Work Text:

Stiles, Peter, Derek, and Scott are poring over maps of Beacon Hills, trying to figure out where the Alpha Pack is hiding Erica. They have this feeling of urgency and know they have to go out and search all possible hiding spots today.

Stiles hears a familiar car park outside and then the voices. Two hunters are looking for him. He turns his head and snarls as he focuses on what they are saying and who they are looking for. He's not aware his eyes glow red.

Scott steps back from the table in shock at Stiles' eyes.

Peter looks up and sees. "Shit!" He lays a hand on Stiles' shoulder. "What's wrong?"

Stiles stands up and keeps his focus on the two outside. "Hunters. They're looking for me." He closes his eyes so they return to normal and relaxes his stance. He turns to the others and sees both Scott and Derek staring at him. He scoffs. "I never said I was human."

The front door to the loft opens, and three heavily armed men in camouflage walk into the loft.

The one with the hunting cap on keeps his eyes on Peter and Derek.

The tall one steps forward. "Wilka! We need your help! We think one of your kind is stalking through San Fransico and leaving bodies everywhere."

Stiles scoffs. "I guarantee it's not one of my kind. We don't leave our kills lying around unless it looks like they died by normal means."

The rough, handsome hunter steps forward. "Our witch says that whatever is killing these people is immortal. As far as I know, you're kind are the only immortals out there."

Stiles scoffs. "There are a couple of other ones out there."

Derek and Scott have moved to the far side of the large table to watch both Stiles and the hunters.

Stiles shines red eyes as he smirks at them. "Tell me why I don't kill the three of you for blowing my human cover?"

They look at each other with a bit of nervousness.

The rough one says, "You only kill killers. You sometimes go six months without feeding, but you always kill the killers. You know we protect humans, and you protect humans. You wouldn't kill us. We found fifteen bodies, and we are trying to stop the killing. You would want to stop whatever this is just as much as we do and hopefully find it in your heart to forgive our blunder and help us."

The tall one walks to Stiles and hands a small carving to Stiles.

Stiles stiffens as he sees what's killing the humans. He looks around as he sees the death of the human that was holding this. When the scene fades, he looks at the tall one. "Wraith. It's a wraith, and a witch is controlling it. They would have to always wear the talisman they are using to control this wraith, or the wraith would shred them. Do you have pictures of the suspects?"

The one with the hunter's cap steps forward as he pulls a handful of photos from his pocket. He hands them to Stiles.

Stiles looks at them and spots it. He points to the talisman on the woman's neck. "Separate her from the Talisman, and Ebenezer will deal with her."

The tall one asks, "Ebenezer?"

Stiles nods. "Yes. We all play human when we aren't hunting. He ..." He looks through the photos and finds one. "This is Ebenezer. He doesn't like to kill. He hunts the terminal wards of hospitals and offers death to the ones that want to die."

The rough one looks at the photo and then at his little brother. "The creepy undertaker."

The three hunters give Stiles a short bow and turn to leave.

Before they can get to the door, he asks, "how did you find me here?"

The three look at each other. "We found a necromancer and asked her to talk to your last victim. The video clerk. You made it look like he was the victim of whoever you were looking for because you knew he would be the next victim. He told us you were still here, and you found the guy and stopped whatever killing spree he was on and made some alliance with him so that neither of you needs to kill."

Stiles nods. "Larson. Yeah. I had gone seven months between meals and was too weak to fly back to Frisco to hunt."

Scott gets bug-eyed. "You killed the video clerk?"

Derek looks at Peter and then at Scott. "He was going to die, either way. I think his death was considerably painless compared to what the insane Alpha had planned for him, don't you?"

Peter smiles at him.

Stiles turns and looks at Scott. "You can stop your judging right now."

The three hunters leave and go back the way they came.

Stiles sighs and crosses his arms as he decides what to do now. He holds up his hand and focuses on Scott, and Scott goes into a trance ... stands there.

Peter lays a hand on Stiles' shoulder. "Don't leave. My offer still stands."

