“Shiro did it!” They both screamed, now pointing over at the accused man instead of eachover.

“Paladins! Meet at The Bridge in approximately 3 doboshes!” Allura shouted.

Everyone groaned apart from Shiro, thinking back to when they first visited the planet. That was NOT a good time.

”The Princess is right! A Glukopian Crystal is needed to power one of our machines on board and it will not run without it!” Coran exclaimed.

”Do we all have to go? Can’t this be a solo or duo mission?” Lance groaned, hitting his head off his station.

”Nope, the planet is heavily surrounded by Galra and there’s no way only one or two of us would make it out.” Pidge informed after typing something on their computer, probably checking the planets security.

The Galra seemed to have cameras everywhere, it was kinda creepy.

"Atleast not safety." Shiro added on to Pidge's statement and got a nod in response from them.

“It’s alright buddy, I doubt you’ll be sprayed by that flower again!” Hunk comforted Lance after seeing him pout.

”I hope not!” Lance screeched, shivering at the thought.

”I smelt like nunvil for a whole week, Hunk! A whole week!”

“It wasn’t even that bad..” Coran muttered. No one appreciated the altean things aboard, well mostly. Back before the Galra attacked, nunvil cologne was quite popular.

”Oh trust me, it was bad.” Keith jumped into the conversation.

”Oh what do you know Mullet!?” Lance argued, not very happy with Keith's input in the conversation.

”Keith.” Shiro warned in his dad voice, so Lance glared at him from behind.

“What? I’m just saying.” He shrugged, smirking to himself when he practically saw steam coming out of Lance’s ears.

“That’s it!” Lance snapped, beginning to stomp over to Keith only to be held back by Hunk.

”It's not worth it man, how about we try get a new flavour of food goo?”

Lance sighed, “Fine..”

Whilst walking out he gave Keith one last glare which was soon covered by an apologetic one by Hunk.

And then, the door shut. Leaving the rest of the Paladins and Alteans to stand in silence.

“Wow.” Pidge whistled.

”What?” Keith asked curiously.

”Nothing. I just realised how easy it is to hack into the Galra’s cameras.” Pidge lied, I mean it was true but that’s not what they were referring too.

Luckily, Keith bought this lie and just hummed in response. He probably agreed too.

”Are we getting anymore information for the mission?” Shiro asked, he noticed that the alteans had stopped talking when the shouting broke out.

”No, we still have time before we get there and it is better to discuss it with everyone.”

”You can leave.” Allura nodded at the rest of them.

”I'm going to the training deck.” Keith announced, walking out of the room with no more words said.

”Those two are so blind.” Pidge muttered to themselves about Lance and Keith, they hoped one of them would break soon.

I mean, Keith’s crush is pretty obvious, though Pidge tends to notice these things a lot, maybe the others have noticed it too?

”Pidge. Go take a nap, I know you didn’t sleep and you need to get at least an hour.” Shiro stated, crossing his arms.

”Jeez, alright alright Dad.” Pidge grinned, putting both their hands up and packing their tech away.

”I’m not a dad.” Shiro grumbled, annoyedly.

”You so are!” Pidge shouted from the door.

”Pidge!”

Less than 3 Hours Before a Mission

“Keith. You need to stop tormenting Lance.” Shiro crossed his arms as he watched the other fighting the gladiator.

”What?” He breathed as he blocked another hit.

”You said you wanted to get closer to Lance.” Shiro reminded him.

”Mhm.”

“So what have you done so far?” Shiro asked, raising a brow.

”Uh..” he thought about it for a brief moment before realising it was a bad idea to stop mid battle.

”Look Shiro, can we talk about this after?” He asked, kicking the gladiator causing it to stumble.

”Keith. You keep putting this off.”

“So?” He scoffed.

”So, talk to me. I can try help.” Shiro said.

”mmm..” he thought for a moment before shaking his head and returning to the gladiator.

”What level is this on?” Keith asked, attempting to change the subject.

”Keith.” Shiro gave him a disapproving look, noticing what he was trying to do.

He knew damn well that Keith knew exactly what level he was fighting on, especially since he was talking to him. Usually he would wait until he finished a level before speaking so he wouldn’t loose focus on the higher leveled gladiator.

”End training sequence!” Shiro shouted, deciding it would be easier if Keith didn't have any distractions.

Keith swung his sword just as he shouted that, causing him to stumble forward when it hit nothing.

Keith glared at him but sighed, he knew he couldn’t avoid this for much longer.

