Chapter Text

Vegas loves his life, he truly does.

He loves being rich. He loves being able to provide anything for his family at the snap of his fingers and he loves being able to make his business partner grovel at his feet. He loves how his father’s eyes shine with pride at what he has achieved already.

But he loves his family more than anything.

His family.

Vegas had never been a family kind of person, ever since he was little, barely old enough to understand what the concept really meant; he would always be so…unbothered, but now that he has his own family—a husband and a beautiful baby boy—there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

Absolutely nothing.

Not even leaving a stack of paperwork for his assistant to do in the morning. Vegas made a mental note to increase Nop’s salary.

To: My Sunshine

do you want me to grab dinner baby?

From: My Sunshine

no, we’re good, I’m cooking tonight

just come home soon?

To: My Sunshine

20 minutes baby

“And...and we see that there was a kitty in the garden, it was a baby kitty!” Venice continued his story of the encounter he had with a kitten in school that day.

"A kitten baby, a baby cat is called a kitten" Pete corrected little Venice who immediately picked up the word.

Pete smiled at him fondly as he went on and on about the kitten and how cute it was. He gave Venice occasional nods and smiles, encouraging him to speak more. He loved Venice, their little ball of happiness.

Pete still remembered the moment they entered the orphanage, giddy at the idea of leaving with a child who Vegas and he would pour out their hearts to. The orphanage had so many children, all of them playing and laughing together, but Pete had tugged his husband’s sleeve at the sight of Venice.

He had been sitting in a corner, busy with his coloring book. The orphanage had already matched Pete and Vegas up with Venice after they had been approved as a couple who could adopt a child. It had taken weeks of paperwork and interviews to get them approved as parents, but Pete knew that it would all be worth it...each and every second of it would be worth it.

The owner of the orphanage had finally called Vegas and Pete to the orphanage to meet Venice. He had told them to find Venice themselves, using their memory of Venice’s picture which had been shown to them, amongst the large room of occupied, playing children.

“Vegas, he’s so cute,” Pete had whispered to Vegas, eyes glinting with adoration and excitement. “He reminds me of you, baby. Remember the pictures you showed me of you coloring in your picture book? He really, really reminds me of you!” before Vegas could respond, Pete had started sprinting toward Venice.

“Don’t get too excited in front of him, we don’t want to scare him…” Vegas had said, but Pete had already gone too far.

Vegas had then walked towards the corner of the room, where Pete had run off to sit next to Venice. Vegas gave all the children he passed a warm smile.

Vegas stood in front of Venice and Pete, both of them seated on the floor. Venice was even cuter up close. He was still busy coloring as Vegas sat beside him, looking at him in awe. He was fumbling with his crayons.

His hands are so small, Vegas thought to himself and his heart pained in his chest at the sight; it was too endearing for him to bear. Vegas crouched down in front of him, noticing his chubby cheeks and jet-black hair.

“Hi,” Pete smiled, causing him to look up.

Pete felt himself smile even harder at the sight of her large black doe eyes meeting his. Pete glanced at Vegas, who was still sitting on the floor towards his right and was looking at him with just as much love, mouth open slightly.

“H-hi,” he had replied, voice soft and curious, “Who are you?”

“We...,” Vegas motioned towards Pete and himself, fumbling with his words, “a-are...”

“We’re your new friends!” Pete had beamed, causing the little one to now look towards him.

He had given them a confused frown, “W-why would you want to be my friend?”

Pete had asked Vegas the same thing during their first conversation which took place under the shade of a tree on their school’s playground, soon after his mother had passed away. Pete felt his heart clench at the memory, at the very precious memory, which he would’ve expected to now be hazy in his mind. Vegas may not remember it but he did, it was right around the time his mother had passed away.

“Because you seem like such a very good boy,” Vegas had said softly, bringing a timid smile to his face, “What’s your name?”

“I’m Venice,” he answered, looking slightly less intimidated. “Y-you?”

“I’m Vegas and this,” Vegas gestured towards Pete, displaying his gummy smile, “is Pete.”

