Chapter Text
Vision fought to control his body’s reactions as Wanda moaned softly, arching closer into his touch.
He bit his lip as he continued to apply the sunscreen to her soft skin, the closest he had ever been to her while doing so, and thanked the heavens her body was shielding his arousal from prying eyes. Wanda was sitting in front of him on the lounger, scooted as far back into him as possible while still allowing him to splay his hands over her back, and Vision found it nearly impossible to resist the urge to pepper kisses all over the expanse of her shoulders and neck before massaging the cream in.
He sent a quick look to make sure no one was paying them much attention, and after noticing that Lila, Nathaniel and Cooper were swimming away from the shore, he slowly brought his lips downwards, relishing the small mewl she let out at the action.
“Vision,” she whimpered quietly, and Vision froze.
It wasn’t… too inappropriate, was it?
“You’ll get your own torture once it’s my turn,” Wanda grumbled, leaning her head back to rest on his shoulder.
“Torture?” Vision repeated, hiding his grin in her neck.
“Mhmm,” she hummed, hand reaching upwards to loop around his neck. “A different brand than it used to be. It’s no longer the pretense that’s torturing me, it’s trying not to jump your bones when you do that.”
Vision chuckled softly, unable to help himself, as his hands went back to work. The task was made all the harder by Wanda now being flush against him, but he made do, leaning backwards as much as the arm around his neck would allow to apply the cream to the few areas he had missed.
“Tell me, darling, did I not satisfy you mere minutes ago?” he teased, his breath hitching when the remark earned him a light dragging of nails across the back of his neck. Their slow kiss by the window had quickly turned desperate, leading to a short delay in joining Wanda’s family, but he was more than certain she had found her release despite how rushed it had been.
“Well, I’ll never get enough of you,” Wanda shrugged, before shifting her hips to show him she was more than aware of the fact that he felt the exact same desire as she did. He might not ever word it as her “jumping his bones”, but he most certainly wanted her again, regardless of the fact that they’d been together just before making their way to the beach.
“Me neither, my darling,” he whispered, and it was mere moments before Wanda decided he had applied enough sunscreen and it was now her turn.
She gestured in front of her, wanting them to switch positions, but Vision merely blushed, looking downwards. Even without looking, he could feel Wanda’s inquisitive gaze on him.
“It might be best if I laid down while it’s your turn,” he murmured, raising his gaze, and Wanda’s eyes flashed with both mischief and understanding as she let out a silent oh.
She got off the sun bed so he could lay on his stomach, and Vision had to fight his own oh from escaping as she straddled him as soon as he settled in.
Any hopes he might have had of this being easier now that he no longer had to pretend he was unaffected by Wanda’s touch evaporated instantly as she leaned forwards, peppering kisses across his back while she worked. He could do nothing but bite his lip harshly, anything to stop indecent sounds from coming out, or, even worse, pleas to simply turn around and go right back to their room.
Wanda deserved the remaining day with her family.
Still, the knowledge did nothing to make the ordeal any easier.
Once Wanda placed a soft kiss to the back of his neck, effectively covering his body with hers, Vision could no longer keep a moan in. It was at that moment, of course, that he heard Clint clearing his throat nearby, and only the knowledge that Wanda was above him had stopped him from whipping his head around in surprise.
Instead, Vision merely opened his eyes, finding Wanda’s adoptive father a meter away, arms crossed but with a smirk pulling at his lips.
“Well, I had always believed there’d be an obnoxious amount of PDA in any relationship of yours, if your brother’s relationship was anything to go by,” he spoke, shaking his head slightly. “Turns out we just had to wait a few days for you two to get comfortable.”
“We’re not even doing anything,” Wanda growled, sitting up straighter while still on top of him, and all Vision could do was send a small, sheepish smile Clint’s way. Even if he could sit up, he’d rather not show Wanda’s father just how much her “not doing anything” affected him.
“Sure, sure,” Clint responded with a snort, shaking his head again. “I’m certain that this is the exact same way you’d apply sunscreen to anyone else.”
“Whatever,” Wanda replied, but Vision could clearly hear the amusement in her voice. “Where’s Laura?”