”Fine, what?” Keith huffed, transforming his sword into the regular bayard form.

Shiro eyed him, surprised that he wasn’t trying to avoid him anymore, “Lance. What have you done to try befriend him?”

“He is my friend.” Keith frowned.

”Keith. The rivalry.” Shiro brought up, knowing Keith had a lot to say about it.

”Its just.. it’s so stupid! I don’t even know where he got the idea for a rivalry and especially between us?” Keith began.

”What have I done to upset him? I didn’t even know him until we met the night we left earth! I mean he did look familiar but that’s not the point!” Keith ranted, pacing as he did.

”What? You don’t remember him?” Shiro asked, slightly shocked. He was sure that they had met before, Keith even mentioned him to Shiro that’s the whole reason he even knew who he was at the beginning!

”Not you too.”Keith whined, it was like he was missing something.

”I’m.. confused?”

“Well so am I!” Keith huffed.

"Keith, back at the garrison you mentioned Lance to me." Shiro attempted to remind him

"No I didn't."

Shiro left it alone after that but he made a mental note to bring this up some other time with him.

The two began walking slowly towards the door to leave the training deck, making sure that nothing was left behind.

”Look Keith, maybe it’s best if you ask Lance why he started the rivalry?” Shiro suggested.

”But he hates me!” Keith puffed, crossing his arms and staring at his feet as they walked.

”No he doesn’t.” Shiro sighed, god his brother was so blind.

”Yes he does.”

”Look, I think you might just need a little.. push .”

And so, Keith stumbled forwards just as the door opened for the two of them. Shiro had pushed him!

Just as Keith braced for impact with the corridor floor he hit something… warm and soft? Kinda squishy?

The thing groaned at the sudden impact and stumbled along with him before he felt something wrap around him? It was almost like.. arms?-

Oh.

Oh no.

Next thing he knew, he was hearing a voice from above him.

”Woah, there Mullet. Looks like you’ve really fell for me this time.”

Just

His

Luck.

”Oh, uh. Sorry Lance.” He apologised, stabling himself before pushing himself off of Lance.

Keith glared over Lance’s shoulder since Shiro was casually strolling away, whistling innocently as if he had done nothing to his poor brother.

He was going to kill him later.

”Uh Keith? You alright there buddy?” Lance waved a hand in front of his eyes to catch him attention once more.

”Oh, yeah must’ve zoned out.” Keith broke out of his trance, turning to look up at Lance. His glare immediately softening as he got to look into those beautiful, ocean blue eyes.

”You sure man? You were glaring at my shoulder pretty intensely.” Lance chuckled when Keith’s cheeks reddened.

”Y-Yep, just fine.” He turned to start walking away from Lance, god could this day get any worse?

”Hey where are you going?” Lance shouted, following him.

”To Kosmo. I haven’t been with him much today so I don’t want to worry him.”

“Oh. cool, cool, cool, cool.”

Yep, that’s right Keith. Just keep walking.

”Ill join you!” Lance exclaimed, clinging to him immediately as he slipped his arm over Keith’s shoulders.

Lance loved Kosmo now.

God dammit.

-

With Kosmo

Lance gasped at the sight of Kosmo when they entered Keith’s room. Kosmo was rolled up on his bed looking adorable in all the blankets he layed in.

”Hey Kos.” Keith smiled, seeing his wolfs ears fly up when he heard his voice.

Suddenly, Keith was down on the ground with Kosmo who was sitting on top of him giving him kisses.

Keith was laughing, and boy was it a beautiful sound.

Wait what?

He did NOT just call Keith beautiful, did he?

No, of course not.

He just called his laugh beautiful!

...

That's not any better, is it?

”I know, I know.” Keith laughed.

“I missed you too bud.”

Lance watched the interaction between the two, the sides of his mouth twitching slightly and forming into a shy smile.

There was a loud bang.

Next thing he knew, he was on the floor along with Keith.

As Kosmo had decided to bring him down as soon as he noticed he was just standing there and once he had given his owner enough love.

”Aww! Hi Kosmo!” Lance ruffled Kosmo’s fur and patted him on the head.

”Who’s a good space wolf? You are! Yes you are!” Lance exclaimed in a high pitched voice, giving Kosmo all the attention he possibly could.

”He seems to like you a lot.” Keith chuckled.

Oh yeah.

Keith’s here too.

”Jealous?” Lance smirked looking at him while Kosmo layed on top of him, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

”No” Keith huffed, looking away from him.

