Work Text:
It was a quiet day for the class of 1-A. They had the day off and all were enjoying leisurely activities inside, having just finished working out, or were doing classic 1-A shenanigans. However, soon everything calm about this day would change.
That change happened when one Ochako Uraraka slammed open the door to the Heights Alliance Dorms, causing the nineteen others in the room to jump in surprise. For some like Momo Yaoyorozu and Shoto Todoroki who were sitting there reading books, this was less harmful. For others like Kaminari Denki who currently had a funnel in his mouth as Hanta Sero poured apple sauce in, this was more harmful, causing the electric user to start coughing as it went down the wrong hole.
“Who did it?”
Uraraka said angrily as she glared around the full room as if they had all personally offended her. Soon a nervous looking frog girl approached her.
“Who did what ‘Chako-chan?”
The girl asked, only for the furious brown eyes to lock onto her, making the girl let out a surprised “Kero”.
“Tsu. You are one of my best friends, if you did it, you would tell me, right?”
“ ‘Chako-chan? What did someone do?”
“Answer the question, Tsu!”
Thankfully for the dark-haired girl, a tall boy with glasses came to her rescue.
“Uraraka, please explain yourself. What has gotten you so upset?”
Iida asked his friend and the brown-haired girl went back to glaring at the class.
“I called dibs. You all were there when I called dibs.”
She said, getting confused looks from everyone’s faces, trying to remember what particular situation she had called dibs on. Suddenly, a look of realization dawned on a pink skinned girl’s face.
“No.” Ashido said with wide eyes, getting up. “Someone made a move behind your back?”
This earned more confused glances as a furious Uraraka nodded. The alien-like girl quickly bounded over.
“Come on girl! Spill the deets!”
Uraraka huffed before taking a deep breath.
“I was training with Deku-kun today and he was wearing his tank top.”
“The really tight one that shows off his muscles or the really loose one that All Might used to wear that he can barely keep on?”
Aoyama asked, the frilly shirted boy leaning on the elbow rest of the couch.
“The All Might one.”
“Ooh. I like that one.”
Toru Hagakure said, the invisible girl currently on her back, a pair of socks swinging in the air and a visiting Hitoshi Shinso nodded in agreement.
“Anyway, I was watching him lift weights and his tank top slid down for the third time, but this time I saw that he had a hickey! So, that means that someone broke international dibs protocol. I want to know who did it?”
Mina turned to the group, a grin on her face.
“Alright everyone! We have a mystery to solve! Todoroki, we need-.”
“Already have it.”
Todoroki said, a cork board with pictures of everyone in the room currently on it standing next to him. Mina gave him a thumbs up.
“You’re the best Todoroki!”
A certain blonde bomber elected to make his voice known.
“This is stupid. As if the damn nerd could even get a girl to go out with him, let alone give him a hickey.”
Uraraka glared at him.
“It was you, wasn’t it?! Couldn’t keep your hands off your childhood friend, could you?”
She accused. Bakugou returned the glare.
“As if! I hate his damn guts! Besides, the nerd isn’t gay.”
“He could be.”
Aoyama said, a little too defensively.
“He’s not.” Todoroki and Shinso said at the same time. “We’ve tried.”
Aoyama deflated and Mina turned to the half-and-half boy.
“Alright then. Todorki, cross all the guys off the list.”
The boy nodded and started placing Xs over all the men of class 1A’s pictures. Uraraka was a little miffed that she had just heard two confessions of people going behind her back. You could never trust the quiet ones. But at least that just left five candidates left.
“Alright. Well, that narrowed it down a lot. Who else can we rule out?”
Mina asked.
“ ‘Chako-chan is my best friend, I wouldn’t betray her trust like that for no reason, kero.”
Tsuyu said, raising her hand.
“Agreed. Tsuyu was devastated at hurting her friends back when we went to rescue Bakugou. Betraying Uraraka’s trust would probably destroy her.”
Iida said, chopping his arm like a robot. Todoroki nodded and crossed out her picture.
“What about Jirou? It could be her.”
This earned the rocker’s look of surprise.
“Wait. Why am I even being considered? What do Midoriya and I even have in common?”
