When they had first met, sapnap at the ripe age of thirteen and george already seventeen, the older hadn't thought much of it, he was just dream's younger friend with the high piched voice and strict parents
But sapnap had clung on, shouting georges name whenever they were on call, asking to play games all the time, and even through voicecracks and red cheeks, sapnap would go out of his way to befriend george
And well, sapnap eventually became so much more then just dreams friend
As the years went on, they became friends in their own right, staying up together on vc and playing dumb shooting games, yelling at each other for the stupidest things, all light hearted of course, but they bickered so much, and george grew a fondness towards it,
It wasnt all playful fighting, When sapnaps parent's divorced, something in sapnap had changed,
there had been nearly two weeks of radio silence, and george had been so worried, sitting and doing his uni classes wondering if sapnap was okay, but he came back, subdued and silent, it was a strange shift from how before even when he wasn't talking, sapnap seemed to scream for attention, but now the silence seemed to shrink him and his laugh was forced, and he his breath hitched whenever george screamed too loud,
It was a hard adjustment, for them all, but dream and george did their best and eventually sapnap was back to his normal self, all boisterous and energetic, but george could never forget how sapnap had been, he wanted to do everything in his power to keep him happy,
Sometimes when sapnaps dad or his stepmom made him stay off the computer to study, and sapnap wouldn't rebel and stay up late to play with them, george missed him... a lot... his missed the dumb jokes and the bad singing
It would be hard not to notice how sapnap sometimes got flustered when he spoke to george, and how sometimes his flirtatious comments seemed a little too real, and george contrary to popular belief wasn't oblivious, he was fully aware the sapnap in his teen years probably had some feelings toward him, and that was fine, it was cute, how he tried to rile george up and always fought for his attention, sapnap was generally just cute, everything he did was so endearing, his obsession with pandas and how he would ramble on about anything and everything he cared about
And george thought he deserved the world, but george hadn't wanted to be his world... now though he wasn't so sure
He didn't know when his feelings shifted from thinking sapnap little crush on him was cute to thinking that sapnap was cute, but man did it take up ample space in his brain,
It may have been around the time sapnap went to college, since dream never went, he would call george nonstop asking about what he needed to bring, what the classes would be like, should he join a fraternity, how were the parties, and george should have found it annoying, and he's sure a part of him did, but the light in sapnaps face, how nervous and excited he seemed pulled at George's heart,
And when he asked about what to wear, sapnap for whatever reason felt the need to show him options, and his thighs, oh his thighs, the way they were just there, bare and supple underneath his basketball shorts had George's blood racing, not to mention his arms and chest, did he have to change in front of him??
And his voice which was considerably deeper but still had the occasional crack that made the younger blush and the older cackle, sapnap was still just sapnap, but george wanted sapnap to be his sapnap
So yeah maybe george liked sapnap, that's fine, that's normal, sapnap was very likeable, but his youthful crush on george probably faded and now he's left seeing him as a friend, a best friend, but still a friend, and that's fine, george didn't need anything more, being able to just talk to and hang out with sapnap was enough, but it would be nice to call him his boyfriend, weep about how cute he was to his face, make him flushed red and flustered beyond function... pepper kisses on his face, hold his hand,
Yeah maybe that would be nice
