Chapter Text
Denki and Izuku’s plan was simple. Take out as many robots as they can, take out people, save people, and try not to look close. The reason for the last one is for strategy purposes. For example, Denki could be running alone and someone would try to knock him out, Izuku would come from above and take out the kid. Once they finally got in, Izuku acted out their plan.
“You take the left, I’ll be taking the roof.” Izuku told Denki. They nodded and set out towards the left. Izuku had been trying to roof hop for awhile now and she thinks that she has gotten better. It wasn’t that hard and she watched some underground heroes do it for a while now.
There was nobody on the roof, thank Kami, and there were robots. It confused Izuku but she didn’t question it, she knew that this school would do weird things to get to whatever point they had. She managed to save around 10 people by now, all by herself (without a quirk obviously) mind you, and also caused 21 people to have set backs. A robot came at her and she pulled out a tweezer from her sock and tried to pry the robot open before remembering where she was. She couldn’t just look into the robots when she had to earn points.
Denki, on the other hand, had no robots because people were taking them. People were getting thrown and they just knew that they were next so they rushed to a rooftop, and they saw a whole load of robots on there. No wonder there’s no robots down there, they thought. They took out 4 of the 3 point robots and helped Izuku take out a 2 pointer. Denki fried a couple of the robots, they found out that they have to do it at 7,555 volts or else the robots will take it as energy.
“I have an idea,” Denki said. Izuku looked over at them, arching her eyebrow. “What if we drop down but make it look like we came from nowhere and take out as many people as possible?” They explained but also asked.
“That could work but what if someone sees?” Izuku asked. Denki just shrugged.
“We will cross that bridge when we get there, first let’s clear this rooftop out.” Denki spoke.
They cleared out the rooftop together and found an area where there were lots of people. All of those people were busy so they dropped in and went by unnoticed. It looked like there were around 20 people in the same place and they took out 12 of them. Izuku managed to take out Bakugou Katsuki out of all people. She squealed in delight when an x showed up above him. The other 8 were already out of order. (LMAO that sounds like they are robots but they are actually people)
The exam was close to finishing when a girl cried out. They recognized it as the voice of the gravity girl. Uraraka, was it? Shaking their thoughts out of their head, they headed in that direction when the people were running the other way. They looked at each other, having a mental debate of whether or not they should go check it out. They decided that it couldn’t hurt. Turns out there was a giant robot coming their way, now they wish that they hadn’t come this way. Uraraka’s leg was stuck under a rock and she kept trying to pull it out but luck wasn’t on her side. Denki ran up to her and lifted the rock that the girl was trapped under, and once she was out Izuku got her out of the way safely.
“You ready?” Denki asked, taking a deep breath.
Izuku nodded and said, “I’m always ready.” (That was a lie but no one needed to know that)
Both of them charged at the robot and Denki released their electricity. They fried a robot and Izuku couldn’t be more proud. Izuku tore the robot apart, so if it was working after Denki had fried it, there was no way it would work now. A siren sounds and they tallied up the scores. Denki got some really bad grades in the written part but don’t worry, they feel like they passed the physical exam. Denki and Izuku hugged each other tightly and went over to the girl that was currently still on the floor.
“Are you alright?” Izuku asked. The girl pushed her hair out of her face and nodded.
“Thank you so much!! I don’t know what would have happened to me if no one saved me.” Uraraka, Izuku remembered, said. She bowed slightly to her and Denki.
“It’s no problem!” Denki told her. Still, she waved off their kind words and kept saying thank you until Recovery Girl came over to them.
“Are you alright, dear?” Recovery Girl asked. Uraraka nodded her head but the youthful heroine still healed her. “You’ll be a little tired which means that you will get better.”
Denki and Izuku decided to wait for Hitoshi to finish his test. Plus, the both of them felt a lot more comfortable with him around, although they can handle being by themselves just fine.
