Chapter Text
The two teenagers ate breakfast with David and eventually Elton before it was time to pop off to their first day of school. The Towncar picked them up and dropped them off.
Patrick reached for Pete’s hand before shyly dropping it. “So sorry…”
The alpha looked confused, grabbed Patrick’s hand, and kissed the back of his palm. “Why are you sorry, beautiful?”
The omega blushed immensely. “Well, you don’t want to be out to the school yet…”
“I should’ve let you know that I changed my mind the second you asked if we could start dating.” He chuckled. “Omegas first.” He gestured to let Patrick out.
He scooted out and took Pete’s hand again. “You ready to face possible homophobes?”
“Eh, no one ever liked me anyways except the ladies. Thank god women love gay men, though.”
Patrick laughed and stopped at his locker. “Maybe we should share my locker? So I don’t have to leave you immediately every morning?”
Pete chuckled and scented over Patrick then and there in front of an already onlooking crowd. He rolled his eyes when he felt the attention. “Wanna make them gasp?” Pete asked quietly against the omega’s ear, causing him to shiver.
“Mm-mhm!” Patrick hummed, starting to unload his notebooks and binders into their locker. His bag fell to the ground as he was swept up, in one fluid motion, into the alpha’s arms. He barely had time to process it all when he felt Pete’s perfect lips tickle his neck. Before he knew it, Pete was sucking a hickey into his neck right there in front of probably a hundred students standing in the common room. And sure enough, the room gasped.
“Pete and Patrick are gay for each other?” Brendon, a tall and handsome alpha with slicked back jet black hair, asked an omega next to him.
“Well, Patrick came out on YouTube two months ago.” Gerard, a quiet, short, and awkward omega informed. “Are you not subscribed?”
“YouTube is for losers.” Brendon huffed. Yeah, he subscribed though.
Pete and Patrick agreed to start a YouTube channel together two years ago. They started it as a way to post songs they collaborated on, but it quickly turned into a vlog and storytime channel. Don’t worry, they weren’t cringe-worthy. They were actually super popular, gaining almost a million subscribers in the last year. Each video also accumulated a million or more views. They were famous YouTubers, but don’t get it twisted. They weren’t big in the media or anything. In fact, the media kind of forgot that Pete and Patrick were children of some of the world’s best and biggest stars.
Pete let Patrick go after an intimate makeout session against their locker, letting the younger teen head to marching band. Patrick pushed open the door, and his best omega friend came rushing forward.
“Is it true?!” Andy, a small redhead percussionist, gripped his best friend by the shoulders.
“Is what true?” Patrick acted dumb, but let a shit-eating smirk take to his face.
Andy shook his head, eyes widening like saucers when he saw not one but two hickeys on Patrick’s scent gland and collar bone. “Omg! You and Pete really are together!” Still holding onto Patrick’s shoulders, he made the younger omega take a seat on the band room steps. “Tell me everything.”
“There’s not much to it.” He giggled, obviously still on cloud9 judging by the dilated pupils and la-la-land-expression. “Um, this morning Pete came out to me, and asked me to homecoming…”
Andy cooed adoringly. “That’s sweet, but you guys seem closer than a date to homecoming?”
“Well, I kinda asked him to start dating me now…”
“Really?” Meredith, an adorable goth beta, sat with them. She was a close friend of theirs.
“Really, and stuff just started happening. He kissed me… We made out in the car…” Patrick slid the top of the romper down to show more hickeys that covered his chest already.
“Oh my god!” The two friends said in unison, mouths gaped open. “He’s pretty much ravished you by now!”
The omega giggled and shrugged. “I think there was some sexual tension building the last year or so.”
“So are you guys like serious?” Gerard finally made it to the band room, a little out of breath from having to run to beat the bell.
“I dunno… I should hope so. We’ve always been closer than friends, and it would be really ass-holey to move our relationship forward but not be serious about it. He would so lose me for life.”
“Are you in love?” Ryan Ross, also a smaller omega and partner to Brendon, joined in.
“If I am, I always have been…”

Pete changed into his gym uniform and headed out to the track. Today was literally the first day, and their PE teacher was making them run a mile. Sure he was used to like three or four mile runs daily for soccer practice, but come on. PE class was made for the sporty kids to take a break since the teacher was usually a coach as well. All buttered up, the coach usually let the kids who had more running to do after school out of it.
He stood next to his best friend, Joe Trohman. Joe was also an alpha, pretty good at soccer, and also very gay. You would never be able to tell by looking at him, but he was whipped for Andy Hurley.
“So I’m gay and have a boyfrend.” Pete filled Joe in as the timer started for their run.
“Shit dude. That was you I heard about in the hall?” Joe kept up with Pete perfectly, while the rest of the class was already falling behind.
“Mhm. Finally got the balls to ask Patrick out. Turns out he’s been into me for like years, and I’m such an idiot for not realizing sooner.”
“But you didn’t even know you were gay?”
“Oh I knew it, just couldn’t admit it. I’ve been with girls since my first kiss in daycare, man.”
Joe nodded. “No, I get that. I didn’t think I was gay until Andy moved here.” It was true. Andy had moved to Wilmette from Wisconsin just last year. When Joe saw that ginger hair, those muscles… Mmm… He hadn’t seen an omega this ripped probably ever. His heart was taken rent-free by Andy immediately. Love at first sight.
“Yeah, but uh, I definitely almost ate him out in the car this morning.”
“Why’d you stop?”
“Well… I think, no. I know Patrick’s a virgin. I’m not gonna ruin my only chance with the love of my life for moving too fast.”
“Love of your life?” Joe asked, causing Pete to stop in his tracks. Did Pete just really accidentally admit his love for Patrick before he had even registered it mentally?”
Coach Hoppus blew his whistle. “Get going or you’re running extra at practice tonight!”
