Work Text:

The stagnant air of the cool night air stung Hisashi’s throat with every breath as he knelt in front of the shrine he had created, candles flickering every which way from any light breeze. The man had his hands together as he prayed to an unknown god.

He opened his eyes and got to his feet. Reaching to the table of items, he grasped the sacrificial knife in his hands. The handle was a cold, dry leather wrapped in rough rope. The blade was a dark brown, curved in shape and glimmered in the moonlight.

He stared up at the moon. Its beautiful blue light shone upon the forest as it shone down on Hisashi and the shrine. He rose the knife to his own palm, and with a flick of his arm, crimson red liquid oozed from the cut he’d created. He just stood there for a while, letting the blood spill to the ground, staining the dark carpet in red. Not long after, he pressed his hands together once more in a prayer as he began to pray in an unknown tongue.

The wind began to pick up and the candles were swiftly extinguished. The moon up above began to darken as the forest itself almost seemed to change as the blood slowly drooled down to Hisashi’s elbows and dripped to the ground.

His eyes snapped open, and the wind completely stopped in a jarring silence. With a shaky breath, he unclasped his hands and raised them in a welcoming gesture. “Oh demon of old!” He announced, only to be met with silence. “I have brought to you a sacrifice that will sate your requests. I beg of thee to grant me an audience!” He continued, undeterred.

It was a couple quiet moments before a wispy tendril began to cautiously rise from the blood on the ground. Slowly, that single tendril coalesced into a massive creature of pure darkness that stared at him with thousands, no, millions of eyes. For a spell, Hisashi was silenced from pure and utter terror. His heart pounded harder as he stared into the void, and it stared right back. Unblinking. Inhuman. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he gestured to the three men on the ground. Their arms and legs tied together like pigs being sacrificed to a god. They too stared at the creathre, wide eyes but unable to even speak in its presence. The many eyes had quickly shifted to the three sacrifices.

Another moment of silence as Hisashi began to sweat nervously, and the dark body of the demon began to shudder. A muffled scream cried out from behind, and another, and a third one. Hisashi glanced back to see the three men, flailing with their faces contorted in pain as tendrils pierced each one in the stomach and slowly began to crawl down their entire body, consuming them.

In a matter of moments, the three men were gone completely. Like they hadn’t even existed. The monster’s eyes shifted back towards Hisashi, as if asking him to make his request. The green haired man took a shuddering breath as he began to gently pick up the item bundled in cloth inside a basket. On his knees and offering over the bundle, he had his head down, almost begging. “Please… grant my son your full protection… If those sacrifices were not enough, then I will return and offer my own body. But please, I beg of thee, bless my son and ensure his safety at any cost.” He said quietly as the demon stared down at the man. The forest was dead silent, as the demon wrapped a tendril around the child, asleep within the cloth. The demon gently brought the child to him.

A tendril shot out and pierced Hisashi right in the stomach, getting the man to grunt in pain. “A-ah…” he gurgled as blood rose to his throat. “P…please…protect…my….Izuku…” he whispered as the darkness consumed him. Within seconds, Hisashi Midoriya was gone from the world.

Now, Xbeltz’aloc looks down to the child asleep in It’s tendrils. The soft green hair is so reminiscent of his foolish father. It will grant that man’s request, for the sacrifices had been enough for such a contract to be made.

The tendrils tightened around the boy, and Xbeltz’aloc slowly began to seep into his body and meld together with his mind and soul. A flash of bright light and a shockwave as the two combined together covered the forest in a blinding display as the darkness that had consumed the moon began to fold into itself.

Later that night, Police and Heroes had come to investigate reports of a bright light and a sudden earthquake from the forest. Reports say they found a dark unregistered vehicle next to the crime scene. There seemed to be a sign of a struggle and the blood on the car floor matched up with Alex Kaiba, a 23 year old man of Japanese/British descent. He had suddenly disappeared for 4 days before the police were called to the forest. Two other people seemed to have been brought here as well, the police had found two other trails indicating they had been dragged to the shrine. At the shrine, they found a bloody knife, and tested it to be Hisashi Midoriya’s DNA. He had a son and wife, but Inko Midoriya had been caught up during a villain attack where the Villain had thrown a large piece of cement. The cement shattered against another building and both the sign that fell and the shrapnel hit her at the same time, killing her instantly. Hisashi had suddenly stopped coming to work for weeks after that event, which the people at the company understood.

What the company, and both the police and heroes, don’t understand is why his son was on the ritual table, and why everyone that had seemed to be present disappeared without a trace.

A massive, blond hero sauntered over, followed by 5 other heroes and 8 other police officers strode onto the scene. They all split up, and All Might had picked up the child and stared. He brushed his hand against the injury on his side, and brushed the boy's hair with the same hand. A really, really dumb idea began to develop in his mind.

Notes:

Probably a one-shot idk. I made this when I got writers block and it was pretty fun, might update it every once in a while