”You so are!” Lance smirked.

”I’m not! You were scared of Kosmo when you last saw him so I’m surprised.”

“How could I be scared of this sweet little boy!” Lance replied in his baby voice, wrapping his arms around the wolf.

Keith snorted at the word "little." If anything Keith would describe him as the opposite of little.

Kosmo barked happily, Lance smiled thinking he was his favourite.

”I’m his favourite.” He grinned.

”You sure?” Keith raised a brow at him.

”Uh, yes!” Lance motioned at the dog.

”He’s just cuddly.” Keith shrugged, standing up finally.

”I’m still his favourite!” Lance exclaimed.

All of a sudden, a whistle came from above him as well as a clicking noise and then, the weight from atop of him, disappeared.

Lance looked up in surprise, and noticed exactly what had happened.

Keith had done some weird calling thing to get Kosmo away from him.

That cheater!

”That's cheating!” Lance pouted.

”Never set any rules.” Keith smirked, patting Kosmo on the head saying “good boy.”

”That’s it! You are about to-“ Lance stood up, walking towards Keith but before he could finish his sentence he tripped over something. That had caused him to fall right onto Keith and now, he had pinned him to the wall.

”Uh.” Keith face turned red at the sudden closeness.

Lance froze, noticing just how close their faces were and tried to jump away but something was behind him, forcing his legs and the rest of his body to stay in his current position.

”What the-“ Lance turned his head, looking down to find the culprit and he had found it.

Kosmo.

”Kosmo!” Lance shouted, hoping to catch his attention but Kosmo only seemed to push him closer causing his to get right up into Keith’s space.

”Keith, I need you to tell your wolf to move.” Their noses were touching now, this was WAY too close for comfort.

Keith stayed frozen which made Lance have to shout right in his ear to catch his attention, even if they were literally staring into each overs eyes right now.

”Keith!” He shouted.

Luckily, that snapped a Keith out of it and soon he did the call and shouted to Kosmo,

”Kosmo! Off Lance.” He practically growled it, actually no. He did growl it. Like he literally growled!

Lance heard a whine behind him but before he could step back he was pushed even closer causing him to loose balance and this time,

Their lips touched.

Oh god,

They were kissing!

And then he was able to step back, away from Keith.

”Keith, I did not mean to do that I swear.” Lance shook his hands around, panicking thinking about what had just happened.

Both of their faces were as red as the red lion and Keith could hear her laughing.

’Shut up’ Keith grumbled to her which only caused her to laugh more. He regreted telling both her and Kosmo everything.

“Its, uh fine. Not your fault.” Keith coughed.

Lance is a good kisser..

”Yep! Uh, I’m going to just.. go see Hunk! Yeah, I promised him I would cook with him today.” Lance created an excuse.

”Oh, okay.”

“Yeah, uhm. Cya!” Lance raced out of the room.

He HAS to talk with Hunk about this.

Keith let out a breath of relief and turned to Kosmo.

“I regret telling you anything.” That only received an adorable tilted head from Kosmo who acted like he had no clue what he was saying.

”I know you understand me, and red stop laughing!” Keith growled aloud again, crossing his arms and pouting afterwards.

God what had he gotten himself into. Actually, no. What had Shiro gotten him into?! How could his own brother do this to him?

Wait a second

He had just KISSED Lance!

Oh no..

Preparing for a mission

“Alright team! We don’t have much to go off of as the castle doesn’t have much information about Planet Gulkop so we need to pack some things.” Shiro stated.

”I agree Shiro, it will be best to bring some food goo along with some water in case something happens.” Allura nodded.

”You must also be ready to go into battle!” Coran exclaimed, bringing in packets of food goo for the team.

”Coran! Can I scan to see how many life forms are on this planet?” Pidge asked, already having their computer out and ready to type away.

”I don’t see why not!” Coran said.

”Hey Lance, you doing alright buddy? You’re really quiet.” Hunk nudged his shoulder, catching his attention.

”Of course man! Why wouldn’t I be alright?” Lance grinned at him. He hadn’t gotten the chance to talk with him yet as an announcement was cast as soon as he had left Keith’s room.

That meant they had to see eachover a lot sooner than they were expecting.

”Lance talk to me.” Hunk crossed his arms, Lance sighed knowing that Hunk saw through what he was trying to hide.

”Not here,I’ll tell you over private call in the lions.” Lance grinned at him so if anyone was looking, they wouldn’t get too suspicious.

”You better Lance.”