“It’s really nice to meet you, Venice. What are you coloring?” Pete had asked her, now properly taking a seat in front of him.

And then the three of them had begun to talk. They had talked for a whole forty-seven minutes before the owner of the orphanage interrupted them. During these forty-seven minutes, Pete and Vegas had learned that Venice absolutely loved drawing and coloring and that his favorite color was blue. They had also learned that he didn’t get along with the other children in the orphanage too well since they were all rowdy and loud, leaving him feeling intimidated, causing him to just want to stay with himself for most of the day except for when they were forced to play group games or when they had movie nights at the orphanage.

Lastly, they learned that the two friends he owned were recently taken into new homes. He had cried a lot at their departure but was happy for them and their new family. When Pete had asked him if he wanted to be taken into a new home, he had softly nodded, saying that he really wanted a family just like his friends now had, since his friends had both only recently talked to him through the orphanage’s phone, telling him how amazing it was to have a mother and a father.

It was at that exact moment when Vegas and Pete had given each other a swift glance, both of their eyes glossy, overwhelmed by their emotions towards Venice. They were ready to do anything, as parents, to see Venice smile. When their conversation had been interrupted by the orphanage’s owner, Vegas had stroked Venice’s cheek and told him that they’d be back in a few minutes. The owner of the orphanage, who had introduced herself as Yei, had taken Vegas and Pete back to the waiting room.

“I see you’ve found your son,” Yei had beamed at them.

“We...have,” Pete had said, bubbling with excitement, causing Vegas to look at him in complete admiration, “We...love Venice. He’s just so precious! We can’t wait to get to know him better and spend time with him.”

“Venice is a shy boy. He even took a long time to make friends here, at the orphanage,” Yei had said and continued calmly, “He was almost taken in by another family a few months ago. They had come to meet him; just like you both, but all Venice did was cry at their sight. I-i have such a soft spot for him, I just couldn’t see him being taken away by that couple. They seemed like genuinely good people, but the way he was crying, I just had to tell and pair them up with another child. I am so surprised that he actually talked so much with you both today.”

Pete smiled at Yei and Vegas intertwined his fingers with Pete’s, his thumb caressing Pete’s hand soothingly.

“I see the kind of love you both were looking at him with. No wonder he wasn’t afraid. I’ve never seen a couple looking at a child with so much of love right at the first meeting...as if he really was born from your own blood,” Yei said.

Vegas had given Pete’s hand a squeeze, delight bubbling through every inch of him at Yei’s words.

“We...,” Vegas started, “would really love to adopt Venice. We don’t even need to discuss it or think about it further. We’d love it if the adoption procedure could be wrapped up.”

Yei had given them a satisfied nod, taking them towards a whole file of papers that were to be signed in order to complete the procedure which had been going on for weeks.

“It’s going to take a while,” Yei had warned them.

Pete and Vegas’s gaze had met and their eyes glinted with anticipation, “We don’t mind at all; it’s going to be worth it,” Pete had voiced out. And it was, without question, worth it.

Pete's eyes glossed up at the memory of the first time meeting Venice, their life feels complete with Venice. Pete blinked and glanced at his watch, Vegas would be home from work any second.

Venice’s talking was interrupted by the sound of beeping outside their penthouse’s door.

“Dad’s home!” Pete smiled.

Venice immediately put his small hands on Pete’s mouth, shutting him up, “Let’s hide somewhere! Let’s not make any sound and let’s hide somewhere!”

Pete giggled at his son’s mischievous smile and nodded, letting himself get pulled by the little minx. He tugged on Pete’s arm and dragged him to hide in the small space behind their couch. Pete sat on the floor with his legs crossed, sandwiched between the wall and the back of their couch. Venice placed himself in Pete’s lap, bubbling with excitement, “Dad won’t be able to find us here!”

Pete wrapped his arms around Venice and nuzzled his face into his neck from behind. They could hear the sound of the door opening and then shutting. The footsteps, which were previously loud and clear, were now soft, indicating that Vegas had taken his shoes off.

“I’m home!” Vegas announced.

