Chapter Text
Everybody woke up after two hours and felt fresh as if they had taken five whole baths in cold water. Its funny how just two hours of amazing sleep can make you feel that fresh.
Percy winced as he tried to get up with left arm. His back and arm hurt worse now and he had a feeling that it was going to be even worse when he woke up the next day. He couldn’t even flex his left arm too much even if it was stiff. He wondered how Hermes was doing and how Mr. D was doing. He sighed and got up from his bed with the help of his right arm and went outside.
“How are you doing, son?” Poseidon asked worriedly.
“I’m doing great.” Percy said.
“I find that hard to believe.” Triton said with raised eyebrows.
“I’m fine.” Percy chuckled.
“That means you’re not.” Amphitrite said amusedly. Percy laughed.
“I’m fine. Really.” He said.
“Yay.” Tyson grinned. He frowned when he saw Percy’s left arm and then gave him a hug from the right side and was careful of Percy’s back. Percy grinned and tried to hug Tyson back with his right arm as well.
Then there was a huge earthquake…again. The sea gang turned to look at Poseidon and then Percy who shook their heads.
“What now?” Percy shouted and just sat down on the couch. When the earthquake finally stopped, everybody rushed out from all the quarters. Then he held a note.
“Oh brilliant.” He said when he read it. He sounded quite genuine when he said it was brilliant.
“What?” Nico asked
“The fates say that we’ve been sent back into our time because they cannot turn us into gods in the past. They say that now that we’ve prevented the war, they’re gonna be taking away our memories of just the wars in the books. So again, we’re going to remember each other and the relationships but just not the traumatic events. They’re just leaving the memories of the battle of the labyrinth and the battle of Manhattan but they’re taking away the memories of the other traumatic events which happen later. Like before, we still remember our friends and family and relationships and important moments in those relationships.” Percy explained
“Honestly, that sounds sweet.” Michael chuckled.
“I like it.” Silena agreed.
“Well, it’s a whole different feeling to be back in your time.” Annabeth nodded.
“All right. So its still not the next day, so you all have some time to go over some decisions.” Apollo said to the demigods.
“I’m sorry but what decisions?” Jason asked with raised eyebrows.
“Well, not exactly decisions but if you want to make some changes and all.” Apollo corrected.
“Can we get tattoos without losing the ability to donate blood for a year?” Leo asked excitedly. Apollo nodded.
“Yep. You can do that now or later on as well. We have special tattoos.” He grinned.
“Oh that’s lit.” Leo laughed.
“Could we renounce our last names?” Jason asked quietly. Apollo’s grin dropped and his face turned into a serious one. Zeus sighed.
“You could.” Apollo said. “Think about it.” He said with a small smile. Jason nodded.
“Oh and all of you should know that when you’re all turned into gods, you’re looks might be a little more aligned to your godly parent’s than your mortal ones.” Apollo added.
“How much more?” Castor asked
“Just a little bit. There won’t be much of a difference between your current looks and the looks you’re going to have after being turned.” Apollo chuckled.
“And your voice might change a little as well.” Dionysus added.
“Sounds like puberty.” Percy muttered
“This time its going to be for both boys and girls.” Apollo said with an amused expression.
“Brilliant.” Thalia sighed.
“And let me guess all of our voices might crack too?” Nico asked.
“For some time only.” Apollo admitted.
“All of us?” Piper asked with a horrific expression on her face. Apollo nodded. The demigods groaned and the gods couldn’t help but chuckle at how miserable they all looked.
“Its not funny!” Percy protested. There were a few snickers and the demigods pouted.
Luke’s death was still fresh on some people’s minds but currently the changes were the things that they were thinking about. Mostly. Some people were trying to figure out how they were feeling about Luke and eventually most of them just came to the same conclusion. He had done bad things and at the end he made the right choice. It was a redemption arc.
Hermes couldn’t help but think he had lost not one but two sons but there was one memory which was even more fresh in his mind which was the Stolls and Chris just sitting next to him and making sure that he was all right and just being there for him every time and being there when he needed somebody the most. He was shaken out of his thoughts by Leo talking.
“When can we get the tattoos?” he asked.
“Whenever you want.” Ares said with a smirk.
“I’m down for that right now.” Leo grinned.
“Anybody else?” Apollo asked.
“Mom’s gonna kill me but…” Percy grinned sheepishly and raised his hand. Nico raised it and so did Jason and Thalia. Reyna raised hers and so did the Stolls and Clarisse and Frank.
“Oh wow.” Demeter said in surprise
“This is gonna be fun.” Apollo chuckled. They all grinned and rushed to the Apollo quarters where Apollo pulled out the special tattoo ink.
“What do you want on the tattoos?” he asked
“A skull?” Nico said
“That’s kinda obvious.” Thalia snorted.
“So?” Nico defended himself.
“Add something to the skull.” Percy suggested
“Like?” Nico asked
“You could add some smoke coming out of the mouth.” Hades suggested. Everybody turned to look at him.
“Oh that’s gonna be amazing.” Nico grinned.
“Perce, I know just the tattoo for you.” Jason grinned
“Really? I thought about going with some wave designs.” Percy raised his eyebrows.
“You could get the quote ‘as calm as the ocean but as devastating as it becomes’ with some wave designs below the text.” Jason said. Percy grinned widely.
“Yeah. That makes sense.” He said.
“Mhm.” Will agreed.
“Oh shut up.” Percy groaned. Will chuckled.
“I’m just getting one of those animated lightning bolts on the side of the back of my neck.” Jason said with a shrug.
“That should look good.” Percy nodded.
“Is this gonna hurt?” Leo asked who was getting a ‘HOT STUFF’ tattoo with a flame below it.
“Nope.” Apollo grinned.
“I’m getting any tattoo I ever want from here.” Clarisse declared. Ares grinned at her. All the demigods sat down and Ares and Apollo went around making their tattoos wherever they wanted. As Percy obviously couldn’t get one on his left shoulder, he went with his right.
“There you all go.” Apollo grinned.
“Okay. That looks amazing.” Frank admitted, looking at the bear paw tattoo on his muscle.
“Is there some rules we should follow with these tattoos for some time?” Percy asked. Apollo shook his head.
“That’s not needed.” He said.
“Oh man. This kind of ink is what everybody needs.” Thalia said with a grin. Apollo and Ares grinned.
“How does my tattoo look?” Jason asked.
“That suits you.” Zeus said with a small smile. Jason grinned.
“You really did get the smoke effect really well.” Nico grinned.
“Thank you.” Apollo said, giving an over dramatic bow which made everybody laugh.
“I just want to go and sit on the sand now.” Percy said. The rest of the sea gang looked at Tyson and Hephaestus who nodded.
“Piper, you wanna go out today?” Jason asked with a grin. Piper turned a little red but grinned and nodded.
“You bet.” She said. Jason grinned widely.
“First official date since you guys got back together.” Leo said with raised eyebrows. The two of them nodded.
“Which reminds me.” Travis smirked. “Connor, we need to talk.” He said. Chris laughed and nodded. Katie chuckled. Connor looked freaked out as the three of them dragged him out. The others were just laughing or chuckling at them.
“When are you going to ask Lou out?” Chris asked with a mischievous smirk.
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Connor stammered, his face tomato red. Travis turned around a little to see all the Greek campers just peeking out from the Apollo quarters and he chuckled.
“Come on. She likes you. A lot.” Katie said.
“And you like her too.” Travis added with a wink.
“She likes me?” Connor asked
“Its kinda obvious. The whole camp knows.” Chris deadpanned. Connor turned even redder.
“I could always send her a phone so you could call or of course, you could IM.” Hermes said with a grin as he walked out from the quarters.
“Come on man. We’re not gonna misguide you. She told Katie that she liked you but Katie didn’t know if you liked her.” Chris said.
“I could’ve told him that myself.” Katie grumbled. Chris grinned sheepishly at her.
“Are you sure?” Connor asked.
“Yes!” The campers all shouted from behind, unable to keep it quiet. Connor jumped and looked at them. His face was even redder than two tomatoes combined.
“Fine.” Connor said as he blushed.
“IM?” Hermes asked. Connor nodded. Hermes grinned.
Connor created the fountain with Percy’s help who had told him that he won’t be able to hold it too long because of being a little tired with the amount of blood he had lost and the volcano he had erupted. Connor tossed in the drachma and requested for Lou Ellen.
The mist swayed a little and focused on the Hecate cabin where Lou sat, trying to study some tricks for pranks.
“Hey Lou!” Connor called out. Lou jumped a little and turned around and her face broke into a grin.
“Connor! How are you doing?” she grinned.
“I’m doing okay. Hey, you got any ideas for pranks coming up in the book of yours?” Connor grinned. His face was red and very noticeable but nobody said anything and he tried to look like it didn’t show. Connor hoped that Lou’s cabin mates weren’t there or if they were then they would stay quiet or out of the frame of the IM.
“Oh you bet. There are some pranks that even you never imagined could’ve happened.” Lou said mischievously. Somewhere next to Connor, Chiron paled. Hermes grinned.
