“Joon, I think I have to hire a nanny” Kim Taehyung, an unmated omega speaking through the phone with concerns, thought about it for a while because looking after his son while working isn’t easy, he doesn’t trust anyone to do it except his mother.
It was a new era, that omegas and alphas have been equally accepted, all of them have an easier life, they aren’t judging by what they should do anymore, even though it’s a bit hard to prove themselves but it's still easier.
”How about mom?” Namjoon, Taehyung’s older brother asked with concern too, he lives on the other side of the world but the two of them always find free time to talk, sometimes they forget that they live far away.
Taehyung sighed while patting his son’s hair, lull him to sleep, even though he doesn’t want to make his brother more worried but he has no choice because Namjoon deserves to know.
“No, she can’t breathe by herself. They have to put on a ventilator to help her breathe but you don’t have to be worried, the doctor is good. She's gonna be okay” the omega shifting uneasily. His brother just leaves to work with his dream company, he can’t let this problem make him lose his work. Especially he knows that Namjoon loves his family so much.
“Joon, DO NOT blame yourself for this. Just pay attention to your work. Our mom is a fighter and you know that. I can handle this, you don’t have to be worried”
“Can you? You are alone, you have to look after your son, our mom and working”
Namjoon thinks it would be better if he didn’t leave and stay in Seoul, at least he can help his little brother, not like this, stay far away, only listen to all of the problems and do nothing.
”It may be better if I didn’t come here,” He added.
”Stop it Joon, Mom proud of you and me too. We never blame you so you have to stop blaming yourself. She doesn’t look good for a while, it’s not anyone's fault plus that’s your dream company, it’s only one chance for you. Do your best there and don’t say anything like that again”
Taehyung leaning in to give a soft kiss on his son’s forehead when he saw the baby shift uneasy, maybe because he’s annoyed by Tae and Joon talking through the phone, so he leaves the boy alone, can’t resist the wild smile when he looks at Spiderman pajamas and the matching bed sheet.
After seeing Spiderman's advertisement once, his son thought it was cool when you can shoot the spider web, swinging and hanging. Of course, his son wanted to be a Spiderman too, the more he knew an old version of the movie, Peter Parker bit by spider so he became a Spiderman, he was excited even told him to buy a spider.
Taehyung has to explain slowly that it’s just a story created for fun, it can’t be real. Finally, his son stopped asking for a spider but told him to buy every single thing he can think of to be a Spiderman collection instead. Taehyung can do it whether bedsheets, pajamas, toothbrushes or even his dining set becomes a whole Spiderman collection.
“How was Kiwoon?” Namjoon knows immediately when the others become quiet, his brother might look at his son lovingly.
“He’s bright and shines like usual but he still doesn’t like talking with strangers or someone he didn’t know well” It was another problems for Taehyung because he tried to bring Kiwoon to the nursery while he’s working before but it’s turn out worse than he thinks, he has to leave the workplace to bring Kiwoon home because Kiwoon wasn’t let anyone touch him. So Taehyung never thought about nursery school again.
What if he brings Kiwoon to work with him? It’s not a good choice. Taehyung is an engineer, working for a famous company. That means he has a lot of work and being an omega is never easy like that, it’s been a year until everyone fully accepted him.
“Are you sure about a nanny?”
“It’s not hurt if we’re trying, I will let them meet Kiwoon, If Kiwoon okay then me too”
“Be careful Tae, you and Kiwoon. A bad person is everywhere” Taehyung smiled wider, threw himself on the comfy cushion while adoring his brother, Namjoon still being the same, care and worried even though he would worry about himself.
“You too, don’t crack company’s belonging”
“Hey! I’m not that bad!”
Taehyung laugh a little, “You should go to work, I’ll go to take a shower and sleep too, luckily it was my vacation I will find a nanny tomorrow”
They bid each other goodbye before hanging up. Taehyung worried more than he thought, it was a big deal to trust someone to look after his only son, what if anything happens to Kiwoon when a nanny isn't careful enough?
But he still has time, two weeks won’t be useless. If something wasn’t wrong he will hire a nanny soon so he should go to sleep already, prepared to take care of his beloved son when the morning comes.

The next day
Min Yoongi stopped walking, he just came back from a cute date with his lover and was about to unlock the door, then he saw someone sitting on the floor, head hung low. At first, the worst thought came to his mind, what if it was a murderer? But then he smells the fresh land after the rain so he knows immediately who he is.
“Yah! Kim Seokjin, you scared the shit out of me. Why did you sit here?” Seokjin looked up slowly with a confused face, he rubbed his eyes before standing up. Seokjin is an alpha who has broad shoulders, perfect height, plump lips, fit muscle, and nice jawlines (Yoongi is alpha too but he is thinner and shorter)
“I thought you might stay over with Jiminie” Yoongi showed his gummy smiles when he heard Seokjin mention his lover.