“I don’t think she’ll be able to relax today, even though everything is already taken care of. She just… she loves you all so much, and she wants everything to be perfect for Pietro and Crystal,” Clint spoke softly, finally sitting down on his own lounger. The emotions in his gaze were clearly visible, as he was still facing them, and Wanda murmured a gentle: “I know” before assuring him the wedding would be as perfect as they got.
Vision’s heart warmed at the interaction, at the reminder that even though he hadn’t been lucky enough to find them, people like Clint and Laura existed. Wanda had told him that the Bartons had never treated their biological children any differently than Pietro and her, but even if she hadn’t, a mere week spent with the family would have clued him in.
He knew that he, too, wanted to be that person in a child’s life one day, be the father he never got to have. And, though it was much too early to even consider that, he couldn’t help but imagine Wanda by his side when it happened.
“Alright, kids, I won’t keep you two here any longer. Go enjoy the sun and the ocean while you still can,” Clint spoke up after a few moments, distracting Vision from his thoughts. He was relieved to realize that his arousal had calmed somewhat, but, once Wanda moved off him and asked if he was ready to go, he couldn’t help but rush after her.
Now that he was actually dating her, the nervousness he hadn’t been feeling around her parents before was starting to kick in. They seemed to like him well enough, thankfully, but it would probably be a while before he could be alone with Wanda’s father without blushing or stuttering.
Wanda grabbed his hand as she ran towards the ocean, making him chuckle, and all thoughts of anyone else left him as he followed. She stumbled slightly once they were knee-deep in the water, the sudden tug on his arm sending them both crashing into the ocean, and Vision couldn’t help but laugh heartily as he sat in the soft sand, pulling her closer against him.
“Sorry,” Wanda giggled, shaking her head before placing a quick peck on his lips.
Vision found himself instinctively chasing her lips as she pulled away, the movement making Wanda’s lips stretch into a wide grin before she placed them on his again. It was so easy to forget everything else while she was kissing him, so easy to get lost in the sensation, which was why the sudden splashing at the side of his face came as a complete surprise.
Vision jumped backwards slightly with a yelp, automatically giving Wanda a look of mock betrayal as he sputtered the salty water that had made its way to his mouth, only to find her doing the exact same thing, her nose scrunched up adorably.
“Got them,” little Nathaniel exclaimed, revealing himself to be the culprit as he high-fived his brother and sister.
“Oh, little munchkin. You’ve just started a war,” Wanda claimed, pushing herself back onto her feet to Nathaniel’s excited squeals. Vision took a few moments to simply observe, trying not to laugh as it became increasingly obvious that the youngest Barton had teamed up with Lila and Cooper before daring to splash them. Wanda was currently under attack from all three of them, her laughter and small curses ringing in the air, and Vision could no longer stay away.
“About time you joined me against these traitors,” she play-shouted once she noticed him, positioning herself against his back before redoubling her efforts. They participated in the splashing war until they were all soaking wet, Vision’s cheeks hurting from laughing, and soon enough all five of them were lying in the shallows, laughing even as they tried to catch their breaths.
As the day progressed and they all enjoyed their time in the sun and the sea, Vision realized that his relief about finally admitting his feelings to Wanda went beyond just not having to pretend anymore. The possibility of never seeing Wanda again had, understandably, been weighing on him the most, but he knew that he would have missed her family as well.
Especially since he wouldn’t have been able to bid them a proper farewell, since they couldn’t know that he was never supposed to see them again.
Now, though, he no longer had to worry about that.
“Vision, can you throw me again?” Nathaniel spoke, dragging him back into the present, into a reality so much better than his thoughts, and Vision grinned, already heading into deeper waters.
Time seemed to fly while they were having fun, and eventually it was time to head back to the room and start getting ready for the upcoming wedding. As the door closed behind them, Vision couldn’t help but notice the slightly anxious expression on Wanda’s face.
“Wanda, darling, are you alright?” he asked with a small frown.
