Work Text:
Tadaomi is not a morning person. Gakuhou is.
“Ngh,” Goes Tadaomi, as his warmth leaves the bed.
“Sleep,” Says Gakuhou, who gets up and starts getting ready for his 3 A.M jog. You know, because he’s insane.
Tadaomi grunts. Fluffs up the pillow. Buries his face inside it once again.
Gakuhou kisses his temple and then leaves.
Tadaomi is unable to fall back asleep. He sticks his arm out, taps around the side table until he finds his phone, and then peeks up from the pillow to scroll through his contacts. He finds the one he was looking for, and calls.
Ring one, ring two.
“I’m a hall down,” Gakushuu says, in lieu of a greeting.
“Ngh,” says Tadaomi.
“Yeah yeah,” Gakushuu yawns, “On my way.”
The call hangs up. Tadaomi drops his phone. Hears the door open.
Gakushuu, messy bedhead and pajamas and all, clambers into the bed next to him, and curls up against his side.
“Morning people are insane.” He mutters. Tadaomi hums in agreement.
They fall asleep quickly after.
Gakuhou wakes them up.
“I didn’t realize the flash was on.” He defends, holding his phone. Gakushuu takes a pillow and launches it directly at Gakuhou. He lets it hit his chest, and it falls to the floor with a pathetic ‘fwump’.
Tadaomi gets a hold of Gakushuu and drags him closer. Gakushuu goes boneless, and curls into him. They both ignore Gakuhou, who turns off his flash to take another picture.
Later, Tadaomi eyes Gakuhou’s phone over the man's shoulder. The photo is his wallpaper.
“Your dad’s getting sentimental.” He says.
Gakuhou scoffs. Gakushuu snickers, then hands him a mug of coffee.
“Why am I surrounded by night owls?” Gakuhou mutters.
Gakushuu kicks him under the table. Tadaomi kisses his cheek.
