Peter's heard that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die. And maybe that's true, for some. But Peter knows his people, and he knows that there has been nothing left unsaid, not between any of them. He doesn't need to see his life flash before his eyes because he knows beyond a doubt, without thought, that he loves them and has been deeply loved in return. It's written in his bones, and laced in his veins. Threaded through every fiber of his heart.
But what Peter doesn't know is the life that is still to come. The events that now, will never come to pass.
So, no. It's not Peter's life that flashes before his eyes.
It's his dreams.