“Yeah, I just… I can’t believe my twin is getting married today. God, I hope everything goes well, I don’t think I’d be this nervous if it was my own wedding,” she chuckled nervously, running her fingers through her hair. Her tresses were still damp and full of salt from the ocean, and Vision suddenly got the idea of a way to try and help with her nerves.
“I’m certain everything will go perfectly. Everything is already prepared, and Pietro and Crystal belong together. Though… I might have a way to help you relax, if you’d like.”
“Oh, you do, do you?” Wanda teased with a smirk, eyes roving over his body.
“I was merely going to suggest washing your hair in the shower,” he retorted with a smirk of his own, though he didn’t shy away from her appreciative gaze. “I heard the sensation of it could be quite calming.”
“Fuck, you have no idea how many times I’ve wanted to join you in the shower,” she whimpered, already stripping out of her clothes and dragging him towards the bathroom.
There was nothing calming about the beginning of their shower. Instead of getting clean, Wanda was whispering the filthiest things imaginable in his ear, making him groan desperately and buck into her hand.
“Wandaaa,” he whined, head lolling backwards against the tiles, “I’m supposed to be helping you relax.”
“Watching you fall apart for me makes me relax,” she murmured against his neck, tightening her grip around his erection. And fall apart for her he did, with a low groan and his knees almost buckling from the intensity.
As soon as he got his bearings back, Vision returned the favor with his lips. He could still feel the faint taste of salt from the ocean on her skin, even as the fresh water slowly trickled down from above them, and Vision found himself getting drunk on the moans and pleas he was drawing from her. His favorite sounds, though, were the chants of “Vision, V-vizh, Vi–fuck,” that kept escaping her as he moved his tongue or lips just right, before Wanda reached her own peak with a nearly silent whisper of his name.
They cleaned each other thoroughly afterwards, with gentle hands and soft kisses, and by the time they were in the bedroom once more, Wanda did seem much more relaxed.
“Mmm, thank you, sweetheart,” she mumbled as he dried each part of her off with a soft towel. He did his best not to get in the way as Wanda blow-dried her hair and arranged it into an intricate updo, limiting himself to placing pecks across her bare shoulders every now and then.
“Keep doing that and it will be your fault if I come to the wedding with my hair a mess,” she mock glared at him in the mirror, though it was clear she wasn’t bothered by the attention. It was made even clearer a few moments later, when she teased him with a smirk and a raised eyebrow, murmuring she had never told him to stop.
The process of her applying makeup was much the same, and once she was done and slipped into the vibrant red dress she had chosen, Vision knew that the only person that would hold his attention during the wedding would be her.
“How do I look?” Wanda asked, looking up at him with sparkling eyes, and Vision could only tell her the truth.
“Like a dream come true.”
“Smooth,” Wanda chuckled, resting her palm against his heart. “I’m gonna go check up on Piet and Crystal, make sure neither of them thinks themselves into a panic attack. Will you be okay?”
“Of course. I need to get ready as well, I have been, well, distracted,” he admitted sheepishly, as if Wanda wasn’t already aware of the fact. As if the expression on her face wasn’t clearly showing how delighted she was at being the cause of such distractions.
“I’ll see you soon,” she promised against his lips, before leaving him alone in their room.
Vision couldn’t tell how long he spent simply staring at the door with a goofy grin before finally shaking himself out of it. Once he did, he made his way to the bathroom, doing his best to get his hair looking as presentable as it could.
Once he was content, he headed for the closet, taking out the suit he had brought for today. “Hmm, and a red tie to match,” he murmured to himself as he placed the suit on the bed, grateful for the hunch he had gotten after learning about Wanda’s favorite color.
He carefully put everything on, not wanting to crease his clothes, and it was only once he was completely ready and had a couple of moments to himself that he realized he hadn’t told Tony about Wanda yet.
Vision gasped, feeling slightly guilty for simply forgetting, but in his defense, it had all happened so quickly. He had been so overjoyed and in disbelief that it hadn’t even crossed his mind last night, and today, well, he had wanted to get as much time with Wanda as he possibly could.