“I like this girl.” He whispered to Annabeth who snickered and nodded.
“Everybody at camp knows that they like each other.” Annabeth whispered back. Hermes chuckled.
“Hey um so I wanted to ask you something.” Connor said. Everybody saw Lou perk up a little and Connor’s face go redder as he noticed it as well.
“I like you. Like, really like you. I have for a long time. Or rather since the two of us pulled a prank on the Nike kids. And I hope that you like me too and would go out with me?” Connor asked. Everybody chuckled quietly as they saw how awkward Connor was feeling. They all just gave him encouraging looks even though he wasn’t looking at them and probably even forgot that they existed. Lou had turned red by now but there was a grin across her face.
“I like you too. A lot. And I’d love to go out with you.” She said. Connor grinned widely then and then he and Lou jumped as they heard squeals and cheers from the rest of the Hecate campers.
“FINALLY!” One of them yelled. Then everybody burst out laughing and the demigods at Olympus cheered as well. The Hecate campers must have realized who the other gang who was cheering was and even they joined in on the laughter.
“It’s about time.” One of them chuckled.
“The whole camp knew.” Pollux chuckled.
“Well they’re betting on you as well.” One of the other Hecate campers grinned at Pollux who went red.
“What now?” Castor asked with a wide grin.
“Who?” Dakota asked
“Ah that bet. Yep. I have like 20 drachmas bet on them.” Percy grinned.
“Who?” Dakota asked again with an excited grin. Dionysus’ eyebrows were raised as well.
“Caleb. Son of Hebe.” Pollux said, his face bright red.
“We all have 20 drachmas on when they’re getting together.” Will informed with a grin.
“I hate you guys.” Pollux grumbled.
“No, you love us.” Castor grinned.
“Come on now. Make this a common day. Even Connor finally asked Lou out.” The Hecate camper grinned.
“I’ve called Caleb. He’s on his way.” Lou said with a goofy smirk. Pollux’s eyes widened. Caleb, the son of Hebe then came into focus in the Hecate cabin.
“Hey Pollux.” Caleb said, a little shyly with a smile.
“Hey Cal.” Pollux smiled.
“I wanted to ask you something.” Caleb said even more shyly. The demigods’ eyes widened.
“Yeah?” Pollux said with a red face.
“Would you go out with me?” Caleb asked quickly.
“You bet.” Pollux grinned. There was another round of cheers from both sides and Dionysus and Hermes smiled.
“When do you wanna go on a date?” Pollux asked Caleb.
“I don’t think we need a first date. The time in the strawberry fields was better than any formal date.” Caleb smiled. Pollux blushed and the others wolf whistled.
“What about you, Lou?” Connor asked Lou who grinned and chuckled.
“Same for me. The pranks were better than any formal date.” She said. Connor grinned.
“Well then, we’re going to be going on a lot of dates if you count those.” He said. Everybody laughed good naturedly.
“Now we have only three people left to ask their crushes out.” Silena said with a grin.
“Yep. Lee, Michael and Castor. You guys have to ask your crushes out too.” Travis said with a grin. The Hecate campers nodded.
“They don’t know what we did.” Nico smiled to Percy who nodded with a grin.
“I already asked mine out some time ago. She said yes.” Michael grinned. Everybody cheered.
“Same here.” Lee admitted. The cheers got louder. Michael and Lee had already told the demigods at Olympus when they were getting their tattoos and everybody had already wolf whistled for the two of them.
“Castor’s due to Elliot ask then.” Lou said. Castor turned bright red.
“Son of mine?” Aphrodite asked with a smile. Castor nodded.
“Oh he likes you a lot.” She said.
“Mom! Lets not give away his secrets!” Piper said. Aphrodite chuckled.
“Could you send him a phone?” Castor asked Hermes who nodded with a smile.
“He’s got it.” The god said. Castor grinned, took his number and called Elliot. He went off somewhere to talk and came back five minutes later with a grin. Everybody cheered and high fived Connor, Pollux, Lee, Michael and Castor. The Hecate campers cheered as well and then cut the message.
“Well, today is all of yours ‘get together anniversary.’ Congrats!” Piper grinned. The five demigods laughed.
“That’s quite funny but nice.” Castor grinned.
“That was certainly interesting to see.” Dionysus said with a smile. Everybody chuckled.
“Okay, um, I got to go.” Jason said a little awkwardly. Everybody nodded. Jason went off to the deck and sat down. He was joined by Thalia a few moments later.
“Hey.” She said and plopped down next to him. Jason nodded.
“I know what you’re thinking about.” She said.
“I know you do.” Jason replied. “Do you think I should do it?” he asked.
“That’s your decision, Jase. I’m doing it. I’ve never gone by ‘Grace’ and now I’m even have a chance to finally get rid of it officially. I’m not going to press you to make any of the decisions.” Thalia sighed.
“That’s the thing. I’ve always been known as ‘Jason Grace’. I’ve never been known as just Jason. I mean you guys call me Jason but like you’ve already renounced that part of your life before but I never did. And I-I don’t feel connected to our mom. Heck, I don’t even want to have a relation to her but I’ve got used to my last name. I just feel that if that goes away, then some sort of identity of mine might go away too. Its not because of our mother.” Jason said, trying to explain.
“I get what you’re trying to say. Again, like I said, I’m not going to press you for a certain decision but I want you to know that you aren’t known with a good reputation because of your name. Your reputation is created by who you are. And your identity is who you really are and who you want to be. You should be true to that and not to who people have previously known you as. Your identity can change some times and then that’s who you are. The identity that you had before, isn’t who you are.” Thalia said with a small smile.
Jason gave a light chuckle. “I think you’re spending too much time around Percy.” He said. Thalia laughed good naturedly.
“But you’re right. I think I know what to do now.” Jason said. “Thanks sis.” He smiled.
“Any time.” Thalia grinned.
Hazel had left to go to the garden as well and Nico had gone with her, knowing and sensing that something was troubling her.
“Hey, Hazel.” He said with a smile.
“Hey, Nico.” Hazel said with a small smile. Nico knew that she was thinking about something that was creating an ultimate dilemma in her mind.
“Can I be of any help with the mental war that you’re waging?” he asked a little dramatically. Hazel chuckled.
“Maybe.” She said.
“Then here I am.” Nico grinned.
“You remember what Jason asked about renouncing his last name?” Hazel asked. Nico nodded. He understood why Jason wanted to do that. Nico would not renounce his last name but he knew that with a mother that Jason had, even he would definitely have considered renouncing it.
“I-I was wondering if I should too.” Hazel said hesitantly. Nico raised his eyebrows a little. It wasn’t surprise, it was just curiosity as to what Hazel’s reasons for that would be.
“But I thought that you…you know-“ He said. Hazel sighed and nodded.
“I did come to understand or rather know my mother’s reasons at the end. I didn’t like her but I didn’t wish for her to end up in punishment and I took the blow and ended up in Asphodel so she could too. Sometimes, I do regret it but then I twist my own mind that she is still my mother.” Hazel said, her voice quiet. Nico gave her an encouraging nod.
“With you guys and with the whole way that you all talked and went about the whole situation with Luke, I’m really starting to reconsider that. My mother, she did horrible things to me and treated me like I was a mistake and punishment. Even if she was manipulated, she still believed that and that’s what led to all of the rage towards me. Later, when she was captured and needed me, she admitted it all. And when I think of it, it does make me angry and all the more glad that I’m alive now.” Hazel said, shaking her head.
Nico kept his hand on Hazel’s shoulder and gave her a small smile.
“Hazel, I don’t know what you should do but not everybody gets an opportunity to make a fresh start. To start a new chapter in their lives. To be you and leave behind all the bad memories. If some part of you doesn’t want to keep the barest of ties that you have with your past, then understand that part and then make a decision. Nobody else can make that decision for you because nobody else can talk to that part of you.” He said.
Hazel looked at him and gave him a hug. It seemed to take Nico by surprise but he hugged her back. She made her decision right after Nico said that. It was funny how some people could make decisions just with somebody sitting next to them. Somebody that they would trust with their life.
“I’ve got a date now.” Hazel said with a light blush as she pulled away. Nico grinned and chuckled.
“I guess, you’ll be going over the praetor shifts today as well?” he asked. Hazel nodded.
“You got any ideas?” he asked.
“Yeah. We both decided to come up with a list and suggest some names for praetor. It’s a pity that we can’t make Gwen praetor but at least Dakota and Gwen can be together without one being mortal and the other being immortal.” Hazel said with a smile at the end. Nico nodded.
“Well, good luck with that. Its gonna take a lot of consideration for those fields.” He said.
“True.” Hazel agreed.
“All right. You got to go. Have a good date.” Nico grinned. Hazel grinned and nodded and left off to meet Frank. Nico’s phone rang just as he got up.
“Yeah, Perce?” he asked as he picked it up.
“Dude, can you come to the deck?” Percy’s voice came through the phone.
“All right. All okay though?” Nico asked.
“Yeah yeah. Everything’s good.” Percy’s voice said. Nico sighed in relief and went to the deck.
