to see you.”
“You’re a lot taller now.”
Bonnie laughs heartily at Gregory’s comment.
“Still as spunky as ever. You ready to test your bowling skills?”
Gregory nods.
“Alright! Let’s see if I’m not too rusty.”
You all head to a lane that Bonnie seemed to have made sure wouldn’t be booked. He carefully instructs Gregory on what to do and helps him with his first roll.
He manages to get a few pins down without the guard rail being up. You all cheer for him and Bonnie fist bumps him.
You each take turns. Bonnie was the best out of all of you but that was to be expected. He gave lots of tips and tricks with each bowl.
Gregory was smiling the whole time.
Eventually though, you all had to move on to fit in seeing the others. Bonnie hugged Gregory close and said he’d see him later. He also shared a look with Vanessa that to you seemed like he was saying there was no hard feelings between them.
Next up is Roxy.
She’s extremely glad to see Gregory again, and to be able to show off her new place. Immediately, she gets you all into themed outfits. She let Gregory choose the theme of course.
It started off with you all as racers. He wanted to ride in that race car as soon as possible. There were plenty of pictures taken by your phone and by STAFF bots.
Then, Gregory got to dress up like all the glamrocks. Roxy took lots of photos with him in the outfit based on her.
This continued on for a long while, until it was time to head to another area. Vanessa had snuck off at some point and came back with a gift shop bag. She refused to tell Gregory what was inside but gave you a knowing look.
Chica was next. She allowed Gregory into the kitchen so he could help her make his own special pizza with anything he wanted. Then you all ran around the maze together. It was way tougher than you thought, extremely confusing. Gregory as least seemed to have fun though.
After that was Monty Golf. A large crowd had formed around one of the holes. When you three managed to get through enough you saw Freddy and Monty playing against each other. It looked like an intense game. They were neck in neck, the same amount of strokes. This last shot would determine the winner.
Monty swings and his hit is just a little too hard. The ball rolls past the hole. On Freddy’s turn, it makes it in. The crowd goes wild and screams. You carefully watch Monty’s reaction. He huffs and raises his arm towards Freddy. You still for a moment, but then he places his hand on his shoulder and laughs.
“You aren’t as rusty as I thought.”
“It was a very good game, Monty. I am so glad you invited me to play.”
“Next time we’ll have everyone play together like before.”
“I would like that.”
The crowd disperses a little and they both see the three of you standing there.
“Superstars!”
Freddy rushes over and picks up Gregory, hugging him close.
“Welcome back, took ya long enough.”
Monty walks over and pats Gregory on the head.
“I’m ready to take you up on everything you promised.”
“Ha, you’ve got it.”
Monty and Freddy golf with all of you. Monty helped Gregory with his swings and they both cheered him on through the holes. Once he got through them Monty put him up on his shoulders and carried him around as a reward.
All of you then went on the rides around the place. Gregory shouted gleefully as you all spun around in the golf ball. Vanessa got really nauseous afterwards though. Then, you each went in one of the flying alligator ride cars. Gregory managed to hit the golf balls on the bucket and tipped it over.
You’re very much glad Monty wasn’t near it like last time.
From there, you all said goodbye to Monty and Freddy led you to Fazerblast. You all vest up along with a group of kids. Freddy joins in as well and when the game starts, Gregory is a kid on a mission. The practice he had before really helped out. The other team never stood a chance.
He gains a golden Fazerblaster just like the one you had. It was kind of nice to think you matched now. The three of you leave Fazerblast after that.
It was going to be time for the concert soon so you told Gregory and Vanessa to get to the spot early. You had something to check up on. You then make your way to a familiar wooden door.
You quietly enter the daycare. It was just about the time for the kids to have a nap. You close the door as gently as you can behind you and make your way over. The lights were dimmed but not off yet. You saw him chasing some kids who hide under the pile of blankets from him and giggle.
You couldn’t be more proud of him.
You start to get closer, but you’re suddenly stopped by someone grabbing your hand. You look down at your side and see a wide eyed little girl who had a doll held tight in her other arm.
A doll that looked like you.
“Hi.”
You smile.
“Hey. I like your doll.”
She smiles back.
“Their name is Mooncake. I want to go see Mr. Moon but I’m a little nervous. Can we go together?”
“Absolutely we can. I think he’ll be really happy to see you.”
She smiles more.
You walk over with her. Moon’s sensors already alerted him for sure that two people entered, but this would still be a heck of a surprise.
“Hey, Moon, I’ve got a very special guest here with me.”
“Who is it, Moonbeam-“
He turns around and freezes in place.
They stare at each other for a moment. Neither make any indication that they’re about to move at first.
Then, just like that, she lets go of your hand and runs at Moon. Moon catches her and holds her close.
“I missed you so much Mr. Moon. I kept telling dad that you were the best, but….”
“You don’t need to worry about it. All that matters is you’re both here now.”
He taps the doll.
“Mooncake is real, did you see?”
Stella points at you.