Derek asks, "What are you going to do now? Scott's the only one that has a problem with you not being human. I'm part of your pack and have no problems with what you are and I like that you wear Peter's scent so often."

Stiles looks at both Derek and Peter. "I have three options. I can accept Deucalion's offer of him as my werewolf mate and blood donor. I can accept your offer, Peter, as my werewolf mate and blood donor. Or, I can take John and leave here."

Derek says, "Scott was afraid you were a squishy human that would get permanently hurt or killed. I know better and trust your abilities."

Peter says, "If you aren't ready to be my Mate, we can remain as we are now, and I can remain your lover and blood donor. If you want to leave, I can come with you, if you'll have me."

Stiles sighs and turns to Peter with a crooked and shy smile. "John likes it here. I like it here. I don't want to leave. I do love you, Peter. Give me a little more time on the mating thing, and I will stay here. Scott's the only problem."

He looks at Scott and then Derek. "Scott's not going to react too well to the fact that I'm a vampire, even though I've been feeding on Peter's blood for months."

Derek smiles. "Vampires can make bitten werewolves forget things. Erase his memory from the point you realized that the hunters were outside, and your eyes shone red."

Peter extends his claws, "Or I can make him forget all of that."

Stiles smiles. "Yeah, you'd skew how he feels about Allison, and that's keeping Chris on our side. I'll erase his memory of the last few minutes."

Derek adds, "Can you adjust how he feels about Peter, so he's not so damned upset and jealous that Peter's scent is on you?"

Stiles nods. "Yeah. That's because he only focuses on Peter attacking him in the forest. I can erase that memory, so he thinks it's his coping mechanism, or it wasn't as bad of an ordeal as he thought. He never talked about it to anyone else so no one can remind him of it."

Derek nods with a little smile and moves back to where he was standing at the table, as does Peter.

Stiles erases the two memories from Scott and returns to where he was standing.

He snaps his fingers, and Scott snaps out of it.

Scott looks around and then gets a confused look on his face. Then he thinks for a minute. "What if we are going about this the wrong way?"

Stiles stands up and looks at him. "What do you mean?"

Scott scratches his head. "We're looking at this as a place to hide prisoners. We need to think about this differently. What do you need to hold werewolves? Then look for those elements."

Stiles bobs his head. "Yea? Um... wolfsbane and moonstone and mountain ash, that's the three things that can keep werewolves weak enough to hold."

Derek and Peter stand up.

Derek's mouth drops open. "I forgot about moonstone."

Peter starts typing on Stiles' computer.

Scott asks, "Moonstone? How does that affect werewolves?"

Derek says, "It isolates us from moonlight. Without moonlight, we grow weak, and our wolves become harder to control, and we go feral as we grow weak. That could be why the Alpha Pack held them for almost three months. It takes three months to weaken our human side enough for the wolf to take control. The full moon is in three days. If we don't find them by then..."

Peter looks up. "I have them. There is an abandoned bank in the warehouse district that lined the walls of the vault with moonstone, and that would be the perfect place for them to keep Erica."

Stiles paces as he says, "Deucalion must be planning something to let us know where they are on the full moon so that the feral Betas attack and kill you two. They know you wouldn't take Allison with you, and you don't trust Peter, so you would leave him here to guard me."

Scott nods. "Yeah. Deucalion says he wants the two of you to join his pack and suggests that if either of us kills the other, then the survivor can join as well."

Stiles and Peter go over the blueprints and find the weakness in the wall from the failed bank robbery attempt a few years ago.

They believe that's a trap, so Stiles finds another weakness. A Pharoh's Architect wall. They took all the equipment out through this tunnel into the aqueducts and built this last wall when they built the bank. This wall is the weakest spot. If Peter wasn't trained as an architect, they would have never found it.

The four of them will go through the tunnels and break in through that wall. It's across from the vault, and they can get in and get out in short order.

They separate to get lights, mountain ash, and medical supplies for Erica. They will meet at the loft in two hours.