He unlocked the phone, opening his messaging app to see if his best friend was online, only to see that the most recent messages were from the group chat with Tony and the rest of his “Star Hunks.” The chat was understandably muted, as he couldn’t have a notification for something like that pop up on his phone while around Wanda’s family, but he now couldn’t fight a smile as he opened it and noticed Steve, Bucky and Scott sending him some encouragement before the most important event of the job.

Thank you all for your help in the past two
weeks, but I’m afraid I have to leave the chat

Before he could even start to elaborate, his phone started vibrating with an incoming call, and Vision let out a soft chuckle at the caller before answering it.
“Shit. Shit… A day before it’s done? It’s gotten that bad, huh?” Tony asked the moment Vision picked up, without even giving him the chance to speak.
“I’ve already returned the money,” Vision responded, distracted by the sight of Wanda entering the room again. “I’ll have to ask you to remove my profile from the webpage, as well as inform miss Virginia that I have to decline her offer.”
He was certain that Tony would realize what had happened based on the tone of his voice, but was surprised when his friend started frantically asking him if he was alright and if there was anything he could do to help. Vision’s heart warmed at Tony’s worry, but before he could reassure him, he was drawn in by a mischievous glint in Wanda’s eyes as she sauntered towards him.
“Yes, I’m afraid his ‘premium package’ is booked for the foreseeable future,” she quipped once she was close enough for Tony to hear, brushing her fingers over Vision’s crotch and making him nearly choke on his breath.
There was a sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line, followed by a soft oh, and then another, much louder, OH.
“Oh, you did it! Son of a gun, you actually did it. You took my advice and she decided she couldn’t let you go after you showed her some good time!” he yelled, making Vision chuckle and move the phone away from his ear.
“Well, not quite,” he laughed, shaking his head, “But we are together now. She feels the same.”
“Ha! You know, technically, I can still take credit. I convinced you to give this job a try. Tony Stark, the Matchmaker. Sounds good, doesn’t it?”
“God, it’s like listening to Darcy last night,” Wanda chuckled, rolling her eyes.
“Sure, alright, whatever makes you happy,” Vision laughed as well, pulling Wanda closer into his side.
“You’ll tell me all about it once you’re back in New York, but, if I’m not mistaken, you two have a wedding to get to?”
“That we do,” Vision confirmed, squeezing Wanda’s hand. “I’ll see you in a few days.”
“Stay safe kids! Don’t do anything I would do, and definitely don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” Tony demanded, making Vision flush and yell out a: “bye, Tony” before hanging up. He definitely didn’t need his friend going into any specifics while Wanda was within earshot.
Or, frankly, ever.
“I’m, mmm, sorry about that,” he chuckled as he put his phone away. “How are the bride and groom?”
“They’re both just fine,” Wanda responded with a grin, “neither of them can wait to see the other. There’s still some time before the wedding, do you want to head out or did you want to sit and rest for a bit more?”
Vision opened his mouth to tell her he didn’t have a preference, as long as it was with her, when the words caught in his throat.
There was one more person he wanted to tell.
“Darling, would you… I mean, I understand if it’s too soon… I-in fact, it probably is…” he stuttered out, unable to quite get to the point, and was met by a small frown gracing Wanda’s face.
“Hey. Vizh…” she spoke gently, placing her hand over his, “what’s wrong?”
“Well, there is one person I wanted to speak with yesterday in the hopes of finding some comfort, but I had talked myself out of it. Now… now I’d like to share my joy with her instead. Would you, um, would you like to meet Helen?” he finally managed to ask.
Wanda only smiled nervously, fingers already rising to run through her hair before she seemed to remember she shouldn’t ruin her updo.
“Well, you’ve already met my family. It’s only fair I meet yours,” she responded with a small nod, making Vision’s heart warm. She knew how much his old social worker meant to him, despite the fact that life often got in the way of them keeping in touch as much as they might want to.
“Thank you,” he whispered softly, cupping her cheeks in his palms as he leaned in for a short kiss. “It’s already quite late in London, I need to check if she has the time, or if she’s even awake.”
He got the answer mere seconds after he sent the message, a simple: “For you? Always” that made him grin. The grin only widened as she answered his video call, a wide smile on her face despite looking ready for bed.
