Luke walked through the corridor of the Institute and knocked on the door of Alec’s office. “Come in.”
Luke entered. “Mr. Inquisitor.”
“How was Brazil?” Alec asked to him.
“Humid.” Luke replied to him.
“My mother hates humidity.” Alec comment.
“Oh, but she loves the beaches.” Luke smiled. “Have you ever seen your mom on a paddleboard? She is a vision.”
“Luke, thank you.” Alec thanked him.
Then, Luke sat down across from Alec. “Yeah. You know, I never thought I’d see the day. Deputized Downworlders working hand in hand with Shadowhunters? It’s amazing.”
“The Clave has come a long way.” Alec comment.
Luke pointed at him. “Thanks to you.”
“I had a little help.” Alec smiled.

Magnus was on the phone with someone who’s asking for his services. “Wards repair? Yeah, I’m pretty booked up, but I think I might be able to fit something in.” He picked up his agenda. “Everyone’s been recalibrating their wards lately to allow for Downworlders. Uh… ah. How about Tuesday at 3 p.m.? See you then, sir.” Magnus hang up and writes down his appointment in his agenda.
Just then, Marley walked in with Aiden. “How is the High Warlock of Alicante?”
“It’s great.” Magnus replied to her.
Then Alec walked in and asked then all. “Thirsty?”
“Yes, but no alcohol.” Marley rubbed her stomach, she’s five months along with their second child.
“You read my mind.” Magnus comment, happily. He could use a drink.
Alec poured Marley, Magnus and himself a drink. Magnus’ cell phone started vibrating. “Busier than ever, dad?” Marley asked.
Magnus pressed a button so it stopped buzzing. “It’s been ringing off the hook like that all day. But I have much better things to do.” Then, he throws his pen and paper away behind him and toom one of the drinks.
“Paper.” Aiden exclaimed, looking at the flying paper.
Marley laughed at her son. “Cute.”
“To our family.” Alec told them.
“To our family.” Marley added.
Magnus looked at them. “To our family.”
Then they clinked their glasses and took a sip smiling.

Maia and the pack had transforming the Jade Wolf into a new place for a new start, Taki’s Diner. Maia was sitting at a table with Simon who took a sip of the shot Maia’s offered him. “Mmm.”
“Is it too rich?” Maia asked to him.
Simon shook with his head. “No, no, it’s really good.”
“We have varieties of reds on the menu.” Maia comment. “I just wanted something that would get vampires excited about coming to a former werewolf haunt.”
“Definitely.” Simon looked at her. “So you actually… You own the place now?”
Maia looked at him. “Yeah, the paperwork just came back. I had hoped it would be sooner, but it turns out, you know, being alpha of a growing wolf pack doesn’t leave a lot of time for opening a restaurant.”
“Well, I know one thing. Seelies are gonna love this,” Simon pointed at the menu. “the guppies on a bed of water lily. I mean, I think they will.”
“And if they don’t love it, I will find something that they do love. The whole point of this place is bringing vampires, werewolves, Seelies and warlocks together, so they can put aside their differences and enjoy a good meal.”
“Yeah. I still don’t get the name, though. Why ‘Tacki’s’? ‘Taki’s’?”
“I used to have a golden retriever named Taki…”
“Taki.”
“…when I was a kid, and he would eat anything. What about you? How’s your book coming along?”
“Ooh! I finally came up with a title. Unseen World: The Divine Implements by Ezekiel J. Russo.”
“Ooh! Nice pen name.”
“I wish I could use my name, though. Clary would be really excited to see that the graphic novel we started working on so long ago was finally finished.”
“I bet she would also be excited about this.” Maia pointed at ‘Fairchild Burrata Salad’ on the menu. “I wish she could try it, tell me what she thinks.”
Just then, Bat entered and put a bag on the table. “Hey, Simon. I have that to-go order for you. I threw in one of Maia’s homemade cookies. They’re the best.”
“Thank you.” Simon comment to him. “That reminds me, I’ve gotta go. I’m gonna be late.” Then he stood up and picked up the bag.
“Okay.” Maia laughed when Simon downed the shot she gave him before he went.

Izzy entered the Center talking with Underhill. “What about the Shax demons in Chelsea?”
“Banished without incident. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.” Underhill replied to her.
“And the Drevaks in Long Island?”
“The hunt continues.”
“Don’t stop until they’re gone. Is that clear?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Just then, Simon entered and run up to Izzy. “Dinner has arrived. Sorry I’m late.” Underhill smiled and walks away.
“You’re too sweet.” Izzy leaned in and they kissed.
“Careful.” Simon looked at Izzy. “If anyone sees the Head of the Institute kissing one of her Downworld deputies, there could be some trouble.”
“I’ll take my chances.” Izzy comment. “And you better get going. You know your trainer doesn’t like it when you’re late. And Head of the Institute or not, I can’t pull any more strings for you.”
“Okay.” Simon gave her a quick kiss and then was off to his training.

