Chapter Text
Kevin looked at Jeremy, wordlessly asking if he enquired the wrong thing. Jeremy lifted his shoulders indicating he didn’t know before gesturing to Kevin, he was going to tell Percy. Swerving his head, he faced Percy and told him in bewilderment.
“Well, she said she had gotten this island with a deal. She promised Lord Poseidon to not go after his son.”
They watched Percy, whom they assumed just realized something attentively. It was amusing to see Percy turned from dumbfounded to annoyance in a mere second. They could hear him scoffed before mumbling under nonsense (they could not hear what it was, but they thought it were curses) his breath.
“Don’t listen to her. This island is mine. I think that Dad just let her borrow, not own. That’s why I can find this island whenever I want. I just can’t not believe it that I was part of the deal.”
Jeremy stared at Percy in surprise. This island was his? The part that Aphrodite just borrows this island shocked him the most. Who would think that Percy was close with Lady Aphrodite? Percy looked so smug after he said that. Kevin, his beloved saves his life by questioning Percy. Even his voice still filled with shock.
“Whoa, Percy. Hold on. You just said that your DAD gave you this island. Who is your dad? And, how you owned this island?”
Percy looked at them with his eyebrow raised, clearly amused with their reaction. Spinning his ballpoint pen with his fingers, he told them what they wanted with a very bored and dismissing tone.
“Yeah, my dad. Poseidon is my dad, and he gave me this island for my eighteenth birthday as a place that I can go to if I want to escape from anything, away from everyone.”
Watching their expressions was amusing and certainly entertained his day. He should do it again if he was feeling down someday. His face softened when thinking about them. They were nice and kind. It was a shame that the immortals messed their lives. They did nothing to them, yet they got the impact of it. He would help them solve their problems. They were friends and Percy always help a friend.
Friend. It was heard right in his ears. Yes, he would like to be their friend. He would protect them just as he protected his family and his other friends.
Leaning closer to them, Percy asked with a low voice before curling his mouth into a smirk, thinking what he would tell them.
“Do you guys want to hear something?”

A shudder ran through her spine, making her hugged herself. She looked up from her works and watched around. It was deserted as it was in her palace. No one could enter her palace without her permission. She frowned in confusion. She knew she had felt something but don’t know what it was.
“Mom, are you alright? You suddenly went quiet.”
A head appeared from the closet door. It belonged to her daughter, Piper. Her daughter was here to help her with her works. Mostly about clothes. She looked at her daughter before smiling softly, dismissing it.
“It’s nothing, Piper.”
Piper looked at her in a frown, not convincing with her answer. She gestured to Piper to continue what she was doing. After Piper was gone, she thought back about the earlier incident. It happened so sudden, startling her greatly. It rarely happened to her, so she couldn’t find the reason behind it.
She focused back on her works after she gave up finding the answer only to stop when a thought crossed her mind. Narrowing her eyes, Aphrodite mumbled her suspicion under her breath.
“Did someone say something about me?”
