Lloyd woke up, blinking lazily. Instantly, he flinched, looking at his surroundings.
He sighed. Right. Ninja headquarters.
Raising and eyebrow he sat up and looked around. Lloyd's blonde mop of hair reaching down his head. His bowl cut was messed up, but Lloyd could care less.
He reached the covers, shifting them off of him and standing up while stretching. The blonde walked to the opened door frame and looked out, the orange-yellow sun hitting his eyes. Walking down the stairs, he instantly noticed Kai; who was training.
He was punching the punching bag a little too hard.
Lloyd shouldn't pry, considering all of them were threats and he'd just met them. The smart option would be to just turn back around.
But Lloyd wasn't smart, so he continued walking forwards to the red clad teen.
"Hey Kai!" He said like they'd been living together for all their lives. Kai looked over, the swinging punching bag hitting the side of his head comically. The brunette didn't fall, which Lloyd was glad. Lloyd probably would've been dead if he did.
"Agh! What?" He replied annoyedly, rubbing his head. Lloyd continued to walk forward until he stood in front of Kai.
"Why are you so sensitive?" Lloyd retorted.
"What? I'm not sensitive." Kai spat back. Lloyd tilted his head, much like a cat.
"Then what would you call it? You get offended easily, and you close everyone off when angry. You just have too much pride to cry, don't you?" Lloyd said with a sassy smile at the end.
Kai's eyes widened and he looked away. "I'm a little sensitive, but I don't have too much pride to cry. I'll cry if I want to, and don't when I don't want to." Lloyd rolled his eyes, giving up. The teen was so stubborn, there was no getting through him.
"Just think about this-- communicating- uh, telling someone that you're angry and don't want to bothered might be better than letting them guess."
Kai looked back, nodding a silent understanding before turning back to the punching bag.
Lloyd walked away, trying to find anything to do. He wandered for a moment, looking in a large room that had a table in the middle, and connected to another room. He walked towards the sliding door and slid it open, noticing a tall blonde with a pink apron. Lloyd tilted his head, walking inside.
"Hello Lloyd. What can I do for you?" He said without even turning around. It kinda freaked Lloyd out but he forced himself to keep his body in one peice.
"Hi Zane. Watcha cooking?"
Zane hummed a tone, continuing to work over the stove. "Hashbrowns, eggs, and some toast. I am trying to switch it up, but there are not lots of breakfast foods."
"Zane, it seems like you do alot around here. Why not take a break? Let them make their own breakfast."
Zane turned around, raising an eyebrow unenthusiastically. Lloyd instantly took in what the teen was implying. "Oh- okay, well, I mean like Cereal. Oatmeal. Something simple, y'know? Give yourself a break. You don't have to do everything."
Zane turned back, humming his tone again. "I'll try it tomorrow, but for today I will cook. I would feel bad to throw away this food that I have already started cooking." Lloyd nodded.
"I'm sure it'll taste great! Bye Zane!"
"Goodbye Lloyd."
Lloyd swore he could hear the smile in Zane's voice.
Deciding to keep pondering around, Lloyd could hear the sound of a torch. Not like the British word for a flashlight, but like-- a torch. He couldn't really explain it.
Lloyd practically played Marco Polo with the sound for 10 minutes straight before he stopped in front of a room. Instantly, he could tell the sound was coming from there. Curious, Lloyd knocked. The sound instantly stopped, and shuffling could be heard before the door opened.
Huh? It was-
"Jay? What are you doing? And what is that noise?" Lloyd questioned. Jay shook his head. "Nothing." He replied, walking back over to a bunk bed. "Jay. What was it?"
"Lloyd, just drop it." Jay said.
"You should know I don't give in just like that. In case you haven't noticed, I'm Garmadon's son." Jay chuckled at that. Lloyd smiled also.
"You seemed to give in pretty easily when Pythor left you-"
"ooOOOOKAY- you're changing the topic-!" Lloyd said embarrassedly.
"So, what was it?" Lloyd changed to a more serious tone, though mentally he still laughed from the other conversation.
Jays lips trembeled a little, as if the truth was on his tongue, yet a lie was desperate to come out.
"I...." Jay looked around, then his face shifted to as if he had a light bulb on his head. "I was... Trying to.. Burn myself?" He asked as if it were a question. Lloyd's head tilted. Jay was this nervous to tell him that? In his boarding school, it was normal for pranks to include burning.
But seeing Jay's face, he guessed this was much more serious. Lloyd, though, was out of words, so he said the first thing that came to mind.
"Uh- uh- that's unfortunate?" Oh god that was terrible. Lloyd mental slapped himself for that reply.
Jay shrugged. "It's nothing you'd understand. You're a kid, and you don't need to know anything about it, okay?" Lloyd nodded, though still understanding the sad smile on his face. "Alright then. Bye!" Lloyd waved off and closed the room door.
Not even two seconds later did he hear shuffling again, and about 12 feet from the door the sound started again.
Lloyd sighed.
He made his way down the hall, the last room he didn't check. It was quite a large room with a couch, and a TV. He walked around to sit on the couch, when he saw a ravenette on the couch-- asleep. Lloyd argued with himself to debate whether he should jump onto him, or shake him awake.
Eh..
"CANONBALL!" Lloyd yelled out, jumping onto a sleeping Cole. Cole yelped as the weight knocked into him. "God- Lloyd!" He faked saying annoyedly, yet there was a humorous glance in his eyes.
"Hey! Lloyd, want to play FTF2?" Lloyd shook his head. "What- what is that?"
Cole groaned. "Fsm, you have no childhood. Fist to Face 2!" Lloyd tilted his head. "Uh- sure- sure." Cole bursted with energy, despite being asleep less than a minute ago. "Alright! I'll go get everyone else!" and at that, he bolted away
About 5 minutes later did Cole return with everyone else he's seen today. "Someone has to give up their controller for Lloyd." Cole said, flopping onto the couch. "Well, since you suggested it, I think you should do it, Cole." Cole smiled.
"You thought I would be sad by that, but actually this is an opportunity to teach Lloyd."
"Wow.. Using your brain for once hm?" Jay teased. They all laughed along and Cole flushed. "Let's just start the game." Everyone silently agreed and sat down on the couch, grabbing their controllers.
Lloyd sat in the middle of them, smiling as Cole handed him a controller.
Wu wondered the halls, peeking into the Ninja's room. He raised an eyebrow when they weren't there. He peered around every corner to look for them. The sensei suddenly heard cries of victory in the air.
"No- Lloyd! Like this-"
"No-No-No-NoNO NO NO!"
"OH YOU FU-"
Wu opened the door, noticing the back of 4 sprawls of hair. He guessed Lloyd was too short for him to see. The black hair began to lean down before it disappeared.
"You did so good Lloyd!" He yelled excitedly.
Wu smiled.
Wu worried for too long the 5 would never get along, and today, that changed.
Now, there were 6.
