3rd person POV
"Mama psst psssst! Mama! " Harry 'whispered', someone should really teach this kid how to whisper, Severus looks down at his son who was situated on his lap "Yes Harry?" Severus quietly asked the boy "When are we going to make potions? I'm booored" Harry whined, Remus watched with a smile "Well today we are just taking notes and researching" Severus' answer caused Harry to pout with a huff "Here how about you draw something for us Harry" Remus says handing Harry a piece of parchment, harry gleefully takes the parchment and grabs Severus' quill from his inkpot
"Don't worry I'll take notes for you sev-uh Snape" Remus flashed him a smile, Severus decides not to tell Remus he already knows everything about this potion and just nodded his head before turning back to watch Harry, "*gasp* you can't see yet mama!" Harry tried hiding his drawing with his arms, Severus huffed a laugh "Alright I won't look" he said averting his eyes to Professor Slughorn "Piiinky prrooomise?" Harry squinted up at him "Pinky promise" Severus glanced at Harry and smiled lifting his pinky to Harry, Harry giggled and linked his pinky with Severus' before uncovering his drawing and continuing.
"Pinky promise?" Remus hums with a faint smile "..." Remus sighs as his smile fell 'curse him and his stupid sad kicked werewolf puppy eye's' Severus thought "my mother and I did them when I was younger and then when I met Lily she and I started doing it too..." Severus mumbles Remus smile wide "thank you" "hm? What for?" Severus tilts his head "For telling me" Remus answers "It was hardly important or anything" Severus says "Still a pinky promise seems important to you and you seem happy Harry does it so thank you for letting me know a little more about you" Remus gives Severus soft eyes with a light smile, Severus feels his cheeks start to heat up and quickly turns back to Slughorn and Remus returns to his note taking.
A few minutes later Harry declares he's done, Severus turns "Am I allowed to see now?" He asks "Hmmm" Harry pretends to think tapping his chin before giggling "I'm just kidding! Of course mama can look!" Harry lifts the parchment for Severus to see
Severus' POV
taking a look at the drawing I noticed it's really good for a kid Harry's age 'though I wonder if I'm being biased...impossible my son is amazing and that's simply a fact, back to the drawing it's clearly me, Regulus, Lucius, Narcissa, and Bellatrix. We don't look exactly the same and we're on a platform probably a stage cici is playing the drums (there's writing on the drum, though I can't make out what it's supposed to say) Bella's playing a keyboard, Luci and reg are play a lead guitar and bass respectively and then there's me up in front with a microphone singing with a smile on my face'
"Aunty Lily and Aunty Bella have a paper with a picture just like this hanging up aunty Bella says it's of when Mama found his courage" Harry explains "My courage? " "Aunty Lily say she means Papa's" Harry states 'I suppose I do love them and..they love me... How odd' "sooo we're like your muse..'s?" Remus 'Stop that you're supposed to be upset with him!' Foolishly asked I stare blankly at him "Don't let it get to your head" Harry giggles as I take another parchment from Lupin "How about another drawing Harry?" I ask, carefully moving Harry drawing to the other side of the desk and placing the blank parchment in front of him "okey!" Harry cheers "And you keep taking notes, merlin knows you need it" I glare at Lupin who's smiling stupidly soft at us
James' POV (Oop🤭)
"I can't believe Remus sat with Snivellus! " Sirius raged "I know! And I can't believe he thought we wouldn't accept him for being friends with someone! " I cried "W-well if he's friendly with Sniv-Snape would you r-really be accepting?" Peter asks "Of course we would! We wouldn't like it but we'd accept!" I answer 'Siriusly what kinda question!' "M-maybe s-so but would y-you really or would you just s-say you are an-and bitch an m-moan about it? Be passive a-aggressive about it? " Peter continued nervously 'why does he always seem so nervous around us? Is there something we do that makes them feel uncomfortable with us? Like they can't fully trust us? Remus didn't even trust us enough to tell us he was a werewolf we just sorta figured it out'
