Sokka leaned in close to rest his cheek to Zuko's scarred one. Hands swept over ivory skin and dark locks as Sokka mapped Zuko with his palms.
"Tell me." Sokka whispered. Zuko shivered as Sokka nibbled at his ear, "Tell me, what does it take to bring a god to their knees?"
Zuko gave a harsh gasp and finally snapped. He tackled Sokka into their bedding, pinning wrists to the sheets and ravishing Sokka's mouth with his own.
"You." Zuko panted, before once more kissing Sokka within an inch of his frail, mortal life.
"Oh, how flattering. Am I that special to you?" Sokka couldn't help but tease. However, Zuko's grip became tense and he shook his head. He placed some space between them, his golden stare intense as he held Sokka's face between his palms.
"You humans never understand. You don't understand." Zuko breathed as he trailed sweet, featherlight kisses over Sokka's forehead and cheeks.
"There is a reason the gods treat mortals the way they do," Zuko continued, dragging his lips towards Sokka's earlobe, "That's because the weakness of the gods," Zuko whispered, "is humanity."
Zuko gave a light bite to Sokka's ear, and Sokka gasped as his body jerked, his breathing erratic from the intense feeling of pleasure and shock alike. But before Sokka could say anything to maybe slow down or catch his breath, despite that being the very last thing Sokka wanted, Zuko continued, pressing his thighs under Sokka's to slot himself perfectly between his legs.
"The gods," Zuko continued as he started moving his hips slowly, lazily, "may have power over your domain. Your skies, your fields, your oceans." Zuko stated, giving a harder thrust with each item listed. Sokka felt himself burning.
"But you," Zuko exhaled, nosing Sokka's hairline, "There is nothing we can do to truly control your hearts. That is why the gods act the way they do. They try to vy for your praise, your tributes, your adoration."
Zuko raised his head, his molten stare burning, burning, burning into Sokka's expansive blue. "We live to be worshipped, because without it, there is no point in creation. But very few humans truly believe in those they lay tribute for, yet we still crave your loyalty."
Sokka's breath shook as Zuko stared, stone faced, and serious, "So when we come across a mortal that seeks to worship," Zuko whispered, slowly dragging warm palms over Sokka's ribs, "When we find one that wishes to lay themselves exposed and vulnerable before us," Zuko continued, pulling Sokka closer to come chest to chest, "When we find a being that truly desires to love us." Zuko hissed as he pressed himself as closely to Sokka as possible, skin to skin, until there was no space left between them.
Zuko panted, his breath just as shaky as Sokka's. That is, until Zuko gave a slow, hard grind, his hard-on dragging tantalizing against Sokka's own. Blunt nails dragged down Sokka's back. The air caught in his lungs. He could do nothing but wrap his arms around Zuko's heaving shoulders in an attempt to hold on lest he be pulled apart by Zuko's intensity. Sokka felt like he would implode at any moment- putty within his god's warm, tender embrace.
"Oh, how I adore you." Zuko whispered, "Oh, how I love you."
Sokka keened .
"What brings a god to their knees?" Zuko rasped, continuing to drag his fingers down gooseflesh and tantalizing warm skin.
Zuko lifted his head and Sokka was once again met with mesmerizing golden eyes.
"The love of a human. Simple and unending. That is what is, has been, and will forever be the gods' downfall."
With that, Zuko let himself melt, and Sokka, chest heavy and head swimming with emotion, let himself float.
