Chapter Text

THE ROAD SO FAR....

It's been three years since you first met Sam and Dean and started hunting with them. You've hunted spirits, demons, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, a Jinn, hellhounds, crazed humans, even a virus....

As you were about to try opening the door you noticed a man standing in the kitchen through the door's window next to your mom. Then you watched as he grabbed her by her neck and pierced through her chest with his hand and blood covered the floor below her body. You were about to call the police, but you noticed the other bodies laying on the floor around them, which looked like your father and Sarah. You froze from the shock and dropped your phone causing him to look towards the door, as you went to lean out of sight you noticed his bright, yellow eyes which felt like they could stare into your soul....

You slowly walked in the kitchen to find the bodies of your mom, dad, and Sarah laying limp on the tile. "Mom...Dad...Sarah!" You cried as you fell to your knees crying. You knew they were dead just from the wounds and the amount of blood spattered in the kitchen. Then you suddenly remembered Allie and Elliot. "Allie, Elliot!" You shouted as you got up hoping maybe they hid or escaped. You walked into the living room and noticed the room had been torn a part like there was a battle in there. The couch was turned over hiding a corner of the room. You slowly walked around the broken coffee table and chairs and peeked around the couch. "No!" You screamed as you saw Allie and Elliot's bodies in the same condition as your parents and Sarah. You started bawling your eyes out as you walked backwards and tripped over a broken end table causing you to fall on the ground. You just kept crying until you couldn't cry anymore....

You unlocked and opened the door to see who they were. The two of them actually looked close to your age, the taller, like really tall, one had a friendly demeanor about him with almost shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes with a hint of hazel in them. The shorter one had shorter, darker brown hair and green eyes. "My name is Agent Cooper and this is my partner Agent Clapton, we would like to discuss the Harper case with you," the shorter one now known as Agent Cooper said as they showed you their badges....

"You guys aren't FBI agents are you?" Y/N asked.

It got quiet while you waited for their response. "No we're not," Agent Clapton replied. "My name is Sam and that is my brother Dean, we are hunters."

"Hunters?" You asked wondering what they meant.

"Yeah hunters, we hunt monsters, like vampires, werewolves, and spirits," Dean replied...

"Hey guys!" you said running up to them. They both stopped and looked at you."I wanna go with you."

"No way," Dean said said turning you down.

"Come on Dean, she has been helpful on the last few cases," Sam said liking the idea of you joining them.

Dean thought about it for a moment and sighed. "Fine, but you need to be careful and listen to everything we say" Dean said giving in.

"Alright!" You said smiling at them. They both smiled at you and the three of you walked out of the airport. Not knowing what you just got yourself into, but you had a feeling you wouldn't regret it...

"Back in 1835, Samuel Colt made a special gun. They say this gun can kill anything." John shared...

"The Colt is gone, and it seems pretty damn likely that the demon is behind all of this." Sam growled...

"It's simple your parents were a threat to me." Yellow-eyes answered. You looked at him with a confused look on your face. "Oh what? Mommy and daddy didn't tell you? They were hunters and they wouldn't stop until they killed me." Finally it all made sense the business trips they took all the time, the basement you were never allowed in. "Kathleen and Daniel L/N, they really were the cutest pair of hunters. You see, it all started on the day you turned six months old and I tried to sneak into your room to give you a little gift. They somehow got word and stopped me and almost killed me in the process. I had to run away and wait for another two years so another special batch of kids could be born, little Sammy included. They kept going after me for over twenty years trying to kill me, all for the sake of their family. So when the time came for I paid them a little visit even used one of their most trusted friends as a meat suit. And I savored every moment of killing them, especially the twins. The way Kathleen wailed, cried, cursed, and begged for their lives. It made my day."....

"Crossroads are where pacts are made." Dean explained.

"In selling your soul." Sam spoke.

"Rituals like this, you got to put your own photo into the mix, right?" Dean added...

"I'm Sam." Sam introduced himself to them.

"I'm Jake." Jake answered.

"Y/N, nice to meet you I guess." You smiled....

You didn't notice it before but you were actually terrified, you could feel your whole body shaking. You needed to at least look strong in front of Sam and Dean. You didn't want them to see you as weak. "Hey." You heard Dean whisper as he walked behind you. "You okay?"

"Oh, yeah I'm fine." You lied trying to hold your hands tight so he wouldn't see them shaking.

"Not you're not, I can tell when someone is putting on a brave face." Dean spoke softly as he grabbed your hands and held them tight. "Sorry. Sometimes I forget that you didn't grow up in this life. You don't have to act brave around me." He cooed as he pulled you into him. The warmth of his body, his scent all comforted you and calmed you down. "I'll take care of you. I promise I won't let anything happen to you." Dean promised as he held you tight in his arms. You quietly nodded your head as you held on to him even tighter. Never wanting this moment to end....

