Chapter Text
He gave a flourish of a bow as vines and flowers began to bloom and curl up the doorframe he stood in, “I am Olivier Lavigne and I am your Dorm Superior.”
He stood straighter and looked around, “Now as you are all well aware, we have a new student joining our dorm this year. Everyone please welcome Harry Chang, he will be joining those in the Cascade Room. I expect you all to give him a warm welcome and help him with whatever he needs. Now. As we do have someone new I will go ahead and go over the rules of the dorm.”
Harry watched curiously and flushed a little when several glanced at his direction but made sure to keep his attention mostly on the Fae as he began to speak about the rules of the dorm.
“As most of you know we are a Hive Building so please make sure to have all visitors logged in and approved through me. Please keep all food and other items in your dorm or the main area. No food is allowed in the gaming room.” He looked at one of the boys in the back pointedly, “Our dorm has its own private greenhouse, if you need access to it then come get the key from me. No fighting in the dorm. Other than that try to get along and be sure that if you have any problems do not hesitate to come to me.” He grinned and clapped his hands together, “Let's head to the assembly!”
----------
Harry groaned as he stepped out into the large central auditorium. The whole school, while smaller than Hogwarts, was so spread out that it was hard to memorize and get around at times. Now with the assembly was over he was ready to retire for the day and hide away from everyone. Even though he wanted to see his brothers. He hadn’t seen them yet at all but he knew they were fine. They would have found a way to contact him if they needed to.
“Oh what a cute dog, can I pet him!”
Harry turned as a younger girl stepped up and reached a hand out to Yasu. “Oh uhm, well I’m not sure he will let you? Please be careful.” He flushed a little and gripped the harness a bit tighter.
“What are you doing can't you tell he is a service familiar. You can't just touch him.” a voice snapped out from behind him.
The girl jerked her hand back and glared, “Shut up Adrian, what do you know?”
Adrian stepped up beside Harry, “He is my roommate so I do know. What are you doing here Amelia. Shouldn’t you be with Andrew or Altair?”
The girl sneered, a small fang peeking out, “what the fuck do you know black blood. You shouldn’t talk to me like that. Father will have your head.”
Harry looked between the two, they did look a little similar and the way they spoke made Harry think they knew each other. No wait she had said Father. So they were related. Right?
Adrian rolled his eyes, “Then tell father I have been a bad childe, see if I care. Now what do you want Amelia?”
“Just saying hello to the new boy is all. He seems interesting and his puppy is adorable. I wonder if Father will get me one.”
Harry cleared his throat, “My name is Harry and this is Yasu but Adrian is right. I would rather Yasu was left alone. He is my familiar. Do you two know each other?”
The girl grinned brightly, “He is my little brother for whatever that is worth.”
Green eyes narrowed on her, “what is that supposed to mean?”
“Forget it Harry, it isn’t worth our time. I see your brothers. You should go see them.” Adrian set a hand on his shoulder to steer him away.
“But what she said.”
“Doesn’t matter. Please. I rather not talk about it here out in the open. Please, just go to your brother's. They look like they are about to come over here and pull you away.” He interrupted while softly nudging Harry towards his relatives.
Harry looked over and saw his brothers glancing over at him, he smiled and waved before looking at Adrian one more time and making sure he was alright before going over to the others and smiling, “Hey.”
Hibiki grinned and pulled him close and tucked him into his side, “Hey there Little Feather. We saw you had company and we were not sure if we should go over or let you handle it.”
“No things were fine. I think she was going after Adrian more than me. She called him something and it didn’t sound nice.”
Aki stepped closer, “Well they are both in the same clan so it is best to not get involved. See the crest they both wear. That is the Crest of Havok.” He pulled Harry from Hibiki and hugged him tightly, pressing their foreheads together lovingly. “I tried to stop by this morning but your Dorm Superior would not let me in.”
Harry laughed and nuzzled into the hug happily, “Yeah, I have to get guests approved with him. Oh! It is the fae we met at the market. The one that gave me the flower. It is the same one.”
Hibiki laughed, “He probably knew you would be in his dorm and gave you the blessing as a welcome. Fae are very serious about who they look over and protect.”
“Yeah, he seemed nice. I am hoping to talk to him today to get you both added to the approved visitor list. But I am not sure when I will be able to. There is the orientation still and the first home room. Then the meet and greet for Transfers.”
Aki laughed, “We have a similar schedule. It is going to be a busy day and we can't join you for a couple of them but you will be fine. Look at you already making friends and handling yourself.”
Hibiki nodded, “How are your roommates coming along? They nice?”
The youngest tilted his head, “Yeah they are pretty cool. Aarav made us breakfast. He is a good cook. A couple years older than me, they both are but I guess that is common with creature blooded?”
Hibiki nodded and led the other towards the direction of the mess hall so they could all get food. “You will flourish here I think Harry. To the home room we go.”
The younger laughed and hooked arms with both his brothers and they walked along the school. Harry got to meet a few of the other people that hung around the school. Including the other Tengu that were from different nests. They took him under their wing almost immediately. All day if he wasn’t near his brother another Tengu was close by and watching. It freaked him out at first but they didn’t bother him unless they noticed a problem which, luckily for him, was rare. He just knew this was the right place for him.