“Vision! How have you been?”
“Good, I… I’ve been excellent, in fact,” he added, deciding that good didn’t come even near to describing how he felt. “And you?”
“Busy,” she sighed, shaking her head slightly, “but it’s worth it. And wow, look at you, what’s the occasion? Also, did you somehow get even taller?”
“I don’t believe so,” Vision chuckled, unable to hide his joy at seeing her again, “although it has been a while. But you’re just as beautiful as ever.”
“It’s been too long,” Helen agreed with a wistful smile, and Vision squeezed Wanda’s hand in encouragement, letting her know he’d introduce her soon. “Although I sense that this is more than a simple, even if long overdue, catching-up chat. Well, at least judging by your appearance.”
“You’re right,” Vision agreed, taking a deep breath. “We don’t have a lot of time, but I wanted you to meet my girlfriend.”
“Hi, I’m Wanda,” she smiled nervously once Vision angled the phone so that they both fit into the screen, just as Helen covered her lips with her palm. Still, her eyes shone with the smile hidden behind it.
“Oh sweetie,” she exclaimed, eyes darting between the two of them, “congratulations! You probably already know, but I’m Helen. I’m very pleased to meet you.”
“Likewise,” Wanda responded, “Vizh has told me a lot about you.”
“And he will tell me all about you,” Helen demanded, throwing him an expectant look that made Vision offer her a sheepish smile.
“I will, I promise. Although not today I’m afraid,” he spoke, gesturing to their outfits.
“Alright,” Helen smiled, dark eyes sparkling, “but I’ll hold you to it. Have fun, kids, and let’s not wait another few years before speaking again, okay?”
“No, never again,” Vision promised earnestly, and they all waved their goodbyes before Helen disconnected the call.
“That… wasn’t so bad,” Wanda chuckled, wrapping her arms loosely around his waist. “She seems nice.”
“She’s an angel,” Vision agreed, a soft smile on his lips as he looked his girlfriend over once more. “As are you.”
“A demon, more like, if the thoughts running through my mind are anything to go by,” she winked, giving him a slow and obvious once-over. “Damn, it feels good not having to hold these comments in anymore.”
Vision hummed in agreement, leaning down to place a kiss to the top of her head.
“We should really leave now, unless we want to be late,” he warned after Wanda’s fingers started wandering along his backside, chuckling at the small pout on her lips.
“Fine. But I’m getting you out of that delicious suit before the day is over,” she grumbled, the promise behind her words sending a new burst of color to his cheeks.
“Lucky me,” Vision murmured, unable to resist placing a final peck against her lips before steering them out of the room.
They took their seats between Clint and Cooper, and Vision took a moment to appreciate just how beautiful the scene around them was as they waited for the groom and the rest of the wedding party.
While he knew that the reception would be held inside, the actual ceremony would take place at the sectioned off area of the beach, under a rectangular wedding arch decorated by flowers and white voile. The wedding party would soon walk down the white carpet already covered with flower petals, and Vision smiled as he noticed Laura fixing Pietro’s tie some distance away.
Once the music started and they could see Pietro making his way towards the makeshift aisle, arm looped through Laura’s, Vision stood up, squeezing Wanda’s hand for comfort. Her eyes were already misting with tears, but it was clear they were tears of joy, a wide smile on her face as she watched her twin walk slowly towards the arch.
Pietro hugged Laura tightly once they reached their destination, and as he stood there, in a light blue suit and a white shirt, even Vision could tell that he looked ecstatic. More than ready to take that step in his life.
He was followed soon afterwards by Simon and little Nathaniel carrying the rings, then by Monica, and finally, the one everyone had been waiting for. Vision’s attention alternated between Crystal, absolutely glowing as she made her way down the aisle accompanied by her father, and Pietro, who seemed to look at her like she was the only person who mattered in the whole universe. Vision’s own gaze fell downwards, to the woman gripping his hand and trying to surreptitiously wipe the few tears that had escaped her, and he couldn’t help but imagine the possibility of having the same with her one day.