“Hunk! I could use your help.” Keith shouted over to him while carrying a crate of supplies.

Oh god.

Dontlookdontlookdontlook-

Lance glanced over to where the voice came from and soon his gaze met Keith’s. He immediately looked away from him and looked down at the floor.

Shit I looked.

”Coming!” Hunk shouted over to Keith.

”Remember Lance, as soon as we get into our lions.” Hunk reminded.

”As soon as we get into our lions.” Lance repeated to him, showing that he understood.

As Hunk ran over to Keith to help him with crates he decided to look over once more, this time not meeting Keith’s gaze.

‘Why is he acting like nothing happened?’ Lance thought to himself.

Maybe he really is making a bigger deal out of this than it has to be.

I mean, it looks as if he wasn’t even affected by what happened in his room.

Whatever, he may as well go talk about the mission with Pidge, Shiro and the Alteans.

-

“What the hell did Coran pack in these crates?” Keith asked himself.

At this rate he wasn’t going to get everything set up in time.

Maybe he should ask for help? But Shiro’s busy discussing with Allura about the mission, Pidge is with Coran and they’re both looking at Pidge’s laptop so that’s a no.

Over at the left Hunk and Lance were talking though? Surely one of them would help right?

Maybe it’s best to ask Hunk, I mean Lance still looks pretty freaked out about what happened, I mean I am too but it wasn’t his fault it happened! I just wish he could have done it willingly..

“Hunk! I could use your help.” He shouted, stopping the conversation between Hunk and Lance.

He looked over to Lance only to notice that he was looking right at him?

As soon as their eyes met Lance looked away, causing Keith to pout slightly.

Yep, still freaked out.

”Coming!” Hunk shouted back at him.

Finally, someone can help him. He breathed a sigh of relief.

He noticed that Lance was now looking down at the floor, clearly trying to avoid his gaze which made him a little upset but it’s understandable. He is straight after all so it makes sense that he was made really uncomfortable.

Hunk said something to Lance right before he left, want to know how Keith knew? Lance actually looked up at him and gave Hunk a salute.

”Hey buddy! Woah, you’ve been trying to carry all of these?”

“Yeah, I don’t know what Coran packed but they’re definitely heavy.” Keith sighed, placing down his current crate to give his arms a break.

Sure he was strong but it’s almost like Coran put a million pounds of weight in these! Okay maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration but still. It’s heavy.

”Well I’ll help! It’s be much quicker with us two!” Hunk exclaimed, walking out of the door to collect more crates from the hanger.

”Thanks Hunk.” Keith smiled, following him out after dumping one of the crates in The Bridge.

“That’s what friends are for!” Hunk grinned, trying to pick up a crate once they got to the hanger.

”You’ve been carrying these?!” Hunk cried.

”Uh, yeah.” Keith tilted his head, confused at the reaction. He knew the crates were heavy but he expected Hunk to be able to pick them up? He’s honestly really strong.

”Keith! These are way too heavy for even me to carry, how have you even lifted it off the ground?” Hunk questioned, impressed at his strength.

”Huh? What do you mean?” Keith asked.

”Keith, buddy. Lift up that crate.” Hunk said, about to prove his own strength to him.

”Alright.” Keith walked over to the crate and picked it up, it took a bit of time before he comfortably held the heavy box in his arms.

”Now, watch me.” Hunk did the exact thing as him however, he couldn’t lift it up?

”They’re too heavy for me man.” Hunk gave up.

”But I thought you were extremely strong?”

“Apparently, not as strong as you!” Hunk was amazed, wow he knew Keith trained a lot but these boxes? It felt like it was impossible to lift!

”You could use the lifter in the corner if you want? I don’t because it’s slow but if it’ll help then?” Keith suggested.

”THERES A LIFTER AND YOURE USING YOUR ARMS?!” Hunk shouted.

”It’s too slow!” Keith almost dropped his box when he argued back. Walking out of the hanger, he carried the box all the way back to The Bridge.

God this box was heavy, he can’t wait to drop it as soon as he gets in.

‘Maybe it would be better if he pushed it? Oh well, it’s a bit late now.’ Keith thought to himself.

Keith entered The Bridge to see everyone talking in a group, apart from Pidge who was typing away at their computer, probably finding more information about the mission.

They were all talking next to the stack of crates that he had brought in earlier so he just did the exact same thing as before so he plopped it down and it created a loud bang. He wasn’t exactly expecting a surprised shriek right in his ear.

He turned at the noise and just like earlier, Lance had fallen right onto him.