The girl pounced on Andy as he fell onto the floor. "AH! AAH!" You heard Andy scream as the demon ripped his chest open.

"Andy!" You cried as you tried to get up again. Then you saw as the demon started to make her way over to you. "Sh*t!" You cursed as you couldn't fight Ava's powers. "Jake! Sam!" You screamed hoping one of them would hear you. Then you saw Jake walk in behind Ava and snap her neck causing her to fall limp on the ground and the demon disappeared....

Then you heard whispering behind you, you turned around to see the spirit of Sarah glaring at you. "Sarah..." You gasped as she tried to attack you....

"Why me? I'm your sister!" You shouted. As you tried to find anything you could use to fend her off. She slammed you into the wall causing you to cough up some blood.

"You left us to die, you abandoned us! Even after we died!" She shrieked....

"I'll burn it down..."You whispered.

"What, Y/N?" Dean asked you.

"If I can't find what's keeping her here, then I'll salt and burn the whole house." You decided....

"Y/N!" Sarah shrieked as she kept trying to attack you.

"I'm sorry I left Sarah, I was scared and I was a coward." You yelled as you ran into the basement to find gas. You managed to find a canister of the stuff and you heaved it upstairs and you poured it from the stove to the fireplace. Then you pulled out a match. "You can hate me all you want Sarah, but I will always love you, mom, dad, and the twins. But it's time for me to say goodbye and let you rest." You lit the match and watched as the fire ignited and spread across the floor. Now you just had to find a way out. Sarah tried to attack you again, but her shrieks sounded more like wailing now. You couldn't see an exit down on the first floor you jumped onto the staircase and ran upstairs. As you got upstairs you saw a window at the end of the hallway that faced the front of the house. You didn't even think you just ran as fast as you could before Sarah or the fire could catch you. You closed your eyes and jumped through the window as you felt the glass shatter.....

"Hey." You sighed as Dean quickly got up and hugged you tightly. Then you sat up and turned around to see Sarah standing at the edge of the flames. You could see tears in her eyes as you read her lips.

"I'm sorry.." She mouthed as she burned away in the flames. Then you four watched as the fire ate away at your house. Once you caught your breath and everything sunk in. You cried. You let out all of the emotions you'd been feeling since you watched your family get murdered three years ago. You bawled as Dean pulled you tightly into his chest and just held you to let you know you weren't alone. Then you felt Sam kneel down and hug you too. Which made you cry and bawl even more. None of you cared that it started raining or you were getting soaked you just needed this moment. They held onto you until you ran out of tears to cry....

"I'll at least make it quick." Jake sighed as he tightened his grip around your throat. You started to choke as he lifted you off the ground and you couldn't breathe.

"Y/N!" Sam cried as he got up. "No!" Sam screamed as he used his powers to throw Jake away from you across the road....

Suddenly something inside you told you to save Sam. You didn't have time to warn him so, you quickly shoved him forward as hard as you could as you felt a stake pierce you toward your chest and you let out an ear-piercing scream. You glanced behind you and saw Jake staring at you with widened eyes.

"Why?" He whispered.

"Y/N! No!" Sam screamed as he turned around and saw you get stabbed.

"No!" Dean yelled as he and Bobby ran towards you.

"Told you...save Sam..." You tried to speak as Jake pulled the stake out and ran away. You felt to your knees as excruciating pain ran through your body as you could feel nothing but pain. Dean fell to the ground as he pulled you into his arms while Bobby went after Jake. Sam was in shock about what was happening.

"No, Y/N." Dean cried as he held you against his chest. "Whoa, Y/N. Y/N." Your body became too heavy to hold up yourself so you went limp in his arms as your vision flickered in and out. "Y/N, come on, please. Stay with me." Dean begged as he held your head. "Let me look at you." As you could vaguely feel Dean's hand against your back. "Come on, it isn't even that bad. Look at me, Y/N." Dean tried to smile but it fell when he saw your face turning white. "It's not even that bad, all right? Y/N? Y/N! We are gonna patch you up, I'll take care of you. I promise. I promised you I would protect you and keep you safe no matter what." He cried. "I got you. You can't leave. I love you Y/N. I can't lose you too. Who's gonna keep an eye on me and Sam if you're not there? Y/N?" You couldn't hold on much longer. "Y/N. Y/N! Y/N!" The last thing you heard were Dean's cries and screams as your vision faded. "No. No, no, no, no. Oh, God. Oh, God. Y/N!!!!" The last thing you felt before you died was Dean's warm, tight embrace as he held you in his arms and never let go....

NOW....

