It's already the 25th of December.
Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year.
One of Hyunjin's favourite season. And this year, he will finally try to do the thing he always wanted to do. Kiss someone under the mistletoe. And if he can kiss his Secret Santa, who's also his crush of almost four years, that would be even better.
But this was without taking Jisung and his stupid ideas into consideration.
“What the fuck Jisung?”
All of them were in the living room, looking at Jisung in confusion.
“No but think about it guys!” Says the squirrel looking man. “Kissing is so 2019 and not very COVID friendly when you think about it.”
“You've had a lot of stupid ideas but this one is the worst of them all.” Says Seungmin with a sigh. “Why would you want to slap someone under the mistletoe?”
“Because it's fun!” Answers Jisung with a big smile.
“Okay but who will slap who?” Asks Felix very seriously.
“Lix, stop encouraging him!” Says Hyunjin angrily.
The only time the blond dares to finally kiss his crush, Jisung needs to ruin his plan. And.
“We'll do it with our Secret Santa! After giving the gift to the one you've randomly picked, he will slap you! So be careful if your gift isn't good enough.” Explain Jisung with a vicious smile.
“I like where this is going.” Said Minho.
Hyunjin couldn't believe what he just heard. He can't choose the person he will slap, he will not have the kiss he wanted for so long and above all he will get slapped by his crush, one of the strongest of them all. Great. Absolutely perfect.
“Start whenever you want guys!” And Jisung disappear into the kitchen.

An hour passed. Everyone is having a good time and almost everyone has given their gifts, Minho being the first one who forced his Secret Santa to give it to him just to have the satisfaction of slapping someone. Poor Jeongin. Hyunjin still don't know what to do or how he can approach Chan as the older was talking with Changbin. He waits a minutes before taking all his courage and join his two friends.
“Sorry to interrupt you both but can I borrow Chan for a moment?” Demands Hyunjin shyly.
“Sure Jinnie.” Chan smiles kindly and gets up. “Be right back Bin.”
They walk toward the corridor where the mistletoe is hooked to the door frame and stand face to face.
“Here's your present Channie.” Says Hyunjin while handing the gift to Chan.
Chan takes it happily and hurry to open it. Hyunjin smiles when he sees the joy in Chan's eyes as he discovered his present.
“Wow, thank you so much Jinnie!! This is exactly what I needed!! And I–“ Chan continues to speak exciteldy.
And Hyunjin eyes can't help but fall and stares at the smaller plump lips who are just asking to be kissed and loved. The blonde was so entranced by Chan's lips that he didn't even notice the later stopped talking and laugh softly, waving a hand in front of the younger to make him focus.
“Oh hm, I'm happy that you like it, Channie.”
“I love it, thanks again.”
Hyunjin smiles to him and tries to escape his fate by walking in the direction of the stairs but a hand stops him by holding his wrist.
“Where are you going?” Asks Chan with a smirk, pulling Hyunjin back so they're face to face again. “You've forgotten something.”
Hyunjin closes his eyes strongly when Chan raised up his arm, ready for the impact that strangely never come. Instead, the hand that's supposed to hit his cheek is placed on his nape and pushed him forward so his lips could crash against Chan's. His eyes open wide at the action and he don't even know what to do, way too surprised. Chan's mouth stays two seconds on his own before pulling out. Chan smirked, showing his cute dimples.
“Are you okay?” Chan asks, amused by the younger lack of reaction. “I know this wasn't the plan but I wanted to do this for a long time and I felt like it was right.”
But when Hyunjin didn't say anything, Chan begins to worried, thinking he did something wrong. So, he tried to apologise.
“Hyunjin? Please say something...” He asks with a nervous laugh “I thought that you wanted it seeing how you were staring at my lips. I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable, I must have misread the si-”
The older couldn't finish his sentence as Hyunjin cups his face in his hands and kisses him like his life depends on it. Like he wanted to do this for years. And now, it's Chan's turn to be surprised but he quickly recovers and circles Hyunjin's slim waist with his strong arms, holding him tight as he deepened the kiss. They keep kissing for a while but part away when air was missing. Instead, they stay in each other arms and put their foreheads together.
“Please tell me this is not a dream and that we really kissed under the mistletoe.” Says Hyunjin, sliding his arms around Chan's neck and stroking his hair.
“It's not a dream baby, but I can pinch you if you want to be sure.” Chan responds with an amused smile.
“No thanks, I just escaped a death slap and I'd appreciate if it could stay like that.”
“Haha! Okay and what about a kiss?” Chan smiles fondly.
“I would like it very much.” Answers Hyunjin before joining their lips into a tender kiss, smiling into it.
Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year.
