“Mom, I'm tired. Can I sleep in your house tonight?” Isa asked as she walked into her mom's room with a tired and sad look in her eyes.”yes mija.” Julieta answered with a worried look on her face. As Isa layed on her mothers bed embraced in her arms with a tear rolling down Isa's cheek, she asked, “mom..is it alright? If I don't stay with Mariano?” “Isa, you’re already married to him.” Julieta says sadly with her eyes looking down. I don't know what to say to you.”
“Mom…I’ll be quiet, it would be just to sleep at night.” Isabela said as she held her mothers hands close to her chest with a pleading look all written all over her face. “Isa..” her mother replied, guilt tinted in her voice. “It’s okay, mom. I’ll figure it out in my own life too.” isa said as she let go and walked away looking down. The feeling of sadness filled the room. Julieta stared at her daughter with a lump in her throat, wanting to say something as she walked her daughter almost step out the room. Isa stopped in the middle of the doorway and ran into her mothers arms with tears running down her eyes
``Mom, would you wash my back? This once, and then we can figure out what I should do. And I'll leave what I'm chasing, for the other girls to pursue!” Isa yelled in a sob. She let her legs give up on her as she slid down to the floor. With a broken heart she looked up at her mom with red puffy eyes and asked “mom, am i still young? Can I dream for a few months more?”