“I thought about it too but tomorrow Jimin has a meeting with Jungkook. I don’t want to see that brat, don’t want to be in a bad mood” Seokjin followed Yoongi into his room that looked simple but comfy and warm even though the decor was dark.
“Finally stop being jealous?”
“Huh, I know they’re just friend but some time I can’t control my jealousy” Jimin and Jungkook were friends since they were kids so Yoongi can’t be too jealous of them even though Jungkook acted like a brat, made Yoongi want to kick his ass so bad like hook his muscular arm around Jimin’s tiny waist, don’t count he’s an alpha.
“Forget it, why would you come here?”
The other alpha knows too well that Seokjin won’t bother him in the middle of the night if he doesn’t have something bothering him or it’s really bad because they live far away, almost across the town.
“I have to find a job as fast as I can, I receive the letter today, they said I have to pay back my scholarship before the end of the next month” Yoongi understood immediately, Seokjin come from a normal family, not a wealthy one but he’s lucky that he’s smart so he pass the exam for a scholarship but again, it’s not for free, Seokjin have to pay back after he’s graduated.
Yoongi thinks about letting Seokjin borrow his money but they've been friends for more than ten years, he knows Seokjin won’t accept so it was the last choice. He has to help Seokjin find a job.
“You sleep here tonight, I will help you find a job”
“I applied for a librarian position at the University yesterday but they don’t have any position for me. They said there’s someone whose contract will expire soon, they will call me later” Yoongi nodded, so the work that suits Seokjin is something like a part-time job because he will have a full-time job to do soon and a salary of a librarian wasn’t bad.
“Go to take a shower, don’t worry”
The other alpha thinks, again and again, Seokjin is somewhat weird. He’s so soft, tender, calm, and polite more than any alphas Yoongi ever knows, even Jimin can relax around Seokjin so fast.
Seokjin is never fond of violence, he likes to take good care of others and also his cooking skill was incredible.
He thinks so hard that his head hurts a little. This morning Jimin opened a website to find a part-time job and asked him about going to be a nanny. Of course, Yoongi never agrees with it. His reason was selfish: like Jimin will be busy because he kinda has to move in to the employer’s house, working from Monday to Saturday, even if it's just half a day, Yoongi didn’t like it. He wants his omega to be close and spend much time with him.
Seokjin is single, he didn’t have someone to take care of.
But there’s one problem: the employer is an unmated omega just like Seokjin who is an unmated alpha. They shouldn’t be in the same house, it’s not smart to put them together but it’s not hurt to try.
The next morning Yoongi told Seokjin about it after breakfast. Of course, Seokjin denied it without thinking.
“I think it’s not a good idea, unmated omega won’t allow me to live in the same house”
“Just try Jin, all you have to do is told this omega that you can cook, you’re calm, polite, have a patient with a high level, or whatever that’s a good part of you but don’t tell him you’re an alpha otherwise he’ll ditch your application into the bin”
After trying to deny Yoongi’s advice for an hour, Seokjin finally gave up and filled the application while sighing every second.
If he’s lucky enough he will have a job, have money, have somewhere to live, and can do what he pleases.

Taehyung put a red mark on the application of 24 years old omega, who excused going home 10 minutes ago, he let out a heavy sigh. It has been three days already that he tried hard to get the right nanny but failed. The worst-case scenario is the female omega who gets smashed by Kiwoon hard enough to bruise so Taehyung had to pay her for going to the hospital.
That’s pretty bad.
Namjoon gets more worried because Taehyung hasn’t much time left, he will go back to work soon and if he can’t find a nanny in time then it’s harder.
Their mother is also not better, the doctor said they should be prepared to let her go.
Taehyung doesn’t dare to tell Namjoon, he knows Namjoon well so that the other will go back to Seoul immediately and then cause him trouble with his job so Taehyung won’t tell Namjoon until it gets worse.
The said omega stared outside the window, looking at the clear blue sky before turning back to his son, who’s playing Lego by himself.
“Kiwoon-ah, why don't you like the latest nanny?”
“I don’t like him, he’s smelling not like dad” Taehyung knows his son loves his scent so much. It’s lavender, but he never thinks it will be a problem like this.
“Okay”
The omega glanced at the last application. This one was weird because he’s not told about being an omega beta or alpha so it’s highly possible to be an alpha, but it’s hard to find alpha who wants to do a nanny job, it’s not their nature. Taehyung is confused but fuck it he has the only choice, he decided to rely on this even though he's an alpha but if he can get along with Kiwoon he will get hired.
Taehyung has no worries about himself being an unmated omega, Kiwoon is the only one he’s concerned about. The omega’s calling his last choice right away.
“Hello, I’m Kim Taehyung. I saw your application and I'm interested so if you still want to work with me, please go to XXXXXX, late morning is okay. If you can get along with my son then it all set”
“Seokjin, could you please stop being nervous? I feel dizzy just looking at you” Yoongi scolded his beloved friend countless times, even Jimin, who came with them also laughed so hard.