Third P.O.V

Dean leaned against the doorway as he stared at Y/N's corpse laying on the bed. "Dean?" Bobby called as he came in to check on Dean. Dean slowly looked over at Bobby as he came in with a bucket of fried chicken. "Brought you this back." Bobby mentioned as he went to set it on the table. Dean's face looked stiff and almost as dead as Y/N. It was like all of the life had been drained out of him.

"No, thanks. I'm fine." Dean mumbled quietly as he looked back at Y/N's body.

"You should eat something." Bobby advised him.

"I said I'm fine." Dean growled as he turned around and walked over to the table to drink more beer.

"Dean...I hate to bring this up. I really do. But don't you think maybe it's time...we bury Y/N?" Bobby asked Dean.

"No." Dean refused as he glared at Bobby then sat down at the table.

"But we could maybe..." Bobby sighed.

"What--torch her corpse?" Dean spat. "Not yet."

"I want you to come with me. Sam's trying to track the demon and we need all the help we can get." Bobby explained.

"I'm not going anywhere," Dean stated as he drank more beer.

"Dean, please." Bobby pleaded with Dean.

"Won't you cut me some slack?" Dean asked Bobby.

"I just don't think you should be alone, that's all." Bobby voiced. "Sam is suffering just as much as you are, but he's still going at it. And he blames himself for her death. We need your help to find the demon." Dean just scoffed at him. "Something big is going down--end-of-the-world big."

"Well, then let it end!" Dean screamed.

"You don't mean that." Bobby retorted. Dean angrily stood up and glared at Bobby.

"You don't think so?" Dean spat. "Huh? You don't think I've given enough? Sam? You don't think I've paid enough? Or Y/N? She paid with her life! She had no reason to come with us. She could've-should've lived a normal life, but no she stuck with me and Sam. She saved us multiple times, she kept us on our feet. Hell, she died for Sam when I should have been the one to die. I'm done with it. All of it. And if you know what's good for you, turn around and get the hell out of here. Go!!" Dean shoved Bobby away from him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Please just go." Dean whispered.

"Well, you know where you can find me and Sam." Bobby told Dean before leaving. Dean looked over at Y/N's body again as he cried. Dean went back to the doorway and stared at Y/N's body.

"You know, when you first wanted to join me and Sam, I thought you were crazy for one, but I thought you would slow us down. I thought you would make loads of mistakes or even get you or one of us killed." Dean admitted. "We had a blast, you, me, and Sam. We got into some of the crazies sh*t-shows, but we always got each other out alive. I never thought it would be fun to teach someone how to hunt. You'd always say you learned from the best. At first I just wanted to keep you out of trouble, but over time it became something else. I wanted to protect you from anything and everything that could harm you. One thing I didn't tell you or Sam was before Dad he also told me to take care of you, keep you safe. You helped me keep Sam safe, it felt kind of nice having someone to share that responsibility with. But I broke my promise to you, I couldn't save you this time around." Dean's voice broke as he cried. "I'm sorry Y/N. I'm so sorry, I blew it. I wasn't there for you." Dean kept crying as he tried to wipe his face. "I guess that's what I do. I let down the people I love. I let Dad down. And now I guess I'm just supposed to let you down, too. How can I? How am I supposed to live with that? What am I supposed to do?" Dean sobbed. "Y/N. God. What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do?!" Dean screamed. He left the house got in the Impala and drove away into the night....

Bobby returned to his house where Sam was trying to do research to find the demon or Jake. "I'm back." Bobby greeted Sam as he came into the study where Sam had papers and books everywhere. Sam didn't even look at Bobby, he just looked between the map and the reports on his laptop. "I swear between you two Winchester's!" Bobby sighed as he walked over to Sam. "Dean's gone off the deep end and is drowning in his own pity-party. And you are on a one-way track of revenge."

"It's my fault." Sam mumbled as he kept working. "It's my fault that sh-she--that Y/N's dead." Sam snapped. "She pushed me out of the way and Jake killed her instead. I mean she shouldn't have even been there. But no she was put in harms way because the demon was after me, just like mom and just like Jess!" Sam cried.

"Yes, I know. I'm sorry Y/N died, I really am. But she chose all of that herself. She wanted to protect you and Dean. And she sure as hell wouldn't want you two to wallow in self-pity or get lost in revenge. She would want you to kill the demon and be happy." Bobby tried to explain to Sam.

"I'll kill that demon, for sure." Sam growled as he went back to his work.

Dean was speeding down the road way over the speed limit as the tires screeched against the pavement. Dean only had one thing on his mind, getting Y/N back, for him and for Sam. He stopped the car in the middle of the intersection, got out and opened the trunk. He grabbed a tin box and put some graveyard dirt, a black cat's bone, and one of his fake I.D. photos in the box. Then he walked to the middle of the crossroads and buried it, and waited. But no one came. "Come on, already." Dean whispered as he spun around looking for the crossroads demon. "Show your face, you b*tch!" Dean yelled.