However, this time there was no wall so he just made them both tumble into a bunch of crates.

Once more their noses were touching however they didn’t kiss unlike last time so that was a relief. Especially in front of the team it would have been bad if they kissed right in front of them.

Oh shit the team.

“Uh, Lance?” Keith said, trying to catch Lances attention.

”Oh, hey again Mullet,” Lance smiled at him, though it was clear that he was uncomfortable.

”There’s no wolf blocking you this time, y’know.” Keith brought up, hoping he would catch the hint and back away.

The last thing Keith wanted to do was make Lance uncomfortable. I mean, his eyes showed a clear apology directed at him and his face was- oh he’s red.

He’s REALLY red.

Was that because Lance was embarrassed or was it-

No, he can’t gets his hopes up.

Wait a second, if Lance is that red then how red is he?

Shit.

”I made it! Keith I got the crate- oh god what have I walked in on.” Hunk announced from the door, his happy expression soon turning into a shocked one on the lifting machine.

Double Shit.

Click

Lance and Keith both turned at the sound of what could have been a camera?

Of course, they were faced with Pidge holding the Altean hologram version of a camera. Just their luck.

“Blackmail is so easy to get with you two.” Pidge smirked at them, bolting out of the room before Lance could get to them.

Great.

Suddenly Lance was off him and he was bolting after a screaming Pidge while shouting what sounded like extremely angry and jumbled up English. Some Spanish may have ended up in there too.

Well, there’s one problem solved. Now all he has to do is stand up properly and walk away from the huge group of people.

Easy Peasy.

That is until your brother stops you with a hand on your shoulder.

”We need to talk.”

How much worse can today get?

“Hunk! I need help with these guys!” Lance exclaimed, avoiding the shots of a few ships rushing towards him.

”On it!” Hunk turned Yellow around and helped him.

”Pidge status report!” Shiro shouted over the intercoms.

”According to my calculations, the warship's primary attack laser is worn out, with only 36% power remaining!” They exclaimed after some typing.

”Alright team keep your focus on the laser! Keith any luck with the crystal?”

“Roger that Shiro!” Lance saluted, turning his lion and helping destroy the laser along with the rest of them.

”No luck yet. I might need some backup, I don’t think I can manage all these soldiers.” Keith replied, grunting as he finished off a soldier.

”Lance, you go down there are help Keith!” Shiro ordered.

“Okay, Hunk watch my back!” The last thing Lance wanted was to crash into the site of the crystals.

”You got it!” Hunk nodded.

”Pidge! Cover me, I need to get Black closer!” Shiro shouted.

”Aye aye Space Dad!” They replied, continuing to shoot the laser but keeping an eye out for any Galra.

Keith snorted but Shiro just sighed knowing that they wouldn't be stopping anytime soon.

Lance tuned out the rest of their voices and opened a call between just him and Keith, they had to work together on this one and there was no more avoiding eachover.

When Keith answered Lance was still hearing the sounds of the annoyed grunts and sword slashes against the soldiers armour.

”How you holding up?” Lance asked him.

”How close are you?” Is the first thing Keith says. Lance can hear his heavy breathing.

Lance switched back to the team comms and asked Pidge to send him Keith’s location and a map of the place so he could find him quicker.

”Pidge! I’m going to need Keith’s location and a map.” Lance informed them, he heard their typing through the comm and thanked them when it was sent through.

”Sent!” They told him.

”You’re the best gremlin!” Lance grinned, leaving the comm once more to join the private one which Keith surprisingly, hadn’t left.

”According to what Pidge sent me, I’m about 4 minutes away!” Lance informed.

Keith hummed which told him that he heard what he said.

“Be fast.” Keith said, slashing another enemy. Shots were heard in the background which meant that Keith most definetly wasn't alone and won't be anytime soon.

”Ill try, I’ve got a map of the place to find the crystals faster.”

“Good.” Keith answered, he was keeping all of his answers as short as possible so he could focus on the battle he was in.

Lance flew Blue as fast as he could and landed before sprinting out and tracking Keith so he could find him.

Then he saw him.

Keith was covered in blood, whether it was his own of the soldiers Lance rushed over to make sure he was okay.

”Keith! Mullet, are you alright?” Lance cupped his cheek, checking for injuries. He was too worried to focus on how intimate that gesture could seem.

“Just fine Lance.” Keith croaked out, his voice was raspy and not the usual raspy as it had a hint of pain in it.