“Well you both are passionate and have similar reasons to wanting to become a hero.” Tokoyami said, Dark Shadow counting on his fingers. “You both have similar tastes in music, he’s shown only you his notebook so far, and you are both shy enough to want to hide the relationship.”
Jirou blushed.
“Okay. I get it, but he’s not exactly my type. I like them either really smart or really dumb.”
“Deku-kun is smart!”
Uraraka defended her crush and Jirou’s blush deepened, now mimicking that of a typical Broccoli Boy’s blush.
“I like my GIRLS really smart and my GUYS really dumb.”
She said, and everyone except the two in question got what she was talking about immediately. Todorki crossed her picture out too.
“Alright so that just leaves Yaomomo and my invisible bestie!”
Mina said before Uraraka shook her head.
“You’re a suspect too Mina. We can’t leave you off the hook.”
“Psh. It wasn’t me.”
She waved off.
“Well you two did spend a lot of time together when you were teaching him to dance…”
Rikido Sato said. Mina glanced at the buff baker in surprise.
“You two also use the same shampoo and tend to borrow each other’s when you run out.”
Hagakure reminded her, as Mina’s head whipped back to her friend, a look of betrayal in her eyes.
“Also, Midoriya loves quirks and Ashido’s appearance, and unique quirk would definitely draw him in.”
The resident tail man of 1-A said, ignoring the rising panic from the pink haired girl as the case was built against her.
“I believe the term, opposites attract may apply in this situation.”
Tokoyami spoke again.
“W-wait guys!”
Mina stammered. Thankfully her knight with tape arms spoke up.
“Guy’s come on. Do you really think Mina would be able to keep a relationship a secret? She and Hagakure are the biggest chatterboxes in the class.”
Sero explained, Mina looking at him gratefully, until Kirishima spoke up.
“I don’t know. Yeah, Mina would love to gossip about it and would probably be very clingy, but she really cares about those she’s close with and if Midori-bro had asked her to, she would probably keep it a secret.”
At any other time, Mina would be happy that her character was being defended like that, but this was a different situation as she felt Uraraka’s eyes glaring a hole through her head.
“Guys wait! I like hearing about drama, not causing it! It wasn’t meeee!”
She cried out and several members in the class sighed.
“That is true.” Hagakure said. “Plus, Mina has been the most vocal in support of Uraraka in her pursuit of Midoriya.”
“Thank you! Yes! It wasn’t me! I’m behind Uraraka one hundred percent!”
Mina said in relief and Todorki crossed her off the board. The pink haired girl quickly changed topics.
“What about Yaomomo?”
Said girl blinked in surprise and stood up a bit straighter as she took her turn in the accused spot.
“It wasn’t her.” Aoyama spoke up before the girl could try to defend herself and everyone turned to look at him in surprise.
“How do you know?”
Kaminari asked his fellow blonde, finally having recovered from the applesauce. The king of sparkles answered confidently.
“I went to ask our vice president for help recently because one of my disco balls had been destroyed during our party the other week. While she was making one, I realized she left a journal on her desk, listing what she wanted to do with different people. She wouldn’t even have the chance to give Midoriya one if she were following her journal.”
The rich girl turned crimson as the entire class looked at her in surprise.
“Always the ones you least suspect.”
Hagakure muttered.
“Right. Well, we’ll open that can of worms later but cross her off for now.”
Mina said and Todorki did as requested.
“And then there was one.”
Uraraka said, turning her angry glare at Hagakure.
“So, any defense for yourself Hagakure?”
Sero asked.
“While it’s true that I think Midoriya is cute and he is the only one in the class who actually makes eye contact with me when we talk, we never really get the chance to interact enough for me to do that.”
“You could easily change that though! You are super stealthy and can sneak into Deku-kun’s room at any time!”
Uraraka accused. Hagakure turned her body to the brown-haired girl.
“True, but Uraraka, you are forgetting one thing. Who was the one who told you to call dibs?”
The gravity girl paused before looking down.
“You were.”
The invisible girl nodded with her whole body.
“Right. If I wanted him, I would have called dibs instead.”
Uraraka frowned.
“Then someone has to be lying! I know what I saw!”