“Seokjin, you can do it just fighting”
Yoongi and Jimin drop Seokjin off in front of Taehyung’s apartment, and tell Seokjin they’ll wait at the cafe not far away before they leave.
Without Yoongi and his lover, Soekjing gets more nervous. He's never been like this before, nervous enough to stand like a rock right before the door room and do nothing for almost ten minutes until the lavender scent hits him, the alpha inhaling suddenly relaxed.
“Kim Seokjin-ssi?”
When he realized it, the omega standing before him, the door opened even though Seokjin didn't ring the doorbell yet.
“Uh, Taehyung-ssi?” the other smiled back at him before letting him walk inside the room.
“So, You are Alpha like I thought but why are you that nervous? I think I’m the one who should be, isn’t it?” So the other release his lavender scented the moment ago to loosen his tension?
“I really want this job and I don’t want to mess up”
Seokjin knows they are almost the same height and the omega seems to be around his age but in fact this omega is almost 30, that means Seokjin is younger than him around 8 years, the alpha feels like he must be polite.
“Dad, who’s come?” The cute, round and chubby cheeks peek out from the bathroom, the boy knit his eyebrows with curiosity when he sees Seokjin for the first time. Even Seokjin feels nervous all over again, he doesn’t know if this boy will like him or not.
“Soon to be your nanny, brush your teeth and come here” Taehyung was surprised when Kiwoon didn’t complain and nodded, the boy always has an excuse because he doesn’t want to talk with them.
Strange...
“Kiwoon-ah, say hello to Seokjin-ssi” this time Kiwoon doesn't complain about anything, bow politely, so Seokjin kneels to make himself on the same level with Kiwoon. He wants to warn the others his son might hurt him but when Kiwoon only looks Seokjin in the eyes, that's surprising Taehyung all over again.
Who is this alpha?
“You can call me Jin hyung if you want,” Kiwoon nodded, even though he was still confused who the man before him or where he came from? Dad said this man will be his new nanny but why is he different from the others?
“Did you have breakfast?” The boy shakes his head, he just woke up before Seokjin arrived half an hour so Taehyung didn’t prepare his meal yet.
“He’s woke up late, I didn’t feed him yet”
“Let me do that, Taehyung-ssi” Young alpha waits for Taehyung's response, even though he is confused but he manages to give Seokjin a nod because being Kiwoon’s nanny means he has to take care of his son’s meal anyway.
“Dad” A chubby hand grabbed his shirt “Smell nice”
Well, it looks like Seokjin got a tender point from his son.
“You can go to check while he’s cooking but don’t interrupt him, okay?” Just after Taehyung allowed it, Kiwoon disappeared to the kitchen immediately. Surprising Seokjin quite much but the alpha just smiled before lifting the boy up to sit on the counter, letting Kiwoon watch him cook closely.
“Do you like vegetables? If you want to be strong you have to eat nutritious food like rice, meat, vegetables. You will be healthy and can protect your dad” Taehyung wants to warn Seokjin so badly that his son hates vegetables, actually hates it all of his heart but when Kiwoon nodded, he couldn't do anything but hang his mouth open.
“Kiwoon will eat it but can I eat just a little? Kiwoon don’t like it”
“Of course, you can. We can try step by step, looking for vegetables you like or dislike. It will work out” The omega watches Kiwoon talking with an alpha nanny with a smiley face.
He will be the most stupid omega if he won’t hire who can get along with Kiwoon this well.
Even though that nanny is an alpha.
“I have to ask you some questions before we talk about the contract. Do you have a mate? Is it okay with you and your mate if you have to stay here almost every day?” Uncomfortable expressions across his soon to be employer, Seokjin almost released his pheromone to calm him down, luckily he could stop himself . Taehyung didn’t worry about alpha-omega things, he only worried that Seokjin may have problems with his family.
“I’m totally okay, I have no mate or lover and I am the one who should ask you if it okay to let me stay with you because I’m an alpha”
“I think I can trust you with that. No need to be worry, My work time isn’t fixed so sometimes I have a project to work on until late at night, Usually my mom will take care of Kiwoon but she’s at hospital right now so I’ll lay it on you”
Seokjin doesn’t hesitate to sign the contract after seeing how fair Taehyung was, he will attempt to stay with Kiwoon and Taehyung for a week to make sure they can get along well enough or not, if they can (which Taehyung was sure they can) Taehyung will let Seokjin take care of Kiwoon on his own for 3 days.
The omega cradles his long fingers through his hair when Seokjin goes back to his place, preparing to move in with them the next morning, he can’t help it but think Seokjin is a weird alpha. He met many alphas before, in his workplace, his college or even in his family. Kim Namjoon is an intelligent alpha, he is a good brother but sometimes when he’s mad he can’t hide his alpha side but about Seokjin, it’s different if he only sees his face he might think Seokjin is a beta.
On the other hand, it’s good to have an alpha around (the good one) because Taehyung can sense Kiwoon might present as an alpha. If the boy gets taken care of and taught by a calm alpha like Seokjin he will grow up well.
