Summary
Midoriya Izuku is 4 when he finds a statue in the woods near his small town - a young man sits cross legged, head bowed; curled around him is a great dragon in repose. The statue is just like the hero of Izuku"s favourite stories - the Explosion King of Musutafu - and becomes his constant companion.
Fifteen years later, the statue comes to life - and Izuku finds the old stories are not just true, he"s part of them! Set on a journey with the much surlier version of his childhood hero, Izuku and Katsuki - and the party of brave adventurers they assemble along the way - will have to work together if they want to save the land!
A Fantasy AU with shades of Journey to the West, where Izuku and Katsuki both learn the importance of leaning on each other, and how to separate the real person from a story.