“What’s up?” Nico asked as he went to the deck. Leo, Thalia, Jason and Percy were there.
“We were just talking about what grandmother told us that day.” Percy informed Nico. Nico raised an eyebrow and sat down on the deck.
“What exactly?” he asked
“We think that we-“ Thalia started but then the door to the deck opened. The demigods jumped up and turned around to look at sheepish Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
“What are you guys doing here?” Nico asked in surprise.
“He was trying to prove to us that the deck is better than the beach.” Poseidon said. Percy snorted.
“That is not true.” He said.
“That’s what I said.” Poseidon grinned.
“It’s a good deck but I prefer the beach.” Percy shrugged. Poseidon nodded in agreement.
“Are you guys busy?” Hades asked the demigods.
“Uh we can leave.” Thalia said.
“Yeah, lets go. I know a place.” Jason said. The demigods nodded and ran off. The gods chuckled.
“The deck is so damn clear!” Zeus said once the demigods were gone.
“So is the beach water.” Poseidon defended.
“My brain is getting full with the two of you. How are we related?” Hades groaned but there was amusement hidden there.
“Here we are.” Jason grinned as he took them to another building with a flat top.
“Are we supposed to sit on the roof?” Nico asked. Jason nodded.
“You’re gonna fly us up?” Percy asked. Jason nodded.
“Awesome.” Leo grinned. Jason winked and flew the four demigods on top of the roof.
“All right so what were you talking to about?” Nico asked.
“Ah right. We were saying that we think that the way grandmother put things for us…well they were completely one incident based. And yes, what happened was awful but what she did to all of us wasn’t a peace indication either. We should try, yes but we shouldn’t be the only ones in the sense that we aren’t the only ones who should apologize.” Thalia said.
“Like even if she’s trying but if we apologize then it should be a two way thing.” She said. Everybody nodded.
“That is true.” Nico agreed.
“I think what grandmother gave us is a mother’s point of view. She loves her daughter.” Percy sighed.
“Yeah.” Leo nodded.
“Soo what do we do now?” Thalia asked, rubbing his head
“Ah. We’ve got so much going on right now.” Leo sighed and lay down on the flat part of the roof.
“Facts right there.” Nico agreed.
“Maybe for now, we could just try from our end but not exactly forgive completely until there is an apology from her end too?” Percy suggested.
“That’s good.” The rest of them said in unison.
“Well, meeting adjourned then.” Percy snickered. They all laughed and snickered.
“That was a good meeting.” Leo said, standing up, grinning and brushing his pants.
“Dude, just remember that we’re on a roof and just don’t walk off.” Jason grinned. Leo stuck his tongue out.
“Hey Jason, did you decide?” Percy asked seriously. Jason nodded, knowing what Percy was talking about.
“Yeah. I’m doing it.” He said. Everybody nodded.
“Thals?” Percy asked
“Definitely.” She nodded.
“Could we please get off the roof now?” Leo asked. Jason nodded. He flew all of them to the ground and grinned. Percy made the mistake of flexing his neck and he winced in pain as his shoulder throbbed.
“How bad does it hurt?” Nico asked sheepishly.
“Bad.” Percy sighed
“Will says that its going to be worse tomorrow.” Nico said.
“I know.” Percy grimaced.
“Maybe you could put your arm in a slingshot seeing as your shoulder’s not the only place you’re hurt on your left arm.” Thalia suggested
“But that’d limit all movement. At least, I’m able to move my arm right now.” Percy grimaced.
“Yeah but it’ll be easier for you to train without moving your left arm too much.” Jason pointed out.
“That…that’s true. I’ll ask Apollo and Will.” Percy said. He grinned at Thalia and Jason and ran to the Apollo cabin.
“Man, how can he still act so chill about being stabbed?” Leo said in awe
“The simplest answer? Its Percy.” Thalia replied.
Percy knocked on the door of the Apollo cabin. He didn’t regret jumping in front of the knife and monster for even a second even though his shoulder throbbed with pain every time he tried to move his left arm too much. It was the worst when he was fighting Kronos but then he couldn’t afford to pause for even a second and he was too tired to get it looked at after coming back.
He knew that he would jump in front of the knife and monster again if he had to. It was just one of those things that he didn’t have second thoughts about. That was one reason that he didn’t have to explain himself to Athena either. He just hoped that 15 days would pass soon.
“Oh hey, Perce. All good?” Apollo asked as he opened the door.
“I wondered if I could put my left arm in a sling.” Percy said
“Hmm. Why?” Apollo asked
“Well, Thalia and Jason suggested it and I agree that it would help make matters easier for me to train and move about because my left won’t move as much and hence won’t hurt.” Percy explained.
“Ah. That makes sense. Come on in.” Apollo said with a smile. Percy went in and whistled.
“The whole collapsible tattoo parlor thing is so lit.” he said. Apollo grinned at him.
“Hey Perce.” Lee, Michael and Will grinned. Percy waved back with a grin.
“All right. Hold up. I’ll get you a customized blue sling.” Apollo said, gesturing to the sofa. Percy grinned widely and plopped down on the sofa and the Apollo kids plopped down next to him or lay down on the opposite couch.
“Why are you getting a sling?” Michael asked. Percy told him the reason and Michael nodded.
“That makes sense. It’s gonna be easier for most of it. Though the general pain won’t decrease but the movement pain should lessen a bit.” He said.
“He’s right.” Will nodded.
“All riight.” Apollo said as he came back.
“Oh that’s a good sling.” Percy grinned. Apollo winked and grinned.
“Ooh, I’ve never seen the water effect one.” Lee said with an approving nod. The sling was sea greenish blue with a wave pattern on it and it looked like the water was actually moving.
“Can I keep that later on?” Percy asked sheepishly. Apollo laughed and nodded.
“Its yours as soon as I put it on.” He said.
“Thanks.” Percy grinned.
“No problem.” Apollo chuckled. He sat down next to Percy and attached the sling carefully as to not hit any of the cuts. Percy winced in pain as he bent his arm but didn’t say anything. Apollo gave him a small smile.
“All done.” Apollo said
“Thank you.” Percy said with a grin. Apollo smiled.
“Any time, Perce.” He said. Percy gave him a fist bump and winked and gave a two finger salute to the Apollo kids as he left.
“Whoa. Did I miss something that has to do with a fracture or a sling?” Triton asked with raised eyebrows when Percy walked into the room. Percy snickered.
“Nah, its still the same. Thalia and Jason just suggested the sling to make it easier to train and all.” He said
“Ah.” Triton sighed.
“Why do you have a sling?” Poseidon asked. Percy sighed and explained again. Poseidon looked guilty but Percy kept saying that it wasn’t his fault and it was Percy’s decision.
“Are you excited or eager?” Amphitrite asked after some time
“For what?” Percy asked
“For your domains.” Amphitrite said
“Interested, for sure.” Percy answered.
“I’m excited.” Tyson chuckled.
“Wanna go to the beach?” Poseidon asked. Percy nodded.
“No need to even ask.” He grinned. The sea gang laughed.
“All right. You go ahead. We’ll be there in two minutes.” Triton grinned. Percy raised his eyebrows.
“I don’t know what’s going on right now but suree.” He said and went off to the beach. Tyson grabbed the package and the sea gang grinned and went to the beach. Percy had plugged in some speakers and his phone and was just about to start the song when they reached him.
“Hey, Perce. We got you something.” Triton said.
“Really? Why?” Percy asked
“No reason. You’re one of us. It got ready just in time, really. Tyson made it.” Triton shrugged. Percy grinned widely mostly at the ‘you’re one us’ part. Poseidon gave Triton a proud look.
“Here you go.” Poseidon handed the package. Percy ripped away the packing like a five year old which made everybody chuckle. It was nice to see him be a kid sometimes. Percy’s eyes were as big as cookies when he saw what was in the package.
“No way.” He breathed as he rotated the trident in his hands. It had a dark grey color with sea green patterns on it and it looked like waves moving along the trident.
“Yes way.” The sea gang grinned widely.
“This is amazing.” Percy said in awe.
“Tyson made it.” Amphitrite smiled
“Nobody else could make something so good.” Percy smiled proudly at Tyson. Tyson blushed at the praise.
“Thank you so much.” Percy said, his eyes shining and gave the sea gang right side hugs which were quite strong.
“Now, we’ve got to train you to use this.” Triton said, rubbing his hands with a grin.
“That’s going to be fun.” Poseidon grinned.
“Can we start now?” Percy asked excitedly.
“Are you sure?” Amphitrite asked
“As sure as I can be. I can use my right hand.” Percy said.
“All right then.” Triton grinned. Percy grinned back and picked up the trident.
“This feels good.” He said.
“Always does.” Poseidon nodded with a smile.
“Okay so wield it like you would do with a sword.” Poseidon said. Percy nodded and did some of the basic sword moves.
“Damn. That was good.” Triton said
“Uh what?” Percy asked in confusion.
