Summary
Ever since olden times, our village has had a contract with the clan of the mountain gods. The laws of nature dictate that only boys can be born to them, and there are no women. So in order to maintain their clan, they take as wives girls from our village. There, they become loving wives of the mountain gods, look after their homes, feed them, bring up their kiddies, and of course, keep an eye on our village, too. They say these used to be wild, barren lands long ago, but now that’s something of the past. In our village, there’s food even during the driest years, and that’s all thanks to our wonderful godly wives and the gratitude of their husbands towards their in-laws.
