“Your kiss felt so real in my dreams.”

Beomgyu laughed, delighted. “This is the most cringe thing I’ve ever heard, oh my God"

    or

Yeonjun and Beomgyu met in the summer, but they stayed together through all the seasons.

He felt alive and he felt his stomach blooming with giddiness and a smile spreading through his face just by thinking about Yeonjun. Beomgyu had never fallen in love.

Beomgyu was in love with Yeonjun.

And the realisation hit him square in the face when he heard take me home when I lost myself. He knew Yeonjun would guide him through anywhere and would help him through any storm in his life. Beomgyu would always find himself because Yeonjun would be by his side, guiding him home. Home doesn’t need to be necessarily a place, but it could also be a person or a feeling. For Beomgyu, Yeonjun was both.

"And, above all, he wanted people seeing it to feel the same rush, the same warmth he felt. So he decided to use his usual black and white strokes, and fought hard to choose a colour he thought represented Yeonjun the most. There was absolutely no way he’d choose anything other than golden, a paint that shimmered and almost reflected his own face. He decided to splatter that in the center of Yeonjun’s chest, like it was the light of his heart seeping through.

“It’s so simple, hyung. I drew something I love, I drew you,” Beomgyu stated like it was the most tranquil thing in the world, the simplest one.
    [...]
“Are you crazy?” Yeonjun laughed, and Beomgyu widened his eyes, hesitating. He knew Yeonjun wouldn’t laugh at him in a mean way, but he couldn’t help but swallow hard in uncertainty. “I have loved you since the day I met you.”
    [...]
“I love you here,” He said and kissed Beomgyu’s forehead, lips so soft and gentle it felt like a feather touch. “And I love you here,” He then kissed Beomgyu’s eyelids, one and then the other. “I love you here,” He kissed Beomgyu’s cheeks. Beomgyu felt Yeonjun’s breath hovering over his mouth when he went to kiss his other cheek. “I love you here,” Yeonjun kissed his chin, tickling a bit with his touch. “I love you here,” Yeonjun kissed his nose, almost bopping it. They both giggled. “Most importantly, I love you here,” Yeonjun guided Beomgyu’s hand to his chest, to his heart, who was beating like crazy inside his ribcage. Beomgyu opened his eyes, so wide and so full of surprise because he didn't expect that. He didn’t know he had such an effect on Yeonjun. His own heart was beating fast.
    [...]
In the corner of his eye, Beomgyu saw Apollo with his lyre, and he understood the choice of the god. While the sun set slowly, it was framed gently by Apollo’s hand. He laughed a bit. They had chosen the perfect spot to watch the sunset happening behind Apollo, and he thought it was so fitting.

Beomgyu was watching Yeonjun, and he felt like he had finally discovered the meaning of the word love. He loved Yeonjun. And he loved being loved. He still hated thinking he could lose Yeonjun, he still hated thinking that maybe he wasn’t good enough. He hated thinking he couldn’t give Yeonjun what he wanted, but feeling his hands touching his face so delicately, seeing Yeonjun’s face illuminated under the sunset, Beomgyu realised that it was okay to be scared. He shouldn’t worry so much about it just yet, because loving Yeonjun wasn’t blazing hot like fire. It wouldn’t die down with the wind. It was blazing hot like the sun, golden.

“You’re really going to be the death of me,” Beomgyu whispered, just like Yeonjun said back at the party when they met, and leaned in closer, catching Yeonjun’s lips in a kiss.
    [...]
“I love you,” Beomgyu said, because he did. It was so okay.

He realised, being hugged so lovingly, that loving wasn’t black and white, red, or blue. It was so, so golden, the colour of Yeonjun’s eyes and skin under the sun.