“Kiwoon-ah, Seokjin hyung will take care of you when I’m going to work. I know it may be hard but you have to be a good kid, don’t play hard on him and don’t give him any trouble, okay?” The boy looked into his dad’s eyes before giving a tight hug around a slim waist and rubbed his right cheek on a flat belly.
“Kiwoon can do it, Jin hyung smell nice”
“Yeah?”
“Jin hyung smells like a rainy day” Since he was young, Kiwoon has always loved rainy days the most, maybe because he was born when it’s raining. The smell, the sound of rain made him joy even when it’s stormy, Kiwoon never winces at that sound. He loves it all
Taehyung should be thankful that Seokjin smells like rain, right?
“Okay then, we should try your meal, you can eat it or not”
The pale alpha showed his unique gummy smile after Seokjin told him he got a job. “I told you! Go back to pack your things?”
There’s no answer when Seokjin stared at the love birds before him, Big hand hugged the younger one close to himself, Jimin’s cheek almost touched Yoongi’s chest.
“When will you two do it properly? Jimin is an adult, your family is also approved. You should mate already” Seokjin lays his slim but firm limbs on the table while observing his friends with a small smirk, ignoring a faint red on the younger omega completely.
“I can wait until Jiminie graduate but not longer than that”
“Yoongi” Jimin whined against his lover’s chest until Yoongi lift his round chin to peck on Jimin's lips
“Everyone is watching!” The omega scolding while his alpha shrugged, he didn't care, hugged Jimin close to his chest again.
“Um.. This cake looks good, I wanna buy it for Kiwoon”
“Buy it hyung, we can stop by there before go back to your place”
Seokjin can’t help it but thinking of Kiwoon, the boy smells like chocolate, so he may be like this cake, it’s not a waste of his time at all, to bring a chocolate cake to Kiwoon to make him happy.
And when the boy sees his chocolate cake, he beams at Seokjin, smiles and hugs the huge box like it’s his treasure while saying thank you countless times. It’s really worth it. Kiwoon even throws himself to hook his limbs around Seokjin torso when Taehyung takes care of a box of cake.
Looks like they can get along better than Taehyung expected.
Seokjin tried hard to not curious about Taehyung being an unmated omega but already have a child, he knows to well that it’s none of his business and even it’s weird because he couldn’t find any sign of another alpha around his employee’s apartment, not even a single picture, everything is about Taehyung and Kiwoon.
Weird, but it’s really none of his business
Just taking good care of Kiwoon is enough.

“Tae, I’m serious, tell me I misheard, you didn’t hire an unmated alpha to be Kiwoon’s nanny and move in to live in the same place with you, right?” as expected, His brother didn’t like his idea,
“I’m afraid you didn’t misheard brother, I already hire and made him sign a contract. I can say he’s not like any alpha I’ve met before and an important part is Kiwoon like him, actually like him enough to let him touch, eat some vegetable for him, plus hug him when he stop by to give my boy a cake, Joon, I’ll be an idiot if I didn’t hire him”
“Wait, Kiwoon did what?” Namjoon sounds a bit lost, that’s understandable. They know Kiwoon can’t get along with new people who he didn’t know before. That’s made them a problem many times.
“Let him touch, eat some vegetables for him and even hug him, Joon I’m an adult, you know? I’m almost thirty and have one child. I can take care of myself, I won’t let him near me if he couldn’t be trust, Trust me with this”
“Okay, but promise me you won’t let your guard down and call Hoseok if you have any problem” Jung Hoseok is the closest friend of his brother, the three of them grown up and play together since they were kids, Hoseok comes to play with Kiwoon at least once a week, he brought some toys every times he comes but the reason that he didn’t let Hoseok take care of his son because Hoseok is a busy man. He has his own business to take care of too.
Next day, when Seokjin arrived and unpacked his belongings already, Kiwoon didn’t wait any longer, he dragged Seokjin around the apartment to show the elder his own bedroom (actually it’s his dad too).
“Jin hyung, do you like Spiderman? I like it SO MUCH” Young alpha smiles widen when Kiwoon is the one who starts talking to him.
“Of course! He’s so cool, spread a web out of here” touch a small wrist makes Kiwoon giggles.
After that, Kiwoon follows Seokjin everywhere but Seokjin couldn’t forget he’s here to be Kiwoon’s nanny so when they’re playing around Seokjin try to make the boy play everything that can develop Kiwoon’s brain, He makes the boy molding clay.
Kiwoon makes Spiderman, surely.
Until a nap time, Seokjin lulls him to sleep successfully again.
“You can get along with him better than I expected” The alpha turns around to see his employee with dark blue tee and ivory shorts, leaning on the door frame and looking at him. Seokjin realized this is the omega’s room too so he shouldn’t stay for too long.
But he can’t deny the faint lavender scent is soothing and smells so good.
“Sorry, I will go now” Taehyung lifted his hands to stop him immediately.
