Chapter Text
If this was the first time entering Otto’s mind, it would be easy to say that everything looked well-kept, neat, and tidy. No overflowing pipes or hazardous plants overgrowing in the hedge-maze. However, this was the third time Razputin had entered this mind and things looked too tidy.
“We need to find 0tt0... and destroy that bad idea before it goes too far.”
Lili grinned, punching her own palm in excitement at the prospect of directional-violence.
They traversed the mindscape cautiously, avoiding any semblance of constructs rather than facing them head on – it seemed like 0tt0 had fitted them with some kind of device that would alert the whole mind to anyone attempting to interrupt his plans. There were even crude posters up of Razputin.
“Hehe – you look like a little robot.” Lili showed him, the boy groaning and shaking his head. “It’s cute.”
Finally reaching the building at the centre, both children held hands as they focussed and soon teleported inside the building foyer.
“Is it just me... or has this been going a little too easily so far?”
“Don’t jinx it!”
They crept through the building looking for the motivational construct and/or bad idea, soon reaching a purple lit room.
“That’s not ominous. Who says that’s ominous?”
Within, the once small motivational speaker now stood at Otto-height, donning a long robe that practically trailed behind him. He also seemed to have wiring wrapped around him like muscle fibres giving him a physical body, the bad idea purring as it seemed to precariously perch on his shoulder, purring into his ear.
Lili tugged on Raz’s sleeve, before pointing to some wires and tubing that trailed down from the ceiling to something under the platform the construct was working on.
“Ah, finally we can get some use out of those meddlesome emotions... We’re going to be ten times more productive once we get this body back up and running. And no more being held back by ‘friends’ or ‘morality’.”
Both children ducked back behind a pillar when the construct turned to leave the room, waiting a solid five minutes before rushing over to the screens and looking over the tubing trying to work out what was connected to what.
“What’s he using all these tubes for anyway...” she asked only for the room to plunge into darkness.
After a few beats, purple light spiralled the platform and the building itself seemed to rumble before a voice echoed from below.
“Would you like to find out?”