Jace and Simon were training fighting with sticks. “If you’d let me use vamp speed, I would have beat you the very first time.”
“You gotta learn how to fight correctly first. It’s not all about speed.” Jace charged for Simon and then booped him on the nose. “Boop, boop.”
They continued fighting. Then they slammed their sticks against each other. “When do I get to use real swords?” Simon asked.
“When you can beat me with sticks.” Jace replied to him.
“You mean today?” Simon asked to him.
Jace pushed his sticks against Simon’s. “Boop, boop.” Simon pushed Jace’s sticks away. They continued fighting, then Jace punched Simon with his elbow in his back. Simon rolled over the ground, then stood up and used his vamp speed to get behind Jace.
Jace jumped over Simon backwards and held his stick at Simon’s neck. “Maybe not.” Simon comment.
Jace patted Simon on the shoulder, then he put the sticks away. “I gotta say, all that work is paying off. If any other Shadowhunter was training you, you’d have beaten ’em by now.” Simon had a look on his face. “What?”
“You’ve been sneaking out at night to keep tabs on her again, haven’t you?” Simon asked to him.
“No.” Jace walked away.
“Jace, I’ve seen you.” Simon told him.
Jace turned back to Simon. “What? What have you seen me?”
“Go to her apartment, her school.” Simon looked at him. “I have vamp speed, remember?”
Jace sighed. “Look, it’s not a problem. She doesn’t have the Sight anymore and I’m always glamoured.”
“No, Jace, it is a problem.” Simon looked at him. “How many times do we have to do this? Look, it takes every ounce of willpower that I have not to check up on her myself. But there’s nothing we can do. Her Shadow World memories are gone. She doesn’t remember us. You read the note that she left. Anything we do to try to change it, it’s against the will of the Angel and it could make it worse.”
Jace’s voice was breaking, tears in his eyes. “You know, I pray every day… every day to the angels that they will see that our love is stronger than their spite.”
“I know how much you’re hurting.” Simon told him. “But she’d want you to move on, to find someone else.”
“There is no one else.” Jace comment.
Simon went to Jace and put his hand on his shoulder. “You have to let her be, Jace. You have to.” Simon walked away.

The Academy was having an art exhibit. A woman was admiring works that Clary painted. “I love this. Are all of your works abstract?”
“Most of ’em.” Clary replied to her. “It’s like I have these feelings and stories inside that are trying to surface but I can’t quite make ’em out. So the closest I can do is paint the feelings.”
“Well, whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.” The woman comment. Then, Jace had entered the exhibit and was watching Clary from a distance.
“Thank you for coming.” Clary thanked her as then the woman walked away, Clary spotted Jace leaning against the column. Jace looked behind him to see what Clary’s looking at.
Clary approached him. Jace took a couple steps back, confused. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to spook you.”
“You can see me.” Jace stated.
“Yeah, of course I can see you.” Clary comment.
Then, Jace shook his head in disbelief and then he walked away.
-----------------------------------------------------
Clary came running after Jace, who’s walking through the alley behind the Academy. “Hey! Hey, I’m talking to you.” Jace stopped walking and turned around. “Don’t I know you from somewhere?”
“No, I don’t think so.” Jace replied to her.
“No, I do.” Clary looked at him. “I definitely do. I… You’re Jace, right?”
Jace broke into a soft smile. “Yeah. Yeah, I’m Jace.”
Clary looked at him. “I’m Clary. Um…” They both chuckle, then Clary spotted part of a rune on Jace’s neck. “What are these tattoos on your neck?” Clary touched Jace’s neck and pulled his shirt down a little. Jace smiled, so did Clary.

Marley looked at the book what that was in her hands, reading the prophesy.
When true love dies, another will take a stand
With eyes so blue and a mark that lay upon their heart
A soulmate with hair as dark as the night sky
But the cost of love must play its part
For while every story has a beginning and an end
Full of true love and a soulmate
They only hope for a single child
Though their game of life hinges on fate
When a clever thinking woman can stand in their way
But they can make it, they can have a happy ending, an immortal, happy ending
Then she sighed, looking at the words. “Nobody needs to know, nobody.”