“I meant that you’re freaking good with a sword. If you can replicate those moves with a trident with just one hand that is just mind blowing. Not everybody can do that. Once you can use your left, you’re going to be so amazing that even awesome would be an understatement. You can replicate trident moves with a sword and sword moves with a trident and of course, create new moves too.” Triton explained. Percy’s mouth fell open a little.
“Triton’s right. You’re going to be really good with it.” Poseidon said with a proud look. Percy looked a little surprised as he heard and thought about the moves that he could try to pull off with a trident. Oh this was going to be fun.
Jason was a little flustered…okay, very flustered as he was getting ready for his date. He had tossed two suits on the bed along with four shirts trying to figure which went best with what. Finally, he decided on a navy blue suit and a white shirt and blue bow. He kept messing with his hair trying to figure out how and in which direct his hair looked good. Eventually he decided on putting some hair gel though it was not needed but he did it and he still kept messing with his hair. He went outside in the main room where Thalia had her headphones on and Zeus and Hera had put something on TV.
“Looking good, Jay.” Thalia grinned and removed her headphones and put them around her neck.
“My hair is a mess.” Jason said, throwing his hands in the air.
“It looks good.” Thalia told him.
“Nope.” Jason said and stood in front of the mirror and started tousling it into heaps again and again. Thalia and Zeus were watching him in amusement and Hera raised her eyebrows.
“Dad, can you just please help him out.” Thalia sighed after Jason was freaking out about his hair for the last five minutes. Zeus chuckled.
“That looks much better.” Jason sighed after five minutes.
“Finally, prince charming is satisfied.” Thalia shouted dramatically. Jason stuck his tongue out at Thalia who was laughing.
“How do I look?” He asked.
“I already said you look great.” Thalia raised an eyebrow.
“You look good.” Zeus nodded with a smile. Jason then looked at Hera who looked surprised.
“Why are you asking me?” she asked
“Well normally, people tend to ask their mothers as well. I do not have a mother and you’re technically supposed to be my patron and you’re the only adult women in the room.” Jason said. Hera looked shocked would be an understatement.
“You look good.” She said. Jason nodded. He grabbed Piper’s favorite flower and rushed out.
“I’m an adult too.” Thalia muttered
“Technically not. You’re a minor.” Nico said as he leant against the doorframe of the Zeus quarters.
“When did you get here?” Thalia sighed exasperatedly. Nico smirked.
“Just now. Saw Jason running out.” He chuckled.
“He has a date.” Thalia said with a chuckle.
“Figured.” Nico nodded.
“Um can I come in?” he asked.
“Uh yeah.” Zeus said. Nico nodded to him as a greeting and sat down in front of Thalia.
“I wonder what are domains are going to be.” Thalia said
“I swear, I know right. I have to admit, I’m excited.” Nico replied.
“Where’s Percy?” Thalia asked
“Knowing our cousin, he’s on the beach.” Nico grinned.
“Lets go there then. I wanna see what he’s up to.” Thalia said
“Lets just call him and see. We never know if he’s busy or not.” Nico suggested. Thalia huffed and nodded. Nico dialed Percy’s number and exchanged some words and nodded.
“He’s free. He’s with uncle, Triton, Amphitrite and Tyson.” He said.
“That’s good then.” Thalia said. She and Nico got up and ran out of the Zeus quarters.
“Kelp head!” Nico shouted as they neared the beach with a grin.
“What a greeting?” Percy snickered.
“What’s with the trident? Whose is it?” Thalia asked.
“Its his.” Tyson grinned toothily.
“Wait what? When did that happen?” Nico asked with his mouth hanging open. Percy smiled as he saw a part of the old 10 year old Nico.
“We gave it to him about an hour ago.” Poseidon smiled.
“That is so freaking lit.” Thalia said, shaking her head.
“Can I hold it?” Nico asked in awe. The trident had some special effect which made the green sea patterns glow in the night and so did the metal.
“Sure.” Percy said
“Uh, Nico, it would be heavy for you…Only somebody with dad’s blood can hold it…” Triton trailed off.
“That just makes it even cooler.” Nico grinned.
“How’s Jason?” Percy asked
“He was so flustered.” Thalia chuckled.
“Happens on the first official date.” Percy laughed good naturedly.
“I remember when it happened to you. I enjoyed some good popcorn, watching the show.” Nico said with a smirk. The sea gang chuckled. Percy pouted but then grinned.
“I enjoyed the popcorn when you had your first date and were getting ready.” He said. Nico turned red.
“Ah. Good part about being a hunter. You only enjoy the shows.” Thalia said with a grin.
“Or I could just lock my door the next time I change to get ready for a date.” Nico smirked.
“You get that whole ‘finding loopholes’ thing from your dad.” Percy said, shaking his head good naturedly. Nico smirked.
“There is no doubt about that.” Poseidon chuckled. Nico rubbed his hands mischievously.
“I’m going to go take a hot bath and sleep.” Percy yawned.
“Little boy is sleepy.” Thalia teased
“You don’t look much better either.” Percy replied cheekily.
“Well okay fine.” Thalia admitted begrudgingly.
“Then off to bed all of you. You’ve had a rough day.” Amphitrite said
“Yes maam.” Percy said with a salute and a grin. Everybody burst out laughing. They all got up and went off back to their quarters. Chiron called lights out early that day which nobody complained about.
The Hermes kids decided to sleep in their dad’s room for the night. They started arranging mattresses while he was in the bathroom.
“Whoa. You guys should sleep in your room. The mattresses are going to be uncomfortable.” Hermes said.
“Don’t worry about it. We’ve slept on mattresses before and its quite all right.” Travis said
“Yeah but you have beds right now. You shouldn’t have to sleep here because of me.” Hermes said guiltily.
“Don’t worry about it, dad.” Connor chuckled
“Lets just make it a sleepover.” Chris grinned.
“Yeah, we really don’t care if we’re sleeping on mattresses.” Travis nodded. Hermes gave the three of them a hug and sat down on his bed.
“You guys can come on the bed if you want.” He said
“That would be kinda suffocating.” Connor said sheepishly. Hermes nodded.
“Okay yeah, that’s true.” He agreed. “Are you sure you’re all right on the mattresses?” he asked.
“Yes.” The Hermes kids chorused with grins. The four of them wished each other good nights and lay down.
Hermes knew why his kids were sleeping in his room and he was so grateful that he had them that he couldn’t put it into words. The one thing that helped him get sleep that night was that now he wouldn’t have to see Chris, Travis and Connor die as well.
Percy hissed in pain when he woke up the next day. His left arm was stiff and his wounds were throbbing in pain as he tried to move his left arm. He knew that it was going to hurt worse than it had till then but dam, did it hurt. He managed to move his hand enough to put it in the sling and got up to freshen up.
“Has a time been decided for us to get turned into gods?” Percy asked as he walked into the main room.
“After breakfast.” Amphitrite said with a smile.
“I’m hungry already so…” Percy said with a sheepish grin. The sea gang chuckled.
“Yeah, me too. Lets just get going to the dining hall.” Triton said. Everybody nodded and headed there. Everybody had already come there by then or were trickling in.
“Where’s Piper?” Annabeth asked
“The fates uh asked her to prepare herself to talk to her dad today.” Jason said.
“Oh damn. That’s gonna be intense.” Annabeth grimaced. Jason nodded in concern.
“How was your date though?” Nico asked with a goofy grin. Jason turned red and his cousins chuckled.
“It was good. I kind of wanted to recreate the whole fake memory that book Piper had of our first kiss so that she’d have an actual memory of it.” Jason said shyly. The demigods whistled.
“That is very good.” Percy said with an approving nod.
“Thanks.” Jason grinned.
“Should we be going with Piper?” Leo asked, coming over to their table.
“Maybe. It depends if she wants us to come or not. I asked her and she said that she wasn’t sure so I told her that we’ll be there if she needs us.” Jason said, his eyebrows furrowed in concern again.
“Castor and Pollux are definitely going.” Leo informed.
“Yeah. That makes sense.” Percy nodded, cutting his blue pancakes.
“Hopefully it goes all right.” Thalia sighed. Piper then walked into the dining hall.
“Soo, I have to go. I’ll be back soon…” she said. Everybody nodded and wished their luck. Piper disappeared as she went to her dad’s place. As the Triumvirate drama was prevented, her dad was still a famous movie star. Castor and Pollux nodded and disappeared as well.
“I’m worried.” Leo sighed.
“Lets try to be positive.” Percy sighed
“I think it’ll go all right. The circumstances are different than in the book.” Jason said
“He still doesn’t believe. That might cause complications. I think if Piper wants any of us there, she’ll probably call.” Nico said
“Castor and Pollux are geniuses when it comes to madness and trying to figure out the depths and roots of it. They’re the best bet to help Piper out.” Percy said. “They know exactly what to do and what happened. They know it better than any of us.” He said
“Percy’s right. The way Castor just seemed to know everything was just…impressive. They know how to deal with all of that and Piper is the only one who can talk to her dad.” Chris agreed
The demigods sat back though they were anxious. The gods were a little worried as well. Mostly Aphrodite. They didn’t want anything bad to happen to Tristan McLean either and definitely didn’t want him to go insane.