"Easy, sugar. You'll wake the neighbors." A woman in a black dress appeared behind him and her eyes glowed red.

"Dean." She smiled. "It is so, so good to see you. I mean it. Look at you. Gone and got your girlfriend killed. All alone now. It's too sweet." She mused as she walked up to Dean. "Excuse me. You're gonna have to give me a moment. Sometimes you got to stop and smell the roses."

"I should send you straight back to hell." Dean growled at her.

"Oh, you should. But you won't. And I know why." She smirked as she walked around Dean.

"Oh, yeah?" Dean questioned as he turned around to look at her.

"Yeah." She nodded. "Following in daddy's footsteps, you want to make a deal. Sweet, beautiful, little Y/N back from the dead, and--let me guess--you're offering up your own soul?"

"There are a hundred other demons who'd love to get their hands on it." Dean pointed out. "And it's all yours. All you got to do is bring Y/N back. Give me ten years--ten years, and then you come for me."

"You must be joking." She scoffed.

'That's the same deal you give everybody else." Dean argued.

"You're not everybody else. And neither is Y/N." She shared. "Why would I want to give you anything?" Just keep your gutter soul. It's too tarnished, anyways." She whispered into Dean's ear.

"Nine years." Dean offered.

"No." She refused.

"Eight." Dean offered.

"You keep going, I'll keep saying no." She chuckled. "You see Y/N's soul is special, bright, shiny, and untarnished unlike yours. Even after everything she's seen and been through."

"Okay, five years." Dean sighed. "Five years, and my bill comes due. That's my last offer--five years or no deal." She walked up to Dean and got close enough to kiss him.

"Then no deal." She whispered.

"Fine." Dean whispered.

"Fine." She smiled. "Make sure you bury Y/N before she starts stinking up the joint." She advised Dean as she started to walk away.

"Wait." Dean called out to her as he turned around.

"It's a fire sale, and everything must go." She sighed as she turned around to look at Dean.

"What do I have to do?" Dean asked her.

"First of all, quit groveling. Needy guys are such a turnoff." She answered as she walked back over to him. "Look...I shouldn't be doing this. I could get in a lot of trouble. But what can I say? I got a blind spot for you, Dean. You're like a...puppy. You're just too fun to play with." She sighed. "I'll do it."

"You'll bring her back?" Dean asked her.

"I will." She nodded. "And because I'm such a saint, I'll give you one year and one year only. But here's the thing. If you try and welch or weasel your way out, then the deal is off. Y/N drops dead. And she's back to rotten meat in no time. So...better deal than your dad ever got. What do you say?" Then Dean kissed her on the lips.

Y/N's P.O.V.

Everything was black and empty, you could feel anything, you couldn't think. You and everything around you felt empty and dark. Then you started hearing a loud thumping noise, almost like a heart beat pounding in and around you. Then you woke up. Your eyes shot open as you sat up and took many heavy breaths. You looked around you were in a ramshackle house on an old bed-spring. Then you remembered everything that happened: You pushing Sam out of the way, Jake stabbing you, Dean holding you. But you remembered nothing after that. You got up and lifted your shirt to look at your back in the mirror on the wall. You grunted and groaned from the pain when you tried to get a better view of it. All you could see was some redness and blood stains from where you were stabbed. You didn't know how you could survive that though, you for sure thought you were dead. Suddenly you heard a door open behind you. You turned around to see Dean walk into the room. "Y/N." Dean whispered. "Thank God." He smiled at you.

"Dean, what-" You tried to ask. Dean walked up to you and pulled you into his arms. "Ah, ah, ow! Easy there Dean. You're hurting me, too tight, too tight." You cried as he just held you tighter.

"Just let me have this please." Dean cried as he stuffed his face into your shoulder.

"Dean?" You questioned. You were completely confused as to what was going on.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Y/N." Dean apologized to you.

"Uh, Dean, are you okay?" You asked him.

"I'm fine now, Y/N." Dean beamed at you as he let go of you. "I'm just...I'm just happy to see you up and around, that's all. Oh, you need to sit down." Dean advised as he guided you to the bed to sit down.

"Okay, sure." You mumbled as you sat down on the bed. "Dean...what the hell happened?" You asked him.

"Well, what do you remember?" Dean asked you as he knelt down in front of you.

"I remember pushing Sam out of the way, Jake stabbing me, and then you holding me." You answered.

"Yeah, that's what happened. That kid-Jake, I think that's what Sammy said his name was, stabbed you in the back. You lost a lot of blood. It was pretty touch and go for a while." Dean explained.

"But, Dean, that wound should've killed me." You argued.

