“How could you?!” Asked Red, backing away from Pink, terrified.
The vent door slammed shut behind her as she climbed out. “Don’t you DARE… push that button.” She demanded, pulling out a knife cautiously.
“Y-you killed Yellow!!” Red Screamed, his hand hovering over the emergency meeting call button.
“It was justice for what she did to Blue. Blue was the most innocent crew mate here. Sure, she was sus, but I watched her scan and who used evidence against her? Yellow did!” Pink laughed.
“Yellow didn’t deserve any of this. Yellow didn’t deserve to be killed by a cowardly imposter, lustful for revenge.” He scowled, “I won’t make the same mistake she did. I’m not letting you get the satisfaction of killing me.” Red raised his hand over the button, looked back over at the terrified Pink still standing over by the vent, and sent his hand barreling down.
The button was pressed. Why wasn’t the emergency alarm going off? The lights flashed on and off red. Pink smiled. Red’s eyes widened.
“Heh… I didn’t think killing you would be this easy.” She said, walking slowly over to Red who stood against the cafeteria table, practically shaking. Pink twirled the knife in her hands.
“Wh- w- what?!” Yelled Red over the oxygen alarm. He was frozen in fear. None of the other crew mates heard his screams. They were all busy frantically trying to fix the O2 leak to hear.
“That’s right.” She stopped just inches away from him. “I’m going to kill you. The question is, how? Should I let the crew vote you out? Or just end it… right here and now?” She clicked the button on the left side of her helmet which lifted up the glass of it. A long, snakelike tongue made its way out. Red was unable to see her face due to the dim lighting. It was almost like she didn’t have one.
He pushed himself backwards against the table, wanting to get away, needing to get away. “Pink! Don’t do this!”
“You don’t understand, Red. Blue was my sussy baka. Yellow took her away from me. I have nothing left to lose now. She was the only reason I hadn’t already started killing you all.”
“I know, Pink! Listen, I know.. I know you’re upset. And you’re- you’re angry.. b-but you don’t have to do this.”
“I do. You’ll just try to tell them all I killed Yellow. You know I can’t let that happen. For the sake of my species’ survival.” Said Pink. Her tongue made its way back into the helmet and she pushed the button to shut it again. “I’m calling the meeting, Red. Or would you like me to get this over with?”
Red’s eyes darted between where Pink’s face would be and the knife Pink held in her hand, ready to stab at a moment’s notice. “Call a meeting! See what happens.”
She took that as an invitation, pushing Red to the ground as the lights returned to normal and the O2 alarm shut off. Pink smashed the button, sending a message to everyone on the ship that she had called an emergency meeting. She shoved the knife back into her spacesuit, smiling looking down at Red.
In came Purple, cyan, and both greens to the cafeteria.
“What’s going on?!” Yelled Lime.
“Pink!” Purple yelled, running over to her and Red. “What happened?!”
Red frantically stood up saying, “Purple, it’s not what it looks like-”
Pink hugged Purple tight before letting go to point at Red. “He tried to kill me. I was able to press the button just in time!”
“NO! Nononono, that’s not what happened. I saw Pink vent and-“ Red was cut off again.
“Red was the last one seen with yellow before she died.” Said Cyan, clutching Lime’s arm. “Maybe he was the one who killed her.”
“Cyan, you know how much I cared about Yellow. I would never do that to her.” Red pleaded.
“I cared about you, Red, but you betrayed my trust. I watched you climb out of that vent, knife in hand.” Pink cried, now gesturing to the vent behind her. “Purple, Green, Lime, Cyan, you have to believe me.
Green stepped forward, separating Pink and Red. “Oh I believe you alright.” He said, staring Red in the face, his hands on his hips. “Yellow did not die in vain. Lime, Cyan, help me with him, will you?”
Purple stayed behind with Pink who dramatically, but convincingly, cried into his shoulder. The rest of the crew dragged Red over to the airlock.
“NO! No, you don’t know what you’re doing! You’re making a mistake!” Yelled Red as he was locked inside.
“Goodbye, Red.” Said Cyan, Lime standing beside him.
“Red can join white in hell.” Green said as he hit the button control for the outer door and Red was sucked away into the vacuum of space. Pink and Purple watched as Red out into the stars.
“You’re safe now, Pink. I’m so sorry.” Purple said, hugging Pink now once again as they stared out the window.
Pink smiled underneath her helmet. Another perfect win for her.