Piper returned two hours later and the demigods had started pacing by then to control their ADHD.
“Piper!” Leo called out. Everybody stopped pacing and turned to look at Piper.
“He’s going to be all right.” She said with a small smile. Everybody cheered.
“He was really shocked and that’s an understatement. There was a panicky moment for him but Piper had to use some slight charmspeak and we calmed him down as well.” Pollux said
“And what about the reasons why he didn’t want to believe?” Jason asked
“We told him that sometimes everybody wants somebody to blame. It happens to all the people but then the good part is that you can find out if they are to blame or not. If they aren’t then there is nobody to blame. It just happened.” Castor told everybody. They all nodded.
“That’s good.” Nico nodded
“So what is he doing right now?” Percy asked
“He’s resting.” Piper told him. Everybody smiled.
“That’s great!” Annabeth said.
“Yeah. I’m just gonna drop by in the evening. He has questions. You guys can come too. He’d like to meet you guys too.” Piper said.
“If you’re fine with it then sure.” Percy said.
“Yeah. I’m totally fine with it.” Piper chuckled. Percy nodded and everybody grinned.
“Oh and Leo, I managed to get this for you. He signed it specially.” Piper grinned and pulled out a signed prop from one of her dad’s movies. Leo gave a very hilarious squeal everybody chuckled.
“This is going in a special collection.” Leo declared. Piper laughed and shook her head fondly.
“Soo we turn into gods in half an hour. Funny really.” Nico chuckled. Everybody nodded.
“So if there are any changes you all want made in appearance or family ties then now is the time to let us know.” Apollo said
“Yeah. I’d like to renounce any ties that I have to my mother. And I want my scar above my lip, removed. It reminds me of the past I had. I don’t want it anymore.” Jason said. Zeus grimaced a little but nodded to Apollo.
“All righty.” He said “Oh and you don’t need the glasses anymore. Once you turn into a god, I mean.” He said to Jason who nodded.
“I don’t want any ties to my mother either. Officially.” Thalia stated. Apollo nodded.
“I don’t want to have any relation to my past either.” Hazel said and exhaled. Hades looked a little surprised but nodded nonetheless. If that’s what Hazel wanted then he wasn’t going to stop her.
“I want to renounce them too.” Reyna said, stepping forward. Artemis nodded.
“Wow. All right.” Apollo said
“Me too.” Chris said. Clarisse gave him a hand squeeze and he gave a smile. Hermes looked surprised as well but he nodded. He understood why Chris wanted that. His son hadn’t had the best of relationships with his mother.
“Hey Perce, you reckon we can change our last name to Jackson?” Thalia chuckled. Percy grinned.
“Anybody else?” Apollo asked. Everybody shook their heads.
“Okay then.” Apollo nodded.
“Half an hour is up. Time flies fast, really.” Nico said in surprise as he looked at his watch.
“The weekends especially. Lectures go on forever.” Travis groaned
“True true.” Connor nodded.
“Which reminds me, are you going to go to college?” Hermes asked. The demigods shook their heads.
“There isn’t any point. We go there to choose our careers and all. We already have one now.” Percy shrugged.
“And as for living in New Rome and visiting around, we can definitely do that now.” Annabeth smiled. Percy grinned at her.
“You bet we can.” He said
“Are you guys happy?” Hermes asked all the demigods.
“Yeah. Yeah, we are. It was a shock when we found out that we were going to turn into gods but it’s a pleasant surprise.” Percy smiled. The demigods nodded in agreement.
“Your happiness is what matters here. Its good you’re happy.” Hermes smiled. The demigods smiled at him but there was some worry in it at seeing Hermes like that.
Then there was a bright light.
“Its time.” Ares said.
“Sounds ominous.” Frank chuckled. Ares gave him a grin.
“You know, if our looks are going to be updated even a little, I want it to be a surprise for you guys.” Nico said to the gods. Everybody laughed and nodded in agreement.
“Then you guys go first. We’ll come when they announce your domains right after.” Apollo said. Everybody nodded.
“I’m excited.” Triton said with a grin as the demigods walked to the throne room.
The fates appeared in front of the demigods and they didn’t know what to do so they knelt or bowed.
“Rise.” The fates said. The demigods stood up and looked at them.
“You will be unconscious so you will not feel any of the change that will happen while we’re changing you into gods. You will wake up ten seconds later. We will return after one hour to announce your domains.” Clotho informed. The demigods nodded. The fates were making them a little nervous and so was the thought of being unconscious as they were changed.
The fates snapped their fingers and the demigods fell unconscious. Their fall was cushioned by the cushions on the floor and there was a bright glow that could be seen from even the dining hall.
“Its happening.” Aphrodite breathed. The gods nodded as they stared at the throne room.
After five minutes, the bright glow decreased until it was gone. The fates disappeared and the gods received a note saying that the process was complete and the demigods who were now gods would call them inside soon.
“Holy Hera.” Lee muttered. Hera scowled outside at that.
“True words.” Michael agreed. The demigods sat up and rubbed their heads.
“Um Percy?!” Thalia shouted as she looked at Percy.
“DUDE!” Piper shouted and laughed. Percy just looked confused and terrified.
“What?” He shouted
“Nico! Oh gods.” Jason’s mouth hung open in surprise.
“WHAT?!” Percy and Nico shouted
“You two look exactly like your dads. Like duplicate copies. Clones. I can’t tell even tell one hair apart.” Will said in surprise. Percy and Nico looked at each other and ran to get a mirror.
“What on earth…” Nico and Percy muttered as they looked at their reflections and then they grinned.
“Oh this is kinda cool. And I look good.” Percy said with a grin. Nico nodded in agreement.
“Jason… dude what happened to your hair color?” Percy asked and then he stopped. His voice was much deeper than it was supposed to be.
“Okay, what’s wrong with my voice?” He said
“This is just so cool. You look and sound exactly like your dad. You and Nico both.” Chris shook his head. Nico did a voice test and his eyes widened on sounding like a duplicate of his father.
“My hair is darker and my voice is deeper and my scar is gone.” Jason stated
“Yeah, that’s probably because you renounced your ties with your mother’s side and thus your change was more towards your dad.” Katie explained. Nico jumped five feet as soon as he heard Katie speak.
“Demeter?” he said. Katie smirked.
“This is freaking me out.” He shuddered.
“Oh well.” Katie said nonchalantly. Everybody snickered.
“Annabeth?” Percy called out and then shook his head. “My voice sounds so different.” He said
“I guess we’ll get used to it.” Will said
“You, Percy, Nico, Katie, Travis and Connor look like duplicates of your godly parents. Percy and Nico the most and Jason looks close to his father but not a duplicate.” Castor chuckled.
“Looked at yourself recently?” Lee chuckled.
“What do you mean?” Pollux asked
“You two look like younger versions of dad.” Dakota chuckled.
“Oh cool.” Castor and Pollux high fived.
“Hey seaweed brain.” Annabeth smiled as she saw Percy who’s face broke into a grin.
“You look good.” He said.
“You too.” Annabeth smiled at him.
“Yeah. I look like my dad but we can keep that on the side.” Percy chuckled.
“Eh. You’re still seaweed brain to me.” Annabeth shrugged. “And good for everybody, I don’t look like my mother.” She said. Everybody laughed. Percy grinned at her.
“All right guys. I have an idea. What about we give our parents quite the surprise when they come in?” Jason grinned. They snickered and nodded.
“Okay so we can just stand in a line and Percy, Nico and Katie can just turn around with their backs to the rest of the line because they look the most like duplicates.” Thalia said. Everybody nodded. Once they arranged themselves, Will called Apollo and asked the Olympian gods to come in.
“Uh hey guys.” Apollo said as they all walked in.
“Hey. So this is going to be a surprise. Like how we look now.” Lee walked up to him with a grin. Apollo high fived him with a grin.
“All right.” The gods nodded.
“So Travis and Connor.” Lee grinned. Travis and Connor grinned identically and walked to stand with Hermes whose eyes widened.
“They look exactly like you.” Ares said in surprise.
“And are exactly like him personality wise.” Michael chuckled and went to the Apollo side. Everybody nodded. Apollo grinned and fist bumped Michael.
“And play just as notorious pranks.” Annabeth said and went to Athena who smiled.
“I think our parents are going to get quite the surprise when they look at some of us because of how similar we look.” Will said with a grin and went to Apollo who almost squealed. Okay, he did squeal.
“He looks like a copy of Apollo. Though, his hair is a bit more on the messy side.” Aphrodite remarked. Apollo grinned and high fived Will.
“Messy hair supremacy.” Castor, Pollux and Dakota nodded and went to Dionysus.
“They look like younger versions of D.” Hermes chuckled. Dionysus nodded and gave the three of them a smile.
The demigods now turned gods went and stood with their parents like they were being sorted into their houses. Now only, Thalia, Jason, Nico, Percy and Katie were left. Thalia went first and shrugged and stood with Zeus.