"No, but Bobby and Sammy could." Dean added. "Sam filled me and Bobby in on what happened. You shouldn't have gone with Sam that was dangerous. Especially with all of those psychic kids there. You almost died."

"I know, but all I could think about was keeping Sam safe, saving Sam. " You expressed.

"That isn't your job though it's mine." Dean stated.

"Actually, I never told you or Sam but before John died he asked me to do something. He told me if anything ever happens to Sam and you and him aren't around, make sure I save him no matter what." You admitted.

"Oh, Y/N you saved Sam's life, I can't ever repay you for that." Dean voiced as he hugged you again. "I don't know what we did to deserve you, but I'm glad it happened."

"Okay, Dean, thanks for the hugs, but can you let go. My back is still killing me." You cried as he let go of you again. "What happened to Jake anyway?"

"He disappeared into the woods." Dean replied.

"We need to find him and the demon." You told Dean.

"It's fine, Sam and Bobby are working on it at the junkyard." Dean reassured you. "You need to take it easy. After all you just woke up, all right? I bet you are starving, you want something to eat? Let's get you something to eat."

"Yeah, maybe that's a good idea." You nodded as you felt your stomach growl.

"I'm starving, too. Come on." Dean agreed. You and Dean sat at the table in the other room and ate while you went over what happened with Dean.

"Ava was actually controlling demons with her psychic powers. First she used them to kill Lily then she killed Andy right in front of me. She would have killed me too if it wasn't for Jake saving me. He ended up killing Ava, though." You explained as you ate your food.

"That's awful." Dean muttered as he ate his food. "Poor Andy."

"According to Jake, the demon only wanted one of them alive." You went on.

"Jake told you that?" Dean asked.

"Yeah." You nodded. "Sam and I tried to convince him to come with us but he wouldn't. If he only wanted one of them then way did Sam and Jake both leave town alive?"

"Well, Sam seems to think that you were like an extra player in the demon's game, Jake and the demon thought you were dead so they let Sam go." Dean explained. "So, now we think yellow-eyes had Jake. We got to figure out what he's gonna do with him?"

"Well, Jake mentioned that yellow-eyes was getting an army. So he got to get them from somewhere." You voiced. "We got to figure out how yellow-eyes can get his army."

"Hold on, all right? You need to get your beauty rest." Dean advised you. "We got time, and Sam and Bobby are on it."

"Dean, we need all hands on deck for this case." You argued.

"Y/N, it's not like it's the end of the world, okay?" Dean scoffed. "Oceans aren't boiling, frogs aren't raining from the sky. We need you back to full-strength if you're gonna fight the demon with us."

"Did you guys ask Ash or Ellen if they knew anything?" You asked Dean.

"Yeah." Dean avoided your eyes as he went silent. You knew something was wrong.

"Dean, what happened?" You questioned.

"The Roadhouse was burned to the ground." Dean revealed as he sat down across from you. "Ash is dead, probably Ellen--a lot of other Hunters, too."

"Oh God!" You cried. "You think it was-"

"Yeah, we think so." Dean nodded. "We think it was because Ash found something."

"Did he say what he found?" You asked Dean.

"Bobby and Sam are working on that right now." Dean replied.

"Well, we should get over and help them." You suggested as you tried to get up ignoring the pain and soreness.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down, Y/N." Dean spoke as he supported you. 'You almost died in there. I mean, what would Sam and I have--" Dean started at you for a second. "You just take care of yourself for a little while, Okay? Just for a little bit, I promise."

"I'll rest once we get over to Bobby's, okay?" You suggested. "Until then you'll just have to keep an eye on me won't you?" You smiled as Dean helped you out to the car. Dean drove the Impala over to Bobby's place. Once you got there Dean knocked on the front door. When Bobby opened it he was speechless as he looked between you and Dean almost like he saw a ghost. "Hi Bobby, thanks so much for fixing me up." You smiled as you gave him a hug.

"Uh, no problem, Y/N." Bobby nodded as he hugged you back while He just stared at Dean. "It's good to...see you up and around."

"Hey, Bobby." Dean mumbled. Something felt off here.

"I'm sure Sam's gonna wanna see you." Bobby mentioned as you three walked into the foyer.

"Hey, Sam!" You beamed as you saw him in the study.

"Y/N..." Sam whispered as he dropped the papers he was holding. He stared at you in shock, like he was seeing a ghost.

"Are you okay, Sam?" You asked him. Sam ran up to you and hugged you tightly.

"I was so worried that you were gonna die." Sam cried. "I'm so sorry Y/N. You almost died trying to protect me." Sam cried into your hair.

"It's okay Sam, I'm fine. Don't blame yourself either." You smiled as you patted his back.

