Interesting case

Summary:

Charles found an unexpected visitor at night who carried a mysterious purpose.

Notes:

Prompt:
It occurs to me that this ship has the potential to be extremely explosive. Anything you want to write with these two would make me very happy.

This is quite a short prompt. Inspired by the scene in X Men 2, which Mystique seduced Logan by disguising Jean.

So you can imagine Loki here is a constant traveller in Earth and enjoys studying the things in here. So the race of mutants, especially Charles, did catch his attention.

Work Text:

Charles sighed from the sight of the raining city as he laid his book on the drawer. He headed for the table and filled his glass, sipping the whiskey as he looked over the grey scenery of Prague. He thought this holiday could have brightened his mood in some ways. In the end, he felt himself no less than the raining sky.

He didn’t know how much he drank. He didn’t care though. If it had to be like this - spending his holiday with wine as his only companion. Travelling around this romantic country, wandering from here to there, If this could sooth his forlornness.

The footsteps were almost unheard because of the carpet. His eyes were half lid open when someone sat in the bed. Then he flinched when the hand touched his cheek. Through the shimmering sight, he could see the familiar face of the man. He barely changed a bit, hair still brown and tousled, eyes still grey, with his lips hanging that thin smile. He leant down and grasped his hair gently, so they may share a kiss.

Charles gasped softly when he reached his neck and pulled him closer, then began kissing Charles hungrily. Erik leant back and smirked mischievously, and started unbuttoning his shirt, and proceeded with what he was doing. Charles succumbed to his fantasy, that Erik and he were surrendering to their lust now, without showing attention to anything in the outside world. Everything was just like a beautiful dream, if it was really one.

‘That’s a lovely disguise. You almost fool me if you didn’t make that mistake,’ Charles muttered. Erik’s grin, or the one who imitated his grin, widened from Charles’s realization. A wave of green flash swept over the figure, showing the smirking shapeshifter behind.

‘What is it, then?’ His voice purred next to his ear. ‘Didn’t I look like him in every way?’

‘And this is what I’m saying, you looked too perfect for him,’ Charles answered. The trickster smirked then turned back to Erik.

‘But this is what you want. Am I right, professor?’ He asked innocently with Erik’s voice.

‘Who are you? What are you?’ Charles narrowed his eyes. The man only chuckled from his questions.

‘I can be anyone you want, exactly what you want,’ ‘Erik’ whispered. A moment later, Charles watched him shift to a woman whose eyes were as piercing as the diamonds she was made of. The wave of green flash then showed him the face of the CIA agent. The shapeshifter decided to make it realer, allowing the blue scales swept over his skin as he transformed into a lovely girl who was smiling seductively before her should be adopted brother, before turning back to Erik. Charles grunted in disgust and shoved the man away for an instance.

‘Get out,’ he growled. The trickster stopped toying and returned to his true form, eyeing at the professor curiously.

‘You’re an interesting case, professor. Until recently, I wish to study more about you instead of your whole kind.’ Unlike Charles, he was fully cladded this time. He was dressed in a kind of leather robe mixed with black, green and gold, with his black hair laid by his shoulders neatly. However he looked, what powers he stored, Charles knew for an instance he was not a mutant the first time he laid his eyes on him. Yes, this was not the first he’d seen him. Now he knew this was not a mere coincidence.

‘Why me? There’s a lot of people out there with the same powers. Why not Erik?’ Charles always knew Erik was one of his kind, and someday, he would realise he could be more powerful than any telepath in the world, including Charles.

‘Your lover has remarkable powers indeed, but he reminds me of my warmonger brother. As for the rest, none of them really catch my eye. Not even that ravishing white lady. She never set sight to anything further than her power’s limit,’ the trickster scoffed.

‘Who the hell are you? I won’t tell you anything if you don’t tell me yours,’ Charles repeated his question.

‘Apologies, professor, I would rather keep my identity private,’the mysterious man insisted.

‘You are different from them,’ he said again. ‘There’s much more to explore apart from your powers.’ He said in affirmation. He could expect the professor was not only a brilliant intellectual and powerful among his kind. But definitely unusually attractive and a perfect lover, given what he had just experienced.

‘For now, you may refer to me as Mr Laufeyson. As for the rest, you will know in due time, just like me learning about you.’  This man’s powers were still unknown to Charles, except for that shape shifting ability, as well as blocking telepathy like how Charles did. Mr Laufeyson’s lips curved into a mischievous grin again. For a moment, Charles found him and Erik somewhat identical without his disguise.

Mr Laufeyson closed the door and departed with ease, leaving Charles sitting in his mattress alone again.
