So stoic and composed Alec thought he was unbreakable emotionally until he met the High Warlock of Brooklyn, Magnus Bane. One look from him was enough to get Alec on his knees for the art of a man that was standing before him. Before he knew it, he was smiling whenever he thought about the Magnus. He never knew that meeting this one man could turn his world upside down. Even though they had met each other for a brief time, Alex couldn't get the man out of his head. The way his eyes crinkled when smiling, the way his lips were plump and glossy, his bronze skin which shone like gold. He thought to himself about how a man like this could exist. Every time they came across each other, Alec felt his breath hitch, the world slow down and the only thing he could see clearly amongst his blurry vision was the one and only Magnus Bane.
He can't fall in love with him yet he was all which occupied his head. He felt like their connection was forbidden. Every time Magnus smiled at him, every time he looked at him with his doe eyes, it felt like an electric shock ran through him. He was quite nice at masking his feelings towards Magnus until he wasn't. Standing in the aisle and seeing Magnus heartbroken was his last straw as he swooped him up in his arms and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. He didn't know where this will lead to but he was up to the trouble. Magnus was irresistible, so addictive. He was so perfect inside out that his imperfections were beautiful too. "Alexander" only sounded good whenever Magnus uttered it. Though they had trials and tribulations throughout their relationships, Alec never wanted to leave Magnus's side. When Magnus's father wanted him out of his son's life, it felt like his world was shattered. He felt like he would do anything to get Magnus back because Magnus now felt like a part of him, he could never live without him. He felt hard breathing without Magnus by his side. He wanted, no, needed him.
When Magnus ascended to put the evil to sleep, Alec felt scared, more scared than losing his parabatai, because Magnus, as he knew, was a major part of him. He wanted to grow old and grey with Magnus even if Magnus didn't possess the ability to be mortal, he wanted to grow a family with him, he could even marry him with paper rings but at that moment, he wanted Magnus to come back and lay on his arms safe and sound. He wanted to feel the calm breaths of the man he loved again, no magic could make Alec feel the same way that Magnus did.
Once the wrath of the evil was over, Alec was able to breathe again. He felt overwhelmed with joy that he could finally be wedded to his partner and his only love, Magnus. Alec never understood the Bane part of his name as Magnus wasn't a bane, he was a boon crafted by the Angels themselves, it didn't matter that his blood was infused with demon blood. If he had a chance, he would steal every single rose from this whole world and above only to give it to his love. When the ring slid into his finger, he felt like he was the luckiest man to ever live. They were finally together and not apart, only this time they weren't wedded by paper rings in Alec's imagination but, shiny and silver rings carved with love which indicated their forever.