“No need to, you can lull him to sleep easier than me. I want many stories to read before he sleep, look like he really like your scent”
“My scent?” Taehyung nodded, he gestured to Seokjin to follow him out to the living room, they should know each other for a bit.
“Kiwoon was born on a rainy day, that’s might be the reason he love the scent of rain especially so I think he let you get closer because of your scent, Normally he never open up with stranger this easy” The young alpha can’t help it but glance at Taehyung, who sits on the other sofa, travel his gaze from his lips, admires his low tone of voice and his scent is also intoxicating
But he has no right to think like this if he wants this job, he has to get a grip.
Seokjin shakes his head while thinking about scholarship before telling Taehyung about himself in return.
“I graduated a month ago but I have to find a job because of a scholarship. I try to register a few jobs but there’s no place for me, luckily my friend found this job and I got hired, I’m afraid I might be fail again because I’m an unmated alpha”
Taehyung sends a soft smile to him, it’s understandable, he should worry too but he’s kind of comfortable instead.
“If I have any problems I won’t let you near my son so I want you to relax around us, don’t worry when I’m around”
The omega leans to the couch while watching the other carefully, he has a handsome face, full pink lips that no need to tell he is healthy, broad chest and broad shoulders, perfect body building. It’s all the alphas could have even though he’s calm, gentle but still has a leader sense from an alpha natural, he just kept it at bay, didn’t use it in the wrong way.
He really wishes Kiwoon could grow up to be like this. Good, calm, gentle, reasonable and kind.
Not like someone he should forget a long time ago….
But it has no point thinking about it now. It’s just some bad part of his life, not a whole life.
Doing your best for today is enough.
After moving into Taehyung’s apartment for a while, Seokjin passed all the rules Taehyung made easily. Kiwoon brightens up every day and slowly gets along with other people easier. When the three of them went to the grocery store together, usually Kiwoon will stick with Taehyung, never interested in other people but after Seokjin steps into their life, Kiwoon sticks with Seokjin instead.
Plus, the boy let Seokjin buy many kinds of vegetables to stock at home too.
When Taehyung video called his brother and Hoseok , telling them about their days. Namjoon and Hoseok can’t help it but are surprised by Kiwoon action these days. Their reactions are not different from what Taehyung thinks it might be so he smiles.
“What? Kiwoon what? Eat vegetables? HOW?”
“No fucking way, are you kidding me?”
So Taehyung gives all his praise to an alpha nanny.
“It’s because Seokjin makes various dishes for him, it’s never the same dish as before. I swear” Taehyung felt a soft smile tugging on his lips. “He’s a good guy, always calm, never raises his voice at Kiwoon but talks to him with reasons instead, he’s really good with this job. Kiwoon really like him”
“What about you? Do you like him too?” The sudden question make Taehyung startles, after Kiwoon was born he never thought about love again, not even once because the last one ending badly and left a big scar inside his heart, He doesn’t want to focus on other people more than his son but this time Namjoon asked him with serious, he has to think about it again.
He knows that since Seokjin steps into his life, everything is better, he has time to relax, has someone to talk to without judgement even though he's the older one but Seokjin is always give him some good advice and that made him stay in a good state not going insane because of life issues.
The land after the rain is the first thing he could smell, he could smell Seokjin before smell Kiwoon sometimes, maybe because the younger has to walk around his apartment even in his main bedroom when he has to lull Kiwoon to sleep.
There’s one time he slipped on a toothbrush and almost hit the bathroom floor if Seokjin didn’t catch around his waist just in time. Normally they should separate but they’re not, they just hug (kind of) each other for minutes.
The omega couldn’t deny it feels so warm and good when those strong arms hold him in place, it’s too good to make him worry a little. He’s not supposed to feel like that.
And the omega can tell Seokjin feels something too because his heartbeat picks up suddenly, it’s runk loudly in his ears.
The younger one avoided looking him in his eyes and didn't talk much for a week.
“He’s still young, there’s no way he will be interesting in an older omega like me”
“You’re not answering my question Kim Taehyung, I just want to know about your feelings. Do you like him?”
“...” Taehyung paused for a long pause before sighing, rubbing his tired eyes. “Yeah..Yes, I think I do”
“It’s okay, you couldn’t control your feeling but I want you to be careful this time”
Taehyung shaked his head, he might accept that he likes the younger but it’s not mean he will take action because surely Kiwoon is his first priority after all.
“Dad, come to sleep” He doesn’t know, he is deep in his thoughts for how long but he guesses it’s long enough because Kiwoon only wakes up in the middle of the night when he couldn’t sense Taehyung around him.
“Kiwoon will go to pee pee” Kiwoon can go to the bathroom by his own these day, thanks to Seokjin again, so he wait for his son to come back while breathing slowly the faint scent of rain that remaining in this room, suddenly all the stresses wash out and sleepy replace it.
“Dad” the weight on his chest makes him know Kiwoon is climbing to sleep with him.
“Yes?”
“How long will Jin Hyung stay with us?” It was strange that his son was asking like that, Taehyung alert a little.
