Chapter Text

"Mama, can we cuddle?"

"Sure, my baby, come here."

You scooted your chair back from the security desk, giving Metti enough space to sit on your lap. You still had a lot of paperwork to get done before the end of the day, but you could just work through your lunch break. He sat down on your lap, his arms wrapping around your neck as he buried his face in your shoulder. You began soothing him, rubbing a hand up and down his back. He was stiffer than usual.

"What's wrong, honey?"

"A kid was mean to me."

"What did they do?"

"They called me a freak."

"Freakin cute?"

"No."

"Freakin adorable?"

"No, mama."

"Freakin talented and sweet and kind?"

He let out a short snip of a laugh, and you could feel him loosen up a bit.

"My Metti, You are a perfect an-"

"CUT IT OUT!" Someone shouted.

You and Metti both turned, seeing a child yelling at Nova. You quickly put Metti down with a quick kiss on his forehead, and walked over to her, with him following close behind.

"What's going on?" You asked.

Nova turned to see you, and when you got to her, she hugged you tight. You took her face in your hands, noticing she had tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong, my princess?"

She sniffled, "Mama, he's being mean."

Metti walked around you to hug her, seeing the boy she was talking about, "Mama, that's the mean boy."

The one who called him a freak? He was about their age, maybe two or three years older. More than old enough to know what those words meant.

"What are you doing here? This is the Daycare."

"I can go where I want."

"Where are your parents?"

"It's none of your business."

You heard a faint buzzing and looked overhead. It was Dusk and Dawn's drone.

"I heard that you called my children something unpleasant. Can you repeat it?"

"Children? Those things can't be kids. They're robots. They're just metal junk."

"What did you tell them?"

"I didn't say anything bad." He huffed.

"Mama, he said I was ugly."

"Ugly?"

She pointed to her face, "He said I look like a tie-dye t-shirt."

A tie-dye t-shirt? Seriously? He saw the absolute masterpiece that was your little Nova and compared her to an article of clothing? Was he blind?! You brushed the tears away, kissing her on the forehead.

"Honey, no. You are the prettiest girl in the entire Daycare. And I'm not being biased just cause I'm your mother."

"You're her mom?!" He yelled out.

"Yes?"

"Eww, aren't you supposed to have human babies?"

"Aren't you supposed to be well-behaved?"

"Well, my dad says-"

"Marcus, what are you doing?"

You saw a man walking towards you, looking a lot like that kid.

"Dad!"

"What's going on?" The father asked.

"The old lady is being mean to me!" Marcus said, pointing to you.

Old lady? You looked at him and sighed. "Sir, your son was bullying the other children in the Daycare."

"Bullying?"

You nodded, "He said a lot of rude remarks about the physical appearance of the other children."

The man looked from you to Metti and Nova, still sniffling as they held onto your waist.

"Oh, come on, it can't be that big a deal. A little bullying is good for kids and makes them grow up tough." He laughed. You sighed. Working at the Daycare for over a decade really did something to a person. Now you could tell when security needed to be called before a confrontation even began.

You reached down and unclipped your radio, "I've got a Code 3 in the Daycare."

You heard Randy's voice, now the head of Dayshift security, come on over the static, "Copy."

"What did you just do?"

"Nothing, sir, don't worry about it."

"No, that wasn't nothing. Tell me what you did." He said it as if you were just a child in need of discipline. Rude.

"So you believe bullying is good for kids because... why exactly?"

"It's good for their growth."

"Why do you think that is? If your child was being bullied, would you be thinking the same way?"

"My child doesn't get bullied. He's a strong boy."

You looked to his son. The poor kid looked like a lot of things, but strong wasn't one of them. "Well... I'm sure to you he is."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Sir, I'm just looking for an apology. Your child had no reason to say such hurtful things to mine."

"Then you should raise your kids to be tougher than that!"

"You should raise your child to not be a bully."

He scoffed and stepped closer, pointing a finger at your face, "A BULLY?! LISTEN HERE-"

Hunks of metal fell from the sky with loud thuds. You went from four hands being on you to six. Moon wrapped himself around your back while Sun crouched in front of you, facing the man. Dawn and Dusk were on both sides, Dawn on your left, Dusk on your right. Where on earth had they come from? You looked up, noticing two cables hanging above your head. You looked to Dusk and Dawn, seeing their chests rise and fall quickly from exertion. They had run over while their fathers had taken the aerial route. But how did they know what was happening? The drone. Ahhh.

"You need to leave the Daycare," Sun said in a growly voice. A shiver went up your spine, no doubt noticed by Moon, who leaned a bit forward, claws extracted. You looked down, seeing Metti and Nova were staring at the man, as were Dawn and Dusk. They were all unnaturally still, waiting for him to move like some kind of small group of predators.

"What the fuck?" You whispered. Moon and Sun's eyes were glowing red. The dad stopped moving forward, looking both confused and terrified as he began to shoo his kid to leave.

"Language, Daydream," Moon murmured over your shoulder. This was it. This was your life now. Four overprotective children, two extremely overprotective husbands, and one very loud and lazy cat. Oh boy.
______________

"Are you almost ready, Starlight?" Sun asked, fixing his black satin vest.

"Yup." You smoothed out the dress you were wearing.

"Monty and Lily should here any-"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Moon moved to the door, opening it to see Monty. Andi hopped down from his cat tower, walking over to Monty and rubbing up against his leg like a little purr machine.

"Nice suit," Monty said.

"Thank you."

Moon let Monty in. Your four kids came out of their room to say hi. "Uncle Monty! Where's Aunt Lily?"