"Well, Y/N's better. And we're all back in it now, so...What do you know?" Dean shrugged. Bobby and Sam gave Dean concerned looks. You four gathered in the study to discuss what Sam and Bobby found.

"Well, we found something, but we're not sure what the hell it means." Bobby began.

"What is it?" You wondered.

"Demonic omens...like a tidal wave. We've got cattle deaths, lightning storms. They just appeared out of nowhere." Sam continued.

"Here." Bobby pointed at the map on the desk. "All around here except for one place--Southern Wyoming."

"Wyoming?" Dean questioned.

"Yeah." Sam nodded. 'That area is completely clean, no signs of omens at all." Sam shared.

"It's almost as if..." Bobby began.

"As if?" You urged them to continue.

"The demons are surrounding it." Sam finished.

"But you don't know why?" Dean questioned.

"No, and by this point, my eyes are swimming." Bobby mumbled.

"Can I take a look at it?" You asked.

"Be our guest, another pair of eyes always helps." Bobby agreed. "Sam, why don't you stay and help Y/N. I need to discuss something with Dean." Bobby suggested as he gave Dean a look and they went outside.

"Yeah." Dean nodded as they went outside.

"So how are you feeling, Y/N?" Sam asked you as you looked over the map together.

"There's a little pain, but I'm mostly just sore at this point." You answered. "Why?" You wondered as you looked up at him.

"It's just I really thought you were gonna die out there." Sam whispered.

"Well, I'm just glad I didn't. You guys came through for me again." You smiled as you looked back at the map.

While you and Sam were going over the map again, Bobby and Dean came back in the house with Ellen. Bobby poured her a drink while she explained to you guys what happened. "Bobby, is this really necessary?" Ellen scoffed.

"Just a belt of holy water. Shouldn't hurt." Bobby shrugged. Ellen downed the shot and slammed the glass on the table.

"Whiskey now, if you don't mind." Ellen ordered as she slid the glass back to Bobby.

"Ellen, what happened? How'd you get out?" Dean asked her.

"I wasn't supposed to. I was supposed to be in there with everybody else." Ellen scoffed. "But we ran out of pretzels, of all things." She continued as Bobby slid her a glass of whiskey. "It was just dumb luck." She spat as she drank the shot. "Anyway, that's when Ash called, panic in his voice." Ellen sighed. "He told me to look in the safe. Then the call out. By the time I got back, the flames were sky-high, and everybody was dead. I couldn't have been gone more than fifteen minutes."

"Sorry, Ellen." Sam apologized.

"A lot of good people died in there." Ellen cried. "And I got to live." She scoffed. "Lucky me."

"Ellen, you mentioned a safe." Bobby brought up.

"A hidden safe we keep in the basement." Ellen shared.

"Demons get what was in it?" Bobby questioned.

"No." Ellen shook her head as she pulled a map out of her jacket and unfolded it on the table.

"Wyoming?" You wondered as you noticed five black x's marked on the map.

"What does that mean?" Dean asked. You all started digging through books to find out what Ash's message meant.

"I don't believe it." Bobby muttered as he read one of his books.

"What? You got something?" Sam asked as you all gathered around Bobby.

"A lot more than that. Each of these X's is an abandoned frontier church--" Bobby revealed as he pointed to the X's on the map. "All mid-nineteenth century and all of them built by Samuel Colt."

"Wait, like the Colt, Samuel Colt?" You questioned.

"The one and only." Bobby nodded. "And there's more. He built private railway lines connecting church to church. It just happens to lay out like this." Bobby explained as he drew lines on the map connecting each church, forming a shape.

"Tell me that's not what I think it is." Dean mumbled.

"It's a devil's trap." Sam figured.

"That's one big devil's trap." You commented.

"Yeah, a hundred-square-miles." Sam nodded.

"That's brilliant. Iron lines demons can't cross." Dean remarked.

"I never heard of anything that massive." Ellen mentioned.

"No one has." Bobby stated.

"After all these years none of the lines are broken? It still works?" Dean asked Bobby.

"Definitely." Sam nodded.

"How do you know?" Dean questioned.

"Sam's right, all the omens Bobby found are surrounding the devil's trap. But they can't get anywhere inside it." You added.

"Yeah, well...they're trying." Bobby muttered.

"Why? What's inside?" Ellen asked.

"That's what I've been looking for, and, uh, there's nothing except an old cowboy cemetery right in the middle." Dean shared as he pointed to the middle of the devil's trap.

"Well, what's so important about a cemetery or..." Sam begun. "What's Colt trying to protect?"

"Maybe Colt wasn't trying to protect something, but keep something in?" You suggested.

"Oh, that's a comforting thought." Ellen sighed.

"Yeah, you think?" Dean nodded.