What happened?...
“Why are you asking like that?”
“Nothing, I just want Jin Hyung to stay with us forever, I like him so much” His breath caught in his throat before he decided to hug the boy closer to his chest while nuzzling into the soft hair.
“I don’t know but I want him to stay too”

Taehyung used to have Seokjin around himself more and more, he thought many times if Seokjin stayed like this for a long time, it would be good. Kiwoon is happy and he’s happy too. When he has Seokjin taking care of Kiwoon, he has time to go to the hospital and take care of his mother,
She’s slowly getting better and even though she still can’t give Taehyung any response, Taehyung still talks to her, telling her about Kiwoon and Seokjin every day.
Until one day, it was good, everything looked beautiful.
It was Hoseok’s free day, he came to pick Kiwoon up to hang out like an uncle who love his nephew so much, said again and again that he will go with his nephew only, Taehyung frowned, he knew Hoseok has a plan to leave him and Seokjin to stay together all day.
But the idea of staying at the apartment alone with the said alpha makes Taehyung nervous a little, he’s not scared the other might jump at him, not at all. He just doesn’t know how to act.
“So.. let's go to the store?”
They’re decided to go to buy new clothes for Kiwoon, since the boy has grown up a little and his clothes almost can’t fit on.
“Taehyung-ssi, This outfit looks great. Kiwoon can wear it when he goes out with Hoseok-ssi next week” The young alpha show Taehyung, a light blue shirt with jeans, Taehyung nodded.
“It’s good, I like it”
At that moment he goes tense when he smells something he never wants to smell ever again. It's a strong pine, someone might like it but not him. He clenched his jaws and Seokjin noticed immediately, he didn’t hesitate to slide his long fingers to interwin their hands together.
“Taehyung-ssi, what happ---” He didn’t have a chance to say what he wanted because there was laughter behind them.
“Wow Kim Taehyung, never thought we will meet again. Bring a new daddy to shop, huh?” Strong pine shows that the owner is very confident in himself, it was so strong almost disgusting for Seokjin’s taste. He’s tense while staring at the other alpha with cold eyes and growling, stepping out before Taehyung to hide him from the other alpha.
Taehyung looked at Seokjin with shock, he had never heard Seokjin growl before, but it seems like the other alpha won't be affected at all. He clicks his tongue while watching the two of them with joy.
“Please step back” Seokjin said with the other alpha without fear, even though the other has a bigger form and is taller than him. They are not the same rank.
“Interesting, your taste is so low, let this kid become a new dad instead of me, I told you before, don’t keep it. It got you in embarrassing state”
Seokjin never has this rage in his life, this man insults Taehyung and Kiwoon, no need to prove he knows it’s him. A real father of Kiwoon.
It went too fast, Seokjin freed Taehyung’s hand and punched the older alpha in his jaw. The other alpha lifts his back hand to clean the corner of his lips. He’s bleeding. The other alpha punched Seokjin back harder, then Taehyung screamed out loud, and started crying when he couldn’t do anything, only seeing Seokjin get a punch again and again.
The crown shouted for security but nothing better. Seokjin got a bruise on his cheek and he couldn’t take it anymore.
“Seokjin stop!! We’re not together, stop hurting yourself like that!”
After shouting like that he knows immediately he shouldn’t do that, Seokjin only stared at him with hurt in his eyes, his scent of fresh rain became a bitter rain , he got punched so hard and fell onto the floor.
Security comes and takes the problem alpha out but when they want to help Seokjin’s up, he denies it all.
All the way back to his apartment, they drove in silence, no one said a single word, Seokjin didn’t spare a glance at him until they arrived at the familiar building.
Why did he say those things?
Seokjin protects him and Kiwoon, he doesn’t hesitate to punch that dirty mouth even though he knows he can’t take him down.
Hoseok was shocked when he saw how bruised Seokjin is. Kiwoon is not different, the boy sobbing hard while hugging his Jin Hyung for dear life, Seokjin whispered something and then denied Hoseok who wanted to take care of him.
“It’s alright Hoseok-ssi”
Kiwoon didn't let him go alone, he ran into Seokjin’s room with tears in his eyes.
“What happened?” Taehyung dragged Hoseok to the couch before telling him every single thing.
“I met him, you know him. He insults me, insults Kiwoon so Seokjin gets mad and punches him first. They fight but I know Seokjin can’t beat that bastard, I don’t want him to hurt himself like that, I swear I really am, so I told him we’re not together he has no reason to hurt himself for me” Taehyung released a shudder breath. “That’s why I fucked up hyung”
“You know, you shouldn’t do that, right?”
Taehyung nodded while shutting his eyes, he doesn’t know how to fix this, they’re not together but the feelings are true, he’s not sure Seokjin wants to hear it now.
“Fix it Tae, you have to fix it”
That night Kiwoon was crying… he’s not sobbing but just crying all night, falling asleep around four in the morning, just like him.
That’s why it’s too late.
Seokjin is gone…
Not a single thing left.
