Footsteps can be heard in the corridor of the castle as a little boy runs back to his room. He was back from his dancing lessons and was running away from the etiquette teacher
"Your highness! Please come back here!" The teacher quickly runs behind the prince
"Your highness!" The prince runs faster and enters a room
The prince slowly backs away from the door when someone from behind lift him up. The prince turn his head to see who it was...
"You know you shouldn't run away from the etiquette teacher Ranboo"
"Brother Eret!" Ranboo screamed with a enthusiastic voice
Eret smiled as he hug his brother. Eret is Ranboo's older brother who married Marquess Gilliam's daughter and became a duke of the south. He disobeyed the King and as his punishment he was sent to the south
Eret is the only friend Ranboo had ever since the king brought him in, the two sat down on the sofa and talked for hours until a servant entered the room
"Duke, the king is now ready to meet you" the servant bowed
"I'll find you later" Eret smiled at Ranboo as he left with the servant
After a few hours, Eret found Ranboo in his room playing with his stuffed toys the two were chatting until someone knocked
"Come in" Eret said as he looked over to the door
The door opens and a woman came in, the woman is Quetzalcoatl the kingdom's mage, Eret talked to her for a while until she saw Ranboo or rather his stuffed toys. She stared at the stuffed toys before approaching the child
"Your highness, may I ask if who gave you this stuffed toys?" She bend down as she asked
"Mother gave them to me." As he arrange his small crown
Ranboo turned to Eret and smiled
"Lemme introduce them to you!" He went inside the blanket fort and brought out a wooden sword and a book
"This is Technoblade and this is Dream!" He pointed at the stuffed toy pig and blob
"They're my warriors! They chase all my nightmares away!" Ranboo stood up and proudly said. While the two adults smiled at his cuteness
"Techno's strong! He has a sword! And has a crown like me!" He picked up the pig
"Dream has a book that can revive people! How cool is that!" Ranboo picked up the blob and he present it to Eret's face
Ranboo sat down again and hugged the two plushies. Eret smiled and patted Ranboo's head and stood up
"Well then, I must be going now" Eret said as he looked at the mage
Quetzalcoatl has so many to ask but stopped when she saw the scary eyes of the man she then stood up, bowed at the two and left. Eret knew how sensitive Ranboo can be when it comes to his mother
"Well then little one, I'll visit you again" Eret bend down and reassured Ranboo who has about to cry
"You promise?" Ranboo looked at Eret with teary eyes
Eret thought about how Ranboo's eyes were filled with such innocence...
"I promise" Eret smiled, he stood up and left the room
The moment Eret left the room he was surrounded by knights
"We will attack by dawn Duke" One of the knights said as they followed Eret
But Eret suddenly thought of Ranboo and stopped
"Duke?" The knights also stopped and looked at Eret. Eret has been planning a rebellion ever since he was banished and sent away
"We'll begin in two months" Eret said as he walked again, the knights behind him were shocked
"But Duke! We've been planning this for years!" The knights followed him outside
"If you have a problem say it now" As Eret went inside the carriage he glanced at the knights with cold blooded eyes
All knights were slient but silently asking themselves why would the duke moved the rebellion, they bowed to the duke and the carriage left the palace gate
Meanwhile~
Ranboo is being attended by maids and preparing him to bed. As the last maid left the room, Ranboo quickly got of the bed and went inside his blanket fort and arrange his plushies. Instead of sleeping on the huge bed Ranboo choose to sleep inside his blanket fort with his plushies on the floor.
"Goodnight Techno, goodnight Dream..." Ranboo said in a sleepy tone
After a few minutes, Ranboo fell asleep

After a few minutes something glowed inside the blanket fort and something came out of the fort...
It was the two plushies, Dream and Techno came out of the blanket fort and a smoke covered the two plushies
*poof* *poof*
When the smoke cleared out it revealed two adults, one has a bright pink braided hair with Ruby red eyes wearing a crimson red cape, white Ruffle shirt and black pants while the other has a dirty blond hair with emerald green eyes wearing a dark green hoodie and grey pants
"My back..." Dream was kneeling down with a hand placed at his back
"Stop whinning you're gonna wake him up" Techno went out of the blanket fort holding Ranboo's sleeping body
"Easy for you to say when you're just a fat pig" Dream stood up and removed the crown Ranboo placed on his head
"Well at least I don't have to suffer like the f*cking bend blob like you"
"You b-" The two stopped as the heard Ranboo moving, after a few minutes they calmed down
Dream placed the crown on the bedside table. Techno took the wooden sword and the sword became a large netherite sword while Dream placed the revival book inside his hoodie and went under Ranboo's bed and took out a netherite axe
"Ready?"Techno as Dream groan
"This is gonna be a long night" As the two glanced at the balcony and there are creatures outside invincible to the naked eye
Nightmares. A demon-like creature who devours small children's dreams and life force. The two knew that these creatures were summoned because there's no way or gate that can be opened in the overworld unless they were summoned.
The two also thought that maybe that's the reason the king's children is getting killed one by one
Techno opened the balcony doors and went out first while Dream walked out, closed the doors and cast a protection spell around Ranboo's room and followed Techno...
