Cat and mouse game

Summary:

Yut spots someone across the room and decides to have some fun.

Work Text:

Yut-Lung wasn’t usually one to judge too harshly that being said as he looked across from the room at the redhead something seemed off. Her outfit was everything to be expected from such an event flawless to the final detail and not a hair out of place yet something about her made his hair stand slightly. She walked as if she owned the place and her footsteps were as quiet as his, a trained art in order to get close to unsuspecting prey. Her gaze was like his own cold and calculating, something not easily acquired. He frowned a bit as Sing followed his gaze and watched the redhead.
“Go see if Blanca is here…” He whispered as his subordinate nodded slightly before slipping off into the crowd.

Their gazes met and he gave a coy smile, his eyes harsh as he took a sip of his drink. Her gaze was equally as harsh as she glanced at him occasionally as the men she was speaking to continued their conversation. He smirked as he tilted his head to the side as he walked away. He’d play this game. Glancing over his shoulder the redhead seemed to follow him as Sing nodded from afar seeing his boss slip away.

The pair practically played cat and mouse as she kept close, never letting him go too far away from her gaze as they moved through the hall making it to a balcony.
“You’re good.” He hummed as he leaned against the railing. The redhead nodded as she stood in front of him.
“Likewise.” Her accent was off, still American but something else hinted in it. He smirked as he stood straight.
“So what brings you here?” He hummed as he glanced behind her spotting Blanca talking to a familiar billionaire playboy who was invited.
“Nothing in particular. I was invited.” She replied as he shrugged.
“I’m sure there’s more than that.” He stated as he watched the billionaire spare a glance at them. “A lover perhaps,” She didn’t give an indication, just raised an eyebrow. “maybe work related?” He continued as Blanca glanced at him. He was right.
“Not particularly.” She replied as he sipped his drink. He eyed her again noting the small earpiece in her ear which most wouldn’t especially if they were already a few cocktails deep.

He smirked as he made his move. He walked over as he leaned into her ear and whispered.
“Who are you with?” He asked, looking into her eyes. She didn’t flinch, just scowled. He gave her a coy smile as she took a step back to give them some distance.
“It’s none of your concern.” She stated as he shrugged with a smirk.
“It is. Especially if it means I can make some of these kingpins fold.” He stated flicking his hair over his shoulder. She gave him a look of distrust as he hummed.
“I’ve got dirt on almost all these men. It works for me to tell you as it means I don’t have to throw my men out and you get the information.” She was silent for a moment, likely listening to whoever was on the other end of the earpiece.
“Who are you?” She asked as he smirked.
“Just call Yousis.” He stated as he gave her a smirk.

The redhead was warily trusting of him as he hummed and played with his hair.
“Who’s your target, Miss spy?” He asked as she glared at him. She glared and gestured her head to the side. Glancing over he spotted the official. He hummed and smiled as he told her. “Him? It’ll be easier to get him on possession charges. He keeps his documents in a book he wrote called ‘Secrets of Scrolls’ under an alias of his.” He hummed as he walked past her back to Blanca who had Sing at his side.

Glancing back the redhead was glaring but she made her way over putting back her facade as Yut smiled, he knew he’d like this new player. It was someone to keep him on his toes. He smiled as he slipped his arm into Blanca and the other into Sing’s. The man in front looked a bit shocked as Blanca shook his head while Sing chuckled.
“Come let’s leave, I have classes in the morning.” Sing was about to say something but quickly shut up as he met his gaze and nodded.

The trio left as Blanca let go of him shaking his head.
“What was that about?” He questioned as he smirked.
“Just got bored of my new opponent. Her and her arm piece are better in small doses, is all.” He chuckled out as Sing shook his head letting out a sigh as the car pulled in front. Hopping in he caught the redhead slip back into the building clearly following him. He knew he liked this game, but now he just needs the name of her. That however can wait until next time.