He already knows why his son is crying overnight.
Because Seokjin was gone.
Taehyung clenched his fist around a note and contract that left on the table. Note that say sorry for can’t work until the contract ends and he will pay back as fast as he can.
“Dad” The omega didn’t try to hide his son how hard he’s crying. It’s hurt both mentally and physically, they hug each other and cry like that.
“Kiwoon begged him, Kiwoon want us to stay together but Jin Hyung have to go”
“Dad sorry, It’s my fault” He never saw Kiwoon crying so hard like this before. What has he done? He hurt Seokjin, Kiwoon and then himself.
The two of them didn’t have energy to do anything, Taehyung took a day off for weeks, they just stayed in the apartment, breathing a faint rain that started to fade now.
Taehyung usually sneak into Seokjin’s old room when Kiwoon fall asleep, curl into a ball and breath Seokjin’s scent, but Kiwoon will join him around midnight, sleep on the same bed so after the fourth night they decided to sleep on Seokjin’s old bed instead of them.
Taehyung hugs his son tightly, they both know they miss Seokjin. It has to be home when the alpha stays around.
“Kiwoon wants Jin Hyung to come back home” Taehyung shut his eyes, and didn't allow the tears in his eyes to fall.
“Dad, did you love Jin Hyung? Kiwoon love him, Kiwoon want to be his son”
It hurts more than he expected, it hurts like he has no Oxygen to breathe. He knows Seokjin will be a great father even though he’s still young but he already proves that he will protect them from anything.
It’s him, who ruined everything.
“Can I love him?”
The boy nodded before start sobbing again,
His heart breaks into a million pieces, he thinks about what Namjoon told him yesterday, his brother told him to listen to his heart and act on it.
“I will find him and bring him back tomorrow”
He still has an application, there’s an address of Seokjin and he will go to that place first. Hoseok will take care of Kiwoon while he goes to find Seokjin. He didn’t want to call because Seokjin won’t talk to him again.
Unfortunately….
Yoongi shares a glance with Jimin when he opens the door and sees the older omega. They can tell who he is just from the scent. Lavender.
“Hello, I’m Min Yoongi, Seokjin’s close friend, he’s go to work and won’t come back until 8”
Taehyung tears up when he hears the alpha already has a new job, Jimin can’t take it any longer, the other omega looks terrible like he didn’t get enough sleep and food and all he did was cry.
“We can bring you to his workplace” Jimin slid his smartphone while Yoongi rolled his eyes with annoyance on his face.
“Why you want to call that brat every time, just call Seokjin”
“Don’t be a dick head now Hyung, Jungkook follow Seokjin Hyung to make sure he’s okay and Seokjin is working”
“Okay let’s go” Jimin touched Taehyung lightly without consent but Taehyung didn’t mind he just wanted to bring Seokjin back home. “Seokjin Hyung looks terrible too, I know you didn’t want it to end like this because you came to find him so, go and talk to him. I wish the best for you two”
The older omega managed to say thank you to the couple before getting out of the car, stared at the building nervously.
He breathed in and then walked into the university library.
The alpha stops working when he can smell the familiar lavender scent.
There’s no way Taehyung will come here.
No way… he has no reason to do so.
“Seokjin” but the soft voice behind him screams that he’s wrong.
The alpha slowly travels his gaze up to meet an omega who never leaves his heart and his mind since he walked out from that apartment. He clenched his fist when he saw the elder got thin, so thin, there’s a dark circle under his eyes, he felt bad for seeing the other being like this. Seokjin has to gain all of his power to not lean in and touch the elder, ask did everything okay? Why is he here? But the moment Taehyung lowered his gaze and started crying.
Seokjin lost his control.
He steps closer, grabs around the other arms while asking quickly. “Taehyung ssi, what happened? Why are you crying? Or has anything happened to Kiwoon? Please tell me”
Taehyung smiles a little, the alpha has his heart to ask about Kiwoon, that means he has some hope, right?
Seokjin follows him to the cafe near the library when his turn to break without any protest, he dubs it because the younger guesses something happens to him or Kiwoon but Seokjin still avoids his eyes.
He misses the alpha so much that his heart starts to ache so he gains all the power and being the one who grabbed a hand before him first, caresses those knuckles with his thumb, almost trembling by the touch.
“I’m here to tell you I’m sorry that I said that thing, I didn't mean to, I just don't want you to be hurt” When Seokjin only gave him a sigh of tiredness, Taehyung felt bitter.
He comes here with a passion to bring him back, he won't go back with regrets, he has to try more and do his best.
You should be brave Kim Taehyung, you are older than him by almost 10 years just act like the adult you are.
“Indeed, we are not together” The alpha clenched his fist, Taehyung went on faster. “But it’s not mean I didn’t have any feeling with you”
Once Seokjin heard that he snapped his head up to look Taehyung in his eyes, full of hope, courage Taehyung to go on.