"Could they do it, Bobby? Could they get inside?" Sam wondered.

"This thing's so powerful, you'd practically need an A-bomb to destroy it. No way a full-blood demon gets across." Bobby responded. Then you remembered something.

"Jake." You whispered.

"Huh?" Dean questioned.

"He's gonna use Jake to break the devil's trap. Jake's superpower is strength, Sam and I saw him break iron with his bare hands in the town. He could definitely break the railway lines." You explained.

"Y/N's right, and he isn't a demon so he can cross them with ease." Sam added.  You five quickly made your way to the cemetery to set a trap for Jake so you could stop him from completing yellow-eye's plan. Once you got there you all hid behind the graves and waited for Jake to show up. As you waited night fell, and everything was dark around you. You heard footsteps enter the cemetery and walk past you. You readied your gun as you watched him approach the crypt. "Howdy, Jake." Sam greeted Jake as he came out of hiding and pointed his gun at Jake. Then Bobby and Ellen came out, then Dean, and then you. As you all surrounded him. Jake glanced at all of them until he saw you.

"Wait...Y/N. You were dead. I killed you." Jake whispered as he looked at you.

"Eh, yeah, well, you almost got me, but you didn't kill me enough." You shrugged as you aimed your pistol at him.

"I did. I was supposed to kill Sam, but you had to get in the way!" Jake shouted. "I cut clean through your spinal cord, Y/N." You paused for a second and looked over at Dean. Dean couldn't look you in the eye though, so you knew something was up. But now wasn't the time for that. "You can't be alive. You can't be."

"Okay, just take it real easy there, son." Bobby advised Jake.

"And if I don't?" Jake questioned.

"Wait and see." Sam hinted.

"What, you a tough guy all of a sudden?" Jake asked Sam. Sam shrugged. "What are you gonna do--kill me?"

"It's a thought." Sam spat.

"You had your chance. You couldn't." Jake scoffed.

"I won't make that mistake twice." Sam promised. Jake just laughed.

"What are you smiling at, you little b*tch?" Dean growled at Jake.

"Hey, lady." Jake started as he looked at Ellen. "Do me a favor. Put the gun to your head." Ellen's body started shaking as she put the gun against her head. Jake laughed. "See, that Ava girl was right. Once you give in to it, there's all sorts of new Jedi tricks you can learn."

"Let her go." Sam demanded Jake.

"Come on, Jake don't do this." You begged him.

"Shoot him." Ellen told you guys as her voice trembled.

"You'll be mopping up skull before you get a shot off." Jake warned you. "Everybody, put your guns down. Except you, sweetheart." You all dropped your guns on the ground. "Okay. Thank you." Everything happened so fast. You saw Jake go to open the crypt with the Colt Dean and Bobby grabbed Ellen and pulled the gun away from her before she could shoot herself. You and Sam quickly picked up your pistols and you unloaded your clip into Jake. Jake felt to the ground covered in bullet holes and bleeding out. You ran up to the door and pulled out the Colt, but it was too late. The crypt door was already unlocking. You turned around to see Sam standing over Jake about to shoot him again. "Please...don't." Jake gasped. "Please." Before you could say anything Sam shot him over and over and over. "Sam! That's enough! We need to stop that door from opening!" You shouted as you knocked him out of his daze. Dean, Bobby, and Ellen joined you and Sam at the gate.

"Oh, no." Bobby mumbled.

"Bobby, what is it?" Ellen asked him.

"It's hell." Bobby revealed as the door rattled. You handed the Colt to Dean as he walked up to you. "Take cover--now!" Bobby shouted as you dived away from the crypt. You crawled behind a gravestone as the door banged and banged. Then it flung open and hundreds off demons flew out into the sky above.

The wind was howling, and thunder crashed around you as the demons poured out of the gate. "What the hell just happened?!" Dean yelled over the wind.

"That's a Devil's gate, a damn door to hell!" Ellen yelled back as you all hid behind gravestones. "Come on! We got to shut that gate!" Sam, Ellen, and Bobby ran to shut the gate. You went about to join them when you felt that same presence again, from when your family was killed. You tried to look around and saw yellow-eyes walking towards the gate. You looked over at Dean and saw him looking at the Colt and saying something, but you couldn't make it out over the wind and the thunder. You saw a figure flash in and out of existence behind Dean.

"Dean behind you!" You yelled getting Dean's attention. He turned around as yellow-eyes appeared. He tried to shoot him, but yellow-eyes took the Colt from him and threw it across the graveyard.

"A boy shouldn't play with daddy's guns." Yellow-eyes smiled at Dean as he flung him across the graveyard. You looked back at the others as they tried to shut the gate then back at Dean. You decided to help Dean out. You fired a few bullets at Yellow-eyes to get his attention off Dean.