“I can see more electricity in your eyes now.” Apollo said to her with a grin. Thalia grinned back. Zeus gave her a smile.
Jason went next. A few people looked really surprised at how dark his hair color had gone.
“Jason looks almost like Zeus. His facial features are just a bit more on the softer side and his hair is one shade lighter. But almost really similar.” Demeter commented. Jason gave her a small grin. Zeus nodded.
“And now… Katie!” Travis announced like a TV show host. Katie snickered and went to stand with Demeter.
“You sound like a commercial host or something.” Katie said fondly to Travis who grinned. Hades jumped just like Nico had.
“She looks and sounds like an exact copy of you, Demeter.” Hades grumbled. Persephone chuckled and nodded. Demeter smirked at Hades and winked at Katie.
“Hey, Perce and Nico, who wants to go first?” Thalia called out.
“Lets not ruin the surprise, Thals.” Nico chuckled and turned around. The Olympians’ mouths dropped open.
“Holy-“ Apollo said with wide eyes.
“Uncle H, is that you?” Hermes asked in shock.
“No.” Hades said to him and grinned at Nico. Hazel winked at Nico as she stood next to Hades.
“I have never seen anybody look so same and identical.” Persephone shook her head in surprise. “Katie came close.” She said
“Hey dad.” Nico said with a grin which was exactly like Hades. There wasn’t even the difference of a tooth. Hades slung an arm around Nico and Hazel and grinned.
“I cannot tell the difference between those two except the height.” Hermes said with a chuckle.
“Yeah? Well prepare to feel that way again!” Thalia announced.
Percy chuckled.
“Nico was right. The element of surprise, Thals.” He said and went to stand with Poseidon. Triton actually fainted as he took one look at Percy. Percy chuckled and splashed water on Triton to wake him up.
“I’m done, yeah? I’m done.” Apollo said, shaking his head in shock.
“Oh well.” Percy grinned. Poseidon stared at Percy in surprise and then grinned widely.
“I’m dreaming right?” Triton asked in disbelief.
“No.” Amphitrite said to him.
Nico and Percy fist bumped. Poseidon gave his son a side hug.
“Now, these two, I really can’t tell the difference between them. Percy’s literally almost as tall as Uncle’s current height.” Hermes shook his head. Percy and Poseidon grinned identically and high fived.
“I have never ever seen anybody look as identical as Percy and Nico look to their parents. And then comes Katie, Will, The Stolls, Castor and Pollux and Jason.” Aphrodite said with her mouth hanging open.
“Percy and Nico sound exactly like their fathers too. There isn’t even a small pitch difference.” Apollo informed.
“Wow.” Amphitrite said, shaking her head. Percy and Nico were looking really amused at the reactions while the other demigods were recording it.
Triton still looked on the verge of passing put again as he looked at the most identical now gods around the room, especially at Percy. His brother had always looked similar to their father but now he looked and sounded like an exact clone. He remembered when he jumped once when he heard Percy laugh because of how identical Percy sounded to Poseidon. Now he just wasn’t able to process what he was seeing. But he guessed that he would probably get used to it.
“All righty. Now that we’re done with our amazing and dramatic face reveals, the fates should come soon to announce domains.” Nico said. Hades chuckled at the way it sounded like he was the one talking. A few people probably thought that too and almost looked at Hades but then switched their gazes to Nico.
“Yeah, they’re supposed to come just about now.” Jason said. His voice was deeper than before as well.
The fates appeared in exactly one minute and stood in front of everybody.
“Olympians and newly made gods, we are now going to announce the domains and who is to be the leader of the second council of gods. We will put that title in their domains as well.” Clotho stated. Everybody nodded.
“Lee Fletcher, son of Apollo.” Lachesis called. Lee stepped forward anxiously.
“God of marks and targets.” Atropos declared. Lee nodded and Apollo gave him a grin when he went to stand next to him.
“Michael Yew, son of Apollo.” Lachesis said. Michael stepped forward.
“God of sound and frequencies.” Atropos stated. Michael bowed and went and stood next to Apollo who smiled.
“Will Solace, son of Apollo.” Lachesis said. Will stepped forward.
“God of the heart and anatomy.” Atropos said. Will’s eyes widened a little and he sucked in a breath but he bowed and stood next to Apollo with a small smile. Apollo smiled at him and slung his arms around the three of his children.
“Chris, son of Hermes.” Lachesis said. Chris went forward.
“God of stability and emotional strength.” Atropos declared. Chris nodded and stood next to Hermes who smiled. Clarisse gave him a small smile which Chris returned.
“Travis Stolls, son of Hermes.” Lachesis called. Travis stepped forward.
“God of Pranks and Traps.” Atropos stated. Travis grinned, bowed and stood next to Hermes who grinned.
“Connor Stoll, son of Hermes.” Lachesis said. Connor stepped forward.
“God of Stealth and Jokes.” Atropos said. Connor grinned, nodded and went to stand next to Hermes who grinned proudly at all his kids and pulled them into side hugs.
“Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares.” Lachesis said. Clarisse stepped forward.
“Goddess of Courage and Determination.” Atropos said. Clarisse nodded and stood next to Ares who grinned at her.
“Frank Zhang, son of Mars.” Lachesis called. Frank stepped forward a little anxiously.
“God of Sacrifice and Protectiveness.” Atropos said. Frank nodded and stood next to Ares. Ares smiled and high fived Clarisse and Frank.
“Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena.” Lachesis said. Annabeth stepped forward.
“Goddess of ideas, second chances and boldness.” Atropos stated. Annabeth bowed and stood next to Athena who nodded approvingly. Percy smiled and gave a thumbs up to Annabeth.
“Castor, son of Dionysus.” Lachesis called. Castor stepped forward.
“God of mystery and secrets.” Atropos declared. Dionysus nodded. That was what he thought. Castor bowed and stood next to Dionysus who smiled at him.
“Pollux, son of Dionysus.” Lachesis said. Pollux stepped forward.
“God of thought and hallucinations.” Atropos stated. Pollux bowed and stood next to Dionysus who nodded.
“Dakota, son of Bacchus.” Lachesis said. Dakota moved forward.
“God of reality and mixtures.” Atropos declared. Dakota bowed and stood next to Dionysus. Castor and Pollux fist bumped him and Dionysus nodded with a smile.
“Reyna, daughter of Bellona, hunter of Artemis.” Lachesis called. Reyna stepped forward.
“Goddess of honor and leadership.” Atropos stated. Reyna nodded and bowed and stood next to Artemis who smiled and nodded at her.
“Charles Beckendorf, son of Hephaestus.” Lachesis said. Beckendorf stepped forward.
“God of construction and metal.” Atropos declared. Beckendorf nodded and stood next to Hephaestus who smiled.
“Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus.” Clotho called. Leo stepped forward nervously.
“God of creativity, lava and intelligence.” Atropos stated. Leo grinned, bowed and stood next to his brother and father. Hephaestus smiled at him as well.
“Tyson, son of Poseidon.” Clotho said. Tyson looked at Percy who nodded with a smile and Tyson stepped forward.
“God of skill, carving and hippocampi.” Atropos declared. Tyson grinned toothily. He bowed and stood next to the sea gang who smiled proudly at him.
“Fish ponies?” Tyson asked
“Fish ponies.” Percy confirmed with a smile.
“Silena Beauregard, daughter of Aphrodite.” Clotho called. Silena stepped forward.
“Goddess of choices and faithfulness.” Atropos said. Silena bowed and stood next to Aphrodite. Beckendorf smiled at her.
“Piper McLean, daughter of Aphrodite.” Clotho said. Piper stepped forward.
“Goddess of looks and emotional strength.” Atropos declared. Piper bowed and stood next to Aphrodite who beamed at her daughters.
“Katie Gardner, daughter of Demeter.” Clotho called. Katie moved forward.
“Goddess of deadly plants and protector of nature.” Atropos stated. Katie nodded and stood next to Demeter who gave her a proud look.
“Thalia, daughter of Zeus, Lieutenant of Artemis.” Clotho called. Thalia stepped forward.
“Goddess of electricity, hail and independence.” Atropos stated. Thalia nodded and stood next to Zeus.
“Jason, son of Jupiter.” Clotho said. Jason stepped forward.
“God of all squalls, air pressure and respect.” Atropos declared. Jason bowed and stood next to Zeus who gave both his children a proud look.
“Hazel, daughter of Pluto.” Lachesis called out. Hazel nodded and stepped forward.
“Goddess of caves and tunnels.” Atropos stated. Hazel bowed and stood with Hades who smiled proudly at her. Persephone smiled at her as well. Nico grinned at her. Frank gave her a smile and thumbs up.
“Nico di Angelo, son of Hades.” Lachesis called. Percy, Thalia and Will turned to look at Nico with smiles and Jason nodded at him with a smile as well. Nico took a deep breath and stepped forward.
“God of shadows, darkness and survival. God and king of ghosts.” Atropos declared. Nico’s eyes widened a little but he bowed and headed back to stand with Hades. Percy, Thalia, Jason and Will grinned at him. Hades beamed at Nico and Hazel gave him a proud grin. Persephone smiled at him as well.