“They do look a lot alike. Their name however is Y/N, I like to call them Moonbeam. They helped me feel better so I could come back.”
“Really? Thank you Y/N!”
You smile.
“I’m just as happy to have him around. I should get going, let you two catch up-“
“Noooo, don’t go!” Stella whines.
Moon sees that she’s causing the other kids to stay more awake.
“I’ll make you a deal. One game of flashlight tag with Y/N and me then you get a story and go to bed.”
“Sold.”
“I’m definitely in.”
You take out your flashlight. You kept it around for luck now mostly. It helped you stay alive a lot of times.
The three of you play and it makes you remember when you first played it with Moon. Things were so much different now.
Of course he was still being creepy, but you knew better about him now. Stella loved every second of the game. You had a blast too, not just from the game itself, but seeing just how happy this made Moon.
As promised, Moon read her a story after the game was done. Goodnight Moon. You take this time to leave, smiling more as you do.
You make your way through the waiting crowd and to Gregory and Vanessa just in time for the show to start.
The entire vibe on stage was different. Everyone was having a lot more fun than usual. It was definitely because the band was finally back together. Bonnie was amazing on drums, it was only made better the way him and Monty seemed to be in sync.
You saw that Freddy couldn’t help but look at them both during the performance. You couldn’t imagine just how happy he must feel seeing his friends not only get along but also just have fun together after everything he went through.
He also looked towards the three of you a lot, as did the other glamrocks. They were definitely going all out specially for him, maybe all of you. You just knew they’ve wanted to give him the best performance ever since he left.
Judging by his reaction, this performance was definitely up there in the ratings. After it was done he couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was. He said everything that happened made it the best day ever.
“Well, we’ve got one more thing to do that might make it even better.”
Gregory looks at you in confusion but also has a smile on his face.
You tell him to close his eyes and you and Vanessa help lead him to the surprise area. After he’s seated and some certain guests get there, you tell him to open his eyes.
He does as told and sees a party room, just for him. All the glamrocks and Sun are there. There’s also cake, presents and lots of decorations.
“Happy adoption day!”
Everyone collectively shouts.
“My own party….?”
Gregory’s voice cracks a bit.
“You deserve it, Superstar.”
Freddy opens up his hatch and takes out a piñata. It was sort of funny seeing his hatch used for that purpose again.
Gregory smiles and doesn’t hesitate in hitting the piñata with the little stick he’s given. He hits it sort of violently and the candy soon spills out. He distributes a share to you and Vanessa.
It’s time for cake after that, Freddy flicks open his thumb and lights the candle. Gregory blows it out as everyone claps.
“What did you wish for, buddy?” Bonnie questions.
“He can’t say it or else it won’t come true!” Chica insists.
“I bet we already got him what he wants anyway! Open up your presents.”
Monty hands him a long green and purple present.
Gregory tears it open.
“A metal bat! With my name on it!”
“Thought you might like something you could hit with.”
Gregory cackles and waves it around.
“Awesome!”
“Let’s try to keep that just for baseball.”
You have him lower it.
“Oh oh oh, Monty and I made these together!”
Sun hands over a beautifully wrapped box. The paper had both a night sky design and suns drawn all over. Gregory rips it apart anyway and opens the box. There was a bunch of friendship bracelets, one for each of you. Gregory puts his on.
“I’m not really a big jewelry person….”
Sun droops.
“Oh….well you don’t have to wear it-“
“No, it’s mine forever, back off.”
Gregory holds it close to his chest.
Sun perk right back up. Everyone else puts their bracelets on as well. Yours went right next to Sun’s old ribbon you wore as another lucky item.
Chica gifts Gregory an 80s themed exercise tracksuit.
Roxy gifts him a racing helmet.
Freddy’s present was a plushie gift set of all the glamrocks.
Bonnie gave him a personalized bowling ball.
You gift him the Fazcamera you got before since he’d probably get more use out of it.
Vanessa places the bag she’d been carrying around in front of him.
“If it doesn’t fit let me know, I can always return it.”
Gregory pulls the gift out.
A Freddy varsity jacket.
He immediately puts it on.
“A perfect fit it seems.”
Freddy smiles.
“Thanks, Vanessa. It’s great.”
She smiles as well.
“We should take a group photo!” Chica chirps.
“I’ve got it, scootch in!”
Sun grabs the Fazcamera from the table and lifts up high as everyone gets into view.
“Say Fazbear!”
With a shout of Fazbear, Sun takes the picture.
That’s immediately a bad decision as they’re blinded.
“I cannot see!”
“Bawk bawk bawk!”
“Goodness gracious!”
“My eyes!!”
“Shoulda thought that through more.” Monty comments plainly.
You pick up the photo that dropped from the camera and onto the floor.
All the people you worked hard for are there. They’re here, happy, safe, and thriving.
All in all, the job you signed up for was way above your pay grade. It was scary, downright terrifying and life threatening at points.
But it was also the most rewarding job you ever could have asked for.
There’s no place you’d rather be.
