“Can you please stop now? I love you. You know I do. But if I hear one more bad pun, I am going to die.”
“They’re not bad,” Abby argues. “And I’m practicing my material for Tessa’s bat mitzvah! Jew can’t emcee a bat mitzvah and not tell terrible jokes all night!”
Kristy narrows her eyes. “You just did one.”
“Did I? Oy didn’t even notice, it just schlepped right in there. Are you sure?”
Kristy sits up and pulls Abby onto the mattress. “I’ve been listening to a latke bat mitzvah jokes this afternoon, so I’m pretty sure, yeah.”
