Remus Lupin hated Sirius Black.
Yet, here he was, standing in front of him with a coffee-stained button-up clinging to his chest, hoping to whatever gods were watching that Sirius wouldn’t notice that his usual white flat was not in fact in the cup in his hand, but soaking through Remus’s shirt.

Sirius is the executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company in New York & Remus dreams of becoming an author. So, he becomes Sirius's assistant, though he can't stand him. When Sirius faces deportation for an expired visa, he convinces Remus into marrying him so he can stay in the U.S... Remus just wants his manuscript published.
(I based this fic off of the movie 'The Proposal' starring Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds which I highly, highly recommend if you haven't seen it.)