Venice began to giggle and Pete had to place his hands on Venice’s mouth to shut him up, “Shhhh!”

Pete and Venice couldn’t see Vegas from where they were sitting, but they knew Vegas was close.

“Oh, what’s that sound?” Vegas said, speaking loudly on purpose, clearly having heard his son’s giggle

Venice began to giggle even harder, Pete’s hands on his mouth having absolutely no effect any longer.

“I wonder where my son is,” Vegas voiced out, faking confusion, knowing exactly where they were hiding, “and I wonder where my pretty little husband is.”

Pete smiled, knowing that Vegas was taking rounds of their living room, trying to excite Venice.

They heard the footsteps getting louder towards their right, and Venice whispered into Pete’s ear with urgency, “We run out from the other side! We run to the kitchen, okay?” Pete nodded, ready to sprint.

But just as they began to move away from their hiding spot, a strong arm gripped them both. Before Pete knew what was happening, he felt himself being thrown onto Vegas’s shoulder, while Venice had been thrown onto Vegas’s other shoulder. Vegas held them tightly and ran with them toward the bedroom. Venice couldn’t stop squealing and laughing, trying to wriggle his way out of Vegas’s grip, and neither could Pete control his laughter.

“My naughty little babies,” Vegas growled and gently placed them on the bed, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

Pete and Venice both looked at each other and giggled. Pete always felt like such a child when he was with his son, always laughing.

Pete looked at Vegas, only to find that Vegas was already staring at him, his gaze being both, soft and hungry at the same time. Pete felt a shiver creep up his spine. Vegas’s gaze still had that kind of effect on him. Vegas was wearing his work attire; a white shirt with black pants and a tie.

And Pete just found it so hot. Pete gulped and stared right into Vegas’s eyes, wanting to pull him closer by tugging on his tie and bringing him down.

Control yourself, Venice is right here, Pete told himself.

The doorbell rang and Venice immediately sprang off the bed, “It must be Mill! If it’s her, I’ll leave to go down to play from there only, okay?”

“Yes,” Vegas said, breaking his eye contact with Pete. His expression had changed completely from the one he had while he was looking at Pete just a second ago. Vegas gave Venice a warm smile, “Be back in an hour, okay? And make sure to take a water bottle with you.”

“Aye Aye captain,” he laughed and ran out of the room while screaming out an excited bye.

Vegas now loomed over Pete’s body, caging Pete to the bed.

“H-hi,” Pete said, a smile playing on his lips.

“Hey baby,” Vegas said, his voice low and hoarse. In the background, they heard Venice and Mill talking and laughing together. Vegas and Pete silently waited to hear the sound of their front door shutting. The second Vegas heard the click of the door; he dove in to smash his lips against his husband’s plump red ones. They kissed and pulled away, after a whole minute of kissing, breathless.

“How was your day?” Vegas asked, before diving down to leave soft kisses across Pete’s jawline and neck.

“M-my day...,” Pete started, feeling too aroused to speak coherently, “was g-good.”

Vegas pulled away, halting his kisses so that Pete could continue. He genuinely wanted to know how Pete’s day was. He wanted to know every little thing Pete and Venice did throughout the day. He loved them, he loved them so much, it almost pained his heart.

Pete continued to tell Vegas about his day, after which Vegas told Pete about his own day, placing kisses on Pete’s lips and nose occasionally.

Pete giggled at the kiss Vegas left on his nose. Pete used Vegas’s tie to pull him down and crash their lips together again. Pete bit on Vegas’s lower lip, earning a low grunt from Vegas. Vegas was completely pressed against Pete, and Pete could feel Vegas growing harder by the second. Vegas his crotch down against Pete’s, causing Pete to moan into their kiss, himself being hard now.

“F-fuck,” Pete mewled, in the middle of their kiss. “Vegas, fuck me. Fuck me right now.”

Vegas obediently nodded, and in a matter of a few minutes, the only sounds which could be heard were their low moans, with an occasional, “f-faster, baby,” or a “baby, you take my cock so well, make me feel so good. You’re doing amazing, my sunshine, letting me fill you up entirely.”
