At first, they were glad that Essek had remained asleep during the time that Caleb had been gone, though that feeling was soon overtaken by concern. Upon taking a closer look at the unconscious dark elf, it became apparent that this was no ordinary sleep. Essek was running a concerningly high fever, made even more concerning by the fact that the elf usually ran cooler than most.
Upon trying to wake him, they received no response, something that just made the situation even more worrying.