“I like you, for a while. But I’m afraid I will be the reason that you stuck, didn't have a chance for your bright future, and I already have a son, you are still young, you have nothing to do with us” Taehyung ignored the alpha who shook his head and was about to protest.
“My apartment is never homey like when you're around, Please forgive me for saying such a thing to hurt you” The omega wanted to cry, his lips trembling but when the alpha cupped his cheeks with his warm and big hands, Taehyung let it go. He’s sobbing so hard, gripping the other wrists for dear life, and left out a shuddered breath when the younger wipe his tears out quietly.
Seokjin holds his hand up to his lips, kisses his knuckles with a light touch and then shuts his eyes.
“I like you so much and I love Kiwoon, I never thought about you liking me back because I’m younger, jobless, and far from your league so when I heard you said like that, it hurts more than I expected, I left even Kiwoon begged me for an hour, I am such an asshole, I’m sorry for left the two of you”
“Just come back to us, come back home, I won’t allow you to go anywhere else ever again” Taehyung buried his nose in the younger palm, scenting his wrist just to comfort himself.
“Kiwoon said once, he wants you to stay with us forever and you know what? He said he wants to be your son”
When Seokjin’s expression went to anything but shock, Taehyung giggles while leaning in to connect their lips, not bothered that they are outside, he just wants to show Seokjin that he’s sincere.
“I also like Kiwoon’s idea”
“Are you serious?” Seokjin whispered.
“Never be this serious before, come back to our home, you don’t have to quit your job here. I guess Kiwoon can go to nursery school now”
Seokjin beamed at him while joining their hands together. “But you know it, right? I can always take care of Kiwoon”
“Well, you can do it when you're done with work”
That evening, Yoongi and Jimin bring Seokjin and his belongings to a familiar building. Seokjin climbed up nervously, he already met the dad but how about the son? Is he going to be happy to see him?
Kiwoon throws himself into the alpha’s open arms, hiding his wet face to the crooks of Seokjin’s throat while sobbing hard.
“Shh, It’s okay, I’m back home”
It’s been an hour until the young alpha manages to calm the boy down and lulls him to sleep, he burrows his eyebrows when scented of the boy and his dad barely lingering here.
He is surprised once again when he steps into his used-to-be room later, it's full of lavender and chocolate scented.
“Why…?”
“We slept on your bed for days now, it helps us to sleep” Taehyung didn't surprise when the younger hugged around his torso and breathed his scent to release the tension.
Seokjin release a shudder breathe.
“We should stop talking formally” The omega hugged his arms around the other neck, walking until they're on the bed, Taehyung sighed happily before the younger pulled him into a passionate kiss.
It was a little sloppy but Taehyung still liked it, they moved their lips together for a while before Taehyung let Seokjin slip his tongue inside, taste him properly, the elder moaning into a kiss, and whining in protest when the younger pulled away.
To move his hot lips along the omega’s throat, open-mouth kiss right at his scent grand. Want nothing more than shower the elder with his scent.
His pants suddenly tighten, Seokjin groaned, thrust his hips hard to make their groin touch even more. Taehyung is on the same page, he felt hot all over his body, the omega buried his nose in the alpha scented grand, shower his scent over the alpha too.
They belong to each other.
His breath caught in his throat when Seokjin slid a big hand inside his pants, grabbed a soft cheek and squeezed it tight.
“Seokjin..K--Kiwoon” It’s not like he didn't want it but his son sleeps peacefully next door, he think he couldn’t stay quiet while let Seokjin claim him properly, he want it as much as Seokjin wants but they can’t do it now.
Seokjin groaned, bit lightly around Taehyung’s scent grand before slipping out from the omega, lay flat beside him while entwining their hands together.
“Sorry about that”
“No need to, it’s normal between couples, isn't it? But maybe next time, I can make Hoseok hyung take care of Kiwoon for a while” If he’s going too needy, Seokjin didn’t complain about it, just nodded along.
“I know maybe it’s too fast but I want to be your mate” Seokjin can tell Taehyung was nervous because he’s trembling.
“I just want to tell you, no need to worry”
“But I’m older than you by years and I already have a son, do you want omega like this?”
Seokjin gives him a light kiss then whispers in his ear “So what? I love you and Kiwoon, it’s not important what you walk through in your past but it’s important that you want to share your future with me or not”
Taehyung stared at their joined hands then smile “Yes, I want to”
They have enough time to learn about each other, one day they will be mates for the rest of their life.
“Dad… let me sleep here too” Taehyung has a thin face, he doesn’t know how much Kiwoon heard so he didn’t respond in time, Seokjin gets out of their bed to lift the boy up and walk back to bed.
“I’m happy when dad and papa happy”
‘Papa’ holds his breath, his heart stops beating for a moment then beats faster.
“...call….call me again?”
“Papa… can I call you this?”
“Yes, Of course yes. Thank you, papa will take care of you and dad forever” Taehyung looked at two people he loves then smiled.
This is right.
He could place his heart and life in Seokjin’s palm, nothing will harm them, not now and not in the future.