“Grover Underwood, lord of the wild.” Lachesis called. Grover stepped forward a little nervously but he hid it well.
“God of life goals and god of the wild.” Atropos stated. Grover froze. Percy ran forward and helped his friend to his side so that he wouldn’t faint in the middle of the throne room. Hestia summoned some tablespoons for Grover to eat as the satyr looked utterly shocked.
Hermes and Dionysus looked at each other in shock as well and then at Grover and nodded. There was no satyr more worthy than Grover to become the god of the wild after Pan.
Thalia, Percy and Annabeth looked proud of Grover and also a little worried at his current state.
“Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon.” Lachesis called out. Everybody stopped moving. Percy took a deep breath and stepped forward. Everybody smiled at him and nodded.
“God of tides, demigods, loyalty, waves, trust, poisons, blood, fluids and liquids and god of time. Bane of Kronos, Hyperion and the Minotaur. King of the second council of the gods.” Atropos declared. Percy looked shocked. It was as if Thalia had gone and electrocuted him five times but he shakily bowed and stood next to Poseidon as the fates disappeared. Poseidon beamed extremely proudly at Percy though he was a little weirded out as to why Percy would have the domain of poisons, blood and time. The time made sense but having the domain of a titan was next level.
“HOLY-“ The newly turned gods all but shouted.
“God of time?” Percy said shakily.
“That’s insane but it makes sense.” Nico said.
“But isn’t that Kronos’ domain?” Percy said
“It is but its not his power that makes him a villain. Its his greed and other evil intentions. You have none like that. You’re a good person, Seaweed Brain.” Annabeth smiled at him. Percy nodded.
“I want to focus on the fact that I was right about Percy going to be our king.” Castor chuckled.
“Dude, almost everybody knew that.” Chris snorted. Percy gave them a small smile. He was trying to wonder how he was going to do that.
“You’ll be a great king.” Jason muttered to Percy with a smile as if he had heard what Percy was thinking.
“Thanks man.” Percy said gratefully. Jason nodded.
“Grover’s god of the wild!” Katie grinned. Everybody cheered. Grover flushed red.
“No better satyr than him to carry on Pan’s title.” Hermes said. Dionysus nodded in agreement. Grover’s eyes widened as he turned redder at the compliment.
“Thank you so much.” He said. Hermes and Dionysus nodded and gave him a small smile.
“Nico’s a king!” Percy grinned. Nico turned red. Hades gave him a proud look. Everybody cheered.
“So are you.” Nico said. Percy chuckled. Reyna high fived Nico.
The Olympians were looking extremely proud of all their children. The domains, the way the carried it and the people that they were. They were lucky to have kids like these. It was about time that they realized it.
Chiron was looking proudly at the demigods who were now gods. He was made immortal as well and he considered that there was nothing that he would rather do than to teach and mentor and advise them for eternity. He smiled at his students and felt a surge of emotion as he saw how far they had come.
“Lets go.” Poseidon said. Everybody nodded and left the throne room. Percy went to the quarters, took his sword and put in his pocket and grabbed his trident and went to the beach. Poseidon saw Percy go towards the beach and got up and went with him. He knew how his son felt. He probably expected the first three to four domains and maybe even one or two of the other ones but Poseidon knew that Percy had never expected to get the domain of time and blood for whatever reason he got that domain. But the sea god felt that it wasn’t the domains worrying Percy as much as it was that he was going to be a king.
“Hey dad.” Percy said, without looking in Poseidon’s direction.
“How did you know it was me?” Poseidon asked with a smile.
“I just did. Kinda got used to it.” Percy chuckled. Poseidon nodded.
“I’ll help you train.” He said. Percy nodded with a smile.
“My wounds feel better. It still hurts but they’re better. I think it has something to do with turning into a god.” He said.
“Most probably.” Poseidon nodded. “It feels like I’m looking in a mirror and talking to myself.” He said with a chuckle. Percy laughed and nodded.
“I’m going to take that as a compliment.” He said
“I’m glad you look like me. I mean I wouldn’t have minded even a bit if you looked like your mother but I’m glad that you look like me.” Poseidon said. “Okay that sounded confusing.” He admitted, tilting his head. Percy snickered.
“Mom’s coming after we get used to our powers. Along with some demigods to get turned immortal.” He said.
“Oh that’s good.” Poseidon said. Percy nodded. Poseidon went and stood next to Percy with his trident and the two of them practiced some tricks with their weapons and it was quiet for some time.
“Do you think that I’m going to make a good king?” Percy asked as he took a break.
“I think that you’re going to make a great king.” Poseidon said with a warm smile. “I’m not being biased or saying that just because you’re my son but because I mean it.” He said. Percy smiled at him. He leant against his trident. Poseidon looked highly amused by this because that’s what he did at times. His son really was similar to him in more ways than one.
“That is exactly…exactly how you look.” Triton said to Poseidon as he reached the beach. Poseidon nodded and chuckled.
“All right. I’m done thinking for now.” Percy said finally and grinned. The other two chuckled and nodded. They walked to the pavilion.
“Hey Kelp Head!” Thalia called out. Percy turned to look at them and grinned.
“Pinecone face!” he waved. Everybody chuckled. Thalia, Nico and Jason were there with their fathers in the pavilion, probably talking about their domains.
“I just became the darkling.” Nico said in amusement.
“In terms of power.” Percy nodded.
“You became a tidemaker.” Nico said. Percy grinned and nodded.
“And Jason became a squaller.” Percy chuckled.
“And Leo became an inferni.” Nico said. Everybody chuckled or laughed.
“Oh hey guys. Listen up. I have a message for you guys.” Hermes said as he jogged up to them with a grin. Everybody looked at him.
“The fates say that Dionysus is going to be training you to get used to your powers before you continue reading because you might want to avoid accidents during the reading and that’s going to take about 3-4 months at the minimum so we have a break till then. And secondly, there’s a party tonight with your official introductions and Percy’s coronation so you guys need robes or chitons and togas.” Hermes said.
“So we need cape robes or like toga and chiton robes?” Nico asked
“Toga and chiton robes. Togas for romans and chitons for Greeks. As you guys are technically Greco- Roman gods, your official introductions have to be in those clothes. You can pick the colors and designs. Oh and third, you need to choose your symbols of power.” Hermes said. The demigods exhaled.
“Oh that is a lot of work.” Thalia groaned. Hermes gave her a cheeky grin.
“I’m torn between choosing my trident and sword.” Percy said
“Here’s an idea. You could combine them. Like you could take a controller or something. And each button can lead to a new weapon. That’d be one heck of a symbol of power.” Hermes suggested.
“That. Is. Brilliant. I’m gonna make it return to me whenever I hold out my hand so I don’t have to wait for it to return to my pocket.” Percy said with a grin. Hermes grinned and winked at him.
“I was thinking Seraphim’s weapon but mine could be with both sides having the two spikes.” Nico said
“That sounds lit but just get a cool design of it. Don’t keep it plain.” Jason said. Nico nodded with a grin.
“So I’m noting it all down so I can give it to Hephaestus.” Hermes said. Everybody nodded.
“I’d have my shield with half its rim having spears coming out of it. And once I use one, it gets replaced by another.” Thalia said.
“Ooh. That’s good.” Hermes grinned.
“Jason?” Thalia asked
“Hmm. I’m think a rod like thing with small spikes coming out of it on the sides except for the part where I hold it and all of those spikes crackle with lightning.” Jason said.
“Awesome.” Percy said with a grin.
“Well, all you guys have had some really interesting designs. The others as well, I mean.” Hermes said with amusement.
“Really?” Nico asked
“I wish I had thought of them too.” Hermes chuckled.
“They really are ingenious.” Hades agreed. The newly turned gods grinned.
“I’m gonna go and give these to Hephaestus.” Hermes said and raced off.
Soon night fell. Everybody ate and went to bed. The newly turned gods lied awake thinking and processing what happened. They all smiled and chuckled when they remembered everybody’s reactions to the changes and slept with that smile playing on their lips.
They all woke up early tomorrow and stretched.
“First night as a god. I’d say it was a success.” Katie laughed. Demeter chuckled and the two of them went outside to meet everybody. Apparently, the newly turned gods had had a food fight or rather, the Stolls had thrown water balloons which were filled with ketchup mixed with water (disgusting) on everybody. Katie considered herself lucky to have escaped it.
Everybody had changed by now and were civilly eating when Piper’s phone rang. She picked it up and was smiling by the time she cut the call.
“My dad’s completely all right now. He seems to be processing it and considering everything that we told him. Especially now that he feels better about ‘wanting somebody to blame’ thing.” Piper said. Everybody cheered and smiled. Piper gave Castor and Pollux grateful looks which they waved away with a smile.
Then Percy’s phone rang.
“Its mom.” He smiled. The newly turned gods all hurried to Percy’s table and the sea gang cleaned off the table so that some of the demigods could sit on the table.