"I'm here!"

You looked past Monty to see Lily carrying a small bundle in her arms. You walked over, giving her a quick hug before you looked into the bundle. Meeting your eyes was an adorable little baby gator chewing on their tail.

"Hello, Sandy." You smiled, watching their green eyes widen as they recognized you. Their little hands came up to cover their face as they smiled, not a tooth in sight. Sandy was only a few months old and already made you miss when your little ones were babies. Sandy, bless his little heart, had Lily's disposition but looked like a spitting image of Monty with lighter coloring. You reached up and tickled his little cheeks, watching him kick happily in Lily's arms as his tail curled.

"Thank you for watching them, Lily." You said.

"Oh, it's no problem. I love the kids." All four of your children surrounded her, cooing at Sandy and giving Lily hugs. She smiled wide and hugged them back, truly in her element.

"Well then, Sunshine. It's time for our date!" Sunny said, fixing up his bowtie one final time. You smiled and kissed your children goodbye. They waved you off as you and your darlings went to the Faz theater, catching a special horror movie showing you had set up just for this date. Throughout the film, you held Sun and Moon's hands, holding them close as they jumped and held their breath in fear. Afterward, the three of you went to Chica's cupcake shop, where you had asked them to marry you so many years ago. The three of you split a cupcake, in your favorite flavor, of course, with Sun feeding you, you feeding Moon, and Moon feeding Sun.

As you finished the treat, Sun picked up the tray, walked over to the trash can, and dumped it in, "Are you ready for the next part of our date?"

"Of course, love," you answered, with Moon nodding quickly behind you. The three of you set off down the halls, following the winding corridors you knew like the back of your hand. You stopped at the doors of FazerBlast, complete with bright neon on a dark backdrop.

"First one to hit the other two wins," Moon said.

"Winner gets a prize." Sun smiled.

"What shall the prize be this time, my loves?"

"How about the winner gets the losers to do whatever they want?"

"Whatever they want?" You raised your eyebrows, a smirk on your face. Moon's cheeks turned the slightest shade pink.

"Daydream, why do you always have such a dirty mind?" He sighed, embarrassed.

"Because the two of you are just so handsome that I can't keep my hands off you." You shrugged, seeing Moon's blush increase and hearing Sun let out a giggle. You walked over to the game table, putting some extra sway in your hips before picking up a blaster. When you turned, you caught both of them staring at your hips.

"Something wrong, loves?"

"N-No, Sunshine!" Sun walked quickly to the table, grabbing his own blaster and making sure it was charged. Moon did the same, and the three of you set the buzzer, walking in three different directions in the course. You decided to pick the far outer left wall divide, near a few barrels and an old car with the doors removed. A recording of Freddy's voice played out over the loudspeakers, "Welcome to FazerBlast! Get ready, Superstar! Three, Two, One!"

As the lights went out, you slowed your breathing and listened for any noise. Sun and Moon couldn't use their cables in here, and you happened to possess an unusual talent for finding them. You shuffled slowly to the barrels, ducking behind them and looking out in the small gap between them. Scanning the dark for your loves. A slight ruffle of fabric came from your left, and you looked over, seeing nothing. You scooted carefully around the other side of the barrels, covering yourself, and waited. It took a handful of breaths before you saw the tip of a shoe. It was Sun's. Always a bold one, never liking to wait much. You walked slowly over, ducking behind an L-shaped divide. You moved quickly, turning just in time to see his rays slip on the other side of the wall. He was so close; all you needed to do was take just a few steps forward. You took a breath, stepped out, and saw him checking behind the wall you had just walked out of. Suddenly, a blast hit just a few inches from your face. You ducked, ran to the car, and tossed yourself inside. That blast came from somewhere else on the right side, meaning Moon must've been over there. You strained your hearing, finding something you weren't expecting. Giggles. And lots of them. You could recognize those cute little laughs anywhere. You scrambled from the car and to an L-divide, yelling out.

"AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE DAYCARE?"

"UNCLE AND AUNTIE FELL ASLEEP, AND WE GOT BORED!"

Oh lord. You heard another blast off in the near distance, seeing a large shadow run past you. It was Moon.

He stopped when he saw you.

You smiled, "ALRIGHT, KIDDOS. SINCE YOU BARGED IN ON OUR DATE, YOU GOTTA PAY UP!"

You heard the giggles get louder and heard some shuffling to the side. Sun popped his head out from the side wall, seeing you and Moon. He joined you, and you grinned.

"I HOPE YOU'RE READY!" You shouted.

"I WAS BORN READY!" Dusk cried out from the right.

"THREE ON FOUR! PARENTS VS KIDS! THE WINNING TEAM GETS NO CHORES FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK!"

You heard some hollering to your left, Dawn.

"CAN I BAKE ALL WEEK?" Metti shouted out from somewhere behind you.

"YES, YOU CAN!"

"CAN I READ MY NEW BOOKS IN THE POND?" Nova shouted.

"NO BOOKS IN THE POND! YOU KNOW THE FISH DON'T LIKE THEM, BUT YOU CAN READ ON THE EDGE OF IT."

"OKAY! THANKS, MAMA."

"NO PROBLEM, SWEETIE."

"CAN I PUSH DAWN DOWN THE ESCALATOR IN A SHOPPING CART?" Dusk yelled out.

You heard some shuffling before a punch was thrown. A small 'ouch' sounded before you heard a loud "NEVERMIND!"

"READY?" You yelled.

"YEA!" Little voices piped up from all directions.

"OKAY, MY LITTLE STARS, GET READY! THREE, TWO, ONE, GO!"