"Hey, As*-hole!" You shouted as Yellow-eyes turned towards you. He flicked his wrist and slammed you into the dirt.

"Oh if it isn't sweet little Y/N, back from the dead. Tell me do you kiss your mommy with that mouth?" Yellow-eyes sneered and mocked you as he lifted you off the ground by your neck and held you in the air. "Oh wait! That's right, your mommy's dead!"

"Dean! Y/N!" You heard Sam yell as he ran towards you. Yellow-eyes threw Sam against a tree and held him there.

"Sush, Sammy. I'll gt to you in a minute, champ. I'm proud of you--knew you had it in you, but the grown ups are talking." Yellow-eyes cooed before looking back at you. "You know, Y/N. I've got to give you credit you're a lot of a pain in the as* than I thought. If I knew you were this much trouble I would come back to give you demon blood."

"The hell-" You coughed as you tried to struggle against him.

"I have to thank you though, you really came in clutch. You saved my star player, my M.V.P. If it wasn't for you little Sammy wouldn't be here right now."

"Y-/N." You heard Dean growl as he tried to get up off the ground.

"But sadly, now that I have Sam you are of no use to me." Yellow-eyes sighed as he threw you behind him across the graveyard into one of the gravestones causing you to hit your head and become dazed. As you got up your head was pounding, but you noticed the Colt laying next to you, then you looked over and saw Yellow-eyes about to kill Dean. You picked up the Colt and slowly made your way closer to them. Then you saw John appear behind Yellow-eyes and stop him by grabbing him.

"Y/N! Do it now!" John yelled. You got up and aimed the Colt at Yellow-eyes as he turned to look at you while John was restraining him.

"Eat this you b*stard!" You screamed as you pulled the trigger, remembering your family and everyone else he killed. You watched as the bullet soared through the air and pierced Yellow-eyes through the skull. Then his body started glowing and crackling until he fell to the ground dead. Sam fell from the tree and you slowly made your way over to Sam and Dean. And Bobby and Ellen were able to close the gate stopping anymore demons from coming through. You all stared at John not sure what to do. Dean and Sam walked up to him as John smiled at them one last time before he disappeared.

You three stood over Yellow-eyes' corpse as the bullet hole from the Colt smoked still. "Well, check that off the to-do list." Dean quipped.

"You did it, Y/N." Sam breathed as he looked at you.

"No, we did." You corrected Sam. "John-"

"Do you think Dad really..." Sam began. "Do you think he really climbed out of Hell?" Sam asked Dean.

"The door was open. And if anyone's stubborn enough to do it...it would be him." Dean smirked.

"Where do you think he is now?" Sam wondered.

"I don't know." Dean shook his head.

"I can't believe it, guys. He's dead, it's over." You sighed a breath of relief.

"Our whole lives, everything...has been prepping for this, and now I..." Sam chuckled. "I don't know what to say."

"I do." Dean nodded. "That was for our mom and Y/N's family....you son of a b*tch." Dean growled as he knelt over Yellow-eyes corpse. As you three went back to the Impala you stopped.

"Dean, I have a few questions for you." You mumbled.

"Sure what's up?" Dean asked you.

"How many years?" You questioned.

"What are you talking about?" Dean asked you.

"Don't bullsh*t me! When Jake saw me it was like he saw a ghost. Same thing with Sam and Bobby. You heard him, yourself. He said he killed me, cut my spinal core. So I'll ask you again how many years?!" You yelled.

"Y/N, we just killed the demon, the one that killed our mom, your family. Can we celebrate for a minute?" Dean scoffed.

"Dean, please.." You begged him.

"Y/N..." Dean cried.

"When you made that deal to save me, how many years did you get?" You cried.

"One year." Dean answered. "I got one year."

"One year, you traded your soul and one year for my life?!" You sobbed.

"Yes, and I would do it again in a heartbeat." Dean stated. "I had to. I had to keep my promise to you."

"I don't care about that stupid promise, not if you die!" You cried. "How can I live with myself if you die for me?! I'll promise you this Dean, I don't care what it takes me. I'm gonna save you. I'll get you out of this deal."

"Yeah." Dean murmured.

"Well...Yellow-eyed demon, might be dead, but a lot more got through that gate." Ellen warned as she and Bobby joined you three at the car.

"How many, you think?" Dean asked her.

"Looked like a hundred, maybe two hundred." You commented.

"It's an army." Sam spoke. "He's unleashed an army."

"Hope to hell you three are ready." Bobby advised. "'Cause the war has just begun."

"Well, then..." Dean smiled as he opened the trunk and tossed the Colt in there. "We've got work to do." Dean smirked as he looked at you and Sam.

"Yeah I do." You whispered to yourself. You had to figure out a way to save Dean no matter what...