It was much too early for such thoughts, he knew it was, but he would blame them on the wedding. There was simply something magical about witnessing two people promise each other undying love while having the person he was in love with by his side for the first time.
Vision spent the ceremony gently rubbing his thumb against the back of Wanda’s hand, his other arm wrapped around her shoulders as she nestled against his side.
The happy couple spoke their vows just before sunset, with beautiful colors spilling across the sky and the water behind them, and Vision was certain that no one who had witnessed it could remain unmoved.
He smiled as he heard Wanda congratulate her brother in their native Sokovian, hugging him so tightly that Pietro wheezed before laughing and tapping her back, before moving to congratulate her new sister.
"I know I have only known you two for a week,” Vision spoke once it was his turn, “but I am truly happy for you. It was a very moving ceremony.”
“Thank you. If the way she looks at you is anything to go by, we’ll know each other for much longer than a week,” Pietro responded with a wink, before surprising him by pulling him into a hug as well.
“Oh, I agree,” Crystal added, grinning widely before sending him a wink of her own, “although I have more than her looks to go by.”
Vision flushed as he remembered the bachelorette party, and Pietro opened his mouth as if to ask before shaking his head and clearly deciding he didn’t want to know. Vision only smiled sheepishly before congratulating them again and rushing off to join Wanda.
“How are you feeling, darling?” he asked, his hand reaching towards hers without a thought, and he couldn’t help but bring her hand towards his lips as soon as she accepted the gesture.
“I’m overjoyed, it’s hard to contain it,” she chuckled, shaking her head, “but then again, I guess I don’t have to. My twin getting married is, hopefully, a once in a lifetime experience.”
Vision hummed in agreement, getting lost in her eyes for a few moments before she chuckled again, tugging at their hands.
“Come on, let’s head inside or I’ll be tempted to go back there and hog the line by hugging the two of them and never letting go,” Wanda warned jokingly, throwing a final look at the line of people that had formed to congratulate the newlyweds before leading him towards the reception hall.
They took the same seats they had been assigned last night, during the awkward dinner that felt like an eternity ago, but this time there was nothing but happiness and a bit of mischief in Wanda’s eyes as she gently placed her palm on his thigh under the table.
Their table and the reception hall filled quite quickly, and before long it was time for Pietro and Crystal to make their entrance.
“Time to see what Agatha has done,” Wanda whispered, a small smirk on her face as the tune of A Thousand Years started playing.
“Oh, I do believe the lessons have paid off,” Vision whispered shortly afterwards, watching as the coupled glided effortlessly across the dance floor. The rest of the world didn’t seem to exist for them and, now that the actual ceremony was complete, Vision found it increasingly difficult to keep his own attention on the newlyweds, where it should be.
Instead, his gaze kept escaping to the most beautiful woman in the room, to his own lady in red, and he felt butterflies erupt in his stomach each time he caught her glancing back. She was all he could focus on as the best man, maid of honor and the couple’s parents made their toasts, as he raised his glass with automatic movements. Conversations were happening at the table around them once the soup arrived, but he was once again unable to focus on them, the memories of the softness of Wanda’s lips on his too potent in his mind.
How long had it been since they had last shared a kiss?
An hour?
Two?
Whichever the answer was, it was certainly too long a time.
“Did you guys somehow become even more in love?” Lila asked suddenly, finally breaking through the fog of Wanda in his mind, and Vision startled, sitting up a bit straighter.
“It must be the wedding. Love is in the air,” Wanda chirped, reminding him of his own thoughts during the ceremony as she squeezed her hand tighter on his thigh.
He had believed that they had been doing a pretty good job of pretending during the start of the week, but the difference was clearly noticeable, if Clint and Lila’s comments were anything to go by. Still, no one had brought the beginning of their relationship into question, and Vision couldn’t help but feel grateful at the fact.
The rest of the evening was somehow even more perfect than the ceremony, at least as far as Vision was concerned. They had gotten up soon after dinner to the dance floor, showcasing some of their tango and waltzing skills, but, once the music turned slower, he found himself disregarding form altogether.
Instead, they were currently swaying slowly along with the music, Wanda’s cheek resting on his chest and hands wrapped loosely around his neck. His own hands were resting at the small of her back, and there was nowhere else he’d rather be.