Meanwhile, in the other gym, Monoma and Hitoshi decided to team up. Monoma had the awesome idea of them working together and Hitoshi didn’t mind all that much. They thought about what could happen but they couldn’t find themselves to care. They were both well aware that they should’ve gotten to know each other a little bit more but honestly, they didn’t have the energy to give a -. Would this mess up the way they get their points? Probably. Did it matter to them? No, not really.
Monoma wanted them to be at the front while Hitoshi wanted them to be in the middle. Monoma had explained how it would give them an advantage, they could run away faster and take out robots in the area that they found themselves in. Hitoshi had explained that it would get them taken out if they were slow. Since they would be at the front, the people following from behind would be able to take in the points that they missed. Monoma agreed, albeit reluctantly. It made sense but Monoma’s toxic traits were showing.
“I’m just saying that if we follow your plan, we will be taken out and all the robots will be gone by the time we aren’t out.” Hitoshi had said. He was trying to get Monoma to agree on his plan but the little bear wasn’t listening.
Monoma shot back, “Well if you think that my plan is bad, what is your plan?”
“We stay in the middle, once Nezu gives the all clear. We just follow the people who are in front and if it calls to take them out, we will. Then we split up and try to seem like we aren’t working together for a major portion of the exam. Then if one of us sees the other, we get to them to help out.” Hitoshi told him. Monoma was silent for a few minutes, trying to take it in.
“That, actually, is a better plan. Sorry that you had to deal with me acting like that,” Monoma said.
“Well the plan is good because one of my best friends is a strategist. You can basically see what happened next,” Hitoshi said fondly.
They got into position, waiting for the announcement that Nezu was going to give in three, two, one.
“The exam is going to start… NOW!” Nezu’s cheery voice yelled out from the speakers.
The people at the front of the line rushed in first, only to get taken out by the robots or people in the back. (*Cough* Hitoshi and Monoma *cough*) The robots had practically spawned so Monoma thanked whatever gods were out there for making him listen to Hitoshi. Hitoshi, on the other hand, was trying to stack up points while Monoma ran around copying people’s quirks. They had split up now and were a good distance away from each other. People were running around like headless chickens trying to find the robots, while Hitoshi had the idea to actually go into the buildings since the set looked like a city. There were some robots in there but not a whole lot. Monoma was gaining points by knocking people out and saving people from rogue robots.
This whole thing went on for another hour and by the end of it, everyone was tired. The sad part was the fact they needed to wait for three (3) months to get the results. Monoma rolled his eyes when he first found that out. It made sense but also the school needed to add suspense. The suspense part doesn’t make much sense but it’s what the schools do and Monoma was pissed when he needed to wait for the results of his middle school acceptance.
Anyways, Hitoshi and Monoma exchanged numbers so they could become better friends and if they actually get into the same class, they would be so happy. After the exam had finished, Nezu kept them for an extra thirty minutes so he could answer any questions. A lot of people had questions, some of them were really good ones about things they needed to know and others were just random so they had no relation to anything.
The walk home between Hitoshi, Denki, and Izuku was filled with laughter and smiles. They told each other the things they went through. Izuku filled in the gaps that Denki missed out on and Hitoshi practically had to recite what Monoma said to him because Denki wanted to know the exact words. Izuku giggled slightly at the small but playful fight happening between them at that moment.
“Guys, shut the fuck up,” Izuku said suddenly. It caused both of them to shut up because they had never heard Izuku use such a colorful word before.
“Huh? Why? What’s going on?” Denki asked. Izuku shushed them before looking back at whatever she was looking at.
Hitoshi looked in the direction of where Izuku turned her head to and saw this man and woman at the door of Izuku’s apartment. They seemed to be taking out furniture and so all three of them rushed to the floor where Izuku’s room was located.
“Why are they here? What are they even doing?” Denki asked while they were climbing up the stairs and Izuku looked at them, gave out a soft sigh, and explained.
“Those are my parents, at least I know one of them is. I don’t know who the man is. Anyway, I Have no idea why they are here or what they are doing but I plan to find out. Just a warning, it might get a little messy,” Izuku informed them. They were a bit worried but it was probably nothing.
Oh, how wrong they were…