“Put it on speaker.” Nico said. Percy nodded and picked up the call and put it on speaker.
“Hey mom. You’re on speaker.” Percy said.
“Percy! How are you doing? Your voice is so different.” Sally’s voice came through the phone.
“I’m doing great. Yeah, it got deeper.” Percy smiled.
“Hey Aunt Sally!” The others called out. Sally chuckled through the phone.
“Hello.” She said. The newly turned gods all had wide grins spread across their faces. The Olympians had smiles as they watched that.
“We all got turned into gods.” Thalia said with a grin.
“What?” Sally asked
“Yep. Even our looks changed a bit.” Travis said “And our voices.” He added.
“I’m taking you on facetime. Hold up.” Percy said.
“This is interesting.” She said. Percy cut the call and facetimed Sally.
“Hey mom.” Percy grinned. Sally’s eyes almost bulged out.
“Percy?” she asked
“Yeah. Its me.” He laughed.
“Oh my-“ she started. Everybody chuckled.
“Hey dad. Come here one sec.” Percy called. Poseidon grinned at him and went to stand behind him.
“Hey Sally.” He said. Sally’s eyes widened even more which was not supposed to be physically possible.
“What on earth.” She said. “You both look and sound exactly alike.” She said
“That’s what we said!” The other demigods chorused. Sally laughed.
“This is strange yet wholesome.” She said. Poseidon and Percy grinned identically at each other.
“Hey aunt S.” Nico said, coming into the frame.
“Nico! You look and sound different too.” Sally said with a small smile.
“Yeah he does. Wait a sec.” Percy said
“Hey uncle, you and Nico should come in front of the camera together once.” He said. Hades sighed and nodded with a smile. Percy handed Nico the phone and made sure that the screen recording was still going on.
“Hello.” Hades said to Sally.
“I don’t even know what to say.” Sally said. Nico grinned.
“You and Percy look exactly identical to your fathers. And sound too.” She said.
“Funny huh?” Thalia chuckled. Sally nodded.
“How’s Estelle?” Will’s voice came.
“She’s great!” Sally smiled.
“We’ll come to visit once we get used to our powers.” Pollux called. Sally smiled warmly.
“She’d love that.” She said
They all talked for some more time and then eventually cut the call because Sally had to go somewhere. They all spent the rest of the day, talking and relaxing. Hephaestus came to them in the evening, an hour before the coronation and party.
“All your symbol of powers are done.” He said
“And so are your chitons and togas.” Aphrodite added.
Everybody buzzed with excitement. Hephaestus took them to see their weapons and the newly turned gods’ faces brightened up. The other gods looked impressed. Nobody but the specific owners of the weapons could use it.
“This is so amazing…” Percy grinned as he picked up the controller which was a 3D model of a wave. He pressed one of the buttons and it turned into a pen which turned into Riptide. He clicked it back and turned it back into a wave and the clicked another button which turned it into a trident and then he put it back and each button turned it into a different weapon. He could also divide them into two weapons. There was a separate button for that. He would click it and then click the buttons of the two or more weapons he wanted and the controller would turn into them.
Nico picked up his two sided bident which wasn’t called a bident because of having two spikes on both ends. He decided to call it a targen. It was pitch black and looked like it was made of shadows and could turn invisible on will.
Lee touched his arrows which were his symbol of power. Each arrow had five tips and those arrows were unlimited. Each time his quiver would go empty, it would fill up again.
Leo looked at his fire changer. He strapped it to his wrist and it snapped on his wrist like Iron man’s suit for his hand. He could easily deactivate it and it would disappear to others but would be visible to him. It could never get lost either. The fire changer would help increase the damage of his fire and increase the size. It could also turn into Greek fire.
The others admired their own symbols of power and grinned.
“They look really good.” Ares said.
“Thanks.” Hephaestus said.
“They really do look great.” Artemis said
“Damn, don’t you guys have a wild and amazing imagination?” Apollo chuckled. The newly turned gods winked at him.
“It helps.” They said.
Once evening fell, the courtyard was decorated with lights and there was a bar and a DJ table and it was all ready for a party. The newly turned gods wore their chitons and togas and grabbed their weapons.
“How do I look?” Percy asked after he wore his chiton.
“Amazing.” Triton said with a grin. Percy sighed in relief. His toga was a sea green color with the effect of moving waves across it. The effect made it look like there were waves rolling off and on his chest. He wore a laurel in his hair and the fates had also cured his cut wound (For which he was really grateful) and he had turned his symbol of power into his sword and trident. His sword was strapped around his waist while he held his trident.
“You look really good, brother.” Tyson said
“Thanks guys.” Percy smiled.
For the first time, Tyson wasn’t wearing his normal clothes but was wearing a chiton as well. His chiton was a little different so that it covered his whole back because he didn’t want to show his sphinx scars. His chiton was a print which had both a fire print and wave prints so it looked like fire and water mixing together and it showed that he was a child of the sea and made weapons in the forges.
“You look awesome, Ty.” Percy said genuinely with a grin. Tyson flushed red and smiled back.
The sea gang went outside and merged with their group. All of the Olympians were wearing their robes because only the newly turned gods were wearing chitons and togas. Jason was wearing a chiton, showing that he had chosen Greek. All of the newly turned gods and goddesses looked simply amazing.
“Looking good, Kelpy.” Thalia smiled at Percy who grinned back. Nico nodded as well.
Thalia was wearing a silver chiton with an effect of lightning on it and it looked like she was crackling with electricity. She had her shield strapped on her arm and her bow and quiver on her shoulder and back and a laurel on her head.
Nico looked like a king of ghosts and darkness. His robes were pitch black just like his targen. It looked like he was shrouded in darkness. There were some occasional red streaks to pass across his chest but otherwise it was pitch black. He had a laurel on his head just like all the other newly turned gods. His hair touched his shoulders as they were open and his targen looked powerful as he held it.
When Nico and Percy stood together, people looking from the back could easily mistake them for Hades and Poseidon. The only way to tell them apart was that Nico was shorter than Percy while Hades was taller than Poseidon. Everybody’s height had increased by two inches during the night but the difference was still the same.
Leo was wearing a chiton with flames streaking through it. It looked like he was on fire and his fire changer was strapped to his wrist and he had his laurel in his hair.
Will was dressed in a golden chiton which seemed to glow and his sun tattoo glowed against his chest. His hair dropping on his forehead just above his eyes and his symbol of power was strapped to his waist. His symbol of power was disk which spun arrows which were attached to its rim and below it as well and could make any kind of arrows appear whether it be sonic arrows or healing arrows or some different level of arrows.
They all walked to the courtyard together and all eyes turned to them. They went and stood in the center where the fates stood as well. The fates announced their domains to everybody. The whole of Olympus was present there and they had all knelt in front of the newly turned gods while the Olympians stood behind them with smiles. They still remembered their coronations. It was quite similar to what was happening right now.
The fates called Nico forward and announced him as the king of ghosts and placed a black crown which looked like shadows on his head. Hades was beaming proudly and the crowd was cheering. Nico was smiling but he knelt to the fates and walked back to his group.
The fates then called Percy forward and announced him as the king of the second council of gods. The fates placed a crown on his head which looked as if it were made out of water. As Percy knelt, everybody felt the power radiating off him. Everybody was applauding, cheering and whistling. Poseidon was bursting with pride and he grinned. Percy stood next to all the other newly turned gods.
The fates had him recite the vows to be a good king to the people and to the gods and pledge loyalty (which was unnecessary but was part of the coronation) and to help make the decisions for the second council of gods. The cheers got louder as he finished the vows. Everybody was clapping. The Olympians and the people.
The rest of the night was spent in partying as the people of Olympus mixed. Percy went and joined Zeus as he was getting a drink.
“You’d make a good king, Perseus.” Zeus said. Percy looked a little surprised.
“Thank you…uncle.” He said. Zeus raised his eyebrows but didn’t protest it.
“And call me Percy.” Percy said with a smile. Zeus chuckled and nodded.
“Was your coronation also like this?” Percy asked. Zeus nodded.
“It was quite similar.” He said. Poseidon passed by the bar and looked pleasantly surprised to see Percy having a conversation with Zeus and they were even smiling or laughing. Huh, Percy was having another civil conversation with his uncle. Apparently, this miracle happened more than once. Just as he was thinking this, Nico walked up to him and struck a conversation. Poseidon looked over to see Hades talking with Thalia and Jason.
Once the people of Olympus had cleared out, the newly turned gods threw Nico a surprise birthday party. He was laughing and enjoying. He got two different cakes and looked pleased about having two different flavors of cake to eat later on. After teasing Thalia playfully about Nico being elder to her, they all decided to rest.
They all slept at the crack of dawn and woke up in the afternoon. Dionysus would be starting they newly turned gods’ training today and it would continue for a couple of months and then they would continue reading. Though it had been only two to three days since they hadn’t read, it felt like weeks. Not that they were complaining. That feeling was well deserved. They knew that it was going to feel only like days as the months passed. Unless, of course, Percy decided to slow time which he wasn’t going to do. Unfortunately.