“Vision, I…” Wanda whispered, raising her head to meet his eyes. Her own glimmered like emeralds, and Vision got lost in their depth until her next words made the air leave his lungs in a rush. “God, I know it’s early, but I think I’m in love with you.”
“Oh darling,” he murmured, doing his best to fight off his tears, “I believe I’m in love with you as well. No one has ever made me feel the way that you do.”
Their lips met in a slow, sensual kiss after his confession, the one thing he had wished he could do during every one of their dance lessons, and nothing else mattered but the woman in his arms and the soft notes of Perfect playing in the background.
They remained on the dance floor until it was time for the newlyweds to receive their presents, and Vision watched with a wide grin afterwards as Wanda danced with Nathaniel and the rest of her family. Vision himself was soon dragged out of his chair by Kate, and he spent the next two songs laughing and alternating between dancing with her and Yelena.
It was a beautiful night, a perfect one, and yet he couldn’t stop a sigh of relief once he was finally back in his room, leaning against the door as he closed it behind Wanda and himself. His eyes were instantly drawn to her like magnets, and Vision’s breath caught in his throat at the look she sent back.
“There’s one more thing I said I’d do before the day was over,” she murmured, voice slightly hoarse, and then she was once again kissing him against the door, her fingers fiddling with the knot of his tie. The rest of his clothes soon joined the tie on the floor, but it was difficult to care about possible creases as Wanda’s gaze seemed to devour him, as she slid the dress down her body and stepped out of it before leading him towards the bed.
They both sighed softly once he entered her, foreheads resting together, and Vision wanted to stay in that exact moment forever. Instead, they both started moving in unison, in the kind of dance that had nothing to do with the dance floor.
Having her wrapped tightly around him somehow felt even more incredible than last night, and how wouldn’t it?
She was in love with him.
“Oh, Wanda. My darling Wanda,” he murmured as she mouthed at his neck, and a part of him hoped she’d leave her mark for all to see. He’d bear any mark as long as it was hers.
“Make love to me, Vizh,” she whispered against his skin, and Vision let out an intelligible sound at the request, turning them over so he could see all of her. Wanda softly gyrated her hips on top of him, hands reaching upwards to take out the bobby pins and everything else holding her hair up until it spilled over her shoulders and breasts.
“You are breathtaking, my love,” he whispered, hands roaming her body in unconcealed awe, and she whimpered, slowly starting to pick up her pace. His hips met hers thrust for thrust, both of them letting their moans fly freely, and once she collapsed on top of him with a few tears tickling the corners of her eyes, Vision could hold his own release back no longer.
His arms wrapped loosely around her back as they laid there completely relaxed, simply breathing each other in, and Vision couldn’t quite hide his confusion when Wanda chuckled suddenly, a soft melody turning louder as she shook her head.
“Darling?” he asked, lips curling slightly as he tilted his head on the pillow.
“I just… how are you real?” she asked, chuckling again before placing a kiss to the top of his nose.
“I could be asking you the very same question,” Vision responded, squeezing his arms more tightly around her.
They fell asleep shortly after cleaning themselves, wrapped in each other’s embrace, and once the morning came Vision couldn’t help but groan at the thought that they would have to leave this place soon.
“Mmmm, where’r’you going,” Wanda mumbled, her grip around his arm tightening once he tried to get up.
“We haven’t packed yet,” he reminded her with a laugh, letting out a soft oof once she blindly reached out with her other hand and pulled him even closer.
“I’ll just throw everything in the suitcase and sit on it until it closes,” she claimed, scrunching up her nose and only making Vision laugh again.
“I thought I offered to pack your things, back when we first arrived,” he reminded her, reaching up to gently remove the few strands of hair that had fallen over her eyes.
That made her pause for a few moments, before she reluctantly cracked and eye open.
“How long will that take?”
Vision quickly checked the time, taking a few moments to make an estimate, before speaking up again.
“If I start now, we will have time for breakfast and should still make it to the airport with time to spare.”