"Shove off Peter we'd never let Remus feel like we wouldn't want to be friends with him anymore!" Sirius glared at Peter "But haven't we already? We did something o-or said something that made Remus feel that way that's why he befriended Snivvy in secret.. " I trail off "or maybe he realized Snivellus is not someone you want to be seen with!" Sirius leaned back and rolled his eyes "Look at Remus and t-tell me he's a-ashamed" Peter frowns and points to Remus and Snape up front. Snape was watching Slughorn while Remus was writing with a smile on his face and then there was Harry... Harry Potter my son 'My son I have a kid whose the cutest little kid in the world I know I would set the world on fire even give up my magic for him so why can't I just play nice?' I watch as Snape gives Remus a small smile and a huff of laughter 'Oh...that's why.. Because nothing I ever do makes him smile no matter how hard I try, it's my own fault really I know that and now I continue to dig my own grave -I sigh- that's definitely something in should work out'
Sirius' POV
Watching Remus, Harry, and Sniv-Snape I feel jealous 'This is mad! How could I feel jealous over Snivellus Slytherus!? Who does he think he is?! I mean why in the bloody hell doesn't he like me!? I'm amazing! I'm a Gryffindor! I come from a wealthy family! I'm strong! I have amazing hair! I'm so handsome it should be a crime! I'm a quidditch player! SO WHY DOESN'T HE LIKE ME!? ' I cross my arms and glare at Snape "Maybe he's pretending I don't know! Merlin I certainly would!" I throw my hands up "-5 points from Gryffindor Mr black I suggest you calm down" Slughorn (ejaculates-im sorry 💀) announces "Sorry" I mumble 'but I have a kid with him right? So that means he'll end up realizing my greatness!' Peter sighs "I think you t-two still have m-more to figure out but a-at least start b-by calling him s-snape and not snivellus" Peter turns back to his notes
"That is the least you can do" a voice pipes up from behind us (and a little to the left) "Bellatrix"-S "Sirius"-B " Evans!"-J "Potter '-'."-L ((" Peter! =) "-R " Regulus :) "-P " Peter? Regulus?" '_'?-S"yes Sirius those are our names =|"-R)) "anyways the absolute least you dunderheads can do is say his name-" "in a not mocking tone" Lily cuts Bellatrix off (I just lost three fucking paragraphs 😭💀) "We can't just randomly start saying his name! " James cried "fine! Then start by not pulling 'pranks' on him! Start by not poking fun at him! Start by just leaving him Alone!" Evans raged "Merlin only knows why sev ends up loving you arseholes" Bellatrix shook her head and sighed "After you git's manage that then start saying his damn name" Evans sighs like she's exhausted 'she probably is.. To see your best friend constantly being made a joke and no one no adult really doing anything and you not being able to do much must be tiring...' "Okay" James says "Okay? " I turn to James "Yeah we'll stop and slowly give sniv- uh s-snape a reason to trust us so he'll never doubt we love him in the future" James explains "alright" I shrug
"promise me" Evans demands "Okay sure I promise" I chuckle "I promise too" James says seriously "No pinky promise" Evans says with a straight face and holds her pinky out "what are we five?" I ask crossing my arms "sev and Lils have done this since they met, Pinky promises are very important to Sev so I suggest you never mock it in front of him" Bellatrix smirks "siriously? Pinky promises? " I raise my eyebrow "Sirius just do it" James says linking his pinky with Evans "Good now potter repeat after me, I James Potter" Evans instructs "I James Potter" James repeats "Promise to never intentionally" "Promise to never intentionally" " hurt severus snape" Evans finished "hurt severus snape" James finishes, Bellatrix pull out her wand and points at their linked pinkies "roseus digitus promitto" (it mean pink finger promise in Latin) a silver string thing flows out of her wand and ties around their pinkies before fading "what was that? " I glare suspiciously at Bellatrix "A rendition of an unbreakable vow" she stated "WHAT!?" I screech "MR.BLACK! 10 points from Gryffindor! There are only 20 minutes before class is over please try to hold in your nonsense until then" Slughorn says angrily "Bloody hell" I grumble and settle down "Good thank you Mr. Black" Slughorn goes back to teaching "What do you mean unbreakable vow? " James asks Evans "well not rendition per se more like a safe remake, if you break the promise you'll have three days of bad luck really bad luck and the person you made the promise with their pinky will glow alerting them of the broken promise then that person can decide if or what they want to do" Evans explains "I've never heard of this spell" James turns to me confused "I've never heard of a safe unbreakable vow" I say shaking my head "that's because sev and his mum made it" Bellatrix announces proudly crossing her arms
james POV
