Summary
Tommy Innit was not meant to be anything more than unremarkable and unnoticeable in every possible universe. It wasn’t right, in the cards, his fate; whatever you call it. Of course, there are things stronger than fate. Things that had plans for themselves and the world. Things that just so happened to include Tommy in their plans.
Tommy survives. He carries his bat and he rests only when he’s dead and the dead never sleep. He carves magic into dilapidated buildings with wards that change the very foundation and he never, never, stays in one place for very long.
Tommy Innit has never had a place to call home or a name to call his own.
It’s not his fate.
But some things are stronger than fate.