Wanda groaned softly, as if deciding whether keeping him in bed longer was worth having to pack her suitcase herself, before grumbling: “fine” and gently pushing at his chest.
Vision laughed again, shaking his head as he got up and headed to the bathroom. Once he was ready for the day, he put on his travel clothes and gathered all of his products from the bathroom. As he stepped back into the room, he put on some music to help him work and decided to start by packing his own suitcase, since he was more familiar with both the process and the things that would go into it.
By the time he was finished, Wanda looked more awake on the bed, biting her lip as she stared at him.
“Is everything alright, my dear?” he asked with a grin once he was done organizing her clothes in his mind and started implementing his plan.
“You know… I warned you I’d be hesitant to let you go if you did this for me,” she responded with a grin of her own, propping herself up on her elbows to see him better.
“Good. Because I don’t ever want you to,” he promised softly, folding the shirt he was holding before placing it into the suitcase. The process didn’t take him as much time as he had believed it would, and he was able to steal a couple more minutes of cuddling in bed with Wanda before she, too, needed to get dressed in the clothes he had left out for her.
The breakfast passed by in a blur, with everyone he knew rushing in order to be able to make it to their own flights in time, but he did manage to have a few laughs with Kate, Yelena, and Wanda’s siblings. All in all, the day had started in a much better way than he had imagined it would mere days ago.
Still, Vision couldn’t help but feel wistful as he looked around the room he and Wanda had shared for the past week. The room they had first entered as little more than strangers, and the one they were now leaving as so much more. He would certainly miss it.
“It holds many memories, doesn’t it?” Wanda spoke softly, as if reading his mind, and Vision could only hum.
“It does,” he agreed, squeezing her hand before going to pick up his suitcase and laptop bag, “although I intend to make many more with you.”
“That sounds like a plan,” Wanda replied, biting her lip before standing on her toes to kiss him.
The check out at the reception went without an issue, as did the trip to the airport, and Vision felt his heart squeeze slightly as little Nathaniel pulled both Wanda and him into a tearful hug soon after they checked in their bags and passed through customs.
“Hey. We’ll see each other soon, you know?” Wanda promised, leaning down to place a kiss to the top of the boy’s head before ruffling his hair.
“I know,” Nathaniel sniffled, wiping at his eyes, “but I’ll still miss you until we do.”
Vision quickly hugged and said goodbye to the rest of Wanda’s family as well, since they had to rush in order to board their plane in time, and once they were alone Vision sighed softly as he realized that this was it. Their magical vacation was officially over, and only a few hours long flight was now separating them from reality.
Still, the knowledge was made easier by the fact that Wanda, his Wanda, would be boarding the plane right along with him.
“Would it surprise you if I told you I’ve never been this early for a flight?” Wanda asked after a few moments, making Vision raise an eyebrow in amusement.
“Forty-five minutes? Hmmm, I must admit, it doesn’t surprise me at all,” he teased, chuckling when Wanda stuck her tongue out at him.
They headed towards the waiting area and settled into their chairs as they waited for their boarding call, sharing pictures of the friends they couldn’t wait to introduce each other to and already making plans for the date Wanda decided she’d take him on in two days.
The flight passed in a similarly pleasant way, with Wanda curled against his side as they watched episodes of Full House on their in-flight entertainment systems, but too soon the announcement that they were about to land came on over the speakers.
Vision’s heart fluttered nervously inside his chest as they waited for their bags, their hands held firmly together until their suitcases arrived and they both needed to put on heavy coats before braving the February cold. Wanda’s gloved hand found his immediately afterwards, melting most of his nervousness away, and Vision flashed her a shy smile before leading her towards the exit.
As the sliding doors came into view, he couldn’t help but stop in place, his eyes immediately seeking Wanda’s.
“Ready?” he asked softly, unable to resist leaning down to place a kiss to her forehead.
“Ready,” Wanda murmured, bringing her free hand to run it gently across his cheek.
Vision nodded, a smile returning to his face as he took a deep breath.
This, today… it was supposed to be an ending.
Instead, Vision squeezed Wanda’s hand tighter, and they walked out of the airport into a new beginning.
