Connor knew he was skating on very thin ice when it came to Lester’s generosity, particularly after the damage Sid and Nancy had caused.
And he was starting to have serious second thoughts about his plan to improve matters – the absolute devastation in Lester’s kitchen wasn’t likely to go down well.
“What on earth happened here?”
Crap, Lester was home early.
“Er, I was cooking us dinner?” replied Connor nervously.
Lester sighed. “You really don’t make things easy,” he said, and before Connor could respond, pulled him into a kiss.
Suddenly, the ground under his feet felt a lot firmer.