Evans nods clearly proud as well "Wow how?" I ask "That's a story for Sev to tell" Evans answers "If he ever trusts you enough to tell it" Bellatrix snide's "Your turn black" Evans turns to Sirius "fine" Sirius links pinkies with Evans "I Sirius Black" Evans starts "I Sirius Black" Sirius repeats "Promise to never" "Promise to never" "Prank, belittle or hurt" 'huh Sirius' promise is different than mine' "prank, belittle or hurt" "Severus snape" "severus snape" they finish as Black points her wand at their pinkies "roseus digitus promitto" another silver sting floats out of the tip of her wand wrapping around their pinkes and tying itself into a bow before disappearing
Severus' POV
Glancing back I see Lily and Bella talking to Potter and Black
Black's pinky is intertwined with Lily's 'pinky promise? What are they promising?' I shake my head and turn back to slughorn 'it none of my business.... But what could lily possibly be making them promise to? Why would potter and black even agree to make a pinky promise? of I would assume it's something idiotic but it's Lily and Bella though Bella would probably promise something dumb but lily only does serious pinky promises... Potter and Black probably mock them before doing it' my mouth twists into a frown 'how in the name of Merlin did I ever have a child with those gits? They think I'm evil! They think all of Slytherin is evil! What if harry get sorted into Slytherin!? Would they think my son is vile?! I swear to merlin if they ever say or even think something like that about MY son I'll show them how evil Slytherin can be! Voldemort is dead! He died four years ago! He hardly even did anything! And not ALL of his followers were Slytherin! There was some Ravenclaw! But No because he was Slytherin and I'll admit A lot of his followers were Slytherin, ALL Slytherin are evil! I mean what do they think we'll do!? Raise him from the dead!? That's utterly ridiculous!'- "Mama!" A small voice snapped me out of my thoughts
"yes harry?" I look down him "were you in your head? " harry was frowning "in my head? I apologize harry" I smile apologetically at him "it's okey! Daddy always makes you a cup o' tea and asks if you wanna talk about it while cuddling you" Harry explains with a smile "he does, does he? And what does papa do?" I can't help but ask "well papa will usually just sit with you and hold your hand sometimes you'll lay down on papa's lap and papa'll read to you" harry says causing me to smile and blush lightly 'this isn't as disgusting of a picture as I thought it would be' "what about me? What do I do harry? " Remus buts in "you make mama carrot cake and give him one of the animals and cuddle him" 'seems this lot is a cuddly bunch' I sigh with a smile
"you like carrot cake?" Remus asks "you know how to make carrot cake? " I retort (just read some fics to find a easier writing style for reading so I'll be trying to switch to that let me know what you all prefer! 💙)
"No but I suppose I learn" Remus shakes his head, my heart beats faster 'di-did he learn for me?.... No no way that's too hopeful too lovely'
"Let's hope you learn well" I reply
"Papa makes amaaaazing carrot cake! Chiara loooves dad's carrot cake!" Harry drones happily
"Who's Chiara?" I ask 'is Chiara a friend?'
"She's -" "-class dismissed! " harry gets cutoff by professor slughorn
Packing everything I carefully grab Harry's first drawing "have you finished your second drawing harry?"
"Mhm! But I wanna show you and papa's! " harry hid the drawing against his body
"Alright how about you show us after dinner? " I smile
"Okey! " harry cheered as I pick him up"oh harry what was you were saying about Chiara? "Remus asks
" uhhhh I can't remember "harry said looking away and resting his head on my shoulder 'hm he clearly lying and upset why? Perhaps he misses her?'
" Sev! Lupin and you most be little harry!" Lily excitedly walked over to us with Bella in tow, harry gasps "Hi aunty lily! Aunty Bella!" Harry perked up
"Did you hear that Bella we're aunties!" Lily cheered "lily please calm down" I say smiling fondly
"I can't help it! It's just so surreal! You have a baby!" Lily was smiling wide looking a tad bit emotional "I'm just so happy for you sev, it looks like you had nothing to worry about" lily explains softly
I sigh my smile now having a hint of sadness "yes it does seem like I had nothing to worry about"
"We should start heading to transfigurations we've only got 2 minutes" Bella says "actually we've got eight minutes" Remus chimes in 'I almost forgot about him'
"I suppose we should still get going" I say grabbing my bag "here I'll get that for you" Remus says while taking my bag
"How chivalrous lupin" walking I spare him a passing glance (I'm sorry I was watching SpongeBob while writing)