”Where are you hurt?” Lance asked, hoping Keith wouldn’t be stubborn and just tell him.

”Lance, don’t focus on me. You need to finish them off.” Keith winced after his sentence, it was clear he was in pain.

”There’s blood all over you! Tell me where you’re hurt!” Lance exclaimed, blocking some  shots that came their way with his shield.

”Behind you!” Keith shouted, pushing him out of the way and stabbing the druid.

Keith fell over instantly after killing them. Luckily, Lance managed to catch him in his arms just in time before he hit the solid rock below them.

”Keith! Stay with me Samurai.” Lance put all of Keith’s weight against him so he could check for any wounds.

”Lance, the crystal..” Keith winced when Lance found the wound, Lance had hovered his fingers right over it.

”We’ll worry about that later, for now you need to at least get bandaged up.”

Lance picked Keith up bridal style and ran with his shield out, hoping to block any shots coming his way. As he ran he informed both the team and The Castle of their current situation and Keith’s injury.

”Guys, bad news. Keith’s injured but I’m taking him to red since he has bandages there.” Lance spoke.

”Is he alright?” Both Allura and Shiro asked with worry laced in their voices.

”Is he okay?” Hunk cried.

”He’s… he will be.” I hope. Lance decided to say that instead, he didn’t want to lie to them seeing as Keith was literally bleeding out. After all a pod should heal him.

He'll probably have some badass scar after it though. That was inevitable.

”Did you get the crystal my boy?” Coran asked.

”No, my priority is getting Keith bandaged up and then I’ll search for it.” Lance replied, huffing at the lack of air after running.

He had to atleast try and stop the bleeding as well as possible to stop him from loosing way too much.

He was almost at the red lion, he just hoped that she would let him in.

”I’m done with the fleet that was after me, I can collect them?” Hunk suggested.

”If you’re going, go now. The rest of the Galra are distracted up here so you should be able to get down their without being noticed or followed.” Pidge informed.

”Thanks Pidge, I’ll go now!” Hunk turned Yellow around and began flying towards the planet.

”Careful dude, I didn’t kill all the druids so there'll be more as you get closer to the crystal site!” Lance told him.

"Roger that!" Hunk saluted, diving down to land on the planet.

Luckily for him, red let him in and heard her purring throughout the lion. Lance grabbed the bandages on the shelf and ran over to Keith who had been placed down on the pilot seat.

”You’ll be alright Samurai.”

“You’re doing great.” Lance mumbled to Keith, at this point Keith’s eyes were drooping which showed that he was clearly tired and ready to pass out.

”Such a good boyfriend.” Pidge whispered loudly over the comms, causing Lance to blush but he tried to ignore it as much as he possibly could as he knew it was not the time to get distracted.

Note to self, mute so that the gremlin doesn't hear you.

”Urhh.” Keith groaned as Lance cleaned the wound as best as he could.

”Oh no, don’t you close your eyes on me mullet!” Lance exclaimed angrily at Keith when he noticed his eyes almost shut.

”I just landed! I’m heading to the crystal site!” Hunk exclaimed.

”Be quick Hunk! We don’t know how many more hits the castle can take!” Allura shouted, somehow The Castle had kept their particle barrier up and it hadn’t fallen yet but as soon as it does they’ll be in trouble.

“Lance?..” Keith mumbled looking up at him.

”Stay with me Keith.” Lance said.

”Lance, I-“ Keith began, eyes beginning to twitch shut.

“How many crystals do we need?!” Hunk shouted urgently over the comms.

”Just one will do!” Coran informed.

”Got it! I’m heading back now.” Hunk reported back to the team.

“Keith? Keith! Stay with me man, you can stay awake for a bit longer I know you can.” Lance encouraged.

”My boy! Will Keith require a pod?” Coran asked, slightly out of breath.

”Yes!” Lance shouted in response.

”Coran! Go prepare a pod, I’ll handle the rest from now on.” Allura told him.

”On it Princess!” Coran exclaimed.

”Lance.. I-“ Keith tried.

”Keith, mullet stay with me.” Lance told him, the mission is almost over and they’ll be back at the castle in no time Keith just has to hold on.

”Lance, I- ..-uo” Keith smiled at him, probably thinking he said a full sentence too but he had really just left Lance with a whole lot of confusion.

Lance checked to make sure he was out.

”Keith?” Lance said worriedly.

”Mullet? Samari?” Nothing.

”Coran! I’m going to need a pod STAT!” Lance shouted.

You’re going to be alright Keith.

I know you will.