The class went silent in thought as they considered who might be the guilty one.
“What if… they aren’t in class 1-A?”
Mezo Shoji cautiously asked and everyone zeroed in on him. Shinso then spoke up.
“Hatsume from the support course does seem to like touching him.”
“Hado-senpai is really impulsive and seems to be fond of him.”
Tsuyu stated, placing a finger to her mouth in thought.
“Don’t forget the chance of it being a girl from 1-B.”
Kirishima stated as Todoroki placed more pictures onto his board. Mina jumped up and down.
“Yes! Let’s go start the interrogations! I’ll get my serious suit!”
“OR!” Momo stated loudly. “We could wait for Midoriya to come back to ask him.”
“Ask me what?”
The green boy in question said as he stepped into the room, looking around curiously.
“Hey everyone. Why is Todoroki’s conspiracy board up?”
“Deku-kun!” Uraraka stomped up to him. “Where did you get it? Who gave it to you?”
“W-what? Uraraka! What are you talking about!”
Izuku stammered, stepping back, his face becoming immediately nervous.
“That hickey on your neck! Where did you get it!”
“H-h-hickey!”
He said, wide eyed and immediately felt where it was. His face paled and he dashed out the door.
“EVERYONE AFTER HIM!”
Mina shouted and a majority of class 1-A charged after the boy with Uraraka taking the lead. The chase lasted a few minutes before they cornered him against the walls of UA.
“Deku-kun.”
Uraraka growled menacingly as she moved towards the cornered boy.
“N-now, there is a reasonable explanation for this!”
Izuku tried to say. Suddenly the wall behind him decayed to nothing.
“MWHAHAHA! THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS STRIKES AGAIN!”
A maniacal looking Shigaraki cackled, wearing his signature hand over his face, stunning the hero students into silence. Dabi and Toga quickly wrapped up Izuku in a rope and dragged him through a portal created by Kurogiri.
“Smell you later, hero losers!” The leader of the League said in a very childish manner before he too vanished.
Silence followed the surprise kidnapping before Uraraka burst into tears.
“They kidnapped Deku-kun! AGAIN!”
“DAMN IT DEKU! THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS MONTH!”
Bakugo shouted, pissed that not only did the nerd get a date before he did, but also, he was kidnapped once again.
“Quick! We need to get Aizawa-sensei!”
Mina said as they turned around charging back into the school.
-Meanwhile: In the League of Villain base-
Izuku groaned from his position in a chair in the middle of the warehouse. He felt a weight sit on his lap.
“Hey there Izu-kuuun.”
Came the sing song voice of Himiko Toga. Izuku looked at the golden eyed girl with blonde hair pulled into her messy buns. He wrapped his arms around her and planted a kiss on her lips.
“Hey babe.”
This sent the school-girl villain into a giggling mess and the hero in training turned to Shigaraki.
“Thanks for the save. Apparently, someone left a hickey after I told her not to.”
“Oops.”
Himiko giggled and the hand villain rolled his eyes.
“Whatever. We were having poker night tonight anyway. Picking you up a few hours early doesn’t matter too much. Got any money on you?”
Izuku shook his head.
“Not much. They caught me after I finished training and my wallet was still in my room. I’ve got enough to chip in for pizza but otherwise I’ll have to owe you if I end up losing money tonight.”
“You could always give us UA secrets.”
Dabi suggested from his spot next to a few crates.
“Not going to happen Dabi. I’d be the first one they’d suspect considering how often you all ‘kidnap’ me. I’m barely able to pass off poker as mind games and my sessions with Himiko as torture when she gets kinky.”
Izuku said, earning a giggle from the blonde in his arms.
“Whatever. Just be sure to be here to move the furniture around when the time comes. You two have two or three hours before the game to do whatever it is you 3D couples do. Now, I’ve got a date with my 2D Waifu.”
Shigaraki said, moving over to a nearby room. Himiko giggled and took Izuku by the hand dragging him off to her room there. When he was “escaped” a day later, Izuku told his classmates who found him that the marks all over his body were from when one of the villains attacked him, hoping that they wouldn’t realize that the marks on his body matched the one on his neck from the day before.
